C8180 won't align with white paper

Hi just bought a used C8180.  The print test shows blank for light cyan and cyan and white stripes forj light magenta and magenta. I replaced all cartriges with new ones. I've run numerouse printhead cleaning and self test reports. Black print is fine.
Photos are horrible.
When trying to align the printer, it gives the error of "use clean white paper". The white paper is 96bright and new.
I've turned the unit off and on, reinserted the cartridges.
What else?
This question was solved.

Hi,
The printer uses a colored light to align the printhead. If the required color (in this case Cyan) is not printing - the printer cannot complete the alignment. If the printer does not know there is a problem, then it thing you are using a paper other than white.
It appears that the printhead of the printer is no longer functioning.

  • Images on sightseeing.html won't align with the column margins.

All six parts of the Bayside Beat tutorial were great!!!  The only problem I had was the images on the sightseeing.html page won't align with the column margins. They won't move all the way to the left or right.  In design view they align with the margins correctly, but in Live view mode or when viewed in a browser there is a space between the margin and the images.  The space is constant and doesn't vary with the width of the browser.
I unzipped the final version of the site to a new folder.   I viewed it in Chrome and in Explorer 11 and the images still won't align with the margins.  I'm using window 8.1 and DW CC6.
It's not a big deal, because I learned many things from the tutoral, but I still would like to know what I'm doing wrong.
    Thanks for any help.
    Design View
    Live View

Glad you enjoyed the tutorial videos.
Just looking at the screenshot of Live view, I would say that the problem is you haven't set the left margin in the floatleft class to zero. The image is wrapped in a <figure> element. Most browsers add a default 40px left margin to <figure>. Setting the margin to zero in a class overrides the default.

  • Objects won't align with origin

I suddenly can't get the corner node of a rectangle to coincide with the upper left corner of the artboard - it offsets by 0.5 px in both directions. Tried quitting and restarting. I wonder if this is being controlled by a preference - I looked through the pref windows and couldn't find anything that fixed the problem. Anyone know what's happening?

It is meant to create sharp edges for straight horizontal or vertical lines. The problem is, that when aligning points to pixels, the points will be set exactly in the middle of two adjoining pixels. But the standard stroke then is aligned on the middle of the path. So a 1-pixel stroke will be blurred. By moving the points by a half pixel, this is corrected automatically. You should find further information in the manual and maybe even a movie.

  • InDesign CS5 - Text won't align with shape

I've created shapes in InDesign CS5 and then added text boxes (separate elements).  When I try to align the text and the shape, the text box acts as if the wrap function is on and the text is not visible.  I've checked and the settings for both the shape and the text box are set to "no wrap."
I've tried searching for a solution online, but the answers I get are mostly related to wrapping text around a shape or other non-related issues.

Yes - I did that first, thinking I was "hiding" the text.  But the text is in front...
The advice by Willi Adelberger helped - putting the text directly into the shape seems to be working, though I noticed that the text is still not quite aligned correctly...

  • Oracle White Paper- Storage Option for RAC. on Linux

    hi..
This in reference with White Paper.. Stotage Option for RAC on LINUX. Author- Umadevi Byrappa.
Which states on page 10: To Use NAS for RAC database file storage select the file system storage option in OUI. or the Clustered file system storage option in DBCA.
With which i disagree. File storage option of oracle 10g RAC only shows.
    1. Clustered File system.
    2. ASM
    3. Raw Devices.
When i try to select Cfs and select the shared directory on NFS it says. < Directory_Name> is not a clustered file system or Shared on Both <Server_1> < Server_2>. and at this point of time i m stuck.
    1. I dont want to use OCFS as its not supporting NAS.
    2. Selecting CFS doesnt recognise mounted shared volume as valid storage device option can only store OCRfile and CSS file.
    3. So, I have to use ASM.. with zero padded files..which i dont want to because no other option. ( PART NO. B10766-02 PAGE C-6)
Also, I would like oracle to provide Back up Recovery Option or Document which tells me how could i Recover Database when i use Zero Padded Files.
What would be the best Option in the above scenario ?
I hope by applying patch or with workaround somehow it shows Filesystem ONLY.I'll be the happiest man in this Case.
Any suggestions and corrections are most welcome. I wish i m wrong.
    Nadeem ( [email protected] )

