CA-116 and 7020

I have the old CK-7W kit without the charging lead. I see the CA-116 is available, but would it charge my 7020 handset?
Alternatively, is there another lead which would fit both the 7020 & CK-7W?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Hi, Older model CK-7W cannot be "upgraded" to take the CA-116. Only product sold from July 2007 had the necessary software to charge via this cable.
This was a short stepping stone addition to the product before it was discontinued in 2008 and replaced with the CK-100.
Options available would be:
Upgrade to the CK-100
Change the control box of your CK-7W to the newer version.
Have an installer hard wire a charge lead in the car to avoid the use of the cigarette lighter socket.

  • Issues with WLC 7.0.116 and iPhone/iPads iOS devices

We are using a WLC 2106 running 7.0.116 and notice that when iPhones are streaming data (e.g. YouTube) during WPA re-auths we get the following log entry:
Max EAPOL-key M3 retransmissions exceeded for client xxxxx
And the iPhone prompts for the username/password  for EAP-PEAP.
This occurs on two different lab setups, one local auth, one MS IAS. Changing EAPOL timeout settings does not fix the problem.
Note that we rolled back to WLC 6.x software and the problem appears fixed. Is this a known issue in 7.0.116 that others have seen?
    thanks,
    Simon

Its speculation at this point stating its tied to CPU processing. If you obtain a capture of both low CPU and high CPU you could then state its CPU bound.
Specific to the session timeout, Increasing or disabling it makes sense. The only purpose of the session timeout is to regen the MSK keys which then seed the PMK,GMK. Cisco recommends to disable session timeout on voice because of its known problems with voice reliability.
In addition, client idle timeout impacts Apple "i" deivces more than any other divice. Do a lab and capture the traffic coming out of a iPad for exmaple. These devices dont chatter on the network like other devices.
Its not uncommon for iPads to drop off the network with default settngs on the WLC (but this doesnt explain your 7 vs 6 code). In fact we lab this where iPads client records get deleted after 300 seconds (default timer) and have to reauth becuase of this very issue. An adjustment of the timers aided this situation.
Call TAC see what they tell you ... I suspect they will review these same items and the EAP timeout, that you mentioned already.
I just checked and we have 768 ipads on our network at this very moment  including mine.
I just moved my auth time to 5 minutes and I am pulling youtube and watched 3 auths and there is no problems.
You need to do a L2 capture and see what the iPad is doing. If the ipad sends its EAP creds and the WLC doesnt respond then you know its the WLC.

  • Differences between Satellite S500-116 and Satellite S500-11R

    Hello,
I would like to buy some of these notebooks fpr my company but I'm a little confused, because the only difference between these models that I found was that the 116 has a HD-Webcam, which I don't care about but still
But then I wonder why the 11R is more expensive....
Please help me because I would really want to choose Toshiba over Fujitsu Lifebook :)

    Hi lt.hotze,
You can compare the specifications of these notebooks on the Toshiba page:
    Satellite Pro S500-11R:
    http://de.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-Pro-S500-11R/1085174
    Satellite Pro S500-116:
    http://de.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-Pro-S500-116/1081285
It seems that both models are designed for the German market
Anyway, they are equipped with the same CPU, RAM, graphic card, etc. The only difference seems to be the webcam, S500-116 has a HD webcam.

  • Opening spesific incoming and outgoing ports for game hosting for instance?

I have tried this for a little while now and can't really figure it out. Seems like you are required to get ip-adresse aswell, but in fact Battle.net for example doesn't have one. I know that it requires to open ports: 6112-6119, 116 and 118, but no specific ip. Please help figure this out! I got to be able to host a game. The game is Warcraft 3; Frozen Throne. If you know the exact answer please answer me at [email protected] I really need help at this.
    Thanks!

