CAD Enterprise Data Association to new work flow

On cad 7.5 ver wanted to know how to associate an new Enterprise Data created to a Work Flow which is not the default.I presenlty have to edit the default Ent Data from Desktop Admin Console to have it reflected on the Agent Desktop. The agent desktop looks like the one attached. Is there a way also to change the names of the ICM Call Variable1 displayed on the agent desktop giving some appropriate name but using ICM Call Variables backend.

I don't know of a way - everyone does it as follows:
Create the ECC variable as (for example) userMyCADVariable and MyCADVariable will be available in Enterprise Data. On the ICM side, copy the contents of the PV into the ECC variable.
Why would this not be OK for you?
On the layouts - the normal way is to define an ECC variable for the layout - say userCADLayout and delete Ent Var 252. Then add CADLayout as 252. In ICM, as you go through the script you can set userCADLayout to (say) "Foo" and create a layout Foo in CAD.
This is all documented - now that you know what to look for, you will be able to understand the CAD Guide.

Geoff

  • Enabling Wrap-Up Data in Cisco Desktop Work Flow Administrator

Hello! I am running Cisco UCCX v7.0 and am trying to enable wrap-up data on my calls.
In the screenshot below, I am working with the Lending Work Flow Group and have added several Available Wrap-up Data reasons to the Work Flow Wrap-up Data reasons. I have also checked the boxes to Enable Wrap-up Data and to Enable Automatic State Change. I then clicked the Apply button and then manually synchronized the directory services from the Cisco Desktop Administrator webpage. Finally, I had the Agent login/logout of the CAD.
But when testing, the Agent was not prompted with a Wrap-up Data window. Is there a step I missed? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you mean the Cisco Desktop Enterprise Service under System->Control Center? No, I have not restarted that service.
What is the business impact of doing so? Will it logout and/or disconnect agents that are logged into the CAD and on calls? Should it be done after business hours in a maintenance window?

  • Looking for a new work flow...

I am about to get a new macbook 13inch (at the moment i use a 1st gen 17inch intel) I will get a new monitor for the home but want something very portable.
Right, at the moment i store all my Aperture files on an external firewire drive and back up the vaults on another hard drive (this used to be connected via my time capsule and worked fine till recently and I now can only back up vaults by connecting it directly to the computer)
The new macbook will have a much bigger drive so I am thinking current projects could reside on it and and less current work on the firewire, and vaults as before on the large powered hard drive at home.
The problem is should i go back to referenced files for the non current projects, or is there another route worth trying, as I had some issues with ref'ed files, and if i remember rightly, they can't be backed up to vaults.
The reason i am thinking of this workflow is that having current work on the computer may avoid any problems with using USB as a way to connect to the external hard drive. so making aperture more agile (it can be dog slow even with firewire). Also it means i can avoid having the hard drive with me when travelling.
Does this make sense? will I have to turn the current library location (on ext FW drive into a referenced volume?) and then need some way to back that up to the other hardrive?
Could I use time machine now it is supposedly more stable?

It sounds as though you are far ahead of me on working with Aperture and setting up Aperture workflow, so I hope you can help me with a bit of problem-solving of my own.
Problem 1: I am using Aperture with two cameras (photographers) at sporting events. The CF cards are given to me with about 300 RAW images (each) at 20 minute intervals. My problem is getting that many RAW images QUICKLY into Aperture and then exported again as small jpgs for sporting participants to view. After about an hour, I am getting quite a backlog of cards to import.
Problem 2: Then the greater problem...after about 5 or 6 (300 image) albums inside of a project, I begin to get the message from Aperture that I am seriously low on disk space and at risk of damage in Aperture. I have been exporting the project to an external hard drive at this point, but that brings the problem of getting the images back to the computer if someone wants to print it at the sporting event.
From your post, it sounds to me like I might have some options on where I can have Aperture save which might be helpful in my case??
Problem 3: One more issue I have with it is that even after I export that project, it still doesn't have much availability. After I import about 300 images, into the 2nd project, I begin to have "space" problems again. I am not sure why the 2nd project doesn't have as much "space" as the first one did (that is now out on the external hard drive.)
I am using a MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 2 GB RAM, running OS 10.5.5 I copied the following information from my Apple menu which (I think) describes my current hard drive situation (I still have the 2nd project on computer.)
    Macintosh HD:
    Capacity: 111.47 GB
    Available: 800.4 MB
Thanks for any advice from anyone!

