C6-01 : Music Player's Now Playing List

Hi every one,
Music player in Nokia Belle doent have the 'Now Playing' list option.
So i am not able to add some 10-15 selected songs to 'Now Playing' list. Instead I created a Play List with name 'Now Playing' and every time deleting old entries and adding new ones.
So Pls add this Must-Feature to Nokia Belle Music Player.

Mediasource 5 Now playing list prob

I don't know if this is the right thread but anyway.
I have a X-fi Xtreme music.
I installed the latest drivers and Mediasource 5. I have a serious problem with the way it works now. I had Mediasource 3.30 as my primary music player because of a specific feature. When I double-clicked any media file associated with it, it automatically added it to the now playing list WITHOUT removing the other now playing items. In Mediasource 5, every time I try to open a file, it removes all files from queue and plays that file, which is highly annoying because I have to drag and drop everything now and if I make the mistake of opening a file instead of adding it to the list, it destroys the list. Saving the list as a playlist isn't doing much better, as it removes the whole playlist from the Now playing queue when I open a file. Is there any workaround for that, a command to tweak in windows file associations or should I revert back to 3.30?

Well, if I could do that and they actually stayed there no matter what, I'd li've with that. The problem is, even if I right click and just add them to play, when I play a file through normal means, the list disappears. What I hate is that there is no permanent way to keep the list. They could have added an option for that instead of outright dropping it. Add to that that I had to make?a desktop shortcut to access the console, since the mixer button isn't there anymore... Now it's just like the average media player ?
Oh well, if it gets on my nerves too bad, I'll be reverting back to 3.30, whose only problem for me was that it couldn't play flac unless I dragged them in (I have Coreflac installed so playing them wasn't a problem). Thanks for the reply.

Creative Mediasource - Now Playing List on star

I have been using Mediasource for quite a while though and loving it. However, I have one question about the Now Playing List on startup on the program. Originally when i installed the program (i have done this a few times so i know this to be true), the Now Playing list from when i last closed down the player was saved and used by the player the next time i opened it up.
Now, mediasource is stuck on a Now Playing list i created about six months ago every time i open it, no matter what is in the now playing list when i close it. This is not a huge disadvantage as i can save playlists and open them up straight after mediasource opens but it is an issue on convenience.
I was hoping someone knew a way to set it up so the now playing list i have open is kept intact for startup on closure of mediasource. I have fiddled a bit with closing the player with different skins, with the music stopped, playing, paused and with different options enabled but to no avail.
I do however remember having this problem and then randomly one day the now playing list i had had been stored and still continues to remain at start up till this day. Though i cannot remember anything different i was doing that day. I think mediasource is toying with me :P
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try deleting the.dat file in "C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Application Data\Creative\MediaSource".

How to show now playing list on TV

Our new Sony DM Port IPod dock plays audio and video from our IPod Classic, but the "Now Playing" list does not show on the TV. Any suggestions for settings? We have tried the TV out as "on" and "off". Is there an app?

I agree. On the iPhone (4) with iOS5 in the Video player you have a all your Movies, TV Shows, Music Videos and Podcasts that can be played individually, with no Shuffle option. If you use the Music Player you can you have all your music and you can Shuffle a Playlist, you can Shuffle an Artists, you can Shuffle an Album and you can Shuffle by Podcast album. Since the Music Player plays videos correctly this would seem to be the correct solution: use Music player instead of Video player.
Like the iPhone, on the iPad (1G) with iOS5 the Video player doesn't Shuffle, each video (Movie, TV Show, Music Video and Podcast) must be played individually. However, on the iPad, the Music player DOESN'T play Music Videos correctly (it tries, but repeated selecting the video image to bring the video to fore actually causes the Music player to crash). It plays the audio only and provides on a preview size snapshot from the video. So while you can start playing one video and selecting the Shuffle button on the right side of the Track Status and the song will play and will Shuffle when done, there is no actual VIDEO playing. Clearly the application is broken.

Actually there is no legit way at all to downgrade.
Restore wiil always restore to the latest available software.

