CAD replication question- IPCC enterprise

IPCC enterprise, 2 cad servers version 7.2.  One CAD server was down for more than four days causing replication between the primary and secondary CAD's to stop.  Ran postinstall.exe to restore the LDAP replication and same for recording and statistics , both showed successful but only LDAP seems to have taken.  when looking at the SQL database in CAD (using enterprise manager), the publication/subscription shows as deactivated for cra_agent_pub publication.
question:  Can someone look at there server and let me know if the subscription is supposed to show as deactivated?  (using enterprise manager, it is the listed as the publication on the primary CAD server)  if not, does anyone know if it is as easy as reinitializing the subscription?
thanks

Possibly you have two separate issues, but let's address the replication issue first.
1. Make sure that both RASS databases are well under the 2GB limit imposed by MS SQL Desktop Engine. Hit the 2GB limit and the DB will be deactivated. Go too far and it can even appear as "Unknown".
2. Login as the local administrator and remove replication using PostInstall
3. Use Enterprise Manager to ensure that all aspects of replication have been removed. All aspects!
4. Again, using PostInstall apply replication again
5. Check with Enterprise Manager that replication has been applied - all those red Xs should be gone - obviously .

  • IPCC Enterprise / CAD / CallBack issue

    Hi All,
I have IPCC Enterprise solution where I have a setup for two agent per phone, using Cisco 7960. Actually I using 4 buttons, 2 for each agents where the first button is his personal extension and the second is for agent funcionality. Each Agent is login correctly in reference each shift time and receiving calls without issue thru CAD, but when the agents try to do a call back with the CAD it does not work. Does not know the CAD what extension assign the call?
I attach an image that how are the agents are distributed at the 7960 phone.
    Please your suggest or comments
    Thanks
    Andres Cerda

There is no reason why this should not work. For example, at my current contact center project the agents have two lines, a CC line and a personal line. When they log in with CAD they specify the CC line. The device target and the label is only on this line - naturally.
As an aside, you should set the registry of the PG to disallow logins on JTAPI associated devices where the device target is not configured.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems, Inc.\ICM\customer\PG2A\PG\CurrentVersion\PIMS\pim1\EAGENTData\Config\RejectLoginWithoutDeviceTarget
Set to 1. This will prevent agents from accidentally logging in with their private line.
CAD will have no trouble using the extension the agent logged in with. Are you sure they are logging in with their CC line?
If you are having trouble placing a call, it could be your CUCM config for these lines. Check the Calling Search Space.

  • IPCC Enterprise / Two Call Manager Clusters

Let's say I have an IPCC Enterprise set up using  a call manager cluster, a progger server (has peripheral gateway, router, and logger), an HDS server, an IP-IVR, and a CAD server. Its up and running. Now let's say I have another call manager cluster and I'd like to have users on that cluster become call center agents connected to ICM in the IPCC Enterprise environment. Is this even possible? Can it done by the use of another peripheral gateway server used to connect the 2nd call manager cluster to the rogger and IP-IVR? Any feedback appreciated.

Now let's say I have another call manager cluster and I'd like to have users on that cluster become call center agents connected to ICM in the IPCC Enterprise environment. Is this even possible?
Of course it is possible. That's what it was designed to do.
There are some big ICMs out there with many peripheral gateways. The big ones have many TDM switches, but some have multiple Call Managers too. I don't personally know of any with more than mid-30s peripheral gateways, but I have heard that there are much bigger ones than that (I am thinking of the IRS).
Can it done by the use of another peripheral gateway server used to connect the 2nd call manager cluster to the rogger and IP-IVR? Any feedback appreciated.
    Yes.
One thing I'd like to check with you ... you say "a progger server" and you say "an HDS, an IP-IVR" etc.
Are there really just one of each of these? Normally there is a fault tolerant pair of proggers, two HDS for redundancy, two IP-IVR etc for redundancy. To extend the Enterprise system to another CUCM cluster one would add a PAIR of PGs.

