Cache Monitoring in Runtime Workbench not showing status/throwing error

Hello Friends,
The Cache Monitoring in Runtime Workbench is not showing the status at all. Below is the error message that is displayed.
Connection to system RUNTIME using application RUNTIME lost. Detailed information: Error accessing "https://us-medpiqas.ww005.siemens.net:50001/run/value_mapping_cache/int?method=InvalidateCache" with user "null". Status of response is HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized - Unauthorized
It was working fine few days before. Now the messages are not getting processed as they are not able to access the message mapping at runtime. I am surprised as to how this happened. Can anyone of you tell me what I can do to proceed with the problem?
FYI: SXI_CACHE in ABAP Stack shows updated status and is green.

Restarting the XI: CPA Cache Service in https://<host>:<port>/nwa -
> Systems---->Start & Stop. After restarting the CPA Cache service. The error is no more shown.

Messages on Holding at Message Monitoring under Runtime Workbench

Hello Colleagues,
we have currently the problem that a lot of messages for some interfaces are in status Holding under Message Monitoring at Runtime Workbench for PI 7.1.
I'm not able to resend the messages with status Holding as well as change status to cancel.
Quality of Service for the Interfaces are Exactly Once in Order.
I assume an error message blocks the queue and due to the fact we have Exactly Once in Order configured all following messages be in status Holding.
Is my assumption right?
But, I am not abel to find any messages in status error with blocks the queue!
How can I solve that issue?

AE should have least number of EOIO messages at a given instance...otherwise Holding is what you get.....and holding is common with EOIO....so see if you can chagne the QoS of some messages to EO
But, I am not abel to find any messages in status error with blocks the queue!
Never you will get an error in SXMB_MONI....or the queue blocked....
When your message goes out of IE...the corresposding message entry is marked with chequered flag...observe in MONI you will see this....however in AE the message can fail if not able to send to the target system....

Runtime Workbench -> Component Monitoring -> Adapter Monitoring
When I tried to open, I am getting following message in the new window:
"The page cannot be displayed"

I have an error in message monitoring in runtime workbench.
We have installed PI7.0 and it should run on port 50000.But it is running on port 50100.
Please suggest what are the steps involved to resolve this problem.

Also check if you have set correct port in Exchange profile under Runtimeworkbench.

Problems after new installation (Runtime workbench not working as expected)

We have just finished installing new ECC & Netweaver in our company.
On PI side, I created a sample file (Payload) and did IR and ID configuration
and saw the payload getting picked up from the source directory and getting
posted in the target directory successfully.
However, when I went to Runtime Workbench and clicked on the Adapter and
File adapter to see the messages, I dont see anything. It is just blank.
However, when I click on Display it shows integration server and 4 items under it. 4th item is Adapter Engine which has a RED button next to it, indicating there is some problem.
When I click on the Adapter button to see the list of adapters, i see again a red button next JPR. However, File doesn't show any error message. But when I double click on File adapter, instead of showing successful messages, it shows a blank screen as if no file has been transmitted.
Also down at the bottom of the Runtime Work Bench Screen
Self-Tast Status and
Are Communication Channels without errors
also show a Red buttons next to it.
By double clicking on 'Are communication Channels without errors - Details", I get the following error message:
1 communication channels have an error status0 communication channels inactive0 communication channels not providing any status information0 adapters logging communication-channel-independent processing errors .
This is a fresh new install and any feedback on this will be greatly appreciated.

No "Adapter monitoring" in runtime workbench

We appear to having difficulties with our SOAP adapter in XI 3.0.
I have searched through the forum, and most queries relate to SOAP Adapter being greyed out in adapterframework, but it is not even available in the list.
We do no have the Adapter Monitoring as an option in our runtime workbench, either. How can we add this?
Any thoughts gratefully received!

Cannot display Adapter Service in Adapter Monitor - XI Runtime Workbench

Dear Experts,
I have already done the system copy XI 3.0 from Win Server 2003 32bit to WIn Server 2003 64bit.
I have also done the post activities in NW AS ABAP system copy and NW AS JAVA system copy.
I have a problem now,
I cannot display the adapter service in SAP XI Runtime Workbench ( http://jktbtr-sap01:50000/rwb/index.jsp )
Tree Domain -> Integration Server -> Adapter Engine jktbtr-sap01
Button Adapter Monitoring.
In the previous source system I can see all the adapter service : BC, File, JDBC, JMS, JPR, Mail , RFC, SOAP, XI.
But in the target system, I just found JPR with red light.
What configuration should I set to register and start those adapter services in target system?

can u check whether u are able to see the list of adapters in communication channel. when u select the adapters.
also do the CPACACHE refresh.

