I understand you're receiving different colors and has stripes when you're printing photos. I will do my best to assist you! If you print different document are you receiving the same results? Please print a self test page from your printer: (This information is stated here.)
Press Setup .
Press the down arrow button to highlight Print Report , and then press OK .
Press the down arrow button to highlight Self-Test Report , and then press OK .
The HP All-in-One prints a self-test report.
If you different colors from this page, then please follow this entire HP document on Wrong Colors. Try cleaning the printhead a couple of times until you receive satisfactory quality. I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Use Finder Go > go to folder, and go to /Library/Printers and delete the HP folder(s).
Reset the Printing System:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Now, Add the printer in Print & Scan prefs.

My printer -photosmart plus B210a prints but the photos are very very dark HELP please

I have a Hp photosmart plus B210a just trying to print out some photos and they are very very dark The photos themselves are light and of a high Dpi any suggestions anyone ??? please they are of my son's wedding so are very important to me

What program are you printing from? What operating system? What are the printer settings for paper type and quality?
If you are printing from a program that allows selection of CMYK or RGB printing then select the RGB setting. Even though the inks are CMYK the driver is expecting RGB data.

How do I make the background of a photo one color and the object another color?

I have a photo of a windmill with the sky and clouds as background. I would like like to keep the clouds as is and change the color of the windmill. How can I do this?

You can use the HSL panel to change relationships between tones and colors. For example use Luminance mode to darken a sky by adjusting the blue and aqua channels or use Saturation mode to make an image monochrome except for one dominant color.
If you want to change color completely first use the HSL panel to remove color and then paint with the adjustment brush set to a solid color; although that’s a bit more tricky.

Trouble syncing photos onto iPad and need help

I recently purchased an iPad for a family member for Christmas and it had been working fine until last night. When they attempted to add another photo album to the already existing ones on the iPad, itunes ended the sync, when it says "syncing photos," saying "the required file could not be found" and took of all of the photos that were on the iPad. The photos are stored in the main 'Pictures' gallery in folders where it normally syncs fine; however we do not know how to fix this or get the photos back on. There is plenty of room left on the iPad to store the photos, we have updated the iPad and itunes, and it always works when we sync our iPods.
Any help would be much appreciated; thank-you!

It could be that one of the photos that you are trying to sync is corrupted (or something).
Try dividing the photos in half and try to sync each half to see if that helps to find the problem photo.

I need to know how to change my printer option to print to color. I have changed it to grey and now I need to change back to color. I believe it has to do with color managment and profiles. Help.

Printing black as a 'dropout' color (and not overprinting)

How do I set up a solid drop shadow on type without having the black shadow overprint a color beneath it?
I have it overprinting a red background, and you can see a slight tint of red in the black drop shadow.

Make your own black, additionally, as process color CMYK = 0/0/0/100, this own made black will not overprint by default contrary to the black in Brackets.

the latest software for your phone is v31..... you can check what you have on your phone by plugging *#0000# form your home screen, it will tell you the firmware version and a date. you can update your phone by downloading NSU - nokia software updater program and connect your phone via usb to the computer. back up all your data by using either nokia pc suite or nokia ovi suite before you do a firmware update/reinstall.

Issue 1. The losenge button that controls the formatting bar is no longer present in OS X 10.7. It is not present in any applicatioin or Finder window.
Issue 2. The Schedule function in the print window has also been removed in OS X 10.7.
You may want to give feedback to Apple about these items. You can do so from the feedback page at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html .

Link Colors and Templates, Help!

I am a very basic Dreamweaver user. I create multi-page
webapges using templates with link menu's accross the top of the
page to jump back and forth between the pages.
My question is this, In my template I have set the page
properties to always make links gold. It looks good with the color
scheme of my web page. My problem is On the actual pages, in the
editable regions I want to make the hyperlinks blue as the Gold
doesnt look good with the background in those areas.
Is there a way to have both sets of links have independant
colors?