  • IPCC Enterprise Script Storage

    Hello,
We have a Cisco IPCC Enterprise 7.5.7 and because of a replication problem we experiencing inbound script versioning.
Now, we have in our system an old version and we want to restore it.
Can anyone tell me where Enterprise scripts are stored and how I recover a particular version witch not appear in Script Editor?
    Thank you,
    Dan

Can anyone tell me where Enterprise scripts are stored and how I recover a particular version witch not appear in Script Editor?
Scripts are part of the configuration, like agents, call types etc. They are stored in the configuration tables on the logger - like Master_Script, Script, Script_Cross_Reference and Script_Data. They are replicated to the AWDB in the normal way configuration data is replicated.
As the responder said, if you cannot see the version you want in Script Explorer and it has been flushed (permanently deleted), then you are out of luck.
If you had exported the script as a .ICMS file and saved it somewhere - then you could reimport, and save as the latest version, assuming you can resolve the references. This is a bit of a long shot though - many customers don't do this.
If your system has been set up to delete scripts automatically and save (say) only the last 5 versions (in System Information), then I would change that. Some integrators configure this - I prefer to save all scripts and clean up irrelevant scripts manually. Then nothing worthwhile is lost. Of course, this is closing the stable door after the nag has well and truly bolted - but still worthwhile.

  • IPCC Enterprise and PeopleSoft CRM

Could somebody give me a hint how I can intergrate them - what I have to install and confugure in order both applications to talk each other.
We would like on incoming calls on agent desktops to show information about client and this information have to be retrieved from PeopleSoft CRM.
Do you have some check list or document how we could make integration between IPCC Enterprise and PeopleSoft CRM

  • IPCC Enterprise CAD Database Replication

    Hi all,
We have deployed IPCC Ent. with CAD.
We have recently noticed that there is a gap between the size of CAD Side-A FCRasSvr DB (170 MB) and the size of CAD Side-B FCRasSvr DB (5 MB).
FCRasSvr is the Real-time statistics DB.
We have also noticed that in CAD Side-A there is a publication but in CAD Side-B there is no subscription.
Does this mean that replication is not happening? How can we check this?
    Thanks.

    TAC gave these steps
    We also face this issue:
    - SQL Backup to the CAD database Publisher
2 - Disabling the replication between 2 servers
3 - Insulation  the 2 databases of the 2 sides
    4 - Reactivation of replication
after this we faced the issue of database size mismatch which was solved this way
This is a problem of SQL that generates the disappearance of the job SQL 'REPL-Merge'.
According to TAC, a first solution is to run the following action plan:
1 - Disable the replication of databases using the CAD tool and postInstall by logging in as local Administrator on the PG
2 - Enable the replication database using the CAD tool and postInstall by logging in as the local Administarteur PG
3 - Check that the SQL job REPL-Merge
4 - Check that the account used by the job REPL SQL-Merge is CADSQLAdminUser otherwise modify the job to use this account
5 - Make a daily check (for 5 days) to verify that the SQL job still exists REPL-Merge

