Cable sync of calendar with 8110

I've just got a BB8110 from Vodafone. I was advised to use a BB as I am keen to sync my calendar from my pc (running XP and outlook 2003) with my phone. I will not be sync-ing over the phone network as this will cost me an additional £15 per month and I am quite happy to plug the cable in once a day to update. That's the plan, however, I can't get this to work at all; this is a shame as its a lovelly phone. The latest version of DTM (4.3) downloaded from the BB website will sync appointments from the PC onto the phone but not the other way. I have checked the settings on DT manager to ensure that 2 way sync is enabled. Curiously it doesn't have this problem with my address book and a 2 way sync happens no-problem.
Help. Does anybody have any ideas?

according to posts here and in http://netzwerk.nokia.de
there is a SYNC with WindowsLiveMail over Hotmail and Echange active sync.
Unfortunately when installed only the contacts from liveMail are available in WindowsLivemail locally on my PC, while the local stored contacts cant be seen.
The calendarsync works only with the Exchangeactivesync calendar as a separate calender but is not synced with the privat calendar on my phone.
So there is some of an API. But its unfortunately work just over cloud and does not sync really with the existing calendar but make a new calendar and just sync this one.
It is not a good solution because
-on the pc there is not a view on all appointments bacause not all calendars are synced.
-the sync is not just locally but spread the personal data in the so called cloud.
A popular solution could be, if you can't or won't extent the sync to Hotmail,
to enable NOKIA SUITE
with full Email, Contacts and Calendar and Tasks Support synced
to locally installed MOZILLA THUNDERBIRD and LIGHTNING parallel to Outlook.

Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.

Issues Syncing Google Calendar with Palm Pre 2 WebOs 2.0.1 - Timezones...

I am using Google Calendar to synch my company Outlook to my Palm Pre 2. I note that there are some prior posts on Timezone challenges and have followed the advice provided to no benefit.
All my events are synchronizing - however any recurring events not local to my timezone are not translating to my local timezone. So events scheduled by colleagues on the US West Coast are entered into my calendar at the time set ignoring the offset to my timezone (8 hours given that I'm in UK).
All events are properly reflected in Google Calendar it's the sync to my Pre which seems to corrupt (or more correctly not translate the time). Interestingly single events created by US colleagues are translated correctly.
Any suggestions as to how I can fix this??

This question has a couple parts to it. First, I am self employed and use Outlook as my primary calendar. With my BB7 device this syncing issue was easy but I find it so hard with my new Z30. My email is a rogers.com email. I have 2 email accounts on my device (personal and business which are both rogers.com emails. How can I sync my calendar with outlook and allow changes made in both outlook or the device appear updated on both outlook and my device? When I make a calendar entry in my phone it prompts me to use either my groups, my work email, my personal email and then I see BLINK with the name of my office computer. What should I be using as my default calendar? The one that says BBlink-Computer name or my business email address? Secondly is there a way to sync all my calendar entries with outlook to avoid personal and business conflicts? That is my BBM group calendar entries, personal email calendar entries and my business calendar entries? I'm really baffled by all this. I keep being told I need to set up an outlook.com email address. Do I really need to do this? I prefer not to. Essentially, how can I make all my calendar entries show on my office outlook calendar so I can see everything to avoid scheduling conflicts and not need to check my device before booking an appointment in my desktop outlook? Lastly I have my outlook set to show me Canadian Holidays. How can I get these to appear in my device calendar? Please... This has been baffling me since I for my device about a month ago. I think (and I'll double check) only the BBLink events will sync on a wired USB sync. I'm fairly certain of that.
You'll need to use your calendar syncing via an EAS email account (outlook.com, for instance, is free) to sync wirelessly. It works great. I use it and was a former tied to the USB sync guy as well... and I thought I was gonna die a painful death without it. I found more freedom this way.
This explains the process. But I don't think you'll get BBM Groups to sync.

I synced my calendar with exchange and now I am unable to edit a single event in a recurring series.

I created a recurring event and wish to add notes to just a single instance, but I am unable to do so. I used to get the window asking if I wanted to edit all events or just one. I'm not sure if this is pertinent or not, but I just synced my calendar with my exchange calendar. Perhaps this is the issue? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Assuming you're creating this event to place in your calendar, and assuming this calendar is shared with your iMac and iPad using iCloud, might the calendar be restricted on your iPhone?
Check Settings > General > Restrictions

BlackBerry devices do not support ActiveSync.
you have several ways, from best to less good :
1)
if your company has set up Outlook Web Access, you can use the BIS connection of your device to connect to the Exchange server (email + Address book) through the url of the Outlook Web Access. The OWA needs to be accessible from outside the company.
2)
if your company has setup an external link to the exchange server (can be accessible from outside the company), you can configure your BIS directly to the Exchange server (email only if I recall correctly)
3)
if your company allows it, on your PC you can setup your email account to automatically forward all incoming emails to a third party email (like GMail or Hotmail), and then configure BIS to connect to that email provider. You will get push email. You can then setup a reply-to: field.
4)
use a Windows Mobile phone that has the ActiveSync feature.

Hi guys - I just upraded to Windows 7 and I'm looking to see if it's possible to sync the calendar with the Windows Live Mail calendar? Syncing iPad calendar with Exchange / Outlook

i have a problem with syncing the calendar of an Exchange/Outlook User and his Exchange ActiveSync Account on different iPads (iOS 7.1.1 and 5.1.1).
If i got a meeting request and accept it provisionally on an iPad, and some time after, finally accept it in Outlook, the iPad doesn't recognize the change of state. Moments later, the meeting in Outlook change back to provisionally. All the expected mails have been send and recieved.
If i go the other way and accept it provisionally in Outlook and accept it finally on the iPad, it seems to be that the Users Outlook recongnize the accept, but the one who asks for that meeting don't get this change of state.
To me it seems, that the first reaction on on invitation is recognized on both systems (Outlook and iPad) and on both sides (asking and answering of that invitation). But if later a change of state appears, the iPad don't get it right (from Outlook) or don't send the right messages for triggering that change (from iPad).
And rarely a second issue seems to appear: meetings are vanishing from the iPad Calendar but they are definitly exist in Outlook.
Is there a Problem with ActiveSync from iPad (and iPhones i think) to Exchange 2007? Can it be solved? Or are there some workarounds?

If I update my iCal on my MacBook it will sync with my iPhone 4, but if I enter new data on my iPhone, it won't sync with my iCal on my computer.

How do I sync Outlook calendar with iPhone?

I am using Outlook 2011 on my laptop for my yahoo account. I receive all mail via Outlook and I use the calendar feature on Outlook as well. I set up the yahoo account also on my iPhone 4. I have no problems receiving/sending emails but I cannot figure out how to [wirelessly] sync the calendar from Outlook to the iPhone. Does anyone know if it can be done? And if so, how? Synchronization of calendars between Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and your Apple iPhone or iPod touch requires Apple iTunes. You can configure which items are synchronized during a one-time set up process. Good luck with your Mac!
After the initial setup, each time that you connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer, the changes made on your computer or device are synchronized.
Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer using the cable provided with your device or by placing the iPhone or iPod touch in the Apple Universal Dock.
iTunes opens automatically when connected to your computer.
In iTunes, in the source list, under Devices, click the entry for your iPhone or iPod touch.
Click the Info tab.
Under Calendars, click Sync calendars from, and then click Outlook.
Do one of the following:
To synchronize all calendars, click All calendars.
To limit the calendars that are synchronized, click Selected calendars, and then click the calendars you want to synchronize.
NOTE To select multiple calendars, press CTRL as you click each calendar name.
