Cable autodetection failed. WARNING:iMPACT:923

I am trying to program E2LP development board with Spartan 6, but it seems iMPACT has some issues with connecting. I have drivers from  E2LP Installer, and E2LP Config Utility is able to establish connection with the board. Still iMPACT does not see the cable.
This is my autoconnect log:

My colleague who uses same development board with same software claims, that he has no issues with programming, and there was no need to use iMPACT. He has Win 8 while I have Win 7.
Config utility still says that it failed to execute iMPACT script. I run it as admin of course.

  • DMP 4310 display autodetection failed

    Dear All,
We currently test DMP 4310G to display digital signage to displays, but somehow HDMI autodetection failed on most of the displays.
We have LCD NEC, Samsung, EX90, and CTS500 as display.
When we connect DMP4310 via HDMI to NEC, Samsung and CTS500, they just blank (even the boot page where IP address is usually shown).
DMPDM shows that the autodetection is failed.
But when we connect DMP4310 to EX90, it can display content perfectly.
I tried to disable autodetection and enter resolution manually ( i checked the datasheet for native resolution of each display ) but still no results.
I also find this document on Cisco:
DMP 4310G Notice Regarding HDMI/DVI Effects on Autodetection
A corner case exists that is mildly disruptive. It is not likely to affect your organization. To understand
this corner case, assume that all of the following statements are true simultaneously.
    • Your DMP model is 4310G.
    • Your presentation system’s media signal interface is DVI, not HDMI.
    • EDID data in the firmware for your presentation system misrepresents its native resolution.
    • The falsely claimed resolution is an HDMIstandard instead ofa VESA standard.
In this case, your DMP 4310G proceeds as if the native resolution is low, to ensure that your digital sign
    shows anything at all.
    Any comments are really appreciated
    Best Regard
    Imad

We've run into troubles with faulty RS232 cables. Many of our DMPs were wired, but they just weren't receiving commands.
You might want to try the NEC PDComms tool, which you can download from here:
    http://www.necdisplay.com/support-and-services/pdcommstool/Overview
With it, you can send RS232 commands from your computer, and view any response from your device. Then you can trouble shoot, at least ruling out the possibility of a faulty peripheral.
We didn't have any trouble with the 4310 5.4 when we isolated our trouble down to bad cables.
    Good luck!

  • Networking: "Connection Failed" Warning

    Hello!
I have a G5 tower that I use as a main system in my imaging business. The router is connected to it. I have five other Macs in my office, all wireless. There are no issues with any of the wireless devices reaching the internet, or being recognized by the network and communicating. The problem is with the main computer, as I cannot connect to ANY of the wireless units. They show up in the side panel, but as soon as I click one I get the "Connection Failed" warning. This problem is killing me, because I need to set up network rendering for computer graphics.
I hope all you brilliant minds out there can find a solution!
    Thank you,
    Hal

I'm having the same problem with my Windows 7 computer. It makes my MacBook unusable if the other computer is turned on. Technical support did not solve the problem

Are you getting any errors when you run the "debug cable mac log ". Under normal conditions ,when you run the "debug cable mac log" command and you see nothing, it means that the modem has completed the process of coming online. If you run the "show controller cable 0 mac state" command, you should see the MAC state set to "maintenance_state", which is code in the DOCSIS world for "online". Check if you are getting any errors and if yes what is the error message that you find...

Hi, after installing Adobe CC I tried opening Adobe Photoshop. This failed.
I get the opening window where it says installing plugins searching etc, after which PS opens in full screen.
Just moments after that there's a failure warning, no code number, only the warning that PS failed to open and PS will close.
I tried downloading it for a second time, but this did'nt solve the problem.
Befor the CC version I used a one year student version of Adobe CS6.
    What can I do?

