  • My photosmart C7250 all-in-one used to allow me to print black and white only, now it won't

My photosmart c7250 all-in-one used to allow me to print in black and white only if I changed properties to print in grayscale, black and white only.  Now it says it won't print until I replace one of the empty color cartridges.  I do no understand why the color cartridges are running out when I only use my black cartridge.

I still don't understand the difference between what I used to be allowed that I'm not allowed now.  I was able to bypass the empty color cartridges by changing my print property to "grayscale" and "black only".  Now I'm not allowed to bypass???

  • C7250 All in one Wireless radio not working

I have a C7250 All in one printer that suddenly the wireless stopped working.  I ran the wireless test and it says the radio is on but the radio fails. The wireless LED is on, any suggestion on what could be the problem?

Shut off the printer.  Hold the # and 6 keys while and a for a few seconds after turning it back on.
If that does not work, it is toast.  You could plug it into your router with an Ethernet cable and it would have the same functionality and still work with wirelessly connected computers.

  • Setup can't detect network printer Photosmart C7250 all in one

I volunteer for our local historical society.  The person who did a lot of the computer maintenance work is not active at this time so I’ve begun to look at things.
There is a Gateway PC running Windows 7 64 bit home premium, a Sony Vio laptop running Vista 32 bit  home premium, an HP Laser printer and (of most importance here) an HP Photosmart C7250 All in one printer.
Internet connectivity is via a dsl line with a combination modem/router.  I think the modem/router is a Westell or an Actiontec through Frontier Communications (formerly Verizon in this area)  but I’m not sure and I’m not at the museum now.
A couple of weeks ago I was able to connect the laptop to the network via wifi.  My next step is to connect the laptop wirelessly to the printer so we can print wirelessly over the network.  The printer was originally set up through a usb connection so I changed it to a wired Ethernet connection.  The PC now successfully prints to the printer over the network.  I downloaded the software and drivers directly to the laptop from the HP site and began the installation.  When it got to the point of finding the network printer the software couldn’t detect it.  I then put in the ip address for the printer (from the network info printed out from the printer) and it still couldn’t find it.
This same situation occurred when I tried to set it up on my personal laptop (Win7 , 64 bit) as well.  Setup couldn’t detect the network printer, even after searching for the network ip address.
Since the printer is connected to the network (router) via an Ethernet cable, I don’t have the wifi radio turned on in the printer.  This shouldn’t make any difference.
I’ve searched the forums and haven’t seen anything that is like my issue.
I don’t what else to do.  Hopefully someone will give me some advice on what to do next.

Download and run this utility: http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-926&h_lang=en&h_client=s-h-e17-1&h_keyword=dg-NDU&ju...
    What does it say?
If the network has Wireless Isolation turned on it will prevent wired devices from seeing wireless devices.  Do you have access to the router?

  • C7250 All in One "Disconnected" error when trying to use Solution Center

This C7250 All in One is connected via USB to our home desktop, and we also connect wirelessly when using laptops. From my laptop when printing from various programs or e-mail the printer works fine. However, when I open Solution Center to attempt scanning or managing documents Solution Center says "Printer Disconnected" and will any functions through this program. Any ideas?

    Hi All,
I got this resolved by myself. I have used a static text in my report with html code. HTML code contains &nbsp for space. And the issue was that I did not terminate &nbsp with a semicolon. That caused the error.
Solution: If you are using html for leaving space between sentences, then always terminate like this -

i keep getting an error number oxc19a0035 on my c7250 all in one printer, does anyone kn ow the fix?

I solved the problem on mine by opening the cartridge door and extracting each color cartridge and wiping the heads which had gummy ink deposits on them.  Once reseated, the machine returned to its old shiny former self.

  • Photosmart C7250 All-in-one

AFTER CLEANING THE PRINTHEADS, AND PRINTING A TEST-PAGE TO EVALUATE THE COLORS AND ALIGNMENTE, ALL COLORS ARE OK BUT THE VERY DARK BLACK BAND (THE TWO GRAY ONES ARE OK).  ANY SUGGESTION OR RECOMMENDATION WILL BE MORE THAN WELCOMED.

