CAD Remote Access/IPC connect messaging
Within the CAD documentation, there is reference to being able to enable CAD to receive IPC Events over UDP (ref: "Remote Access" within CAD user guide.
Two of the actions that can be sent to CAD via XML are the "Make Call" action and the "Set Variable" action.
We would like to confirm if it's possible to either bundle multiple actions together under a single "IPCActions" command or to send multiple "IPCActions" commands in the context of a single call (eg; send a MakeCall, then send multiple SetVariable commands).
You would need to do the latter. I'm not sure on the timing of this - I don't know if the CTI server will accept the set variable commands prior to establising the connnection. (Since this is UDP, the CAD servers are just passing this data along to CTI - there is not confirmation.) This is something you'd need to play around with.
regards,
Tom

Hi,
It would be better to provide an ScreenShot for your problem.

Remote Access VPN connecting but not passing traffic
I have a remote access VPN configured on a device here. I'm able to connect a device and it assigns me an IP address out of the pool, and injects the routes to its local network, but I'm not able to pass any traffic through the VPN and none of the IPSec SA counters increment for the dial-in connection. I've compared the config here to the samples from documentation and I don't know what I'm missing. Config is below.

Remote access vpn connects to 5505 but cannot ping any servers
I have a cisco 5505 and am trying to configure it with ASDM 6.4.
My vpn client connects ok to the network but I am unable to reach any of the servers.
I'm sure its a simple configuration issue as I don't have much experience with Cisco configuation.
Any suggestions on where to look would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
GrahamThanks Jennifer.

I have a customer that has a ASA 5510 version 8.3 with IPSEC Client Access that includes some of their networks on the Inside interface. The issue they are having is when their mobile users connect with the vpn client (which is using split tunneling), they can no longer access their web server applications that are running in the DMZ. Without the client connected, they access the web servers via the external public IP. Once they are connected via vpn, their default dns server becomes the internal AD DNS server, which resolves the DNS of the web servers to the private DMZ ip address.
Can a Remote Access VPN client connection be allowed to connect to both the DMZ interface and the Inside Interface? I had always only setup RA VPN clients to connect to networks on the Inside Interface.
I tried adding the DMZ network to the Split Tunnel list, but I could not access anything it while connected to vpn using the private IP addresses.Yes, you should be able to access DMZ subnets as well if they are added to the split tunnel ACL. You could check the NAT exemption configuration for the DMZ and also check if the ASA is forwarding the packet through DMZ interface by configuring captures on the DMZ interface.
Share the configuration if you want help with the NAT exemption part. -
Can I remotely access HD connected to Extreme?
I know to control a routered mac you need static mapped addresses.
However since an HD connected via USB to an extreme airport will always be connected to the same address, is there a way to access the HD?
I have a filemaker database I want to be able to access from the office and from home. Can ARD now manage non statically routed macs?
alanJust plug the disk drive into the USB port on the AirPort Extreme base station and it should just pop up on any Mac that accesses that base station. You'll want to go into the AirPort set up utility's manual configuration section to password protect the disk drive though.

* Original Title: SonicWall Netextender issue with Windows 8.1
I am able to install SonicWall Netextender version 6.0.181 without any issues in my Windows 8.1 machine. When i try to establish the connection getting this error "Remote Access Service Error - Rebooting might Solve the problem".
Hope someone can help me in resolving this issue.Hi,
Please go to Windows Service manager, run "services.msc", then Look for the Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and Remote Access Connection Manager to see if those two services have been started. If not, set them to automatic start, reboot the machine,
and install\configure NetExtender again.
Since this is a third party application, it's recommended to contact the application vender to check the compatibility with Windows 8.1\IE 11, because they're more familiar with the application.

Remote access VPN with ASA 5510 using DHCP server
Hi,
Can someone please share your knowledge to help me find why I am not able to receive an IP address on remote access VPN connection while I can get an IP address on local DHCP pool?
I am trying to setup remote access VPN with ASA 5510. It works with local dhcp pool but doesn't seem to work when I tried using an existing DHCP server. It is being tested in an internal network as follows:

LayFor RADIUS you need a aaa-server-definition:
aaa-server NPS-RADIUS protocol radius
aaa-server NPS-RADIUS (inside) host 10.10.18.12
key *****
authentication-port 1812
accounting-port 1813
and tell your tunnel-group to ask that server:
tunnel-group VPN general-attributes

Routing Issue for Remote Access Clients over Site to Site VPN tunnels
I have a customer that told me that Cisco has an issue when a customer has a topology of let's say 3 sites that have site to site tunnels built and a Remote Access client connects to site A and needs resources at Site B but the PIX won't route to that site. Has this been fixed in the ASA?
Patrick, that was indeed true for a long time.
But now it is fixed in PIX and ASA version 7.x.
Please refer to this document for details:

