C6 Incmoing calls and Incoming messages

I have bought a new C6 from India but I am currently based in New Zealand. I noticed an issue around unable to see name of the person for incoming calls and name of the person for incoming messages based on certain combinations of how I store the number.
If I store local new Zealand mobile numbers without '+64' and save it directly as 02XXXXXXXX (typical mobile numbers), I am able to see incoming calls with the name of the person on the display. But for the incoming messages from such contacts are displayed without name of the person.
So i tried to store the contact numbers with '+64' prefix, for example +642XXXXXXXX. In this case now I am able to see now incoming messages being identified with the name of the person. But now incoming calls from such contacts are now displayed without name and are displayed as numbers like 02XXXXXXXX.
I tried to find solutions and similar issues if encountered but these links didn't help.

Would be very glad to get a solution to the mentioned problem.

Event the mentioned link didn't help.
Like first two points are not valid. But for the third point though I have make the changes as advised then I will not be able to identify from whom I have received the messages. If I edit contacts so as to identify messages then also it will not help as I will not be able to identify incoming calls by name.
Please help.

    Why does my 3G iPhone no longer rings nor vibrates when receiving calls and text messages?
    During a two weeks process, little by little I notice my phoe doesn't ring when I get a phone call.  So Far I have missed 22 calls that I am aware of.  Moreover, the phone does not alert me when I get a text message.  Sometimes I receive notice the next day that I received a call or a text message.

    Follow the basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the user guide... reset, restore from backup, restore as new.

  • IPhone 4 iOS 5.0.1 stops receiving calls and text messages

    Hi all,
    My iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1) suddenly stopped receiving calls and text messages. However, I'm still able to send them.
    The workaround for fixing this issue is to make an hard reset to the iPhone.
    This only occured with 5.0.1 version. It's very annoying because I'm not able to know if it's working or not (I can only suppose that it's not working when I'm a long period without receiving calls/messages)
    Do you know how to solve this ?
    Thanks in advance!

    First, who really cares what you do?  I certainly don't, and I doubt the vast majority of users on this forum don't either.  Ridiculous statements like that just make you look stupid.
    Second, this is a user to user technical support forum.  I saw a lot of whine here, not a question.  What is your technical support question?

    You can call you're carrier and have them unlock it.

  • IPhone fails receiving calls and text messages

    Hi everyone, here is my problem.
    I have an iPhone 4 32GB. It was on iOs 5.1 (always worked perfectly) untill few days ago I have upgraded to iOs 7.1.
    The problem after the upgrade is that phone calls or sms messages fails to be received. Strange thing is I can receive at times calls from cellphones, but I don't receive calls from land line numbers. And text messages arrive all at once after hours.
    I have restored the phone in DFU mode twice, set up as new phone , tried a hard reset, network reset... nothing worked. It still fails to receive phone calls and sms messages.
    Before you ask, the "don't disturb" is disabled.
    I live in Italy and have a contract with TIM, i spoke with their cistomer service and according to them there's nothing more i can do on my end.
    Any idea?
    Thanks

  • Why am I not receiving SOME CALLS AND ALL Message and words alerts after downloading ios7 ?

  • HT4528 how do i increase volume for incoming calls and incoming text?. i have it to max

    i have incoming and text messaging to the maximum volume. How can i increase it?

    If while you are in Messages and set the volume, that is all you can get. You can try and see if Volume Limit is checked by going to Settings>Music and see if Volume Limit is off.
    The only other thing I can recommend, is to create your own ringtone/text tone in a music editor and increase the volume in the file. You may also want to check your speaker area and see that it is clean and not blocked by any debris.

  • Mail Composed, and incoming messages displayed Font too small.

