C7 camera quality dropped .. Help

i bought this nokia c7 n loved its camera .. the pictures video were amazing but then i left it for a few months n now wen im usig it again .. the camera quality has DROPPED drastically .. now it almost seems like a 2 mp cam .. and the pictures are always dull , colours are so dull and it seems like a picture from a 2 mp cam or something // what do i do ??? i updated to belle wenever it came out i dont know if it might be the reason since i read sme posts n ppl say it degraded thr cam .. but im not sure bcs i dont remember since wen exactly my cam's quality degreaded before or after that :/ ...
pls suggest how i can improve the quality to wat it was before

its pictures are somewhat blur too.. as in if i zoom the picture then it becomes blur totally which it shouldnt at least to some extent cz its a 8 mp cam .. but the pictures become blur like they would if it was from a 2 mp cam

You should know by now that there is a huge camera quality drop since the Amber update (which was not repared by the black update).
If you don't know yet, then I suggest that you do some reading through the various forums about Windows Phone and Nokia : I think that you really need an update before to post/answer on this subject !
The photo quality with my friends L920 was superb when it still had Portico.
That is why I bought 2 L925 phones, but I discovered immediately that the photo quality was a lot worse than my friends pictures.
When my friends L920 got he Amber update, his photo quality dropped as well.
What were/and still are the quality drops
- The photos are not sharp enough anymore after the amber update, they are smoothened.
- All photos get a horrible yellowish tint
- Photos taken with flash are completely yellowish
The Nokia phones were known for their camera quality - Amber and Black destroyed this advantage completely.
Restarting the phone, etc etc etc does not help and you should have known it by now.
You guys at Nokia do not read what the customers are complaining about, or you think that we are just whining (rest assured, we are NOT WHINING without reason).
We love Nokia too much to let it get spoiled by developers who do not want to listen to us.

Video quality dropped down! Please help

I bought a tv series some years ago. By setting up my new computers, I transferred the series over and over again (via wifi).
Now the quality dropped down so badly on all devices! Is that possible? If yes, is there a possibility to get a re-download.

Drop in 5800 camera quality

After updating my 5800xm from software version 30, the main camera quality became bad giving white cloudy images. I still did subsequent updates up to version 52.0.007 but there's no improvement. Both soft and hard reset didn't work. What should I do to regain the camera's quality?

I have a problem with the camera quality.The photos I take at dim light are really bad and the.photos are too grainy.Anyone faced this problem too.how can I fix it

In very low light situation camera fails to get a proper white balance, the reduced resolution and small sensor don't help... but it's true ... color is greenish... this could be because there are twice the green photodiodes (or they are bigger) on sensor and the other ones don't get enough light...
The reason for green photodiodes are in greater number is because our eyes sense green light better ...
Anyway ... use the main camera >_> ... secondary camera is just for video calls ... and you don't really care about color correctiness but detail (other person prefer to recognize your face on green than just see a blob of pixels) ... if, for any reason, you used the secondary camera, you can always correct white balance with an image editor...
5800xm on a blender ... will happen sooner than expected.... v51 is a failure as an update .... v52 just postponed its fate....

Camera quality get worst after unlock bootloader

Hi, I unlocked bootloader on my z2, after that I realize the Xreality mode not working, also the camera quality got worst. Is there a way to go back? I tried relocking the bootloader but got no luck. I may not need the xreality, but I really want the camera to be as good as before. Please help, thank you!

I'm afraid it's not possible to go back. When you unlock the bootloader, the DRM keys are permanently deleted. This may affect advanced camera functionality as stated here: http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/

When do we get our camera quality back ?

Do you know why I bought 2 Lumia 925 units ?
It is because I saw the photo quality on my friends Lumia 920 !
Very sharp pictures with true colors - really incredibly good.
My Lumia 925 units did however not offer the same quality.
- My friends 920 did not have AMBER when I saw his pictures
- My 925 came with Amber installed ex-factory
My friends 920 got the AMBER update some time after I purchased my 925 units
- And now he lost his picture quality too - AMBER degraded the picture quality !
Now we both have the BLACK updates installed (on 920 and 925 units)
The picture quality of the 920 prior to AMBER did not come back !
Hence my questions:
- What happened with camera/picture quality in the AMBER update ?
- Can this dreadful degradation of picture quality be undone ? How ? When ? By whom ?
Anyway, I cannot go on with my 925 units this way.
I bought them because of the said Nokia/Camera quality which is absolutely not present.
My guess is that something very wrongly changed in the jpg-processing of AMBER.