Insert into viewobject in app module does not show entity validation errors

Hi everybody,
I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3 and ADF BC/ADF Faces. I want to have a button on one of page and I want that whenever user clicks on this button a records is inserted in a table. so I created an application module service method and exposed it on the client interface and the put it on my page using Data Controls Tab.
Here is some part of my code in application module :

When this method tries to insert a record which violates a validation rule in the Base Entity Object, the screen does not show any error regarding to violating the business rule but nothing is inserted. I changed my code and captured the exception around the commit and I found that a JBO-27023 Exception happened after commit ( which was very surprise since the page does not show any error).
Now I can change my code to to the following to show that error happened.

throw ex;
But I believe it shouldn't be like this. Normally, we should be able to insert programmatically in a view and if the business rules are violated we should get the violation error messages. If I use the above mentioned method we can not understand what business rules are violated.
Does anybody know what is wrong with my solution? I have seen a lot of times that using application module is the best way for adding functionality to the application pages but I really feel that something should be wrong if we can not get business rule violation messages.
Any help or references would be highly appreciated.

it should work without try-catch.
1. When you add try-catch, does your error message appear on the page?
2. Does your page contains af:messages component?
3. Does your button have any navigation to another page?

Templates not showing & unknown publishing error

I have been unable to publish my site, even to a folder and I think the problem could be related to the fact that the templates are not showing (though when I pick one, it works) and the pdf on "getting started" says something like "not available". Do I have to get rid of the published site that I am replacing also, although I do think that is not the problem since I cannot publish to a folder.

Try the following:
Quit iWeb
Delete the iWeb preference file Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist.
Restart you Mac and run Disk Utility to repair permissions.

Search Crawl status throwing error

Hi,
We installed MOSS on our clients machine and Search has been problematic from the getgo.
When we have performed a forced restart on the osearch service (http://bruteforcesharepoint.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html), within the next couple of hours the crawler status wil be Error. But, search at this point is still working. Indexing basically
stops and event errors are thrown in the event logs, but searching is still possible.
Here are the symptoms:
the Crawl status is 'Error'
/ssp/admin/_layouts/searchsspsettings.aspx (Search Settings page) is throwing a HTTP 403 error : The website declined to show this webpage.
I can still get to the Search Administration, and when I go to view the Content Sources or view the crawl logs specifically, I get the same 403 error.
When I try to 'Reset all crawled content', that is when Search dies. I get the message an exception error message.
When I try to stop the Office SharePoint Search service in Central Admin, it hangs in the Stopping state. It'll only come out of this if I go through the task manger and manually force the process to stop and then start it again using the
stsadm -o osearch -action start -role index
command then search starts again. And I have to reset the crawled content and perform a full crawl (apart from also reconfiguring the indexer). I can successfully perform a full crawl, takes about 2 hours and it does an incremental crawl for the first
couple of increments. Then all of a sudden I get the follow errors in the event view log:
Error event ID: 1030
Source: Userenv
Desc: Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. Check the event log for possible messages previously logged by the policy engine that describes the reason for this.
And then we get thousands on the following error (the indexing schedule timer job basically stops working):
Error event id 6398
Source: Windows SharePoint Services 3
Desc: The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.IndexingScheduleJobDefinition (ID b6d1868e-26a5-4ae2-b922-0f129fd77a61) threw an exception. More information is included below.
Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
Now before you ask me about permission, we have created an admin user called spadmin who has access to everything and is the default content access account as well. It is also spadmin that is running the osearch, not the network account.
Can anyone provide any insights into why we are experiencing this issue??? We have gone round in circles trying to figure out what we're doing wrong or whether this is a sharepoint issue.

I was also in a same sort of situation, here is what i did:
1> locate the catalog file directory.
2>place CI dumps in the 12 hive/bin folder.
3>run the command
cidump -dump "catalog filedirectory location" -widset>c:\xyz.txt
4>search with the word "exception" if there is a hit eg
error:excetion caught xxxxxxxxx in shadow index xxxxxxxx then u need to delete this index.
5>run below command
cidump -removeindex "catalog filedirectory location" -i xxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxx signifies the shadow index .
6> restart the searchservice manually,timersevice.

ARD menu icon - not showing status always

Hi,
I often discover that ARD 2.2 does not set the current status (observation/control) properly. In other words: The icon in the clients menubar doesn't change in order to reflect that the machine is under observation or control by the admin. Often it simply doesn't change, sometimes there is a delay of several minutes. It doesn't matter whether the client is in the local LAN or on a remote site. Some hosts respond properly others, although same OS version and client version, do not?
Any ideas? Will this be better with ARD 3?
The Background of posting this topic is: A costumer (the CEO) believes, that I have found a way to observe his machine on the sly. Since Apple does not provide additional security features like a pop-up or a client confirmation for connecting to the machine (which I would prefer at least during clients office hours) I have to count on the given feature (the changing menu bar icon)!

Just installed ARD 3: Obviously ARD3 has much more problems in setting the status on the clients machine (only tested over WAN). But ARD3 App also looses status information about clients (ARD2 didn't).
What about an update?

Xmonad, ledmon do not show status in xmobar, maped caps lock

I am in the progress of configurating xmobar togheter with Xmonad and so far it is going really good thanks to the help I got from you guys.
But now I am stuck.
I have added Keyboard LED Indication, following John Goerzen's excelent guide.
Installed "ledmon" from AUR and added in xmonad.hs

Keyboard LED indication works great.
The problem is that I from time to time want to enter Swedish caracters and for the reason switch to se keymap.
I did that according to Archlinux wiki about X.
in /etc/X11/xorg.conf i added.
Option "XkbLayout" "us, se"
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:caps_toggle"
I can now easily toggle keyboard layout using caps lock.
However I do not get a indication in xmobar that caps lock is on. That would be great to se.
Any idea on how to accomplies this?