    Most emails I receive and my outgoing composed messages use a font size around 12 point. People who receive my emails see a normal size, but while I am composing or reading incoming messages the font displayed is too small and difficult to read.
    When I use other applications where I also use or view a 12 point font, and have the viewing magnification set to 100%, the displayed font is just fine. I think this is due to my screen resolution which is set to 1280x800 on my 13" MacBook.
    When I change my screen resolution to 1024x768, the mail displayed 12 point font becomes readable, and in other applications the 12 point font at 100% magnification is the same as when I was using the 1280x800 screen resolution.
    I have tried entering Command-Plus to magnify the displayed mail message, it actually increases the font size in the message rather than magnifying the message and keeping the font the same.
    Is there another way I can magnify just the displayed message without magnifying the whole desktop/screen?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Jeff Cameron

    Yes, setting the monitor to the default resolution, it does look fine. But for applications like Word, Pages, Preview and many other when you set the display zoom magnification to 100.00 regardless of the screen resolution the text seems normal, but in Mail, there is no screen zoom magnification, and so the higher the screen resolution, the smaller the text in composed and received messages is.

  • Sound Notifications for Missed Calls and Text Messages

    Aside from the very small green light in the upper right corner (Bionic) - is there a way to get audio notifications for missed calls and texts?  I'm missing a lot of calls and texts because I'm not checking the screen constantly.  Thanks!

    I am not sure about the Bionic phone specifically but I am pretty sure there should be notification sounds.
    My phone, the Droid 2 global has ringtons, and notification sounds separately.
    Have you tried looking in the sound settings?

  • Guys please help me..i am having an iphone 4 with ios 5.01  and i am facing some problem with vibration mode of the cell..it  vibrates only sometime during an incoming call or incoming message..how to fix this up

    .....

    Notes:
    1) Please use the code tags when posting code or JNLP/HTML. It helps to retain indentation and avoids asterisks and plus sings being interpreted as formatting marks. To do that, select the code/JNLP etc. and click the CODE button seen on the Plain Text tab of the message posting form.
    2) That launch file is invalid. You might check it (and the project in general) using JaNeLA.
    3) The only place that SimpleSerial class could be, that the JRE would find, is in the root of aeon.jar. Is it actually there?

  • RPC calls and multicast messages in oc4j cluster

    Hi, our application uses RPC calls, which are distributed over multicast messages (jgroups). We use RPC calls to update internal object cache, which exists on each cluster instance. The OC4J instance, which sends the message, successfully receives these and executes the RPC call. The other OC4J instance does not get the message or cannot execute the RPC call. I don't know whether reception of multicast messages is not possible and/or the RPC call is not possible (safety reasons). The same implementation does work with other app. server like Bea Weblogic 8.1.

    Scrap JMS. Use plain java.net or JINI.
    You could create a Peer-to-Peer Chain:
    Server A -> Server B -> Server C -> Server A
    On each Server have a server listening for messages (from the Server to the left in the chain) and a client that sends messages (to the Server to the right in the chain) and an application that links the server and client on each Server.
    So,
    Server A's "server" listens for messages from the "client" on Server C, and so on.
    This is vary efficent. A simple send-receive chain that is clusterd within a small (or large) group of Servers. You could also try Bi-Directional Parallel Communications BDPC. That would basically have Server A send messages to both Servers - one to the left and one to the right, then at the same time, listen for messages from the Server on the left and the Server on the right. This is better suited for large-scale clusters where a Uni-directional communications model would take too long to propogate messages to every member of the group.
    But, that's just me.

  • Error in parameters assignment between rfc call and xi message

    Hi all
    In  a sender rfc scenario, i am exporting a table.
    The table structure is
    field name           type          length
    resourceno         numc          10
    shipmentno  -      numc         10
    startdate             dats
    I have imported the rfc definition in xi design too.
    The data i gave in rfc is 1234567890 , 1234567890 , 11112004 ,
    But in xi, the message i m getting from the rfc adapter is
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <rfc:Z_UPDATE_FMS xmlns:rfc="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">
    - <RESOURCEINFO>
    - <item>
      <RESOURCENO>1234567890</RESOURCENO>
      <SHIPMENTNO>2004111112</SHIPMENTNO>
      <STARTDATE>0000-00-00</STARTDATE>
        </item>
      </RESOURCEINFO>
      </rfc:Z_UPDATE_FMS>
    The third parameter date (of 8 characters) is assigned to shipment field and the first 2 characters of shipmentno field is concatenated with that.
    Any idea what could have gone wrong?

    Aarthi,
    Did you checked the source under Inbound Message--->Payloads?
    How come <SHIPMENTNO>2004111112</SHIPMENTNO>  segment has 2004111112 as per your input it should come as 1111200412 isn't it?
