CAD Agent Login by name instead of agent id ?

We are using UCCE 7.x and agents login to CAD through numeric Agent ID,
Is it possible for Agents to login with thier windows domain user id instead of agent id ?

In Cisco Desktop Administrator, Personnel Configuration, Agents.  Use the checkbox next to 'Agent Login By:' for either Agent ID or Agent Name

    Hi all, hope everyone is well.
    I am running a UCCE 7.5.8 environment with CAD 7.5.8 and CUCM 7.1.3 I am having some CAD agent suddenly unable to login to CAD due the following error "An unknow failure was receved from the Cisco Unified Communication Manager. You may have entered an incorrect ID, password, or extension. Verify your entries are correct and try again."
    The fix is to dis-associate and re-associate the device with the PGUser in CUCM even though the device shows it's already associated with the PGUser. Has anyone run into this issue ? I am trying to understand the root cause.

    Hi,
    yes, unfortunately, I have seen this many times working with the ICM 7.x or 7.5.x release train. Always talked to TAC, always installed an ES, but somehow, mystically, the problem went away when upgraded to ICM 8.0(x).
    Looks like a design flaw.

  • Cisco CAD agent automatically login to 3rd party web application

    I am aware that Cisco UCCX CAD agents have the ability to launch a web application by configuring the web page within the UCCX Desktop Administrator. This is an excellent feature; however, I need to automate the login to the web application using CAD as well. Is there a way have CAD launch the application and push the user credentials required to login to the application as well once the agent logs into CAD?

    This can be configured in CDA as either voice contact workflow or agent management workflow.

  • UCCE 7.5.8 with CAD Agents sitting in India

    Hi all,
    I've got a scenario and am looking for some inputs.
    I've got a centralized CUCM 7.1.3 with UCCE 7.5.8 and CAD 7.5.8. Today I only phones at our India office and all is working perfectly fine with no issues. I am looking into having CAD agents sitting at this office connecting UCCE environment back in California. I've done some testings with CAD agent installed in India and so far all is looking good. It takes about 60-80 seconds from the CAD login screen to completely login to CAD.My concern is the round-trip delay between Ca and India, it's about 290-300ms round-trip.
    Questions:
    Has anyone successfully deployed this type of scenario ? please share your experience !!!
    Has anyone used WAAS to help accelerate CAD login process ?

    Unified CCE deployments can support a mix of CAD and CTI OS agents on the same PG. If a mix is deployed, the sizing limitations of CAD apply.
    Note that Cisco Supervisor Desktop (CSD) can monitor only CAD agents, and the CTI OS supervisor application can monitor only CTI OS agents.
    Cisco Agent Desktop, Supervisor Desktop, and CTI OS cannot co-exist with Cisco CallManager PG; the configuration of agents and supervisors must be kept separate. Cisco Supervisor Desktop cannot be used to monitor a CTI OS agent desktop, nor can a CTI OS supervisor monitor a Cisco Agent Desktop agent.

  • UCCX 10.5 CAD agent cannot log out

    UCCX version 10.5.1.10000-24
    CAD agent can log in, go ready/not ready just fine.  But when agent hits the logout button, it fails. 
    CAD logs shows logout failure as below.  Trying to figure out why agent can't log out and how to fix it.

    Certainly something to try, but I don't see why that would make a difference in an inability to log out.  I have many customers who only use the default workflow and haven't seen any of them with this issue previously.
    Are you guessing here, or have you actually seen that resolve similar problems?

I have one location telling me and I witnessed it today that when a call is presented and the user lets it go as a ring no answer the call acts as if it never leaves the Agent. It does start to ring the next phone in line like it should but the Agent that let the call RNA still shows the call on thier phone like it is still being presented. The Answer/drop button stays lit while this is happening. I can log off the user (it tells me there is a active call in progress) and then log them back in and it works again. This is sporadic sometimes the users go for a day or 2 without it and it happens on multiple users. I did a BUG search and could not find anything.
    Has anyone seen this yet?