Regarding the Flash Player problem, disable Hardware Acceleration to circumvent driver incompatibilities.
Regarding the Flash Pro installation problems, post in the Flash forums or http://forums.adobe.com/community/download_install_setup

  • Windows 8.1 Pro WMC, Radeon R290X and ASUS VG248qe, cable advisor fails

I ran cable adviser and for my graphics section it fails. The result is:
    Memory:     Pass

Graphics:    Fail  Your graphics card or driver doesn't support content protection
It used to work under windows 7 but what I changed since then is the monitor to the ASUS VG248QE which supports HDCP, the videocard from GTX 780ti to Dual R290X and the OS to windows 8.1 Pro. I have the latest driver (catalyst 14.4) installed. I
don't get why it would say Graphics Fail. My monitor is connected via DVI-D. Any ideas to help solve this?

Before i started to bug TAC, I figured I'd post this here.
    Let me know your thoughts

Looks like your package repository has been corrupted.  TAC can provide a procedure  to recover from this corruption.  The following DOC indicates  why this can happen and has suggestions on how to avoid these problems  from re-occuring.

  • Ipod cable connection failed; also think Ipod file may be corrupted.

I was able to purchase and download a song from ITunes today.
It got to the hard drive, and then I was able to transfer it to the Ipod.
But when I tried to play it, the screen froze.
When I turned the computer off and turned it back on, I got an error message, something liked "dirty pool" and it said that Windows was being shut down.
I turned the computer on again and couldn't get Windows to boot until I removed the USB cable.
Since then, I cannot get the IPod to work.
The computer is not showing that the Ipod is connected to it.
When I run diagnostics, I get a "failed" message (a red dot) next to "Ipod connection cable".
I have plugged the USB into at least three USB ports and get the same error message.
I have tried pushing various combinations on the Ipod to get it to turn off, as well as toggling the Hold button. It will not turn off.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled ITunes twice.
Because the computer doesn't "read" the Ipod, I cannot reset it or resync it. The Ipod is not listed under "devices" in ITunes.
When I downloaded the song, there was a CD game in the CD player. It was automatically ejected at some point, I think it was after I tried to get the Ipod to work. I fear that may have corrupted the Ipod or something in the computer.
Do I have any options, other than taking the Ipod in to be fixed? I just bought this on Saturday.

Scratch that. I was able to fix it with the help of a good friend.

  • Trying to transfer file via Ethernet Cable - but failing. Why?

    Hi,
    Many thanks for your attention.
I am trying to transfer a small file from a MacBook Pro to a Mac.
    What step am I missing?
    1. Both Macs on. On both Macs, Airport is turned off.
    2. A Crossover Ethernet Cable plugged into both Macs.
    3. Under System Preferences/ File Sharing is turned On in both computers.
    4. Don't know if this is necessary - but under System Preferences/ Security - Allow all Incoming Connections is checked.
    5. On the computer that I want to receive the file:
Under Finder/ Go/ I select Connect To Server
    6. Then I click the Browse option.
    7. The 1st Computer's icon appears in a window.
    8. I click on the icon.
    9. For a few moments, it says - "Connecting - "
    10. But then after a few moments - Connection always Fails.
Followed these steps via other Posts, but they must have neglected to mention a step I am missing.

Second, seeing "connecting" and connection failed is normal. You must click on "Connect As" in the Finder window and then enter the username and password for the admin account on the other computer. That should fix things.
    Thanks for responding.
When does clicking on "Connect As" happen in the process above?
    After step six? Seven?
    After the connection has failed?
Is this the FInder window that shows the icon of the computer you want to copy the file from?
You should see "Connect As" in the Finder near the top right of the window as shown below:

  • Office 2010 fail - WARNING: Install failed, error = 0x80070663

    Hello,
I can't seem to get SP2 for Office 2010 pushed out to a selection of Win 7 PCs, they get this error code:
WARNING: Install failed, error = 0x80070663
    Has anyone seen this before?
    Thanks

