C6 Wlan wizard lost!

Hi, I've been browsing the forum since last night, but couldn't find anyone with the same problem. The Wlan wizard has disappeared from my phone! Can't find it anywhere. It worked fine for a week and then suddenly disappeared. I'm only using Wlan on my phone, so it's not a priority problem. Thanks for your help!

Wireless LAN connection problem can be cause by a firmware failure and can be easily be fix by restoring, updating the phones firmware again. But after doing any firmware repair and the problem still exists the problem may certainly lies on the hardware components failures.Try updating your phone

After my mobile phone automatically switched off while I was trying to check my SMS because of low battery, I plugged it to charger and switch it on again. Upon turning on however, the Wlan Wizard icon/selection has disappeared from start up screen/desktop. When I try to access Wlan Wizard by going Menu > Ctrl Panel > Connect > WLAN wiz., it gave me Memory Full error instead.
I've tried various method available that I can get from here: Turn off and on (it worked when the same issue happened a long time ago but not this time), deleting licenserserv.log to free up space in phone memory (still no Wlan Wiz and still Memory Full error after restart), going back to factory setting and restart but all to no avail.
Following the advice in the thread I posted before, I installed Nokia Suite and updated my E-72 with the latest software. I even try reinstalling for good measure. Still the same thing: no Wlan Wizard icon on desktop/home screen and Memory Full upon Menu > Ctrl Panel > Connect > WLAN wiz.
What else can I do to solve this issue? The attached picture is my phone info using Nokia Suite. Note the red highlight box. Is it supposed to be so?

You need to try the *#7370# reset. It should not touch anything on the memory card but you can remove it as a precaution. Do 2 backups, one with everything and the oter with only your data. Sometimes when you restore all the settings as well it brings bck the problem.
After the reset, try the phone to make sure everything is working fine before restoring your backup. If the problem comes back after the restore then reset again but this time use restore using the data only backup.

Nokia N95 Wlan Wizard has stopped working

Hi
Ive had my phone since July and my wlan wizard had been working perfectly up till yesterday. I checked the wlan wizard details and it says the signal is strong 100% and my network is named etc, there does not seem to be a problem there. Everytime i try to start web browsing the browser wont load, the screen refreshes but just stays on the Wlan Wizard screen.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this??

Have you configured your access point prior to browsing the internet? The wizard only tells what is the available WLAN access point(SSID), you have to select which one you wanted to use be it secured or open.

WLAN Wizard gives system error on my N95 8GB

Since few days I can't use WLAN Wizard application, It doesn't have the shortcut on the passive display. When
I start the application from Tools or Search it gives the message System error. I have new version of firmware installed - V31.0.015. I have reinstalled the software again. It seems that on English version it works although I didn't check, but when I restore back language my saved.

same problem is here but with the n95 RM-159 after updating to the 31.0.017

N8 - WLAN wizard freeze

Until recently my N8 worked fine, connecting to WLAN or 3G when necessary. But now, probably after updating some of the widgets and installing additional apps from OVI, I often have problems connecting via WLAN to my home network and the WLAN-wizard remains in the connecting state and can't be stopped at all. Once caught in that situation, the phone's reaction is getting slower and finally you can only escape via a forced power off.
I've reset the phone to factory settings with deleting the data, but still could not get it solved. Any ideas? Btw I also receive the "invalid server name" error message once a while.

You cannot retrieve WLAN keys from the phone. You can however reset the router to defaults.
There should be a reset button either on the back or the bottom of the router. Press it in with a paperclip for around ten seconds or until all the lights on the router flash. The router should now be reset to default settings including the default password and user name which will be written on a plate somewhere on the router.

E63 with no WLAN wizard visible

I bought an e63 in China a few months ago. The English language manual I downloaded says there is a WLAN wizard accessible from MENU > Connectivity, but I don't see it there. And I read in some places that Chinese e63's have the wifi functions disabled. But, I can use the wifi conns provided by China Mobile, my provider. So, I am pretty confused. Can anyone sort this out for me? Since I am in the US for a couple of weeks, I'd like some wifi access.