NFS isn't a clustered file system at all - by RFC it is an exported file system with access controls
If your vendor offers an NFS solution over and beyond that - more power to them. However that isn't "NFS"..
    http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc3010.html
You can use NFS in a clustered server environment (to mount apps, read only data and for synchronous access to files), however it doesn't support the concurrency out of the box for RDBMS transactions - if a vendor is supporting this promise then that is for you to decide.
However i stand by my statement that NFS is a file system exported across your network and not a full clustered file system.

  • Project background doesn't align with stage after rescaling project

    Hello,
I think I discovered a bug that may or may not have been resolved in later versions of Captivate. I'm using Captivate 5 (5.0.3.631) and as much as I'd like to have a newer version, my employer only has this version purchased right now. I'm posting this here because I realize this may not be a bug and there may be a workaround, in which case maybe I can learn something!
The issue appeared when I recently had to rescale my project to make room for a closed captions popup area at the bottom of the stage. (I don't want it to overlap previously positioned content.) Do do this, I rescaled my project to be 25 pixels taller than it was previously, and I selected the resize option to keep the already placed project contents aligned at the top left of the project rather than to scale everything to fit. Just as I hoped, this extended the stage out from the bottom by 25 pixels, much like resizing a canvas property in photoshop.
I then edited my project background images to match the new project stage dimensions in order to cover up the now visible 25-pixel-tall strip of uncovered stage. I imported the new background image onto my master slide in the same way I placed the original one, and this is where the problem appears. The taller image, configured as a "project background", will not align with the stage anymore. Instead, it's hanging off the top of the stage by 13 pixels and not reaching the bottom of the stage by 12 pixels (adding up to the 25 pixels I increased the project height). I purposefully placed the image as a project background rather than just dragging it on the stage of the master slide. My reasons for doing so are somewhat complicated, but mainly are because I need the master slide background to not interfere with the Z-order of items on the regular slides. Apparently a master slide image on the stage of a master slide will cover up items set to display for the rest of the project. Perhaps this is a bug, too?
Anyway, back to the problem at hand... I had everything working fine before I rescaled my project, but now the imported background image won't align with the stage. Because it's set as a project background, there is no way to reposition it on the stage... it just kind of lands where it lands. It appears that when I rescaled the project, Captivate remembered where the center of the "old" sized project was and didn't recalculate the center of the "new" rescaled project. So, when I place a larger image in the master slide (as a project background), it is centering it where the old, smaller project used to be... thus resulting in the larger image to not be centered on the stage.
I figured out a workaround in the mean time by placing the background image on the stage of the master slide (not as aproject background), and by moving more things to the master slide that I don't want to be covered up. This actually seems to be a more elegant solution that what I had previously, but I'd still like to know if what I'm experiencing is a bug or not.

    Ok just found a workaround/solution.
(always happens right after I ask, for some reason).
Rescaled my project but kept the size and positions the "same and centered".
Then I replaced all my background images with bigger versions (previously I had cropped them at the right and bottom).
Now my backgrounds were all great, but all my objects were too low.
All I had to do was ctrl+A to select everything on a slide, and then change the Y value for the whole bunch to zero.
This magically placed all objects in their correct respective spots.
    Hope that helps someone out!

  • I inadvertantly dropped my iphone 3 and now have a white screen with green vertical lines to the right.  It won't sync with itunes due to an error. What can I do?

I inadvertantly dropped my iphone 3 and now have a white screen with green vertical lines to the right of the screen.  It won't sync with itunes due to an error. What can I do?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If it does not resolve the issue, the device is permanently damaged and will require replacement.

  • Black screen with white apple logo won't go away! Help please.

Last night I turned theipod completeley off and restarted it. The black screen with the white apple logo came on and hasn't went of since.
I've tried everything I could find in the forums and on the support page.
iTunes will not recognize my ipod which has continously tried to start up again every 5 minutes.
I don't know what more to do, ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Dana

I did try that. When I do that the red slider bar to turn the ipod off doesn't come up.
Its still trying to reset itself but won't go any farther than the black screen with white apple.
    Thanks

When inserting a .pdf of a document into a Keynote template with a standard white paper color the text and images show up, but the white background is transparent. How do you also make the white paper color show up?

Use the color fill option - select the inserted .pdf and assign a fill color of white to it using the Color Fill Menu on the Toolbar or the Color Picker Palette.
    Good Luck.

Drag the folders to the external drive, and if prompted, click Authenticate. You'll probably be asked for an administrator password.

  • Will Print on White -Error with Colored Paper: too Small

Trying to print gift tags on colored paper with Photosmart 7960.  Print Preview indicates will fit and prints ok on white paper. Using colored paper of same weight and thicker - printer error  "paper too small"
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Hi - You might try setting the Paper Type to Plain Paper rather than Automatic.  Sometimes the color can throw off the paper sensors.  In whatever app you're in, click File, Print and then there should be a Preferences or Options button, click that and you should be able to find the Paper Type option.
    Hope that helps.

  • Developing JSF Portlets with WebLogic Portal (Oracle White paper May 2009)

I have created a simple JSF Portlet following the steps delineated in paragraph 3.1.1 Creating a JSF Enabled WLP Web Project of the white paper mentioned above. I used Workshop for Weblogic 10gR3. When I tried to deploy that very simple portlet and portal I got this error message :
"!MESSAGE Unable to register J2EE shared library C:\bea\wlportal_10.3\samples\lib\j2ee-modules\wlp-sample-lookandfeel-web-lib.war".
Clearly the folder and file "samples\lib\j2ee-modules\wlp-sample-lookandfeel-web-lib.war" are not under my "C:\bea\wlportal_10.3". My question is where do I download it? Where does it come from?
    Thanks in advance.

Maybe you did not include the samples when you installed Oracle WebLogic Portal? Now that this is an Oracle product, samples are not installed or configured by default. This is a change in policy from when WebLogic Portal was a BEA thing, so it takes some getting used to and there are probably plenty of places where documentation and papers could be enhanced to emphasize this.
In addition, it looks like there might be an error in the white paper with respect to configuring your web app to include samples. I don't see any mention of taking an extra step to include the sample facets in your portal app. This oversight may have been caused by the author working with a pre-release of Oracle WebLogic Portal that had not yet been "Oracle-ized" enough to get the default samples out of there. In the old days, I think the samples were automatically included in your portal web app.
To get the samples in a new portal web app while you are creating it with the IDE you can click the "Modify..." button on the first dialog. It is next to the "Configuration" text area. This pops up a dialog that lets you select the "Weblogic Portal Samples" facet for your web app.
To get the samples in an existing portal web app after it has been created, right click the app in the IDE, click "Properties...", click "Project Facets", and select the "Weblogic Portal Samples".
Sorry, I'm not sure what the remedy is for getting samples into an installed product that was not installed with the samples. Unfortunately, I think that is the problem that you need solved. Sorry about that. Hopefully you are working in a test or dev environment that makes it easy to blow away old installations and start over? If not, then maybe install it with samples someplace else and copy the samples/... dir over to your other install?

It should work fine with Version 1.2 and Itunes 7.0 or later.
Check the battery charge--- Make sure it’s OK
No need to keep running the battery down..?
Do a manual Reset on IPOD--by selecting
Menu and Center simultaneously, for about 6 seconds.
You may have to do this several times.
    re-try IPOD
Make sure your Windows software is up-to-date.
Make sure your running the correct software version for your IPOD.
    If this doesn’t’ work---
Do the 5 R’s as instructed in the Apples manual.