Pre-Black the Camera algorithms made for more saturated colours. While you say you perceived those as more real they are in fact not. It's much like a lot of people today when doing a blind test seem to still prefer the sound from vinyl records over CD because it's perceived warmer while it is in fact much more coloured.
The current settings actually produce more natural and real colours. Since the JPGs are generally of fairly good quality you can use tools such as paint.net to adjust them more to your liking.

Hey daninz23, I know that device has a great camera and we want to make sure that you are familiar with all the settings, so you can make the most of the device. You would be able to change the camera resolution by opening the application and pressing the gear icon. That will open the Camera settings and from here you can change many of the camera settings, but for better quality you can change the Picture Size or resolution. "Quicktime Conversion" quality drop

Weird problem. When I "export as QT movie" the video in the Canvas retains it's quality and sharpness. However, when I "export as QT conversion" the quality takes a hit as soon as the export window opens up.
Why should this matter? I need to export my videos as .wmv files (using flip4mac) and the actual conversion looks exactly like the lower quality view I see in the Canvas.
O.K. This USED to work (I have an older file that looks very sharp). I don't believe it's a flip4mac thing, as the quality drop hits at the QT Conversion window and my export plug-in isn't even accessed yet.
To clarify, is there a setting in FCP that I've messed with to cause this?
Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of using Quicktime conversion. Use Quicktime Movie...Current Settings....Don't Recompress All frame. Don't Make Self-Contained. This will make a small reference. Open that in Quicktime and do your compression. Make sure your timeline in FCP is render.

Slow network on a6000 plus and camera quality worst after recent upgrade.

The recent smartphone given by the lenovo is good but the network is too slow as compared to other mobile companies who work in the same network area.
Also the recent upgrade of vibe ui makes the camera quality worst. There seems grains now in the camera.
Please fix these two.

N78 camera quality go bad+no zoom

i get this photo yestarday and i found it restarted automaticaly after 1 hour from working
i download the last version 21.002 the restarting stop but unfortunately the zooming not working

Quality drop of film in idvd disc image or DVD

I’ve made some films in FCE HD exported them to QT and used a idvd (6.0.3) theme to write a dvd, all I I should and have done many many times before.
All the films exported to QT are in good quality when you watch them in QT, even if you play them in IDVD they look perfect, but once the dvd is written, or even written to disc image (so it can’t be a bad dvd) there is a huge quality drop. It does not look like a high quality apple made film anymore, compare it to an old analog filmed thing with huge bad pixels blocky view, like I used a crystallize effect in imovie (but the film has never been in imovie), not smooth at all as it is playing in QT or did in FCE
It even shows bad on my tv, so not only on my 15,4 macbook or 20” cinema display
This is very humiliating when you play it to a crowd of friends
Is this a idvd 6 problem, might switching to DVD studio Pro be a solution?
I have had this problem ever since I used IDVD6, could returning to IDVD5 be a good cure?
This can not be a good direction of working…

A few points:
First of all, how long is your movie? The closer it is to Best Quality's 2 hour limitation the more artifacting may occur. I find that if I keep things under 90 minutes I get much cleaner results. If it is over 90 minutes I split it over two projects (this all assumes you are using Single Layer DVD/burner. DL will, of course, handle longer movies differently)
The suggestion to make sure everything is PAL is totally correct. Make sure all your FCE sequences are PAL as well as iDVD
Just to clarify: From FCE Export as Quictime Movie ... not Quicktime Conversion. You can decide to make it self-contained or not but this will not affect the quality.
Compressing to MPEG2 is certainly an "invasive" process. DVD Studio Pro and Compressor gives you more options, but for most of my movies I use iDVD and get clean results ... except, as I said, if the running time is very long.
The other thing to note here: What is your source material? Are we talking DV original? Or were the original video files another codec, like MPEG4, or MPEG2 from a DVD ... if so, you already went thru re-compression in order to work in FCE ... by the time you make a DVD, yikes. If it is all DV original, you are really only encoding once.
And viewing your work on a TV applies to every step of the process, including in FCE. While working there, use a TV to monitor your work and you will have an accurate idea to what your image quality actually is

when i entered nokia website and compared it with nokia e66
i found that they have the same camera quality
but in fact 5800 camera quality is very very bad in compare to nokia e66 which appearde clear
i updated my software version to v52
i hated this camera
can nokia or anyone solve this problem for me

My music sound quality drops half way through - its a wave file, is there a way to make a the other half as good as the first half?

Firstly can you tell us what sort of drop in quality in you are experiencing? Is this music that you have recorded yourself using Audition or is it imported from somewhere else? Without knowing what has happened to it it is impossible to say if any improvement can be made.
If it is audio that you have recorded and edited in Audition you must have done something to it to make it change half way through. You will probably need to go back a few steps in your editing process to recover the sound.
