Lost licence for Quickoffice after Anna update, anybody else? v6.04 (460)
Did the Anna 1/2 update as well but when starting quickoffice, error message reads - No application licence, no licence for feature. Purchase licence or continue. Unable to reinstall Quickoffice as well, install fails.
V7 Quickoffice Pro Trial won't install either.

  • My E52 lost Mail For Exchange after software updat...

    After I updated my E52 software the phone seems to have lost it's mail for exchange client. Setting up webbased email accounts like hotmail is no problem (though through Nokia Messaging), but when when I try to setup my work email it just tell me that the unit does not support any more accounts for workrelated e-mails (I don't have any option to choose mail for exchange).
    Before the update I had an option to choose to choose mail for exchange and it would ask me for domain and server and everything and it was no problem.
    As mail for exchange is supposed to be integrated in the E52 as part of nokias new emailing software (as far as I can read), I am not able to download and install the mail for exchange client separately (and I have tried by the way, but it refuses to install).
    Has anybody experienced similar problems after the software update, and/or do you have any solutions?

    The Hungarian support told me, that the new Nokia Messenger supports exchange, but only one email. And most probably the system already stored your email that you used before the upgrade. With the upgrade the datas were deleted, and you cannot recall it, or edit it from the web interface (email.nokia.com) but still the system thinks that you already have one (even if I want to use the same one). Therefore you cannot open a new one. The support promised me to delete it maually with system administrators and then I would be free to use it again.
    Try this with your local support, perhaps that is the truth.

  • Cannot re install adobe reader after Anna update !

    Hi there, i know there has been some chat about losing Quick office and Adobe reader after Anna update on N8s on this site, I also lost office and Adobe after the update ! I needed to get office asap so i went to the quick office website and paid for it, that works fine but it seems adobe will not install even directly from quick office ! The support from QO has been great but i still cant re install adobe !! They have finally suggested that i re install Anna and than try again ! Does anyone have any other ideas !

    I have the same problem but I am not prepared to pay for Quick Office or pdf reader because the full versions came as standard with my N8.
    It appears that the Anna upgrade comes in 3 parts:
    The main Anna file, Additional file 1/2 and finally additional file 2/2.
    I installed the Anna upgrade then 24 hours later I was offered (both via Ovi Suite on my PC) the 2/2 additional file.
    However, Quick Office and pdf reader are apparently included in 1/2, which has not yet been offered to me, presumably because my phone has not recognised that it has not been installed.
    I am on Orange Uk and I wonder if Orange have not yet fully tested the updates and therefore that is why the full suite is not available to me.  I may be wrong of course.
    At one point on one of the other threads, someone had posted a link to the updates required for both 1/2 and 2/2 but these links disappeared from the posting quite quickly.
    Which updates have you loaded?
    I have re-installed Anna 3 times and it has never offered me the 1/2 update that I require.
    I would also appreciate other ideas but they have not been forthcoming yet despite many postings in quite a few threads (other than suggestions to reset the phone etc, that I am not prepared to do)
    History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210, 6310i, 6230i, N82
    Current: Nokia N8 (Anna - I have no intention of going to Belle) - and delighted with it!

    We are aware of the issue and investigation is ongoing.
    We have received lot of feedback, but It seems also that all cases are not similar. That's why I request to contact to Nokia Support. 
    One of the first things we should be looking at with MfE issue is the Admin log files which are located under c:\MailForExchange folder. These logs should help us identify the issues.  Please list the settings along with an attachment of those admin log files. Please send them to Nokia Support (Contact Us from this page).
    In Symbian Anna, when there is a policy which is not supported, Exchange server may not allow the sync based on one of the server settings. For example the roaming policy may be the one causing the failure, Policy SyncWhileRoaming =1 on the admin log. This will be changed on next update.
    However this can happen due to any unsupported policy.
    You can identify the problem on the policy and if necessary, then the administrator can toggle it, or set the tick box Allow non provisionable devices on the Exchange server. Otherwise, the device can’t sync.
    To make sure you can open the admin logs and compare them to this table:

    I'm having a similar issue. It appears to only impact Hotmail accounts. For me though, this happened without updating the OS. The email client is simply failing to connect to the Hotmail interface. Only two possibilities, either Microsoft changed something on the email gateway or Nokia changed something on their end. Either way, it's not working and has been out of commission for the past week. If this is how corporate friends get along, I'd hate to see what happens in a adversarial relationship.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
        1.    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
        2.    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
        3.    Restart your router.
        4.    Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
        5.    Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

  • C7 sync doesn't work after Anna update

    I normally sync the agenda between outlook 2003 and C7 with Ovi-suite.
    After update to symbian Anna it doesn't work.
    Strange is that Ovi suite gives the number of events that did not sync.
    So he can recognize them, but can't sync.
    Any solutions?