  • Basic questions on Enterprise Services

    Hello,
I have a few open questions on the topic for myself and hope that you can help me to answer them:
    1) In my Systemlandscape I have several ECC 6.0 systems and a PI system. Now if I want to use a SAP standard webservice, let's say some of the customer fact sheet webservices.. what would be the procedure?
Would I need to identify which packages the content is in and then download these packages from SAP service marketplace? And has this to be done on PI side or on the backend side? Or both?
If I then want to use one of those standard webservices, e.g. "Find Customer Address Basic Data by Name and Address", where would the service call be directed to? To SAP PI or to the backend system?
    2) If I have a Webservice which should extract mass data, e.g. data about all customers - would this be a feasible web service scenario? Or a web services only used to extract single customers in general? I wonder about things like performance, timeouts, error handling, etc.
    3) Composition
What tool is at the moment used for composing web services? Is it some design tool on PI (BPM?) or is it rather Visual Composer on CE or even WebDynpro (ABAP or Java?)
I hope you can help me to clear up some of these questions.
    Best Regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    Answers to your questions:
Would I need to identify which packages the content is in and then download these packages from SAP service marketplace? And has this to be done on PI side or on the backend side? Or both?
You need to ensure that the content exists on both if you want to use SAP PI  to customize the SAP standard enterprise services & create proxies in the back-end (ECC). You could also just use the standard services as they come shipped from SAP, in that case you just need to ensure that the content exists in ECC.
If I then want to use one of those standard webservices, e.g. "Find Customer Address Basic Data by Name and Address", where would the service call be directed to? To SAP PI or to the backend system?
It depends how you set up your scenario. You could have the web service mediated through SAP PI or another ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) using different technology. In that case, the service call will be directed to SAP (or ESB) & then the back-end. You could also setup a point-to-point scenario where the service call is routed from the consumer straight to the back-end. Ultimately, the call has to reach the ECC back-end to process, what changes is what is put in betwwen the consumer & the ECC back-end.
If I have a Webservice which should extract mass data, e.g. data about all customers - would this be a feasible web service scenario? Or a web services only used to extract single customers in general? I wonder about things like performance, timeouts, error handling, etc.
I wouldn't recommend this kind of scenario when using web services. It would more relevant for maybe batch or asynchronous scenarios, also maybe mediated through SAP PI. All your concerns are valid.
What tool is at the moment used for composing web services? Is it some design tool on PI (BPM?) or is it rather Visual Composer on CE or even WebDynpro (ABAP or Java?)
This question isn't all that clear. For web services 'Composition' you can use the ESR (Enterprise Service Repository) that comes shipped with SAP PI or SAP CE. ccBPM in SAP PI is used for async messaging so that can't work for web services.
For 'Orchestration' of web services, SAP CE would be your preferred tool & you could also use Netweaver BPM that comes with CE to orchestrate several web service calls for a specific business process. This doesn't stop you from using anything else (like Java for example) to do your orchestration but you want the flexibility of being able to change a business process on the fly & SAP CE with BPM provides this.

  • Multi-master replication questions for iPlanet 5.0, gurus out there?

    hi:
I'm using iPlanet Dir Server 5.0 and I note that many gurus out there has
    been able
to get this to work, that's good, but I have yet to. I have several
    questions, maybe
someone can spend a few minutes and save me hours...
I have a suffix called dc=calient,dc=net. I followed the suggestions in
    the
iPlanet install guide and created 2 directory servers
    a) suffix o=NetscapeRoot, at some arbitrary port, 4601
    b) suffix dc=calient,dc=net, at the usual port 389.
All my searches/create/delete work fine. However, when I try to replicate
with multi-master between 2 machines, I keep getting into problems.
    Here's one set of questions...
Q1: do people out there really split their tree from the o=NetscapeRoot
    tree?
Q2: The admin guide says the the unit of replication is a database, and
that each replication can only have 1 suffix. Is this true? Can
a replicated db have more than 1 suffix?
Q3: If I also want to replicate the o=NetscapeRoot tree, I have to set
up yet 2 more replication agreements. Isn't this more work? If
I just lump the 2 suffixes together, wouldn't it be easier? But would
    it work?
Q4: I followed the instructions to enable replicas on the masters.
But then I tried to create this cn=Replication Manager, cn=config
    object.
But what is the object class of this entry? An iPlanet user has uid
as its RDN... I tried a person object class, and I added a password.
But then I keep getting error code 32, object not found in the error
    log. What gives? such as
    WARNING: 'get_entry' can't find entry 'cn=replication
    manager,cn=config', err 32
Q5: Also, are there any access control issues with this cn=Replication
    Manager,
cn=config object? By this I mean, I cannot seem to see this object
    using
ldapsearch, I can only see cn=SNMP, cn=config. Also, do I have
to give all access via aci to my suffix dc=calient,dc=net? Also,
given the fact that my o=NetscapeRoot tree is at a different port (say
    4601),
not 389, could this be an issue?
Q6: when replication fails, should the Dir Server still come up? Mine does
    not anymore
which is strange. I keep getting things like this in my log file
[08/Nov/2001:21:49:13 -0800] NSMMReplicationPlugin - Could not send consumer
    mufasa.chromisys.com:389 the bind request
[08/Nov/2001:21:49:13 -0800] NSMMReplicationPlugin - Failed to connect to
    replication consumer mufasa.chromisys.com:389
But why shouldn't the dir server itself come up even if replication
    fails?
    steve