    Hello @Joarlujo,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with resolving the black print quality issue that you're experiencing when printing from your Windows 7 computer to your HP Photosmart C7250 All-in-One Printer. Thank you for including the troubleshooting steps you have already attempted prior to reaching out for support. At this time it does sound like you have a defective black ink cartridge, or your HP Photosmart is experiencing a Printhead issue. The Printhead is the part that the cartridges fit into. It controls 'reading' the cartridges and putting ink on the page. If the Printhead is defective than you may experience cartridge detection, or print quality issues. The Printhead is a non-replaceable part within this specific model. Therefore, should the Printhead be defective a whole unit replacement would be needed. In saying that, there are troubleshooting steps that we can attempt to resolve this quality issue. Can I please have you follow the steps below.
Solution one: Use genuine HP cartridges:
HP recommends that you use genuine HP ink cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP ink cartridges or refilled HP ink cartridges. If you do not use genuine HP ink cartridges, the steps provided might not resolve print quality issues.
Solution two: Check the ink levels, and then replace the depleted cartridge:
    1. On the printer control panel, press the Setup button.
    2. Press the Down Arrow button until Tools is selected.
    3. Press OK.
    4. When the Display Ink Gauge option displays, press OK. The ink gauge displays.
    5. Please replace any low or depleted cartridges.
Solution three: Print a self-test report:
Load plain white paper into the input tray.
    Press Setup.
Press the Down Arrow () to highlight Print Report.
    Press OK.
Press the Down Arrow () to highlight Self-Test Report.
    Press OK.
If the test page printed clearly, check the settings and media you are using, and then try to print again.
If the report or printout shows streaks, lines, or missing colors, continue to the next solution.
    Solution four: Clean the printhead:
Load plain white paper in the input tray.
Press Setup, press the Down Arrow (), press Tools, and then press OK.
Press the Down Arrow () to select Clean Printhead, and then press OK. A test page prints.
If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
    Solution five: Align the printer:
Load plain white paper in the input tray.
Press Setup, press the Down Arrow (), press Tools, and then press OK.
Press the Down Arrow () to select Align Printer, and then press OK. A test page prints.
If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.
    Solution six: Calibrate the color:
On the Windows taskbar, click the Start icon (), click All Programs, click HP, click the folder for your HP Photosmart, and then click the icon for your HP printer (). The HP software window opens.
Click Settings, click Print Settings, and then click Printer Toolbox.
On the Device Services tab, click Calibrate Color, and then follow the on-screen instructions. The procedure takes about two minutes and requires two sheets of paper.
    Try to print again.

  • C7250 All In One When scanning; when scan job completed, there is a problem with HP Scanning

Using Windows Vista Home Premium edition.  Using HP C7250 All in One.
When scaning a document when the scan job is completed, a window pops up that there is a problem with HP Scanning and need to close the program.  It occurs on every scan.
When you click the close program button, the HP program indicates completing scan, one page after the other!
Not sure what is going on, I have used the HP scan/print doctor, says everything is OK.
I have checked for HP updates and there are none!  The only thing I have not done is to run the installation disk!
Anyone have any ideas as to the problem and a resolve to fix the problem?  other than buying a new unit!!
    Thanks for your help

    Hi flamechaser,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some issue's when attempting to scan to the computer.
I do have a few suggestions we can try in the attempt to troubleshoot this issue.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
I have also located a document that deals with communication issues between the computer and printer. Please click on the following link for a Windows Error: 'No HP devices have been detected. HP Solution Center will now close.'
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
    Thanks for your time.

  • How to print from iPad on hp photosmart c7250 all in one printer using wi fi?

I want to print  from my iPad mini to a HP photosmartC7250 all in one printer using wi fi, please.

You need a third party printing app or an app that lets your computer act as the print server. Your printer is not an AirPrint printer from what I can see. You can double check here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
Printopia for the Mac or Fingerprint for Windows will let you use the computer as the print server.

  • C7250 All in One Printer keeps jamming papers that are printed from Word

I have already followed all directions shown in the videos in support and this has NOT fixed the problem.
The paper is jamming in the left hand corner when looking inside the printer.  Something is too tight and catching the paper. Any suggestions?
Where can I take the printer to be fixed or do I have to send it to HP? If so, I;'ve been told it could cost me as much as a new printer. This printer is only possibly 2 years old.  Any ideas??

I was having the exact same problem and came across this solution and it work!!!!!
I have seen this suggested in a HP Support Forum. See if it solves your problem:
    1. Go to your printers folder, right-click on (the network connected) printer that you are having the problem with and select "Properties"
    2. When the properties window opens, click on the "Ports" tab.
    3. Near the bottom of the Ports tab window is a check box for "Enable bidirectional support", uncheck it and click "OK"
    Good Luck

  • How can I get the wireless hardware fixed on my HP photosmart C7250 all in one printer?

I did the test by holding down the # 6 and it said that the wireless hardware needed service.  Any advice on where to get it serviced?  Thank you!

    Hi,
Please use the following link (under "Manage Print Apps" to cancel/remove it:

    You may also get this:
    My Print Apps
To view and manage print apps for your printer, use the display on the printer itself. This website cannot manage print apps for your printer. In this case, you have to cancel from your printer.
Please also try this (if the above mothod did not help):

  • HP Solutions Software Installation (HP C7250 All-in-one) after Upgrading from Windows 8.0 to 8.1

Received errors when trying to open HP Solutions following upgrade to Windows 8.1 (64 bit).  Tried re-installing drivers and software.  Software downloads but will not install.  Print and Scan Doctor says software not installed.  Anyone deal with this issue before?

    Welcome to the forums Denwood5
I noticed your posts about the issue you are having when you attempt to install your printer on Windows 8.1. I am going to share some suggestions with you.
    1. Check that Internet Explorer pop-up blockers are turned off before downloading the installer
Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker: How do I turn off Pop-up Blocker?
    Try to install
    2. If you're running McAfee Live Safe or any other firewall, please temporarily disable the "real time scanning".
    How to disable realtime scans
    Try the install
    3. Go to the start screen (you may also press the windows key + R to open the run box) and type %WINDIR% this should show the windows folder.
Click on the folder and scroll until you see files. Look for a filed named "HPWINS*.DAT" (the * is for a number that varies) remove this file and try the installation.
    Try the install
