Try updating to the latest Ovi Maps 3.06 11wk10 version, it should now be available via SW Update menu, Ovi Suite or from Ovi Store.
For the benefit of Mac users or anyone else, application also available for direct download from here:http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download#/nokia-c7-00...

  • Nokia astound C7 Ovi maps "Check in" not working.....

I'm on t-mobile USA and I have been unable to get ovi-map's check in feature, or set up the social networks in the ovi maps. Every OTHER feature of ovie maps works just fine, the GPS, loading terrain data over the 3G network etc... just whenever I try to "Check in" I get "There are currently network problems, Please Try again Later." as an error message.
I've double checked all of my connection settings, and they seem to be fine, ovi social and other apps like opera can connect to the web just fine.
Is there *actually* network trouble that's been going on since June? or is there something wrong with the software / my configuration.
Also, this is kind of un-related, but Google Maps 4.1.1 (also 4.0.0) crash when it initializes the GPS functionality of the phone.  I'm fiarly certen these are unrelated, but maybe there is a problem with t-mobile's default settings?

does not work on mobile carriers internet or wlan. I have also made sure internet in maps is on. I am running ovi maps v3.06

  • Ovi Map, Check in feature.

I´m just wondering if its my phone, my ovi maps or what.
The apps Check in, in Ovi Maps does only show up ones and a while.
Its so cool apps, that I would love to use it more.
    Regards.

Which version of Ovi Maps are you using and on which phone ? If it's Symbian^3. the new beta Maps at Beta Labs is very good ! May work better for you ?

  • Ovi Maps Check In issues after PR1.1

    Hi!

    Hi there,
I have same problem. Can't tell you when it has started but now (after PR 1.2) I can't check in anymore. It prompts with a system error.

  • OVI Maps - Check In

After getting an Update Maps text the other day I installed the new OVI Maps.
When I try to use the CHECK IN function I keep getting the message "There are currently network problems. Please try again later" after clicking Update my position.
Anyone any idea as to why this is happening?
    I have a Nokia X6 on firmware version 30.0.003
    Thanks

I've got exactly the same problem on my E52.
After installing the latest version of software for my phone - 052.003.283.01 - and the latest Ovi Maps - 3.04 - Ovi Maps don't check in - don't work in online mode. All my settings are ok, other aplications can use internet connections - but Ovi Maps appear to be permanently in offline mode (even that "online" mode is set).
Everytime I try to use internet connection in Ovi Maps, I get the same message - though in Polish
    What is going on?

  • Check in system error

My nokia e6 have software nokia belle 111.140.0058 when I try to open Check in app it stop and write  system error

    Welcome to Nokia discussions board!
In order to fix this issue, I advise you to perform a soft reset on your phone: type *#7780#. Default lock code is 12345. If the issue persists, perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up,  type *#7370# on the keypad.
Alternatively, you may also reinstall your device's software via Nokia Suite (by going to Tools > Updates).
Then see if you can open the Check in app properly.
Let us know how you get on and feel free to post any other questions you may have.

  • Ovi Maps, Check-in feature not working on N8...

Right my problem is, I cannot use check-in feature on my N8,  I keep getting the following error message come up..
[There are currently network problems, please try again later]
Has anyone got a fix for this?
    many thanks

Hi, Are you using the internet to connect with your maps? or are you browsing offline? Im guessing the issue could be with the way the application uses the web. you could try checking in your options menu in the maps application and see what APN is selected. For example if you have your home WI-FI set as default then you will get that kind of message coming up. Check to see if you can connect to the web at all, just through the browser. failing all these check how old your sim card is. i hope some of these suggestions help.
    Cheers

  • Ovi Map licence on N96, error code 3 when i want t...