Media player now playing list

I have a Verizon Curve 9330. I just got it. I cannot find a way to view the now playing in list form or to view playlists in list form other than the default 3 at a time. Seriously, one song at a time on now playing, how convenient, I have playlists with over 100 on them. Do I really have to stop and sit down and scroll half an hour to find a song? sorta takes the "mobility" out of a mobile doesn't it. If there's no intuitive way to view a list of now playing, can I downgrade to the media player version I had in my 8330? I never had problems with that one and it was easy to use.

So i finally converted to the x-fi wave. Point is i was all happy until i encountered the sad and super annoying playlist of the new creative media player. before i had the audigy 2zc or w/e with the old media player. but it was a lot nicer, all the features were in it and u didn't have to open different panels to access a lot of the special settings.
Point is, now i cant keep a clean record of the music i play. every time i open a new mp3. it deletes everything. only way to actually make a play list is to drag and drop a bunch ... thats way annoying. i think this is a bug. so please help me anybody Message Edited by archangel202 on 09-20-200708:27 PM

Unable to drag any music into my phone play lists

I have just sync'd my phone and all the music in my play lists have been erased. I can still see them as purchases but I'm unable to drag any of them back into play lists to recreate them. I get the circle with a line through it when I attempt to. Any ideas its driving me potty.. the only things that have changed are updating the itunes software as promted. I have used a PC elsewhere since but have made sure that its authourised etc and all seems fine. Any help greatly appreciated??

Did you try clicking on the check mark (to remove the check mark) and then dragging the CD content to your Shuffle? I kept having problems dragging the CD to the Shuffle. Then I Unchecked a track and dragged over. Voila!
If you click on all the check marks on the CD, then highlight the first track, then while holding "shift" click on the last track - and drag it over to the Shuffle - you won't have to go back and forth dragging tracts to the Shuffle.
Now, I realize that I may have been the last person in the world to figure this out - but I was so excited when I did, and it makes life so e-z!

Music player that will play files from cloud?

I have more music than space for it on my iphone.
I'd like to move it to a cloud file (box) where I have 50 gigs free storage, but only if I can find a player that will play from the cloud and playlists without having the files resident on my phone.
Does anyone know of such a music player?

I didn't read very far. What is the licensing issue? I think the problem is that no one wants to invest the money in an application for TVs or smart BD players or whatever, that would allow them to emulate a hardware BD player. Yes, use of a codec could come with a licensing fee, but they have it for playing the files that require it.
No question for me that a menu/chapter selection option for such circumstances is warranted. But for now it seems based in a "computer" that then streams to the watching device.

Why is there no now playing list?

Let's say I'm making a playlist and I've added a few songs from Nirvana to it. I browse to the Foo Fighters and add a couple songs. I remember there was a song I liked from the Nirvana, but I can't remember if it's already on the list.
I then have to open the list, look, realize it's not there, then go back to Nirvana, add it, then go back to Foo Fighters. This would all be solved if I could just have a temporary playlist window. Most other MP3 player programs have this feature... why doesn't iTunes?

That's what iTunesDJ playlist is for.
You can add, delete and change song order around.
It is a "Now playing" playlist.
Double click it to open it in a new window.
Selct songs in the regular window then drag them to the iTunesDJ window or right click - Add to iTunes DJ or Play next in iTunesDJ.
Select the iTunesDJ window and you can drag songs up or down in any order or delete them from the playlist.

IPod music player crash when playing podcast, exported from GarageBand

Hello!
Before start, I'm using this soft/tools: GarabeBand '11 (6.0.4.) on Mac OS X(10.7.2.), podcast, submited in iTunes, and iOS 5 on my iPod Touch 4. All software is up to date.
So. I have a podcast which Is playing fine everywhere, on Mac, iPod etc. But the latest episode I did yesterday, I made with GarageBand to try "Chapter Marks" feature which I did not used before. Then I export podcast to my Mac and upload to my server to make available in iTunes Store as I usualy do.
Then I downloaded latest episode of my own podcast in iTunes, transfer it to iPod, and found that this episode cannot be played on it! I mean, it transfered well, it shown in episodes list of my podcast, but when I tap to play - music player app just crashing all the times. All previous episodes works fine, so I guess the problem with latest episode is because of GarageBand.
I've tried many different export settings in GarageBand: AAC Encoder with Higher Quality (192 kbps), iTunes Plus (256 kbps) and Custom settings 320 kbps. Also I tried all options in "Quality" dropdown menu in Custom settings: High, Higher and Highest.
But result is still same - this episode, exported from GarageBand, crashing on iPod (although It can be played normaly in iTunes on my Mac).
Would be glad for any suggestion how to solve this. I feel very bad cause subscribers of my podcast downloading "broke" episode :-(

The problem with latest episode, #017.