Satellite M70: WLAN connection lost

Hello!
I have Satellite M70 and I use integrated Intel WLAN card 2200bg. I have the latest drivers downloaded from Toshiba web site and Asus WLAN router w520g with latest firmware. Connection signal is excellent but sometimes actually very often connection is lost for 5-10 seconds.... I am downloading files all the time so there is no idle time in network traffic.
How can I inspect what is reason for losting connection?
Could authentication method or channel mode be a reason for problems?

I updated my driver(latest one from intel website) and problem still exists. But now with Intel Wireless utility I can see error messages when connection goes down. I also opened support case to Intel about this problem. Let's see what they suggest.
I have also tested different kind of variations of configurations (power settings etc.) but no helps!
Now I am testing WLAN connection without authentication and it seems to work ok without connection lost. I will test different kind of authentication methods because i really want to see what authentication causes problems.
One thing I can say more. If I want to see connection break as soon as possible, I have to generete traffic with different kind of p2p programs and I also ping my router (default gateway) with command ping -t -l 1500 same time.

E51 Settings Wizard lost its settings after Phone ...

Really stuck now, cant define access points.
After updating my E51 to 200.34.36, I lost my access points.
No problem, let settings wizard redo it.
Problem is, when I try, the options have dissapeared, and will only let me setup my email!
Where can I find a good copy of settings wizard please, that works.

Thats the first place I tried.
Unfortunately, it offers no help at all, recommending I try the Sett Wizard to configure my settings. THATS whats broken
Anyway, I figured a way to do this, had to *#7370# TWICE before the phone actually reset itself correctly, and on bootup, reconfigured the settings tables. Its all ok now

N97 WLan settings and wizard GONE!!

My wlan settings and wlan wizard has disappeared from my phone. Even after re-installing software and putting it back to factory settings, I can no longer use the wlan on my phone ... Not happy, pls help

Yes - this happened to me too. The only way I could resolve it was by doing a HARD reset (power off the phone and then press the
Caps shift
Space bar
Delete button
On button
simultaneously).
This corrected the WLan and opther problems - but if you try this ensure that you have backed up all your stuff (contacts/data etc.) first, just in case. It will not affect stuff on a memory card, but will probably affect items on the phone and mass memory.
After the reset the firmware showed the latest version12.0.026.209.06 on my unbranded N97. What's more I seemed to have doubled the amount of free RAM, even after loading all my programs and data etc.
It's a pain that this had to be done, though. Is it a case of the update not being thoroughly tested for UK versions? We've had to wait long enough for this firmware update!

I have recently bought my E71 in Beijing (because I live here) and I can't access to internet via wifi/wlan! Below tools -> settings -> .... there is no wlan wizzard icon available? Why ???
What can I do or how I can solve this problem?

If you are referring to the software update, you may check the available update by using the Nokia Suite.

Can connect via WLAN but cant view web pages - 55...

I've only ever used my phone to connect to the net via my wifi (wlan). Today though when I click icons on my home page the white web page browser opens for a few seconds (but stays white) and then disappeared. I've been into settings - connectivity - wireless LAN - and get a successfull connection, but then if I go to options and start web browsing it just goes back to the WLAN wizard. I've even restored the factory settings, and even swapped sim cards but the problem is still there - any help would be much appreciated.

Since you were connected before, I suggest you perform a reset: 1) *#7780# 12345 restore factory settings, keep data 2) *#7370# 12345 reformat, lose all data. You can try to clean all private data and bookmarks before the reset.

Switching off wlan scanning permently on a nokia 5...

Can you switch off wlan scanning off permently. i usually disconnect it at the wlan wizard,but after a couple of minutes it has switched its self back on.If this is not possible can you delete your email from the phone as it is driving me crazy getting an alert with every email i recieve,also it seems to drain the battery very quickly

N95 WLAN Connection problems - Orange Livebox (UK)

I am trying to get the N95 to connect to the internet wirelessly through Orange Livebox (UK). I have run the WLAN wizard and the phone has identified it. I have input the WEP key and thats worked fine.......except everytime I try to connect to the net via this method I get a connection error. Has anybody else had WLAN connection problems? Can anybody help?

did you press "1" button at the back of the Livebox before pairing ?
what kind of error message do you get on the N95 ?
does it fail the same way when you go through the homescreen "WiFi scanning / Start Web Browsing" or through Tools / WLAN Wizard ?