    Hi Steve,
First, please read the 'Deployment Guide'. I think that is easier to
understand when you want to setup multi-master replication. The
'Administrator's Guide' gives you step-by-step instructions, but it may
not help you to understand how to design your directory services.

The one holding 'o=NetscapeRoot' or the one holding 'dc=calient,dc=net'?
Do you want to setup replication between these two instances of the
directory server (i.e. between port 4601 and 389 in your example)?
Q1: do people out there really split their tree from the o=NetscapeRoot
tree?If you have multiple directory servers installed in your environment, it
is probably worth dedicating (at least) one directory server for the
    o=netscaperoot tree.
Q2: The admin guide says the the unit of replication is a database, and
that each replication can only have 1 suffix. Is this true? Can
a replicated db have more than 1 suffix?Well, it is normal, since in iDS 5.x you have 1 suffix per database.
You can, however, replicate multiple databases.
Q3: If I also want to replicate the o=NetscapeRoot tree, I have to set
up yet 2 more replication agreements. Isn't this more work? If
I just lump the 2 suffixes together, wouldn't it be easier? But would
it work? You can't lump the 2 suffixes together, because each backend has 1
    suffix associated with.
Q4: I followed the instructions to enable replicas on the masters.
But then I tried to create this cn=Replication Manager, cn=config
    object.
But what is the object class of this entry?Usually, it is organizationalperson or inetorgperson. In most of the
cases you want an objectclass which can have userPassword attribute.
    An iPlanet user has uid
as its RDN... I tried a person object class, and I added a password.
But then I keep getting error code 32, object not found in the error
log. What gives? such asYou must have misconfigured something. Or perhaps, it is not
    cn=replication manager, cn=config, but 'uid=replication manager,cn=config'
Q5: Also, are there any access control issues with this cn=Replication
    Manager,
cn=config object? By this I mean, I cannot seem to see this object
    using
ldapsearch, I can only see cn=SNMP, cn=config. The configuration tree is protected by ACIs, so you can not see them
using anonymous BINDs. Try binding as 'directory manager' and you will
    find your entry.
    Also, do I have
to give all access via aci to my suffix dc=calient,dc=net? For what purpose? For replication, it is enough to set user DN in the
replication agreement and this user can update the replicated backend.
Q6: when replication fails, should the Dir Server still come up?Yes.

  • Bi-directional replication question..

    I configured database A & database B for two-way replication.
Basically, I configured from A to B without any problem, before runs "Start_Capture", I export & import the tables with rows=n.
Question is, Now I need to configure from B to A. Do I need to export from B and import to A with rows=n before running "Start_Capture" on B? or just simply runs "Start_Capture" on B?? thanks..

