Cable box not working cannot get help from comcast

Just upgraded to the X1 package and have a cable box for livingroom and bedroom, only livingroom box works, bedroom is not working and have called comcast support 10 times.  Only reach someone 4 time and was drop from the call 6 times.  I have been trying to get this to work now for 8 days.  Will be cancelling the service this week.   Comcast if you are monitoring this blog, if my issue is not resolve by Thursday, I will be cancelling my service with you and moving on to APPLE TV, which I should have done in the first place.

    Declined that option, and advised I wanted to just cancel my entire contract, phone, Broadband, TV, as this was ridiculous.
    Put through to the cancellation team, but put on hold, for another 15 minutes.
    Decided to post on here...cant get the channel I ordered, cannot even cancel my service....
    Will put my request in wiriting, hopefully that cant go wrong, on the other hand, better send it recorded.

    Cable boxes not rebooting.  They appear to be without power. This happened right after a thunderstorm.

    @jny52 - I see some troubleshooting has been attempted already and a tech visit is scheduled for tomorrow. For the issues you described, that would be the recommended fix.
    @SWDescent - I did a reset and sent new signals to your box. If that does not help, then it is recommended to have a tech visit for you as well. 

  • IOS 4.3.3 Cannot Get Mail from Comcast Exchange Server

    I upgraded both my ipad and iphone to 4.3.3 yesterday and now I cannot access email from the Comcast Business Exchange server.   I have not changed any of the parameters on the ipad or iphone.  When I try to access the Comcast Server at mail.hmc1.comcast.net I get the message Cannot Get Mail on both my ipad and my iphone.  Everything worked great before the 4.3.3. upgrade.   All of my gmail accounts and my pop3 email account still work on the ipad and iphone.   Please help

    Have you tried removing the accounts and re-adding them? That generally seems to work in an "if all else fails" situation but I've noticed that sometimes, troubleshooting can be too stressful, and it is more worth it to spend 2 minutes re-creating the account and another 10 minutes to let everything sync up.

    I have made a great mistake of moving my Internet provider form Virgin to BT. Since having my new hub I have not had a good connection. This first stated on 17th June when my service should have started and is still ongoing. The BT people you speed to about broadband issues seem very nice but do not understand my problems. I now have a connection that drops out all the time and is so slow most website time out before being loaded. I have been on the phone so many times but seem to go around in circles and seem to get a bog standard reply that my modem is not balanced wait a couple of days and it will improve. Has any one a phone number of a manager who could help me solve my problems?

    this is a customer help customer forum and  to enable the members to try and help with your problem please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems) http://speedtester.bt.com and post the results .
    are you connected directly to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Do you have any phone extension sockets in your home?
    Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
    Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

    You can go to the Apple online store and purcahse a copy of Mountain Lion.  This will give you a redemption code, which you can use to download Mountain Lion from the App Store.  Unfortuantely, I'm not aware of any other way to legally purchase it.  I have never seen Apple release Muontain Lion on DVD.
    In terms of Apple Service, they just need the serial number of the machine to check the purcahse date.  It is usually correct, to within a few weeks.  A quick Google search should give you the correct number to dial.

    I would delete the account and try to re-enter it. Also, you have to let your firm's IT department know that you want to sync work email on your personal devices before they actually work.

    Sometimes you have to reset the SMC two or three times for it to work, don't know why. I've seen that error message before and 100% of the time it was fixed with an SMC reset. I suppose it's possible that your keyboard or mouse IS drawing too much power, do you have access to another you could try?

    It would be helpful to know what version of Acrobat, WORD, and operating system.
    Without that info, I would suggest at this point to open your WORD file and then go to the print menu and print to file using the Adobe PDF printer. Open the created file in Distiller and see if you get a PDF. If so, check to see if AcroTray is running in the background.
    You say you tried many ways. It would help to know what you tried and what worked or did not work, and at what point the failure occurs.

    To resolve this, you need to reconfigure the "Oracle Application Testing Suite Helper Service" (OATSHelperSvr) to start as a user who has privledges to run open script tests rather than the default SYSTEM user.
    Reconfiguring the OATSHelperSvr Service:
    1. Open the services panel (Start > Run > services.msc)
    2. Find the Oracle Application Testing Suite Helper Service
    3. Right Click > Properties then select the Log On Tab
    4. Specify an interactive user that has rights to run OpenScript (test by logging in as that user and running tests):
    5. Click OK
    6. Restart the service after dialogs are closed by Right Click > Restart
    7. You should now repeat this process for the "Oracle Application Testing Suite Agent Service" (eLoadAgentMon) Service (Two services in
    total)
    You should now retry running the test in Oracle Test Manager

    that one is typically caused by a problem with your QuickTime. (itunes uses QuickTime for audio and video playback.)

    First man up and admit, that itunes does not suggest, but tells you that update is available and you made a
    decision to download and update. Once you man up - think if you still under warranty. If that is not security
    software according to the link provided, it is hardware. So second try another network, may be your network
    has additional security or firewall. And third decide if it worth to you pay 149 for that phone or get it replaced.
    Unless your 3gs under warranty.

  • Help, I have my registration and login pages built but cannot get a + from Server Behaviors to connect to the  phpmyAdmin databae using WAMP. Instructions are unclear.

    I purchased my subscription for DW CC on the encouragement of the online salesperson because he assured me there would be support when it came to creating  login process with authentication. I don't know code so build all of my pages in Design view. Not even sure that the form is correct because the terminology and references in the help directions don't match what I see in the program.
    I have tried to go online and get help from YouTube but they skip too many steps for a novice to get anywhere in this case to make the connections between the database and the localhost. I was pulling weird errors but now have green checks for local host yet don't know how to verify or test the page to see if it is working.
    Can anyone send me something that would be step by step detail? I need a true instructor not someone who thinks they know enough to be a teacher.

    To follow up a bit more, the SB panels were removed from DW for a reason.  The code is outdated and the MySql connections won't work on servers running PHP 5.5+.  Learning to work with code is essential.  Design View alone won't cut it.

    I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure  if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck
