Caching Server 4.0 not found on different network.

I can not get the caching server to start caching stuff on our network.
We run a 10 network for all our workstations. The servers are on a public IP, though not publicly accessible.
I am able to ping the server from my MBP. I can telnet to any of the open ports without issue.
Under the settings, we have it set for: Cache content for clients connecting from "All Networks"
Serve clients with public addresses: "on other networks".
Under the settings, i have all our public IP addresses listed. I have copied the TXT record and put that in our DNS configuration.
At no time does any of our machines on the 10.0.0.0 network connect up to this OSX server. We have an old server still in production on the public ip and it appears to connect to the caching server once in a while.

You are right, it doesn't just come out and say it. I had it in the back of my mind that the Caching Server must be on the same subnet as the clients. This information comes from Apple's certification book "OS X Server Essentials 10.9: Using and Supporting OS X Server on Mavericks". Basically the server and clients need to be on the same subnet behind a NAT device.

Hi All,
I am a beginner with BO.
I installed BOE (Version XI 3.0) on my machine. Just after the installation, all the tools were ok.
After logging out of windows, I have the error "Error: Server BALAHSAN01:6400 not found or server may be down (FWM 01003) null" when I try to connect to the CMC or InfoView.
My configuration is : Windows XP SP2. I'm using MySQL5 and Tomcat. ports have not been changed.
Note : my server is the localhost (no firewall!). MySQL5 does work.
Do you see any reason to this?

I install Business Objects XI R3.0 and Tomact, on Windows Server 2003 R2 Standar Edition SP2 and the repository is Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition.

One of the user is trying to run reports from PWA 2010 and gets the below error.
Unable to connect to the analysis server the server name was not found.Please verify the name you entered is correct and then try again.
Errors in the ole db provider.An error occurred while loading the connection dialog boxcomponent for prompting.
Please advice why?

Which kind of reports are you running? Excel using OLAP?
If so, check out on your Excel sheet connection information to see if it's using the SSS Authentication mode:
I'm asking this because if the failure happens with a single user, the authentication method is wrong and you should set up Secure Store Service properly.

does IOS support a way to skip to next AAA server if "user not found" is reached?
Need to have AAA/tacacs+ try local if no user is found.

The authentication source sequence is typically configured on the RADIUS server. tacacs+ is probably the same.
The IOS aaa new-model authentication sequence will only itterate to the next source if the previous one is unreachable.

Problems with cached previews and File Not Found errors in preview and build

I am having serious issues with Encore CS5.
When I try and build a preview or disk/image I am getting File Not Found errors. I have emptied the media cache in the preferences but my project still seems to be referencing previously cached files or rendered menus. Is there any way to manually delete previous previews or the cache. I know that there are no missing files in my project. Any help would be very much appreciated.
I am running Mac OS 10.6.4 and Encore 5.0

To fix your locales, see http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Configuring_locales -- in specific, you'll need to uncomment the en_US.utf8 locale at least, since that's the one that's specified in your rc.conf

Provided URLs (isqlplus, dba, database control) does not work.
IE shows an Error Message :

The URL provided for database control is now working.
I had to clear all check boxes on dialog reached throughout IE/Tools/Internet Options/Connections/LAN Settings.
The two other URLs - those provided at the end of Oracle Server installation for isqlplus and dba - are still not working.
The error is now "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
So I still need some help...

It appears that your WAR is meant to work with another appserver. In other
          words, the WAR is dependent on the workings of ejipt.

Weblogic 8.1: Remote/Foreign Server JMS - Destination not found error

This is our current setup: Weblogic Server 8.1 with JMS module running on the same instance as the application. We would like to move JMS out into its own box. I am currently setting up my development environment to test the new setup. These are the steps I followed:
* Setup the server instance running the application on one box (Box1). Removed the existing JMS Connection Factory and Destination JNDI setup
* Setup a server instance on another box (Box2) without the application. Created the necessary JMS Connection Factories and Destinations. Started the server instance on Box2
* Added a Foreign Server configuration on Box1. Created the connection factory and destinations under this foreign server pointing to Box2
* The Foreign JNDI names are being bound correctly (I verified the JNDI tree on Box1). Restarted the server instance of Box1
Message-Driven Beans deployed on Box1 are unable to retrieve messages from Box2. The exception thrown is given below. Any help in troubleshooting and resolving this issue is appreciated.

1 - Ensure that the MDB is configured to reference the remote connection factory AND remote destination.
2 - If using the foreign JMS server facility, ensure that it defines the URL of the remote cluster/server, a connection factory mapping, and a destination mapping. Also ensure that the MDB connection factory and destination descriptor fields reference the local JNDI names for the mappings.
3 - If not using the foreign JMS server facility, ensure that the MDB descriptor has the URL of the remote cluster, and a destination JNDI name that's in the remote cluster. (The connection factory JNDI name is not needed in this case, as the MDB will automatically look for a default connection factory that MDB's use.)
I think the MDB chapter of the EJB programmer's guide will likely be helpful here. The latest documentation for the latest release may be more up-to-date than 8.1 -- the concepts are the same with the newer releases.