You can do this on B for instantiating table on A
    DECLARE iscn NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    iscn := DBMS_FLASHBACK.GET_SYSTEM_CHANGE_NUMBER();
    DBMS_APPLY_ADM.SET_TABLE_INSTANTIATION_SCN@A(
    source_object_name => 'schema.table',
    source_database_name => 'B',
    instantiation_scn => iscn);
    END;
    BEGIN
    DBMS_CAPTURE_ADM.PREPARE_TABLE_INSTANTIATION(table_name => 'schema.table');
    END;

  • Lame question about Enterprise vs. regular java

    ok,
up until now my company has had no need for the Enterprise features, but now we are starting to look to the future and it seems we are going to need a bit of its functionality.
My question is: does Enterprise require a licensing fee for commercial use? Is there any licensing fee at all? what kind of situations is it required in? i googled it and couldn't get a straight answer. thanks.

    pnandrus wrote:
buzzword fever. i figured someone would suggest that.
actually, its not buzzword fever. its just that my company uses a client-server model with a heavy
application that resides on the actual ws, but communicates with an app server and a scheduler.
We have some monthly processes that need to be distributed to different app servers from a single server
. I have been writing POJO for 4 years, so i'm just learning about this stuff. However, i felt that i could use EJB in a container to communicate between app servers more easily than trying to implement it using POJO (if that's even possible), or using JNI. I'm new to this, so i was trying to use as little vocab as
possible for fear of being mocked. Good idea.
I don't see how EJB helps you out here.
Anyways, is this an appropriate use of EJB? I'll basically want to be able to start this app up on an app
server, then call methods remotely on other servers that will start the given processes on those machines.
I will add more functionality later. Isn't that an EJB-worthy task? maybe i'm way off....I believe you can do it without EJB.
Curious again - what is your understanding of EJBs, and how do they help you?
SLSB, SFSB, MDB, and entity EBJs - which of the four is appropriate here, in your opinion?

  • Hyper-V Replication Question

    Hello,
I just completed watching some YouTube videos and reading some helpful websites but still had a quick question. I have a .110 network in LocationA and a .60 network in LocationB.
Both locations use static IP addresses. I can ping both locations from each other. If I want to replicate a VM from the .110 network or LocationA to the .60 network which is LocationB would this be possible since both locations have different networks? If
I want to replicate from the .110 network, would my .110 network settings on the VM still be configured on the VM in the .60 network? If this is the case then when I turned on the replicated VM it would not be able to join the network without modifying the
NIC settings. I was hoping someone could explain this process a little better or more in-depth so I have an idea of what I'm doing.
On a different note as long as your two host servers are Server 2012 R2, can you replicate Server 2003 and Server 2008 systems or is it only for 2012 R2 VMs? Any and
all information is helpful. Thank you!
    Pat

    Hello Pgrantland,
I was checking some documents about this wonderful feature and I found this:
2.3 To enable replication for a virtual machine
    9. A dialog box appears indicating that replication was successfully enabled. In this dialog, click the Settings button
and provide settings to configure the network that the virtual machine will connect to on the Replica server. The Replica virtual machine does not automatically connect to any network on the Replica server (after a failover) by default,
so these settings are important. You can configure the network settings so that the virtual machine will connect to a different network after a failover to the Replica server than it used when it was on the primary server.
    Step 2: Enable Replication
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/d5d9e9f2-0f21-4d82-aa90-45e194de5ac9#BKMK_2_3
These steps are configured before you finish the wizard to enable Hyper-V replica on a VM.
Regarding the other question as far as I know a VM is just a VM from the Hyper-V side, the replica does not look what OS you are running.
The only thing is that if you a re planing a VM to be replicated check that the hardware elements configured on the settings of you VM are able to be replicated.
There are scenarios on which hardware configured on a VM makes that the VM is not supported for replica and you cannot replicated as long as those elements are configured on the VM.
For example "Fibber Channel adapter" (Virtual SAN) and "Virtual hard disk sharing" are not supported to replicate.
Hope this information help you to reach your goal. :D

  • Geo Replication question?

I have a quick question about geo replication, is it possible to use the same DataCenter or it has to be a different DC when we set up Active Geo Replication for the Azure DB?

Yes, you can choose the same region as the source database. I verified the scenario on my personal account.