I examined the episode media file. In QuickTime Player 7 it shows the chapter images, which are 160x160, and plays normally.
However in QuickTime Player X it doesn't show the images, but opens to a very large black player. The info in QT7 looks like this:
You will notice that although at the bottom it says 'Normal Size 160 x 160 pixels', in the top section it refers to a JPEG at 6227 x 6227 which I suppose is an embedded image, though I can see no evidence of one (unless it's plain black): an image this size wouldn't show on an iPod and would very possibly crash it.
I can't explain how this got there - I've never used GarageBand to make a podcast - but you should have an investigation and try to locate and remove it; it's very likely the cause of the problem.

Can not See All of my Music Library on the play list

I accidently moved my music library (My documents/My music/my itunes...)
When I moved it back, iTunes does not see all the song (over 2000). It only see the purchased music. I can use the Add to Library function (In the File menu) and add each song, song by song and I have added a few dozen songs back to the play list. So all the music is there, in the directory, Just can not get iTunes to recogize them.
ANY suggestions to adding the whole library back at once.

Do you at least have the little ! (exclamation point) next to the "missing" songs?
I just had the same thing happen to me, but mine occurred simply by upgrading to the latest version of iTunes... in the process it "lost" about half of my music.
I simply unchecked "Keep iTunes Music folder organized" under prefrences/advanced tab.. hit "OK", then went back in and re-checked it, hit OK and iTunes began "organizing" my library and miraculously iTunes found all of the missing music.
There are some decent articles about moving your iTunes library on the support site. They don't always work as advertised, but you're pretty much stuck with My Documents/My Music/iTunes on Windows.
You may be able to reverse things by following those instructions as well.

When I purchased icloud and it synced up with my playlist it just chose what it wanted and rearranged my entire playlist and left off a lot of my music and rearranged the play list unlike anything I had on my iphone 5 before it upgraded to ios7???

when I upgraded to ios 7.2.0 it would not sync my music playlist correctly.
Advised my Apple to pay for suscription to Imatch/ Icloud it rearranged my play list so they are not even close to what they were
Icloud made the decision on which ones it would upload and completely deleted all it did not like( LOTS and LOTS of my music) any help would be appreciated because Apple just does not want to get involved in their created events whats so ever at all!!!!!! thanking anyone in advance for any help. hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Looking for 'music player' widget to play songs dragged onto iWeb page

Has anyone found a 'music player' widget that can be embedded into an iWeb page, and that can then load and play the songs that have been dragged onto that page?
I have found several such widgets that can scan a URL for mp3 files, and I have successfully embedded each of those widgets into an iWeb page using the HTML Snippet, but none of them could find the mp3 files that I dragged onto the page, even though I supplied the widget with the URL for that page.

I've been playing around with it. I had to reduce the height of the widget to fit on my webpage, but when I did, the text became too small to read, so instead, I went into the skin's jpeg and cut out the midsection of the playlist area. Then I had to readjust the playlist's number of lines displayed and its slider size to fit. I also changed the color scheme to match my webpage, and some of the Help tags. All in all, it looks great, and I am very happy with it.
The one feature I miss from when I was using iWeb's built-in QuickTime player is the ability to have a photo (such as an album cover) displayed with the music. Do you happen to know of any music players that enable you to attach a photo with each track or album?

Since update to iOS7 my iPhone the music player does not play music videos in landscape/fullscreen anymore, how can this be fixed?

The music player only shows all the album covers but doesn't play the video. Only in portait mode it plays the video in a very small window. Makes no sense at all, worked perfectly in iOS6.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