Remote access vpn clients, access to Internet resources
Hello, we currently have a remote access vpn set up terminating on an ASA 5520. Remote access users connect into this ASA and are able to access resources inside of the firewall- the public IP of the ASA is 1.1.1.135. We need these users to be able to access resources natted behind another ASA firewall on the same public IP segment, at IP address 1.1.1.165.
I have gotten to the point where I believe I have all of my Nat/global statements in place, along with my ACLs on both firewalls, but I am not able to make the connection to the server behind the second ASA.
running packet tracer on the second ASA (hosting the 1.1.1.165 server) shows that the packet will be allowed. RUnning packet tracer on the Remote access VPN ASA is showing that the packet is dropped due to :
Action: drop
Drop-reason: (ipsec-spoof) IPSEC Spoof detected
To me, this should be a simple setup, very similar to a company that tunnels all traffic (including Internet traffic) for remote access VPN users. It just doesn't seem like my traffic is getting to the second ASA wioth the remote host.
Anyone have any ideas?I figured out the answer- I had to add a nat statement form my VPN user subnet to be natted to the outside global IP:
nat (outside) 1 10.2.2.0 255.255.255.0 (this is my vpn subnet)
global (outside) 1 interface -
Remote access vpn going through another firewall segment
Hi,
Can i know that when use remote access vpn connect to asa firewall inside interface, after that the remote access vpn is it can connect to another firewall segment , the firewall segment is behind the inside interface?Hello Sam,
As long as you include that traffic into the crypto acl and also on the NO_NAT configuration the answer would be yes. That is possible

Routing and Remote access - internal network not accessing internet through public network!
Hello,
Good Evening to all.
I got an issue in routing and remote access on windows 2003 server. This server is already configured as File server, domain server and Application server. Also configured as router (through routing & remote access) for connecting three different
network to each other. So This server has three NIC card installed and each NIC card represent separate network.
three different network are - 192.42.160.0/24 , 192.42.161.0/24, 192.42.162.0/24
Three NIC card installed on server as with following IP address -
NIC -1 = 192.42.160.220 , Sub- 255.255.255.0 , Gateway - NO
NIC -2 = 192.42.161.220 , Sub- 255.255.255.0 , Gateway - 192.161.220.112 (This ip for internet access so 4g router IP)
NIC -3 = 192.42.162.220, , Sub- 255.255.255.0 , Gateway - NO
Now the issue is I can reach to internet & (also pinging to router ip 192.42.161.112) from only one network that is - 192.42.161.0/24 , BUT when I trying to access internet from another two network (192.42.160.0/24 & 192.42.162.0/24) I cant access
it and moreover can't ping to internet router ip - 192.42.161.112...
So how I can access to internet from other two network also?
I was already configured static routing for all three network but still I was not success. really I don't know what exactly static routing it should be done in routing & remote access so that all three network can reach to internet?
Sorry if I am not able to explain properly. Please let me know if you need more explain on this...
Thanks to all.Dear Milos,
I am happy to hear from you....
1.- Actually the setup was done long before by another guy and right now I don't want to change it.
Nice to hear from you! Thank you so much. Actually this is first time I am using technet forum upon the suggestion from one of the my friend. So any your help from you will help me a great in this issue...
I ran the route print command and given follow are the results.
I have only added the default route as per the below routes. Please guide me know how to add other static routes for three network.

Routing and Remote Access fails to install
Hello, I recently installed Windows Server 2008 beta 3 onto my new computer, which went smothly. I have ADDS, DHCP, DNS, IIS, Terminal Services, and Network Policy and Access Service installed and they all work perfectly. However, I recently tried to install Routing and Remote Access, but I got the following error message when I finished the configuration wizard: "Installation of the Routing and Remote Access Service failed because: Class not registered (80040154). Whats causing this, and how do I fix this?
I also have this trouble of an error when installing Routing and Remote Access "class not registered..."
It is a Windows Server 2008 RTM clean install.
Added machine to our Windows 2003 domain and then after reboot added Windows Powershell.
Logged in as domain admin and then when tried to add routing and remote access got the message described by everyone else.
Like others I need to know how to get over this problem. -

Is "remote access" is the best solution here?
Dear;Helpers
1st .. Thanks you anyway
that's my Topology in the figure
i57.tinypic.com/23mv5v9.png
Required:
To access the local website from the tow Ranges.
Suggestion:
To enable “remote access” for IIS (the local site) , so we can visit it on the Internet, or whatever the solution.
Note: Static IP is Supplied.
i know i can do it, if you helped me ..
need the steps..
A friend advised me to make a "remote desktop" instead of "enable routing & remote access"
could i?
Thanks all anywayHi,
Based on the figure you provided, I would like to know if the 192.168.3.0 network is a branch office in different location.
->To enable “remote access” for IIS (the local site), so we can visit it on the Internet.
If computers of the 192.168.3.0 network want to access the local website in 192.168.2.0 network through Internet, you should set up VPN connection. If you want to use remote desktop connection, the remote clients also need to connect to the 192.168.2.0 network
through Internet at first. And if the remote access clients connect to the 192.168.2.0 network through VPN, it can access the local site without other operation.
Best Regards,
Tina