       We are planning to deploy UCCE componenets on main site and Voice Gateway plus CAD Agents/Supervisor at branch site. in case of CAD desktop monitoring option there will be two rtp streams from branch to CAD server or that would be point to point agent to supervisor?

    Desktop Monitoring
    Desktop monitoring uses software running on the agent's desktop (Cisco Agent Desktop) to sniff the network traffic going to and from the agent's phone (hardware phone or software phone) for RTP packets. The monitoring software then sends the RTP packets to the appropriate software over the network for decoding. Desktop monitoring relies on the ability for certain Cisco IP Phones to be daisy-chained with the agent's PC via a network connection and for the phone to send all its network traffic along this connection to the software running on the PC. In this case, the packet sniffing software is able to see the voice traffic coming to and leaving from the agent's phone. It will copy this traffic and send it to the supervisor monitoring the agent or to a recording service for the call to be stored and to be listened to at some later time. Desktop monitoring is not a true service, at least from the perspective of the Service Control Manager. It is a Dynamic-Link Library (DLL), an executable module that is part of Cisco Agent Desktop.

  • UCCX RTMT and CAD Agent Logs

    I have a CAD agent (version 7.0(1)) which uses the IPCC extension to make outbound calls.  My issue is with the RTMT showing these calls as Contacts Presented and Contacts Handled.  When the agent logs into the client to start their shift, they are showing 17 Contacts Presented and 27 Contacts Handled even though they have not received any calls of yet.
    I have tried to reset all stats in the RTMT, all stats clear for all other agents except this agent.
    Is there a way to clear the call log from the CAD?  This is effecting reports supervisors are gathering for call log data.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    CSD + CAD agent software always disconnect ( 10 to 15 times Per hour ) and not recovered automatically and shows CRS failure in CSD.
     Connection lost or timeout with UCCX server.(attached)
    IPPA always disconnect and shows error (attached).

    You are running the baseline version of UCCX 8.5(1) which is a bad idea. There were several nasty  bugs in the original 8.5 release.  Install 8.5(1)SU4 (8.5.1.11004-25), update the CAD clients and try again.  Also check for any firewalls between your phones/CAD and the UCCX server.

    here created one column Created by here user can view list of values in username . it EAM module work request page .
    my issue is while creating the work request Created by name saving in to the database but requirement is user needs to select using created by LOV that username needs to be save on data base .
    once open the application created by name is coming as a login name using controller i removed the created by i set the created by name in PR is lovevent .
    front end its working fine but while saving login user name is saving i need to save the created by name based on the lov .
    can any one help to overcome this issue......

    I have One more option i need to pass the created by as perameter in Jsp Page based on that user i need to get the password using (Encrprit ) command .
    Is it Possible to do in Passing the Parameter OAF to JSP page .and how to Encrprit the password to avoid entering the password .

  • My MacBook Pro Retina's Bluetooth chipset unknown/odd login message on the login screen states Login Window Authentication Login window Name edit text has keyboard focus. In addition, the login screen is not remembering me

    I have been experiencing several issues with my MacBook Pro Retina mid 2012. My MBPR is scheduled to go into the depot. However, I am wondering if anyone may be able to shed light on a few issues as this is the third "official" time my MBPR is going back for service ("one depot" trip; "one authorized" dealer; several in-store visits).
    My Bluetooth is stating that the Bluetooth Chipset is Unknown (0). I also have had Bluetooth Preferences mysteriously change on me. In addition, while Bluetooth is off there are two serial modems turning on. I have turned them off, but they continue to pop up.
    In addition, when I log in, my MBPR is not remembering me and my login name is not appearing on the slate-gray screen. The name and password are blank and the following message appears in the lower left hand corner. "login window authentication login window Name edit text has keyboard focus."  As a side note, I am the only user. The login issue is a recent occurrence as we just totally wiped it again via a Command + R, and I don't believe I have an accessibility setting set to anything that would cause this, but wanted to check.
    Should I be concerned here? Has anyone else had issues like this? I don't want to worry if I don't have to. I have had so many issues over the course of nine months. 5-6 wipes. Airport card replaced and I am about to pull my hair out if my MBPR doesn't come back worldly like clock work this time. I just can't send my days trying to get a $2300 product to work for me any longer. No idea what is wrong with it, but it is driving me insane. Cross your fingers for me and any guidance you have or thoughts would be welcomed. Thank you. EMM