Secondly, you need to go back to Apple in the country in which you bought the phone and get help with it there. Go back to the Apple store in the country in which you bought the phone. The warranty on the iPhone is not international, so is only valid for the country in which you bought it.

Content Server Error - User not found in Identity Store

I am trying to setup an external provider in Weblogic so that I can authenticate users via Oracle Access Manager / Oracle Internet Directory.
I have followed the documentation and created a new provider for my external Provider and called it OIDAuthenticator. I have made sure that the Control Flag is set to SUFFICIENT. Oracle Access Manager is installed and configured. It authenticates my logins and SSO works fine.
The problem is that when I try to create users in OID and then login to Webcenter, I get the following error:
WCS#2012.02.14.07.49.09 : User: tuser03 not found in identity store.
The strange thing is that I am successfully logged in with the correct groups after I click on the ok button on the error popup.
Any ideas???

The error goes away if I add the user to the Embedded LDAP.
This looks like a problem with the Control Flag setting but I can't see what I've done wrong because I have checked the Control Flag has been set to SUFFICIENT for OIDAuthenticator and OIDAuthenticator providers.
Have I missed something?

Standalone report server not found on the network between logical partitions on AIX

We have 2 logical partitions separated in 2 different physical m/c where cluster of forms /reports is installed.
if i have a report service repsrv11g on one logical partition say, box 100 on Physical box 6000, the other logical partition box101's forms server on physical box 7000 is not able to look up the report service when calling from Forms using the Run_report_object.
Gives, FRM -41213 error.
If i just run the URL(use 2nd box) with http://101:8888/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?server=repsrv11g, it gives REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server repsrv11g failed
We thought/read that as long as they re on the same network / domain, report service is available.
Also did rwdiag.sh on one partition, its not able to find the other one.
Ran the test form which Oracle provides and it s also not able to find the report server on the network when run on the other lpar.
Temporarily, we created another report service on the other lpar but still using loadbalancing dns while doing web.show_document, so, it could potentially fail to bring up a report if load balancer redirects from one form's server to report server on the other partition.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Labview as COM client to my COM server. Class not found?

I have created a COM server in python, a type library and associated it with my python com server. I am able to access the com server from excel, vbs, python, TCL, etc. But not labview. The IDispatch interface seems to be working to the extent I've tested it... for example, GetIDsOfNames works. I presume it is the IDispatch interface which labview uses to automate stuff.
According to labview the COM server cannot be found. I get the following error:
Error -2147221164 occurred at Automation Open
This error code is undefined. No one has provided a description for this code, or you might have wired a number that is not an error code to the error code input.

From the labview side of things, the only difference I can tell between my COM server which fails to work and a working COM server like excel is when picking a com server to use there is some additional information in parathesis after the object I can create, like so:

Objects: Application (Excel.Application.9)
Here we have this extra info (Excel.Application.9), and I wonder if it is required for labview to find the com server. With my COM sever all I get is:
Type Library: TestComServer 1.0 Type Library Version 1.0

So I wonder where the information in the parathesis comes from. Perhaps I have something incorrected in my .IDL file used to create the type library which should provide this information? The type library definitely seems to be registered as I see it from both labview and oleview.
To help me troubleshoot, can someone tell me the API calls the 'Autom
ation Open' block runs? Perhaps if I know the exact API call failing I can fix the problem if it is with my server or at least replicate it in a vbs script.

Hello, please see the attached jpgs to show what I think is the problem with labview being unable to 'find' my com server. What causes the parenthetical information to be displayed?? Does labview get this data from the registery somewhere? This is the ProgID - but for some reason there seems to be an association not being made which would normally permit labview to find the com server, which instead returns a component not registered error.
I've been able to register my server in a debugging mode. From other applications I see it get loaded. With labview there is no connection made at all! Labview seems to fail to use the proper ProgID to instate the object. So where is it getting the ProgID from?

SQL Server JDBC Driver Not Found!!!!!!!!!

I really need help with this one coz it seems I've done everything and still things aren't working.I'm running a Win2k Server with Sql Server 2000,now I know that I need the sql server 2000 Jdbc drivers inorder for me to connect to the sql server on my machine I've downloaded and installed the drivers successfully at least I think it's successfull coz when I go to the administrative tools option I see that the drivers have been installed.
When I try to connect to the server I get an error:
Class loading errorjava.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
despite the fact I have installed the drivers.
If you've got any idea on how to solve this problem,I would appreciate it if you filled me in.

Notice that you aren't using the MSSQL JDBC driver anymore but the Sun JDBC-OBDC-Bridge now which is far less powerfull than the MSSQL driver.
If you want to switch back to the MSSQL driver:
Regarding the setup of the driver. Not setup required - only for extracting the driver JAR files. Put the 3 JAR files into the classpath of your app server where web-apps can see them. At least you can always put them into the WEB-INF\lib directory of your web-app, where the driver is visible only to your web-app.
If you would like to configure the driver parameter in your web.xml use context init-parameters for web-app wide scope or servlet/JSP init-parameters for servlet/JSP only scope.