  • Need to open CAD files - SAP Visual Enterprise Generator

    Hi Experts,
We have got a requirement where they should be able to open CAD files in SAP (i.e SAP ECC6.0 EHP6).
Can this is acheived with SAP Visual Enterprise Generator ?
If yes, kindly suggest if it comes as an ABAP Add-on that can be deployed or a Business Function which can be activated to enable this functionality ?
    Many Thanks in Advance !!!
    Regards,
    Srikanth G

    Hi Fergal,
    Thanks for the quick response..
As per the Installation Guide we understand that SAP VEG is another standalone component that has to be installed(correct me if am wrong) in another WIN machine. But we are actually looking out for something like the below where in one of our IDES system we are able to view CAD files stored in DMS in a SAP Transaction (cv04n):
In SPRO we could see some options for VEG in our IDES system.
We need the same in our actual project ECC system
The above can be achieved only after SAP VEG 7.1 installation only ? Or is it something which is already a part of ECC6.0 EHP6 that needs to be activated?
    Thanks !!!

    Hi,
I suspect that the normal purging process on the hds is deleting the data in the agent logout table on the hds. This is how it works :
    1. every day, it will purge the oldest data in every table based on what you configured. You can for each table say how long you want the data to be available (for example 100 days). It will purge every day the data older then the configured value. This can be different for every table.
    2. There is an additional process that will check the size of the complete database. If it's full for 80% or more, it will starts deleting data as follows :
. go to the first table and delete X amount of data from the table . if size of the db is still more then 80% full, go to next table and do the same again as in previous step
This process stops when the db is less then 80% full. If at a later stage it hits the 80% again, the process will start all over. It will start again with the first table etc. So, if this happens a couple of times, a lot of data from the first tables in the database will be deleted and nothing from the last tables (alphabetical).
Now, how can you prevent this? There are of course 2 ways to do this :
. make sure your hds database is big enough to keep all data you want.
. make sure that the database is never over 80% full. You can make sure this is the case by purging enough data from all tables every day. So, you need to configure point 1 above so that for every table only X amount of days is kept. I see that you want to keep the agent logout data for 3 years. I don't know how you configured the other tables but if you want to keep all of them for 3 years you need a pretty big database. To confirm the number of days configured in system, pls check below keys in Registry of Logger and HDS.
    From the logger :
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco
    Systems,Inc.\ICM\Customer_Instance\LoggerX\Recovery\CurrentVersion\Purge\Retain\Agent\Logout
    From the HDS :
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco

There is a tool which you can use to estimate how big your database should be if you want to keep X amount of days of data in table Y. You find this in icmdba tool (start > run > icmdba). Right click on your database and choose 'estimate'.
If needed, you can increase the size of your database. Please follow the procedures on this link to do so :

  • Employee and Org Unit BP Replication Question - how to stop replication

    Hi,
We are replicating business partners using BUPA_MAIN for IS_U Scenario.  This is working fine from R/3 to CRM, and changes are replicating back properly (CRM to R/3).  We have a filter on BUPA_MAIN  for the business partners in a particular number range that we want replicating back and forth.
We are also using an ALE scenario from HR to CRM and this seems to be correctly creating our Org Unit BP's and Employee BP's in a specific number range.
Our problem is that we are seeing failed bdoc's in SMW01 when the system creates new bp's in the Org Unit and Employee Role.  The error is because we have not set up corresponding number range in R/3.  We have not set this number range up in R/3 because we do not want these types of BP's to replicate back to R/3.  Why are these types of BP's trying to replicate back to R/3 when we have a filter on BUPA_MAIN that does not include these number ranges?  Is there something else we need to set somewhere so that these types of BP's will not try to replicate back to R/3?
    Thanks,
    Pam Cirssman

    Hi
first u need to do the filter settings in object BUPA_MAIN to stop the employee replication to R3.
When u create the no. ranges in r3 u can remove the filter so that the process will continue.