  • Notification migration to a new Work Flow Server

I have the same Workflow Server and Flow Definitions installed on Server1 and Server2.
I can pass the Flow Definitions , but:
How can I pass the workflow data (data on run time tables ,not ".WFT Files") from Server1 to Server2 ?
    Thanks,
    Ivan Andrade

    Ivan,
The workflow definitions are versioned. So the run time workflow will need the corresponding workflow definition.
If your purpose is to just have a copy of the workflow schema, you could export and import the complete database.
If the workflow on both the servers are of different versions you may not able to import/export.
    Cheers,
    Raja

  • ESS Work Flow

    Hi
I'm new on ESS Work Flow. I got business request that if leave request end date is less today, then the work flow need bypass the manager approval and update IT2001 directly. I have two questions :
    (1) How do I pass leave request end-date to work flow container so that I use that date to determine if work flow should be completed without manager's approval.
    (2) How do I change work flow status so that leave request can update IT2001 without manager's approval. Currently, if I bypass the manager's approval (no condition due to do not know the answer of #1 ), the work flow status is set to complete, but it did not update IT2001 after I run report RPTARQPOST.
    Thanks for the help.
    Regards,
    Jim

    Hi Wu Jun,
Actually my problem is that I need define the workflow basing on vacation request start date and end date.
According to HR, if vacation request end date (for example  2 days vacation from Oct 18 to Oct 19) is less then today,  then workflow should not seek a approval from the manager and update IT2001 directly. We are using a copy of WS1230011 with some customizations. Yes, the possible agent has been defined in general task.
One key step of the business activities in the workflow is the task TS12300097. In stead of calling object type from Business Object Repository, this task calls a ABAP class (CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS) as object method.  In this class, I could not find any attributes that is vacation start / end date related, therefore, I could not find associate container items from the workflow to make completion condition (if end date less than today then completing the step) of the step.
Hope you understand my issue and have more specified input. Thanks.
    Regards,
    Jim

  • Triggering a sub work flow for multiple users at same time.

I have a scenario in which I have created sub workflow as an activity for approval process. This sub work flow should be triggered for multiple users at the same time and their decison is independent of each other.
This is like creating multipe instance of the same sub work flow and then the sub work flow runs indepedently as a new work flow for each of the approver and the process is completeded for approver independently.
    How can this be achieved?

    Tyr to do like this,
    1. First include the subworkflow in the main workflow template.
    2. Now include standard Block Step in the main workflow template.
    3. In the block select the block type as ParForEach.
    4. Before doing the 3rd point make sure that all the agents for whom you want whom you want to initiate the workflow, populate them in a Multiline conatiner element.
    5. Once completing 3rd and 4th points open the block step under the tab ParallelProcessing  assign the multiline container element name in the   for e;g if the multi line container element name is COSTCENTER then do the binding like below. the conatiner element COSTCENTERLINE is created by default once you include the multi line conatiner element under parller processing tab.
    &COSTCENTER[&_WF_PARFOREACH_INDEX&]&   -------->     &_COSTCENTER_LINE&
Now assign the agent of the subworkflow as COSTCENTERLINE , imean if suppose you have 3 entries in the internal table then three separate and for three different agents the workflow is instantiated.

  • UCCE 7.2 Missing Skill Groups in Supervisor Work Flow Setup

Hi, one of our customers reported that when they try to configure a Work Flow for their supervisors in Supervisor Desktop, there are Skill Groups missing from the Available Skill Group List.
I've tried to figure out what might cause this, and the only thing I've found that is different between the visible Skill Groups and the missing ones is that in Desktop Administrator => Personnel Configuration => Teams  I can see that the missing Skill Groups don't have any Skills listed in Selected Skills under the Skills tab.
I've tried to find out where in ICM I can add the Skills, as the documentation says it's configured there, but I haven't had any luck so far.
Anyone have any helpful tips please?

    Hi
From the problem description I understand that you are seeing "available Skill groups"  empty  while trying to add a new work flow through CSD.
This is a known defect with 5.x version which has not been fixed yet

In 7.x this issue is not seen
    Hope this helps

  • Data/Work Flow in SAP

    Hi All,
Plz. explain the Data/Work Flow in SAP
Is there any difference between this if so explain,
and kindly tell me the process.
    thank you,
    Narender

