Cable p5800

Hola tengo inspire p5800 y un amigo me ha dado el decodificador del gd580 pero sin ningun cable.
Por favor haber si alguien me puede decir donde puedo conseguir el cable que une el subwoofer con
el decodificador y no me refiero a las tres salidas de los altavoces.
Se q el decodificador tiene un din-6 pero el del subwoofer no se de que tipo es, porque pone volumen de control.
O decirme aunque sea que tipo de cable es.

P5800 Problem [only front speakers & sub r working]

Hi, i'm portuguese so i hope i can explain my problem in order for u to help me. (sorry for my bad english btw..)
I bought a P5800 speakers system and installed them perfectly with the help of the manual, everything was double-checked and everything is installed fine.
So, i opened WMP10 and selected a mp3 file to listen.. but to my surprise only the front speakers and the sub were working. I thought it could be the cables that were switched, but no, everything is ok. I went to the sound options in the control panel and set the system to 5.1, but nothing happen. My soundcard is an Audigy SE.
What can i do to play music with all the speakers working?
Can someone please help me resolving my problem ? plz...

I have an Audigy SE and when i try to enable EAX in Creative's software MediaSource Player, a message appears saying "this feature is not available because no supported audio device is detected". Why does this message appear?.... I know my soundcard totally supports EAX.

Inspire 5.1 P5800

Hello guys!
I just bought the Creative inspire P5800 and want to install it on a Acer Aspire 692 laptop. Problem is that it wouldn?t work the right way . It is not clear which speaker is the front, which the rear, which the right etc. I only know which one is the central speaker. The other ones are similar.
On the laptop, the terminations of the soundcart have the colors, pink and black. The wires of the speakerset have the colors green, orange and black. Which ones do I have to combine with eachother?
I hope somebody can help me, thnx!

It doesn't matter which speaker is the left or right as they are the same so you can connect them to any of the speaker jack on the subwoofer. I believe the rear speaker have a longer cable so you can check that. As for connection to your laptop, they usually comes with onboard audio and typically do not support more than 2.1 speaker system. That's why you only had 2 audio connector from it, pink should be for the microphone and black for the speaker/headphone. You can consult your laptop user guide or check with the support personel of that company on the proper connection of 5.1 speaker system if possible. Alternatively, you can get a USB based soundcard or PCMCIA soundcard(if you have available PCMCIA slot) that's able to support proper 5.1 speaker system.

Inspire p5800 - center speaker doesnt work

hi there...
i got a little problem... i have SB audigy 2 and inspire p5800...
I set i up and the center speaker doesnt work at all.. no madder what i do.. i can hear the center speaker snear or something.. but i cant hear any music from it at all...
If i try calibrate the 5.1 the center speaker makes sound like it was the subwoofer... any solution for this? i checked the cables and they are in the right places..

Hm, that is certainly odd......make sure the jack that goes from the subwoofer to your sound card is in the correct spot.
Not sure but you may have 3 wires going to your soundcard - refer to the user manual for the correct order.
If you are using digital - well then - I don't have a clue unless you hooked that digital cable to the wrong place on the soundcard as well.

Can a inspire p5800 be used without a computer, as a stand alone speaker system

Can an Inspire P5800 be used as a stand alone speaker system? Here is my story. I just got this speaker system from my girlfriend who did not know that it had to be hooked up to a computer/soundcard etc... She thought it would just hook up to my MP3 player and be used as a speaker system downstairs in my shop. It looks like the decoder DDTS-100 could be bought and used as a stand alone sound adapter? Or is there a cheaper way? The only other way I can see is a triple headphone adapter that has one 1/8 inch plug going to three 1/8 inch jacks that can be fitted with a 1/8 inch plug to plug cable in each jack, then those going into the back of the subwoofer/connector area. Would that be a mono source that way? Any help would be appriciated. marc

I have set this system up with a creative zen vision m without using a computer just stand alown, but i have only been able to get the subwoofer, front left and right speaker to work. I dont know if that helps.

Front Right Speaker Sometimes not Making a Sound, P5800

Hi,
I have the Creative Inspire P5800 Speakers. Every so often, the sound that my front right speaker makes is very faint. It happens all of a sudden, the only way to fix it is to calibrate my speakers from my Sound Card settings a couple of times before it returns to normal and then it does the same thing again later. My Sound Card is Creative Audigy 2 ZS. This has only started happening when I had to disconnect my cables from the back of my computer as I had to install a new hard drive and install Windows XP and drivers again. My cables are properly connected as I did a Speaker Channel Test and the calibrator reports no miswired cables. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Creative Inspire P5800 5.1 Speakers Only the subwoofer and front 2 speakers work HELP!!

I have got the "Creative Inspire P5800 5.1 Speakers." I have connected all the speakers to the subwoofer and plugged my Creative Zen Vision : M into the AUX socket on the back of the subwoofer using a jack to jack cable. When i play music only the subwoofer and the front right and left speakers work is there anything i can do to change this? (I have got no Computer involved)
Any help would be appreciated,

Currently, I'm using the P5800. My problem is sub can't working. I fix together with SB24Bit External sound card.Previously is working. I'm very proud with the sound,after I decrease the master volume and bass level volume my sub suddenly quit.what happened actually?
-Is that mean I need to change the sub speaker or the coil inside the magnet core is burned?
-or maybe my component circuit like ic,capacitor,diode burned?
If I plug n unplug the power to the sub,I can heard that 'bump'. Is that mean my circuit in good condition or maybe the charge and discharge for capacitor?

P5800's - Dead?