Can verbose logging get turned on?  We are just using the c:\windows\windowsupdate.log file.
We are just testing against a group of Windows 7 PCs that are a common build within our company.  It seems most need around 1.5GBs of updates!
We approved all over the required updates (yeah I know, we don't have time to check/test all) and most of the PCs needed several reboots and most
said failed and had to roll back, but it seems it did do most updates of many days.   I'm not sure why they were failing, is it because they are so out of date and some of the approved updates are pre-requisites?
We are new to WSUS, I think I ready another post uses a readiness tool, would that help?
    Thanks

  • Unknown model number - website autodetect fails

I have a brand new X200 with the model number 7455-3GG, but i can't find it on the support & drivers page either using autodetect nor by manually selecting - it's simple not on the list.
I suspect it gives me truobles using systemupdate.
How hould I proceed - take a wild guess and update my modelnumber using the flash utility
    or
contact Lenovo to have the model put onto the list
    Thanks,
    Kaare

Hi krubak welcome to the user community.
I think that's a Northern European model, and you are right, it is not yet listed on the support page.
I suggest you select Type: 7455 and Model: All models.
The only thing you will be missing is a short description of your exact configuration, but you know that anyway!
The support pages, such as the drivers and software page are the same for all X200's.
You could drop Lenovo a line alerting them that the 3GG model is missing. I'm sure it will be added soon.
Question for you: Are you saying Lenovo System Update fails, and you suspect it is related to the 3GG model not being on the support page?
If Lenovo System Update fails, give us some more info about the failure mode.
    I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

  • Cable driver fail N95 after upgrade

    Hello!
After I upgraded the software I cannot longer connect my phone through cable.
In Device Manager the phone appears as "Wireless communication devices", and the phone as a computer icon with an exclamation mark in it. Removing and reinstalling it gives "Nokia N95 USB Phone Parent" and then "This hardware cannot be installed - An error occurred when installing the driver" (or somnething like that) - "A serious error occurred during installation".
    Please advice?

Uninstall all nokia's software from pc, then reinstall again. Try to download nokia's connectivity cable driver from nokia's website.

  • Airport Extreme won't connect with my cable modem (Time Warner)

OK, I'm tired of staring at a blinking amber light. I'm reaching out to anyone out there who's had this problem. I've got everything connected right, the software loaded, the connections set on my laptop (Macbok Pro). But still my Airport Extreme won't connect to the Internet. I've tried different cables, rebooting both my modem and my Airport. For the record, I've had a Mac IT guy from my advertising agency come by my house and make sure that everything's installed and hooked up right. But it still keeps saying that my IP address is invalid, even though I can connect (wired) using the modem.
I suspect I'll just have to take it to the Genius Bar or something. But anybody got any ideas? I really want to join the 'n' generation....

atotheb, Welcome to the discussion area!
Did you power off the cable modem when switching the Ethernet connection from laptop to AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS)? This is usually required.

  • Can't print InDesign Booklet - "fierycup filter failed" warning

THE CULPRITS: OSX 10.6.6, Xerox 7700 WorkCentre and InDesign CS4
THE PROBLEM: Last week I was able to print a booklet duplexed fine. I have not done ANY updates since then but it won't print now. I get this message: "Error: /Library/Printers/Xerox/Filters/fierycupsfilter failed"
    I'VE TRIED:
copy and pasting into a new doc
    resaving and renaming doc
    removing all the images
    packaging and renaming
    installing new driver
deleting and re-adding printer from printer list
    printing from Adobe Acrobat
    restarting InDesign
    swearing alot
None of this has worked. Help?

Great news! I have been suffering through this same issue. I had a document that printed Friday...but the same document got the error mentioned above "Library/Printers/Xerox/Filters/fierycupsfilter failed". I was able to print other documents, but not this one. I went into the font menu to see what I had used and substittuted to fonts that were not being used. The document worked!
I hope this helps....because a font can ruin the RIP of a job....(wow...like the chinese characters).