    There are a ton of other warnings. Before I go through this again, can someone tell me if this is normal (all of it -- above too); or if these are symptoms is a keystroke logger or hardware issues? 
    I ask because originally, when my computer went in for diagnostics (more than once), Apple stated the hardware was fine (other than Airport Card -- finally). However, if I've done 5-6 total wipes; created new users; do not have sharing set-up; have not played around in Terminal; and am up-to-date with versions -- and various issues KEEP COMING BACK -- I am left wondering if a keystroke logger would be possible here?!? I thought maybe a faulty logic board, but why would diagnostics be okay, then? Not trying to be hyperbole, just desperate.
    Please help me rule keystroke logger out or at least, tell me so I know, so I can take appropriate action. If you think it could be the logic board with symptoms above, that would be a great too.
    All I want to do is use the computer as intended, but I can't seem to get a real answer, so after nine months -- I am turning to the communities to see if anyone -- anyone at all -- can help. The last thing I can do is have the MBPR come back from the depot and the same thing occur. Any guidance or advice would be so gratefully appreciated.

  • Song names imported as "artist - track name" instead of "track name"

    When I add a folder to my library (a folder which contains MP3 files which all contain complete ID3 tags), about 50% of the song names get imported as "artist - track name" instead of just "track name". If I click on any track which was imported like this, and right-click and select "get info", the track name shows up correctly in the dialog box, and it suddenly fixes the display on the listing (without me doing anything).
    I could fix each song by clicking "get info", but I would have to do this for all my songs, which would take far too long. Is there any way to get iTunes to import these track names correctly? Or is there a way to refresh the listing, and have iTunes re-read the ID3 tags on the MP3 files?

    To get the track names etc., when importing a CD, you have to be connected to the Internet.
    This article explains why.
    To get the info later, select all tracks (with the generic track names) of an album and choose 'Get CD Track Names' from the Advanced menu in the menubar.
    Very often the correct information will show up.

  • How do I get Mozilla to use the page name for the actual bookmark name instead of the URL when I bookmark a page

    I just noticed this (in comparison to Internet Explorer): In IE, when you favorite a webpage, it uses the actual name of the webpage (for example, for this page, it would be "Ask a Question Firefox Help" as the bookmark name), but in Mozilla it uses the URL address as the bookmark name. I was wondering if it was at all possible to change my Mozilla settings in order to make it use the webpage name as the bookmark name instead of the URL address? I hope everyone understands what I'm getting at? If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

  • When using iChat, what could be causing the person I am chatting with to see my daughter's name instead of my name?

    I had a regular chat buddy tell me that I was showing up in his chat window as Rosie (Last Name) instead of Michael (Last Name). I had noticed once or twice before when I had gone to Apple support to sign up for an Express Support call (where they call you at an appointed time) that it had Rosie's name instead of mine. I thought that maybe my daughter had called in for technical support or something.
    But after my chat buddy said he saw it on his chat window, I logged into the Manage your Apple ID site and sure enough it had the wrong first name assoicated with this Apple ID! So, I edited that back from my daughter's name to mine and submitted that change.
    Well, that chat buddy is still seeing me as Rosie, even though it all looks correct now at the manage Apple ID site.
    I'm not sure what to do. My daughter has her own Apple ID which is part of our MobileMe family plan. So, I guess in that sense there is some linkage between hers and mine. But that shouldn't create a problem should it? It's a unique username. I think they're only connected in a billing sense. And they soon won't be in iCloud.
    Can anybody tell me why this is happening?

    What I meant by "First Name" is the one at the top of the list as it were when the Family account was set up.
    (All the other sub-accounts tend to be regarded as Aliases)
    As @me.com names can now be linked to iCloud IDs  it may pay to look at separating the account out into different IDs in their own right.