I bought a set of P5800's in November from a friend who didn't use them much. This week, I disconnected everything from the sub because I had to move it a couple feet away (as in, the sub did not undergo any stress or impact). When I connected everything back up, I was able to power the system on, but no sound went to the speakers. I tried connecting an iPod to the aux port on the sub, but that didn't work either.
When I plug the system in, the control unit LED lights, and I can hear the usual 'thunk' when the speakers get power, but no actual signal gets to them. I tried taking the sub apart, but I can't get the board out far enough to look at the jack connections, unless I disconnect the wiring to the sub driver, which is underneath a big mound of glue, and I'll probably damage the board more if I try.
I suppose the problem could be the orange/green/black cable, but it's not real likely that all three parts of the cable failed at the same time. So I was thinking it must be on the board inside the sub.
I guess what I am wondering is ... I know this is an old system and not under warranty, and based on what I paid for it, it's not going to be worth sending in for repairs. So I'm wondering if maybe this has happened to anyone else, and maybe there's something simple I can do? I know my chances aren't great.

I have a similar problem to that. My 5th generation 30gb iPod had half battery then when I plugged it into the computer, my computer didn't detect anything at all, even in iTunes. Any computer I plug my iPod into cannot be detected as through iTunes and nothing happens to my iPod, just a blank screen. The ONLY way I can charge my iPod is with my friend's speakers that can be plugged into the wall but another problem comes. The battery sign that indicates that my iPod is charging appears but when I remove my iPod from the speakers, the "fully charged" symbol appears like the battery with the plug symbol, although my iPod isn't connected to anything. And when I turn it off that huge battery symbol with the plug is still there. And to add to that computers still cannot detect my iPod.

DVI is video only so you only need one port... if you were hooking up audio and video you'd need three (1 for video - 2 for the left/right audio channels)

I cant figure out why my HTC Droid DNA is no longer recognized by my computer when i hook it up with the USB cable that came with the phone.

I used to be able to just plug in my phone with the USB cable to my Windows 7 computer and browse phone storage with no issues. Now my computer sees it as an android phone but when it tries to automatically install the drivers for my phone on the computer, i get an access denied error message. No option on the phone that i can see that allows me to mount phone as a usb drive. This used to work just fine with nothing more than just hooking up the cable. What gives??

Let's get that access granted again, e_rock_b. The HTC DNA doesn't have a special USB Mass Storage Mode that needs to be turned on. Usually, it's as simple as connecting and browsing http://vz.to/1jktbZD as you mentioned. If your computer is no longer allowing that easy access, try the steps at http://vz.to/1jktvr6.

Network Cable unplugged

I have BT Total Broadband Anywhere Home Hub 2. I have used it successfully on my desktop pc and wirelessly with my laptop. However I went away for 2 months and was unable to use either (everything was switched off whilst away). On my return the laptop can't connect at all, I just get two grey monitors with a red X and the information 'A Network Cable is unplugged'. I bought a netbook when away and am having the same problem with that now.
On the laptop that worked before, on my Network Connections it is showing as follows:
Local Area Connection 2
Network cable unplugged
Broadcom 440 x 10/100 Integrated Controller
1394 Connection 2
Connected
1394 Net Adapter #2
I have tried connecting to the Hub with an ethernet cable without success and when I run the Hub Manager on the laptop it just says it can't connect with the hub. When I run the Hub Manager on my desktop it says there is no wireless device detected.
A check on the laptops device manager hardware shows everything as working properly, but when I try the Wireless WLAN configuration utility in Control Panel it tells me there are currently no wireless adapters available and enabled.
I am getting desperate as I cannot sit at the desktop for any length of time and need the laptop, please can anyone help?

Hi, the devices you have mentioned are the 'wired' connections. On most laptops, there are switched you can press to turn on and off wireless, is it posisble this has been done?
You can check to see if 'wireless network' appears by selecting the Start Button, then click on Control Panel and open, you should see 'Network' (doing this by memory) and open that up, you will see Wired Lan and Wireless Lan.
If Wireless Lan is disabled, you can right click on wireless lan and enable it, that should work.

I presume you use your notebook with original preinstalled OS that you got with your notebook so it should work without problems.
Connect your notebook to the TV with HDMI cable. If your TV has several HDMI ports please enable right port on TV and after doing this use FN+F5 key combination to switch from notebook to the TV.
When you use FN+F5 key combination can you see several options including HDMI option?

I know Apple has a couple different Mini-DVI adapters for their Powerbook and MacBook computers. I don't especially like adapters and was wondering if anyone knows of a Mini-DVI to DVI cable.
Also, with the gaining popularity of HDMI, do you think we will ever see a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter or cable?

I know it is changing the subject, but I've been long frustrated by Apple's penchant for odd connectors, especially video connectors. Remember old quadras with 13 pin D connectors, powerbooks with square connectors, 7100s with I-don't-know-what connectors? All the while, ye olde VGA 15-pin D-sub connector was on just about everything else - even gas chromatographs.
We also got that funny mini-dix (Digital-Intel-Xerox) Ethernet connector on powerbooks when PCs were outfitted with familiar RJ-45 jacks. I did see one other machine that had the mini-dix: a government spec Zenith notebook.
I'm surprised Apple didn't use a VGA connector on the Macbook, given its above average exposure in the educational environment and greater than average odds of being hooked up to a lectern in a distance learning room. Pretty much to a tee, every distance learning setup I've seen has a VGA cable at the presenter's lectern. I worked in a university IT department, and it was pretty common for our loaner laptops to come back missing just about any ancillary goodie that could be misplaced. It isn't so bad to have to routinely stuff a new $2.00 cat-5 cable in the bag, but a $20.00 video dongle - not so good!
If Apple just couldn't countenance the idea of a VGA connector, I wonder how hard it would have been to have a normal size DVI connector? At least DVI-to-VGA connectors are easier to find, and better, aren't so expensive.