The IP address required would be the one you assign the device that will be hosting Warcraft 3. This device will be on your local area network (LAN). In order for others on the Internet to access it, you will need set up your router for port forwarding/mapping.
Port forwarding/mapping basically takes two steps:
    - Assign a static IP address to a device on your LAN that needs to be accessed from the Internet.
    - Open port(s) in your Internet routers firewall.
What is the make & model of your Internet router? ...is it an AirPort or another vendor's product?

  • HREAP and Remote Office VLAN

We have a corporate office which we have a 5508 WLC and 2 WiSMs (v7.0.116) and WCS (v7.0.172) and rolling out remote offices which will have 2 or 3 APs (1142N).  I setup the first remote office with wireless using HREAP and its working well. Configuring the WLAN for the remote office we select an interface we created with the VLAN at the remote office and now that we are preparing for the next remote office can I use the same VLAN for the second office? For example, we are using local switching for a WLAN using VLAN 6 and will need the same at the second remote office.
    Thanks for any help.
    Jeff

if you are user FlexConnect, and are on 7.2 or better code on the WLC.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/7.2/configuration/guide/cg_flexconnect.html#wp1247954
If you are not using FlexConnect, which you said you weren't, the traffic doesn't get locally switched. it all is handeld at the WLC.

  • WLAN anchoring not working for BYOD and ISE?

Anyone set up 802.1x authenication (Radius/ISE) in lieu with wlan anchoring and got it working?
Looking in the docs doesn't give much clues why this fails, but web-auth and achoring works excellent on another wlan.
We need to move all BYOD devices to the datacenter for termination, so using anchoring would solve all our needs.
And yes, all interfaces and security settings are identical on all wlc's. The s/w is 7.0.116 and all controllers are 5508's
    Isn't 802.1x and anchoring supported?
BTW - looking on the debug outputs it seems that the remote controllers do initiate radius auth instead of the anchor controller.
    Any ideas?
    Sincere Regards
    /Mats

I was hoping that I did't have to open a TAC case regarding this issue.
Since the setup is very simple - a SSID with wpa2/aes and 802.1x and tied to a interface present and active an well as specific radius server for auth on both remote and anchor controller. The tunnel is up between remote and anchor. The anchor also terminates an SSID with web auth that works fine. Why doesn't this work?

Could be that you've deleted one of the stock apps, like twitter, facebook, or one of the AT&T pushed apps. When you do this, the device will think you need a software update.
Another reason could be a radio files update within the OS, in which the overall software version stays the same, but the OS is, in effect, updated. Have you run the update?

  • Help required to implement Cisco 2504 WLC and 1042 Access Points

    Hi,
My name is Vidya Sagar. I am new to Wireless technology. We are planning to implement Wireless in our office. I have given the requirements below. Kindly go through the details and let me know how to start.
We have purchased Cisco 2504 Wireless Controller (One) and Ciscon 1042 Access Points (Five). At present I am going to use 3 access points only.
I have attached a simple diagram of our office network. We have more than 30 VLANs configured in Core Switch, we are planning to give wifi access to only 3 VLANs.
    1. VLAN 121 ( IP Segment - 10.52.121.0 /24)
    2. VLAN 116 ( IP Segment - 10.52.116.0 /24)
    3. VLAN 100 ( IP Segment - 192.168.100.0 /24) (Guest)
Please give me a implementation plan to do this. I would like to use LDAP or ACS for authentication purpose.
    Regards,
    Vidya Sagar

Lets just do this simple first before you start using ACS as that will require a certificate installed on the ACS for using PEAP.
So first off, the WLC we will say is in vlan 10. When you are going through the startup wizard, make sure you define the vlan tag to 10 on the management interface. Make sure your virtual interface is an IP address that is not routed in your network, like an out of band IP.
Make sure the WLC time is correct or use NTP!!!!
Now you should be able to http or https to the WLC. I would upgrade the code to v7.4 and install the FUS image. Please reference this link for the upgrade procedure. You don't have to upgrade now... I would wait till you get everything working first.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn74.html
Now I would connect the APs on the same vlan as the WLC for now. Make sure there is dhcp on that subnet. Once the APs have joined, then you can move them to any subnet you want. Since you don't have many APs it would be okay to leave them in the same vlan as the WLC management or out them on any other vlan you choose. The APs will be connected to an access port NOT a trunk port!!!!
The WLC will need to be connected on a dot1q trunk port only allowing vlans 10,100,116,121. The 2504 running v7.4 will support LAG (etherchannel). Any ways, your switch port should look like this for example only
    Interface gigabit1/0/1
    description WLC2504
    switch port trunk encapsulation dot1q
    switchoort mode trunk
    switch trunk allowed vlans 10,100,116,121
    spanning-tree portfast trunk
channel-mode group 10 mode on << only for v7.4 if you use lag
Don't connect all four ports right now, just port one!!!!
Your Guest vlan, you will need to create an ACL to block traffic from accessing the internal network. You might want to allow dhcp and DNS bit I would leave it open first until you can verify everything is working.
Now on the WLC you need to create a dynamic interface for vlan 100, 116, and 121. If you click on the Controller tab in the GUI and click on interfaces on the left hand side, that will take you to where you can add/delete/modify your interfaces. When creating these interfaces, make sure you add the dhcp server IP address for the primary and or backup.
Now that you have your dynamic interfaces created, its time I create your SSID. Now click on the WLAN tab on the GUI and click on WLAN and then on the too right select Create New and then click go. Select WLAN on the drop down menu and then for the profile name I would use the SSID name also for simplicity.lean e the WLAN id to 1 for this and 2 for the next and so on. After defining these and clicking Apply you can now define your SSID. On the General tab, enable the status and leave the radio policy to all for now, you can decide later what you want to use. Choose your interface you wan to place this SSID on and enable Broadcast SSID for now and leave everything else alone. Now click on the Security tab and on the layer 2 Security, leave it at WPA + WPA2, only check WPA2 Policy and for WPA2 encryption choose AES only. Now go to the bottom of that screen and choose PSk. We will do pre shared key for now so you get to understand the setup and make sure everything is working first. Now on the PSK format, choose ASCII and put your pre shared key in the input box. Make this simple to for testing. You don't want to put in symbols or anything like that. When you are don with that, check apply on the top right and test.
Now you can repeat this with your other SSIDs just to test. Your guest network you can leave open for now to test open authentication.
Here are some links for the WebAuth feature:

    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6366/products_tech_note09186a0080b1a506.shtml
Now if you want to use ACS with PEAP, here is some links for that:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/videos/2499

Well that is it, hopefully you can get the wireless up for testing and verifying everything works!

    Hey BBDunn,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
Just to clarify the update you did was for 10.0.10.116 and not 10.0.0.116? When taking a picture on the BlackBerry Z10 if you hold the smartphone it will automatically focus.
Did you do the update through BlackBerry Link or over-the-air wirelessly?
I would highly suggest you create a backup of your data through BlackBerry Link (Device>Backup), then perform a security wipe by going to Settings>Security>Security Wipe.
Then test the camera out prior to restoring any data.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Kind of query on an array

    Hi,
I have an array like this :
    DATA | YEAR | SCENARIO | JAN | FEB | MAR | ....
    data1 2008 1 120 101 109
    data2 2008 2 120 105 104
    data3 2007 1 100 108 111
    data4 2008 1 124 101 116
and I want to search something like we do with a query but on
    an array
    SELECT JAN
    FROM myArray
    WHERE
    YEAR = 2008
    AND SCENARIO = 1
    AND DATA= data3
is it possible ? and how to do it ?
    Thanks !

    Here's a simple schema :
    1. query from flex to coldfusion
    2. cf return array to flex
    3. from flex I send the array to cf in order to make some
calcuations (that's where I need to "query" the array)
    4. new array returned by cf to flex
the idea is that I make a query on the server A (sql server)
that returns all the infos I need
then I send those infos to the server B (coldfusion) to avoid
    using server A ...
do you know what I mean ?