My photo prints are bad

when i print on 8x10 it orints fine.when i print 4x6 color photo the colors and all mixed up washedout nad bad. what wrong?

I understand when you print 8x10, the photo looks fine however, when you print out a photo on 4x6, the quality is bad and the colors are mixed. I hope to help you! Please let me know some more info.

Printing part color and part black and white

Hello Everyone,
I am wondering if you happen to know how to print part of the page color and part black and white. In other words, what I am looking to do is print a page, and be able to select how much of it is with color ink, and how much of it is just with black ink. Is there a way to do this? Even if its just choosing a half page to be one or the other.
Any info in regards to this would be great.

How can I export to PDF for Offset printing including color and grayscale photo's?

After reading dozens of forum, I still don’t found the answer.
I made a photobook with full-colur and B/W photos for Offset printing. I want the B/W to be in grayscale to avoid color possible color shades. It seems InDesign doesn’t support grayscale, the images become way to dark. Even with exporting without any colour conversion or destination and/or including original colour profiles, the grayscale pictures are being exported to dark to PDF.
How can I export to PDF for Offset printing including color and grayscale photo’s?

Yes, the Photoshop & ID CMYK working spaces are the same
This can get difficult because the 3 programs handle soft proofing differently.
The working spaces don't matter, it's the document profile(s) that manage the preview. So here is the same grayscale image placed in ID on top and PS on the bottom. I've set my Photoshop info to show the doc profile in the lower left corner. I can see my InDesign's Document CMYK profile in my Proof Setup (the Working CMYK is different and isn't being used). Both profiles are effectively the same Coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of PS).
But the previews don't match because I have Overprint turned off, so the InDesign preview is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview.
If I turn on Overprint preview I get a match because I'm soft proofing for print:

In addition to my previous question, I forgot to mention that opening the iPhoto 4 JPEG photos in Photoshop also import as dark and reddish tinted. Help?

This color management thing gets pretty complicated. To get the best results you have to synch monitor calibration with camera and print settings.
There is also the difference between additive (light)and subtractive (pigment- ink) color. The monitor starts with black - 0%, adds red, green and blue to a pixel (picture element) and gets white 100%. A printer starts with white (paper) and when all the colors are added gets black - this is different then using true black ink.
So by their nature the display on the monitor and print are quite different. Typically monitors are set to maximum brightness and contrast. A photo appears light and less than saturated. Printing at BEST PHOTO lays on lots of ink dpi. So the print is going to be saturated and darker than the monitor image - for most users.
Professionals go to great effort to calibrate and control the effect of printing versus display. For us users it takes experimenting and experience to be able to judge the difference between display and output (print).
I have found that using Adobe RGB settings the photo as seen in PhotoShop is very close to the high quality print PhotoShop produces. That is why I do most adjustments in PhotoShop and use iPhoto for cropping and rotating pictures for the web or email.
The key to getting the best print in iPhoto is your printers color management settings.

Printing to Stylus Photo 2200 At High Resolution Causes Color Shift

I recently upgraded to InDesign CS3, and I'm having color issues when printing to my Epson Stylus Photo 2200 using higher resolution settings.
From the Print dialog box I click the Printer button and choose Print Settings from the pull down menu. For Media Type I choose Enhanced Matte Paper and set the Print Quality to Photo - 1440.
When I print the file (a document I've printed successfully many times before) the grey process color in my logo come out burgundy, and the other colors are all off.
If I don't adjust any of the Printer settings, the colors appear fine, but the quality is poor.
How can I fix this issue?

Sorry for being but I was just brought in to solve the same problem as Nobody Special and now searching forums! Both Apple Cinema monitor and Epson 2200 were calibrated with a Greytag MacBeth Eye1Photo.
The problem is a color shift and a greater saturation of color. When the image was printed with the same system using InDesign and Photoshop CS2, it printed accurately. With CS3, the problem noted above developed.