    I have the same problem in C6-01 after Anna Update, there are another two posts around here with other people with the same issue, an, believe it or not, no answer from Nokia
    My problem also affects Ovi Maps favourites. I just could update them once since Anna Update, and now that is failed too

    Did you transfer your purchases to computer iTunes?
    If so, you can sync them from there.

    I can't be certain that I lost the PDF reader because of the Anna update, but after the update I noticed that I no longer have the Adobe reader app and if I try to open a PDF file, it says it's an unknown file.
    Can someone help me re-install Adobe reader that came with my phone?

  • Ovi store not working after Anna update on N8

    Hi,
    I have successfully updated my N8 firmware to Anna including all s/w updates (mandatory as well as optional) and all the updates were successful.
    However, now when I try to launch Ovi store, I just see the launch screen and the app closes automatically. I have tried hard reset, manual installation of ovi store but nothing worked for me.
    Did anyone face a similar problem? Any ideas to fix this problem will be highly appreciated.

    NOTE:
    *You will lose all data such as messages, contacts, notes, photos & videos etc., so please make a backup before you do this.
    *All preinstalled applications will be removed, but after the update process you will have Quickoffice, Adobe Reader, Ovi Store, Ovi Maps, Ovi Music, Internet Radio, Shazam, Microsoft Communicator and a few others.
    *You MUST have at least 75% battery.
    >SW Update:
    1. Symbian Anna 1/2
    2. Symbian Anna 2/2
    3. Ovi Store
    4. NFC with free game
    5. Social
    (restart after every install)
    Mine works perfect now, Anna icons and everything (C7-00, 059B7W4).
    NOTE:
    *When restoring data do not restore applications & settings as this may cause the problem to re-occur.

  • Few apps don't work after Anna update

    I got a new N8 recently (my last one was stolen, insurance covered most of it though) but with the same product code and everything. Of corse, it didn't come with Anna pre-installed (it actually came with PR1.0 and I remembered how horrible the phone used to be). However, I updated to Anna with Ovi Suite without problems but I had a few weird experiences with the additional 1/2 and 2/2, for instance, when the phone found these updates it said that they were about 30-40 kB which obviously is wrong, and it took a while to install them. Then later I got them both again but this time they had the right size. 1/2 installed without problems but I had to try with 2/2 several times before it (")worked(").
    Anyways, some apps like fMobi (pay-version) and the swedish app for public transportation don't work anymore. Don't know if they did on my last N8 after update. The additional updates were supposed to fix some non-working apps but it certainly isn't that way with my N8...advice please?

    Just to point out that the fMobi stopped working in my N8 too after the update.
    Uninstalled and reinstalled no end.
    But I found that if you go to the fMobi facebook page, he say's that wiith the new controls put in by facebook, it has somehow messed up the App. Check his page out and see what he says.

  • Messaging transfers lots of data after Anna update...

    I'm having a hard time trying to restrict packet data usage to a minimum after the Anna update (N8).
    I can't prove this relates to the Anna update, but after updating, I noticed the packet data connection going up quite frequently when I am outside of WLAN coverage. Even with Widgets in Offline mode. Connection manager shows that "Messaging" is the application that uses the connection. It can transfer upwards of a megabyte of data, and if I force the connection to close, it will just reopen some seconds later. I have 2 email accounts set up, and they should only retrieve message headers at 4 hour intervals, so I can't see why the Email client would transfer so much data (or so frequently).
    Does anybody know what Messaging is up to? Or can you suggest tools to examine what's going on?

    What a joke, when was Anna Released August? No update has yet to address this. Lets wait till belle in release in 2012 & hope that it doesn't open us to other flaws in the OS. Nokia keeps working backwards, how can such a bug be left in Anna for its life & leave customers without such important functions for could be well over 6 months.
    Remember, Questions and Answers are required by this Nokia support board. It's very strict, don't complain, criticise or express opinions which does not answer question or your post could be deleted. My friendly warning.

    Hello Ajay,
    I installed the .sis.  It install only after I uninstalled the old version.
    Same behaviour though - it opens, and if I add a torrent - it waits for a bit and just closes.
    When I choose 'add torrent' - it only sees the C drive - not the the E drive (mass memory)
    So uninstall reinstall of the zip - opens and closes - fail
    Uninstall reinstall of the .sis - opens and closes - fail.
    Install over itself with .sis - give an error - application will not work with this phone, and install error.
    Before Anna - it worked great on my N8.
    Are there any other Symbian^3 torrent clients?  Is yours working fine after the Anna update?