    Hii..
    Work Flow- SAP Business Workflow
    Purpose
SAP Business Workflow can be used to define business processes that are not yet mapped in the R/3 System. These may be simple release or approval procedures, or more complex business processes such as creating a material master and the associated coordination of the departments involved. SAP Business Workflow is particularly suitable for situations in which work processes have to be run through repeatedly, or situations in which the business process requires the involvement of a large number of agents in a specific sequence.
You can also use SAP Business Workflow to respond to errors and exceptions in other, existing business processes. You can start a workflow when predefined events occur, for example an event can be triggered if particular errors are found during an automatic check.
SAP provides several workflows that map predefined business processes. These workflows do not require much implementation. For an overview of these SAP workflows, refer to Workflow Scenarios in Applications.
    Integration
SAP Business Workflow uses the existing transactions and functions of the R/3 System and does not change the functions. You can combine the existing functions of the R/3 System to form new business processes with SAP Business Workflow. The workflow system takes over control of the business processes. If you are already using SAP Organizational Management, you can use the organizational structure created there to have the relevant agents carry out the individual activities. It is possible to have an activity carried out by a position. This ensures that the respective occupiers of the position can carry out the individual activities during execution of the workflow. This means that personnel changes in your organization are taken into account immediately in the execution of a workflow.
    Features
SAP Business Workflow provides a number of tools for defining and analyzing workflows as well as for monitoring operation.
The Workflow Builder is for displaying and making changes to workflows. You can make small extensions directly to the original workflows supplied by SAP, such as carrying out your own agent assignments or changing deadline monitoring.
There are several Workflow Wizards to support you in the definition of workflows, with which you can create specific parts of a workflow. The Workflow Wizard Explorer gives you an overview of the existing Workflow Wizards.
In order to make the functions of the R/3 Systems available to a workflow, you use business objects, which you can define and analyze in the Business Object Builder. These business objects are made available to the workflow in reusable tasks. The Business Wizard Explorer gives you an overview of all existing tasks.
The end user receives information about the activities they are to carry out in their Business Workplace. This provides them with a central overview of all the activities that they are authorized to carry out. They can commence the activities from here.
Several tools are available to the workflow system administrator, with which they can control and analyze the current workflows. The workflow system administrator is notified of problems automatically by the system.
DATAFLOW-Data flow means flow of data from one module to another within a sap system.

    Aakash

  • UCCE 7.2.7/CAD 7.2 SR1 Work Flow Action issue

    Greetings,
This is on UCCE 7.2.7 with CAD 7.2 SR1.
Today, I created Agent Management Work Flow Action in CAD (via Desktop Admin). I want all of my agents within a specific Work Flow Group to be logged out at 9pm on workdays.
I choose the event "Time of day", create a rule and an action. The action is "Agent State Control" with value "AgentLogout". I choose to use automated reason codes. After configuration I hit "apply" and, just to be sure, I also sync the Directory Services.
The action is triggered, but the agent still has to choose the reason code to logout. Does this sound familiar to any of you or am I missing someting?
    Regards

    Assign it in the script.
Let's say you have created the ECC variable "userCADLayout" and you have been into CAD Admin and set this as the field index 252.
And you have created a number of layouts (e.g. Sales, Service) with different enterprise variables, ANI, DNIS etc.
Let's say agent Fred is in both the Sales SG and the Service SG.
Simply set the ECC variable in the script once you have decided its a Sales call or a Service call to the matching string "Sales" or "Service".
So a "Sales" call arrives at Fred's desktop and the arrangement (layout) is appropriate; ditto Service.
Once you have done this one time, you will realize how easy it is. Of ocurse, DON'T MAKE ANY SPELLING MISTAKES. ;-)
    Regards,
    Geoff

  • Optimizing work flow in FCP on new iMac? (dropped frames)

    Hello-
I've recently purchased a new iMac, first in about 6 years. I'm looking for some advice about optimizing my work flow in FCP. I am largely self-taught, using FCP for hobbyist/amateur video.
Until this new computer, I have been using FCP on other people's Macs (schools, arts institutions, etc), only resorting to my old Powerbook when absolutely necessary. So I have not had to worry about performance issues until now.
I am shooting on a Kodak Zi8 pocket cam in 1080p HD .MOV files, 1920x1080 H.264, AAC audio.
In my first attempts at editing the footage, I find that I am getting dropped frames on playback at every edit point - any time I cut between shots, add titles, etc.
(I also tried editing some much smaller, compressed files (QT 854x480, H.264, AAC audio) in the timeline and had the frame drop problem.)
Also, when I add titles, they do not preview render - I have to render them completely to be able to playback.
When I allow FCP to change the sequence settings to match the clip, I get the following:
    1920 x 1080
    Aspect: HDTV 1080i (16:9)
    Pixel Aspect: Square
    Field Dominance: Upper (Odd)
    Editing Timebase: 29.97
In this instance I am editing footage that is stored on the local HD, but I have also tried editing footage from a USB 2.0 external drive, and got the same dropped frame problem.
...its a little frustrating to get these performance issues on this new computer, so I hope that someone here can help me resolve some of my problems. Hopefully this is a work flow issue, but if its a lack of hardware, well, shame on me for not looking into it enough.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi -
H.264 is a recording and delivery format, but as you have discovered, it is very difficult to edit. Its qualities of recording a high quality image in a small file size, which make it attractive for use in Flash based camcorders, makes it very difficult for FCP to work with. Attempting to work in H.264 makes FCP drop frames, require constant rendering, etc.
The best solution is to convert your footage to an edit friendly file format, such a ProRes LT or AIC. There will be minimal impact on the quality of the image. This conversion will result in files that are much larger than your original files, but will work easily in FCP.
You don't say if you have FCS or just FCP, but if you do have FCS then you can use Compressor to do the conversion.
    Hope this helps.
