Cable connection lost and update failed to finish

Am new to Apple computers and need some help.
Had to recent large (140MB ?) security update. I didn't pay that close attention to the size. But it seemed to be taking forever to finish when I lost my cox cable connection. Since then I can not open applications like email, docs, preferences to get to updates, etc. But I can open folders.
Did the interrupted download finsih?
How do I check?
If reconnect will it continue from where it left off?
Appreciate any help for the novice new apple user.
Thanks

Before doing anything else, I would try what KT mentioned. Afterwards, if you still have problems, then I suggest you do a repair install of Sno by installing Sno over Sno as in an upgrade install. Such an install, while usually very safe, still is an install so be appropriated backed up if you proceed.

Tried to use iphone connecting to wifi but failed dispite password correct, cable connection ok, and even reset network setting in iphone. Anyone can help?

I get in now with the following procedures taken:
    1. Reset network as suggested in Apple app.
    2. In the wifi connection, instead click in the user name as shown in the screen, I click Others and re-type the user name as appeared before. In the security, instead of none, I click WEP. It will then prompt you to put in password. I then put in password as I know for that user name again.
    Then, it joined the wifi..
Hope this can help someone who get this problem.

  • HT1212 my ipad is desactivated, i forgot my passcode, i'm connecting to Itunes but connection lost and i'm asked to add a passcode

    hello
my ipad is desactivated, i forgot my passcode, i'm connecting to Itunes to restore but connection lost and i'm asked to add a passcode

Then you will have to use one of these two methods in order to unlock your device
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

  • "reproc: Insert and Update failed on" replicated table

Hello, I've published a new publication item on an Oracle Lite Server (9i and mobile server 5.0.2.10).
After inserting records on the server replicated table (Table1), when I try to sync some devices, I have the following error message on the client PDA "reproc Insert and Update failed on " Table1.
If I empty the server table's records, then the client PDA syncs OK.
Can someone refresh me with the cause of this error ?
    Thank's in advance.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    This is my actual requirement.
During the updates i.e update process and delete process, if the filed status is changed to 'O', '0' or ' ' in SAP, then those records in Oracle should be deleted.
if the field status is changed to other than 'O', '0', or ' ' SAP, then those records needs to be updated with the remaining information
How do XI Know that these fields are changed in the SAP table to perform delete ,is some notification required when there is change in SAP Table through proxy ?

    @lyjammy
Not quite sure from your post whether E71 still functional upon previous firmware and just fails to update every time that you try; if that is the case it may be easier to find another PC.

  • "Connection lost" while updating phone software in...

    Good day.
I got a notification on the Suite that there is a phone update (v11.40) for my Nokia C2-01. I wanted to upgrade my phone's software so I decided to go on with it.
The backup phase is good, but later it said "Connection lost" during the installation.
I canceled the installation, and when I turned on my C2-01, it shows "Test mode" on the screen. So I switched it off. Luckily after a few minutes I tried to switch it on again and the phone goes back to normal.
What should I do to avoid this situation from happening again? I'm using version 3.6 of the software and I hope this won't happen in version 3.7. Thank you.

Can you tell me the OS of the PC that you are using? You can try this troubleshooting and see if it will work:
In Windows 7 and Windows Vista the reason for failure may be caused by windows trying to download and install additional conflicting device drivers during the update process.
To disable windows device installation for the duration of the Nokia Suite process do to following:
Access "Control Panel" and select "System and Security", and from there select "System"
Next select "Advanced System Settings" and then the "Hardware" tab, and select "Device Installation Settings"
From "Device Installation Settings", choose "No, let me choose what to do" and next select "Never install driver software from windows update"
    Click "Save Changes"
After this process please try to run the Nokia Suite process again. You may need to manually connect to your device again using Nokia Suite's "Add New Device".
Remember to enable the windows device driver settings after successfull installation.

  • IOS 7 update says update failed when finished.  Help??

I am updating from the last 6ios to the latest 7 iOS through my phone not iTunes. Once it completes, I get a message saying update failed. I have enough room (or it wouldn't let me update to begin with. Any ideas??

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
You may also have to restore your phone using iTunes on your computer. Be sure you update iTunes on your computer to iTunes 11.1.

Hi, I tried rebooting with shift down, then rebooting again. No network still.
I looked in /var/log/system.log, but nothing from AppleYukon2.
I pasted the relevant portion from system.log beginning with the shutdown prior to rebooting with shift. I hope there's not too much text...........
The log below includes the reboot while holding shift as well as the subsequent reboot.
I did see several useful messages in the system log (below), for example:
