C7 issue with front camera

I upgraded my nokia c7 to anna version, and i have been having problem with my front camera for video calling. Each time i try using the front camera, i get this reply ' unexpected error in

Same thing happened with me Nokia care center are **bleep** , they wont listen to your problem .
Even my front camera is broken when they open it n the condition of my phone is like like you bought it now . This happened after upgrading to ANNA !

Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

No "image size" option from pictures taken with front camera?

When e-mailing a picture taken with the rear camera, I am prompted to choose an "image size." However, this option does not come up for any photo taken with the front camera.
Is this a bug or how it is supposed to function, or am I doing something wrong?
"Prompt for email image resize" is enabled in Hub and under Display and Actions for every e-mail account. I have 10.3.1.841 on the Classic.

I understand what you are trying to say, however I'm not sure you understand what others have been trying to tell you.
Yes, the iPhone comes with a camera, and it comes with a standard camera application. This is a resident Apple application. You downloaded a new camera "application", not a new camera. This is a 3rd party application that uses the installed camera to operate. When trying to use Facebook, another 3rd party application, and you want to take a picture, it uses the Apple camera interface, because it cannot interact with another 3rd party application. In other words, as many have said, two third party applications cannot run together, or interact together, i.e. Facebook and your camera application.
Does that make sense now? While you can use the downloaded application to take pictures versus the Apple camera application, you cannot change the API for another application to use another 3rd party application for a task. I hopw this explanation works for you.

2 Issues with Curve -- Camera and Application Connectivity

I'm having 2 issues with my Curve 8300. I tried upgrading the SW to 4.5 but it didn't help. Any ideas?
- The camera is no longer working. When I try taking pictures, it saves a JPG file but the file to the assigned folder but the file is smaller than it should be (usually ~6KB) and it doesn't render as an image.
- I'm trying to use an application (the NYT Crossword Puzzle) but it gives me the error message "Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later.", even though I do have connectivity for e-mail and web browsing. I tried adjusting the application permissions in advanced settings but it didn't help.

As far as the camera I would try the following:
No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON. Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed, Thanks

Built-in iSight cameras
These steps are for iSight cameras that are built into a computer, such as the iMac G5 (iSight) or later, the MacBook, or MacBook Pro.
1. See if the issue is application-specific.
Try another application (iSight works with applications like iChat, PhotoBooth, and iMovie HD 6) to see if the iSight camera exhibits the same behavior in all applications. If it only happens in one application, try reinstalling that application.
2. See if the issue is user-specific.
Test your iSight camera in another user account. If the issue only occurs in one user, the issue would be isolated to user settings.
3. Find out if the computer recognizes the iSight

I have the iPhone 4 AT&t trouble with front cam

I bought my iPhone 4 unlocked AT&T 16gb phone from a friend. Ever since I gotten my phone the front facing cam never worked. If never worked when my friend had it as well. I do have a piece broken off on the top left corner of my phone that was there when I bought it. I didn't think I would use the front cam but I want too. So basically when I switch to the front cam the shutter is closed and it stays stuck like that and on the bottom to switch from cam to video shakes. Does this happen cause the front cam needs to be replaced or does the hardware need to be replaced? Or is it a short to te front cam? I've never opened my phone, don't know how to, don't have the tools and don't know where to begin. Should I bring it to apple and have them check it out or should I pay $50 and just have the cam replaced and my front screen? I am new to iPhone I've had it for 2 months and still learning the terms etc etc. PLEASE HELP I WANT MY FRONT CAM!!!!!

If the "cell repair shop" you bought it from attempted any sort of hardware repair, Apple will no longer provide any support for it and you'll have to have an unauthorized shop attempt further repairs. If the shop didn't open the iPhone, then Apple will replace the iPhone for their standard fee, which while it will be significantly more than $50 would guarantee you a completely working iPhone for at least 90 days (the lenght of warranty on any out-of-warranty replacement). Or you can have some unauthorized shop attempt to repair the camera and hope they don't mess up anything else (something all too common).
It's up to you how you wish to proceed from here.

Firewire issues with DV camera

When connecting a Samsung VP-D305i mini DV camera to the firewire port (4pin to 6pin cable) Mac OS fails to recognise it.
I know this is an issue that has been covered in this forum a few times, but none of the answers seem to work for me. Furthermore rather than get the "unable to list firewire devices" in system profiler, system profiler displays it as unknown device. The following is given as the detail:

Final Cut Pro and iMovie both fail to work with the device, however they do recognise that a camera has been plugged in. My MacBook Pro has the Texas Instruments Firewire chipset, is this not supposed to be the more reliable chipset?
Flushing the SRAM doesn't work, I've formatted reinstalled Mac OS X, didn't work. The DV camera works fine through the same cable on my sister's MacBook. Furthermore, the DV port works 100% fine when booting my MacBook Pro, using Bootcamp, in XP. This port did work, I've used it before with iMovie in November last year. (with Bootcamp and Windows installed). Does anyone else know anything that may help?

Is the sound mixer physically connected to the mac via firewire? Maybe just unplugging it will help; there is only one firewire bus, and sometimes the capturing you are trying to capture from needs to be the only device connected.

Is there an issue with the camera of my iPhone 6 Plus?Pls help!

Recently I've been comparing my 6 plus camera to my 5s camera.It's come to my attention that my 5s camera takes better quality shots than my 6 plus.I may be overreacting because I am an obsessive person and umm I certainly don't have an eye for detail but it looks to me like the pics that I take with my 5s in low light have more detail to them than the ones I take with my 6 plus.I know that both cameras use a different hardware so this may be normal and the 6 plus pics may not even be worse in terms of quality but still...I need other ppl's opinion.If you have an iPhone 6 plus and a 5s as well or if you happen to know about cameras pls give me your opinion.If there's an issue I need to know so i can have my phone replaced at an Apple Store.Thanks in advance!

Logic Pro Issues with iSight Camera

I have been working a problem for two months that I thought was a Firewire problem. It started having the problem after installing my new TC Electronic ProwerCore Firewire. I look at everything including LaCie Hard Drives to my RME Firewire 800 IO. Then I stumble on the problem. It was my isight camera. Just plugged in was causing problems.
Problems apeared as IO comunication errors in many different forms and different errors depending on the plugin have the issue.

We rarely hear about such high-end production equipment here, but Firewire connected and AV devices are always conflict candidates.
Your hardware conflict with iSight make my scanner conflict seem really mundane.

Confusing Colour Issues with 3 camera shoot. Please help

Hey Everybody,
I have had to re-register, so this looks like my first post!
There is a colour issue which is seriously baffling us, we shot a fighting event with a 3 camera shoot. 3 Days, and on all 3 days the cameras seem to have produced different colour outputs dispite being on the same setting. Can anybody shed any light on how to match the colours here. All settings on the cameras were the same, so we are surprised that the footage has come out differently. The following day the footage from all 3 cameras were indentical. However this is the footage produced from the first shoot
We have tried bightness/contrast, levels, fast colour correction, Colour Balance and CB_HLS and still can't get the footage to match.
While it would appear there might be a slight hint of over exposure when we take the brightness right down, there is hardly any highspots.
If there is no solution for us to do, is there anybody who we could send a short clip, have them correct it and we can duplicate to the rest of the shots? If so what kind of expense do you think that would incur?

its important to use the same exact cameras on multi camera shoots. also important to take color meter and see what the lights give you. sodium vapor and tungsten and flourescent all need different " color correction" gels to make them equal 32k or 56k .. and its not just orange and blue correction ...its also green and magenta etc...
professionally , you cant do all that at the " lens " with cc filters..you need to actually get to the lights physically ( with scissor lifts or cranes ( manlifts ) and gel the lights too ).
Once you have your lights corrected and ready to shoot...all cameras need to shoot "color swatches - usually Kodak .. with a single light source that equals what your camera is set to ( color temp )...and that is used to get your balance correct in post.
That said it sounds like you are screwed...
To have someone try to correct that professionally would cost more than you can afford, or you would have used that " money " to correct your color etc in the beginning... in other words, if you could afford to send everything to a pro lab and try color correcting all that stuff, you wouldnt have this problem to begin with IMO.
My suggestion:
Since wrestling is a gritty sport and " manly " and full of emotion that is basically " tough " and " hard " ....trash the color altogether and make everything black and white... maybe increase your contrast a tiny bit ...or maybe add a slight " tone " to it....( not sepia which looks just " old " , but maybe slight blue tint ? ) ...something to make it look as gritty and hard as you can...
Then tell client you did it on purpose ! Is part of your concept to begin with... wow them with your creativity !

Log and Transfer Issue with JVC Camera.

Hello all,
I am using JVC GY-HM100U and Final Cut Studio (FCP7.0.3).
I have installed JVC_Plugin1_0_3.dmg as Apple recommended.
However, when I connect SD card to FCP, I can not still use 'log and transfer' of FCP.
Do you know what's the issue is?

E1000 issues with wvc80N cameras IE freezes trying to view video

I have DSL with a Verizon wireless router set to use as just a modem and a Linksys E1000 N wireless router. I have 3 wvc80n cameras. When I configured the first camera all was well. When I added the next 2 I tried to upgrade the firmware and the troubles began. During the upgrade all of my router settings changed including the ssid. When I tried to configure the cameras none were recognized and I had to manually configure with the help of tech support. When I view the cameras all goes well for about 12 hours. Then when I try to view with IE I can log in to the camera and change settings, but if I try to view the video IE becomes non-responsive. When it does this I am also unable to view the video from my phone using Mobiscope. if I briefly unplug the camera it works for awhile and then the cycle repeats. Since this is a remote location it is a problem to keep rebooting the cameras. I thought it was a camera problem since I have 4 other cameras (different brand) that work fine, but when I took the Linksys cameras to another location and configureed them they have worked fine for a week. At the second location I have cable internet with a Belkin wireless router.

You have already upgraded the firmware on your router. After upgrading the firmware on your router, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure it. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it.
Try changing the wireless settings on the router. Change the wireless channel to 11. Go to Advanced wireless settings and change the Beacon Interval to 75, RTS and fragmentation threshold to 2304. Save the settings. See if that helps you.

Vision Builder AI Vision Assistant issue with smart camera contrast

I am using a NI 1776C smart camera with Vision Builder AI 2011. The contrast is pictures in different from automated mode and running on the PC. After using vision assisant to process an image (erode, color threshold, lookup), when I run this script from the pc I get a totally different contrast then when I save the script to the smart camera and run in auto mode. Not sure why this is happnening.

Did you change any of the camera settings in MAX when testing on the PC? Any change in lighting between the two? Would you post sample images please?

Hi, does anyone have issues with the Camera app uploading photos to the photo album? This happens after I downloaded iOS8.1.2

I have just updated my iPhone iOS to 8.1.2. Since then, the camera is not able to upload photos to the album immediately and some are even lost. Does anyone have the same issue or know how to fix this?

I found it much easier to have my apps on the last page and let the pre-loaded apps stay where they are on the first couple of pages. While I'd prefer to have my apps first, at least they are all together. I found it far too much work to try to move them around another way, plus it shifts some things around in a way that I did not intend.
BTW, I definitely prefer the Fascinate's arrangement of the icons over the Droid X2, which is always in alphabetical order in a vertical non-stop continuum.