    Hello,
I tried to buy map licence 9.99 euro for 1 year. but when it's confirming, it showed error code 3. I don't know what's happen. So how can i do? And do you have another way to buy the licence? example via internet, IDEALI live in Netherland)
    Thank you

I have Windows 7 on a Dell.  Open and play iTunes in the compatability mode and use Windows XP (service pack 2).  Disregard any messsages to disable the compability mode.  This has worked for me.  I have also reinstalled iTunes and played with burn speeds etc.  These ideas did not work.  Compatability mode works.

  • Ovi Maps 3.1 Sync Error!!!

I have Nokia N96 and each time I try to sync my places it shuts down. Maps just turn off ://
    Any idea why?

I sent nokia an email and here's the reply i got back.
Thank you for contacting Nokia Care.
With regards to your enquiry, kindly be advised that you can downgrade the do following:
To perform a downgrade on purpose:
    1. Downgrade the Maps application by performing a soft reset (*#7370#) or through the Nokia Software Updater (NSU). This process downgrades the Maps application to 2.0 but still leaves the Maps 3.0 data on the device.
    2. Clear the disk cache manually. To clear the disk cache manually, go to the mass memory directory or memory card and delete the content of the folder massmemory\cities\diskcache. This will clear the map data but will still leave a Maps 3.0 cookie on the device.
    3. To overwrite a Maps 3.0 cookie on the device, start the old Maps client once on mobile device.
This step is very important, as it allows the client to report itself correctly as the Maps 2.0 client.
    4. Restore the Maps 2.0 map data to the device, using the Map Loader or through over-the-air (OTA) download.
     Alternative manual procedure
1, Delete the qf file and the cities folder.
    2. Install Maps 2.0
    3. Start the client
    4. Download the map data
Does this make sense?  I replied back because i wasn't sure about the NSU for starters (it only does firmware upgrades or correct me if i'm wrong) and in other forums, doing a soft reset you lose applications like iplayer.  also the alternative looks suspect because two simple deletes and maps 2.0 is working?
    Any ideas?

I cannot use my check-in function as it keeps saying system error after updating the ovi map.
the version is 3.06 11wk10 b01 with map version 0.2.42.122.
    my n8 is in PR 1.1  013.016

Unfortunally I would recommend a factory reset of the device
You cant uninstall Ovi Maps 3.06, and if you get a system error its usually the software that isnt installed properly somehow.
If you dont already got it, download and install Nokia Ovi Suite from www.nokia.com/ovisuite
Start Ovi Suite and follow the guide to connect your phone.
Do a Backup of your phones content via Tools -> Backup (in Ovi Suite)(Be aware that e-mail accounts and programs might not be in the backup)
    Disconnect phone from computer
On the phone press Call, then typ *#7370#
Phone will restart.(This will remove your personal content from Phone memory and Mass memory)
Set time and Date (and timezone) correctly on the phone.
    Connect phone to Ovi Suite.
In Ovi Suite choose Tools -> Restore.
Restore your backup (I would advice you to not restore 'settings')
Try and download latest Ovi Maps via Ovi Store in phone.

    1. While sending messge across to Legacy system, we can see CHECKED flag in SXMB_MONI but there is System Error in Message Monitoring. When checked legacy system is unable to receive any message. Cannot understand the issue.

  • Error in codepage mapping for source system

    Hi Experts,
I am getting the following error while loading data from ECC only for Account COPA datasource.
Error in codepage mapping for source system. Error text:
    Message no. RSDS_ACCESS013
    Regards,
    Sandeep Sharma

    Hi Sandeep,
This is a issue related to idocsRFC connections from teh sourcesystem....
U can contact ur BASIS team to solve this...
From their end they have to chk the unprocessed/errored idocs in BD87...
They have to run a report:RBDAGAIN to process the errored idoc's in the source which are in STATUS:'02'.
This is a solution for temporarilrly basis...
If this occurs regularly they have to change the settings in SM59 which is so important...
Refer exact note for this: 784381
The SAP note 613389 may also be relevant for the error message "Could not find code page for receiving system", please check the information given in the note and see if you can use it to resolve the problem.

    Marasa.