  • Error -1950678991 saving LV8.2 library of shared variables

I used to be able to programmatically save my library of shared variables using "ProcessToLib.vi" (set to Process mode) after changing properties of some or all variables.  Now, and I don't know what has changed, I get this error:
    Error -1950678991 occurred at property node (arg 1) in NI_Variable.lvlib: SetRawCluster.vi -> PRC_SVsToLib.vi -> PRC_DumpProcess.vi -> ProcessToLib.vi.
The explanation suggests that an Engineering Full Scale is the same as an Engineering Zero Scale value, but I have checked all variables that use scaling (not all do) and I can't find any such fault.  Since these low-level VIs have protected diagrams, I can't trace the source of the error.  I have tried the same thing on other libraries and they work fine.
I have attached my library for anyone to verify or duplicate the problem and maybe find out what is causing this error.
I have recently installed the DSC patch, but this should not be related to the problem.
    Thanks,

    Hi Mike,
I think something has become corrupted in your library. When getting the names of all the shared programatically I get multiple entries for a couple of the X-GPS variables. I deleted all the X-GPS variables and WS-116 and it saves fine. I think you might need to delete and recreate these variables.

  • Lion Server VPN, Can Connect Locally, Not Remotely

I have both Lion and Lion Server installed on my Core 2 Duo iMac, mainly because I want the VPN feature of Server.
I configured everything correctly for the VPN, and can connect to it with no problems from my iPhone and iPad when I am within my own LAN (the server and the iPhone/iPad are on the same IP range and subnet).
I also used the automatic config within the Server app to configure my AirPort Extreme N Base Station.   Looking at the Port Mapping section of my ABS from within AirPort Utility, I do in fact see that VPN Service (L2TP) is configured with the following UDP ports: 500, 1701 and 4500.  Those ports ARE pointing to the iMac that is running the VPN server.  Firewall on that iMac is turned OFF.
However, I am unable to connect my iPhone to the VPN Server using my Public IP address.  I have tried it from within my network (out of network to internet the back), from my Verizon MiFi or from my iPhone's 3G connection (well, in my area it is still Edge).  The iPhone simply sits on "Connecting" for a few seconds, then an alert comes up stating "The L2TP-VPN server did not respond.  Try reconnecting. If the problem..." yadada.
I AM, however, able to get Web Sharing to work via my Public IP address, as well as VNC.
I also cannot connect to the VPN via the Public IP with other devices like my iBook, PowerBook G4, Windows 7 PC, or iMac G5.  They ALL CAN connect via the local network 10.1.x.x IP address.
Am I missing something here?  I did all of the automatic configurations, and all of the ports appear to be properly open.

Not in my case, Per, no.
I just did a tcpdump between various systems.
For those that do NOT work (client iPhone, client 10.7 and server 10.7) the tcpdumps look like so:

Note: I've done this over wired and wireless as well as 3G -- the transport on the client end is NOT the issue.
A connection that works, from iPhone ONLY (on 3G or Wireless) is:

And from there it's all normal.
    What never works:
    10.7 client to 10.7 server
    iPhone to 10.7 server
The breakage seems to happen on 10.7 server here:
    19:12:35.019173 IP Home.60846 > LionServer.4500: UDP-encap: ESP(spi=0x041b007d,seq=0x1), length 132
    19:12:35.052641 IP LionServer.500 > Home.500: isakmp: phase 1 I ident
After that first ESP packet, the Lion Server responds with another phase 1 ident.
    The Leopard server does not.
It may still be something in my setup, but, there's nothing to configure on 10.7 server other than "on" and "off" and some IP addresses, which I'm nearly certain isn't the issue...but who knows.   Either the Lion Server ignores whatever is in that ESP packet, and starts over, or, iOS and OS X are sending it something it doesn't like and is forcing it to reset and start over.
