CAD to show as currency in documents in Canadian dollar

Hi Experts,
I have a client who needs the marketing documents to show CAD as the Currency code in documents and not CAN. (Why is this currency code not the same as the ISO code?)
I have tried to deleted this Currency and create a new one but to remove the CAN currency proved difficult. Another tread suggested that it is not a good idea to delete a currency.
Now, I want to know if there is a way to display the ISO currency code (which is CAD) and not the currency code (which is CAN)? Is there an easier way than changing the PLD?
Thanks,
Marli

Hi Marli,
If the database is new, you can create a new currency as CAD and delete the existing CAN.
Thanks,
Gordon

  • Document Currency - What controls it???  MB51 shows Canadian dollars not US

There are two plants in my company that use a material from Canada, and we are are both in continental US.  Both plants have purchase orders set up with Canadian dollars to the same vendor.  The material is supplier-owned.
    For my plant:
If I run MB51 for that material, the amount shown in the local currency column is not the same as my current released standard cost extended by the document quantity.  If I drill into the document, then click the "FI Documents", then double click on "Accounting Documents" the document overview shows Canadian dollars.
    For my sister plant:
If I run MB51 for that material, the amount shown in the local currency column is equal to their current released standard cost extended by the document quantity.  If I drill into the document, then click the "FI Documents", then double click on "Accounting Documents" the document overview shows US dollars.
My plant uses direct goods issue, and my sister plant uses backflush method.  Is that the difference?
    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply....
Yes, we use the same company code.  All our stock value is USD.
The PO's for both my plant and my sister plant are in CAD.
The material is on consignment from vendor (same vendor) at both plants.
What doesn't make sense to me is that my document currency is CAD, but their document curency is USD.  The movement types for both plants are 261.   The only difference is they backflush and we use direct goods issue.
If document currency is controlled by PO, why is their document currency in USD?

  • Report to show different currencies

    Dear Experts,
Currently my report shows value in local currency.
In my report I need to show the PO Value, GR Value etc in local, order and group currency. While investigating the underline Cube and DSO's, I find the following:
    1. There is no 0Curtype object in the DSO or corresponding values coming from Datasources.
    2. Each record has an Exchange Rate attached to it.
    3. All the PO values are converted to local currency. Say a PO is ordered in CAD and the local currency is USD. Now in the transformation the PO Value is converted to local currency using the program PERFORM LOC_CURR_CONVERT which uses the Process Keys, Order_Val, Doc_Date, Order_Curr, Loc_Curr, Exchg_Rate.
    4. This is done for other key figures too.
    Questions:
    1. Which the best way to approach this requirement and how to achieve the objective of showing the report in local, order and group currency? Do I need to make changes in the design if the cube, dso or only at report level and how? pls provide detail steps.
    2. In the DSO or Cube's I do not see any Group Currency mentioned? What is Group Currency and how do I achieve it?
    Thanks,
    Jainu

    Hi Jainu
There is no need to change the Cube or DSO's design. Firstly Group currency is usually the global reporting currency used by your client. Usually it is USD if your client is based out of North America. Secondly you need to define different currency conversion types. For that go to RSCUR transaction and define a currency translation type.
    - It can be AS02 (Month Average Rate) or AS01(Month End FX Rate) or M (Daily exchange rate) type based on your requirement.
    - These values will be available in the TCURR table in your system and will be transferred from SAP R/3 to your BI system.
    - In the Currency Translation type definition choose Exchange Rate type in the exchange Rate tab.
    - In the currency tab choose "Source currency from Data Record, Target urrency as "Fixed Target Currency" and choose USD in the F4 help.
In the Time Ref tab choose Fixed Time Ref and Current Date.
Activate and move this translation type from Dev to Production in a transport. In order to do a currency conversion using this translation type in your query, choose your key figure and in the conversions tab, choose the conversion type and the Target Currency will automatically get populated as USD. When you run this query after these settings it will return your key figure values in USD. Remember that in the TCUR table your conversions should be maintained for all currencies to USD for this to happen and your READ_EXCHANGE_RATE function module should be defined.
This is a generic approach and does not need any cube or DSO change.

  • Hello Apple community... I am trying to combine multiple pdf's into one, using preview, but when I drag the additional pages they show up as separate documents.

I am trying to combine multiple pdf's into one, using preview, but when I drag the additional pages they show up as separate documents.  When I drag the doc in a line would show up in the past, and if I went above th eline all was good.  It doesn't have a line, and no matter what I try I am having no success.
    Please help!

According to an Apple Support article, unless there are unforeseen issues

  • SEARCH RESULTS NOT SHOWING THE NAME OF DOCUMENT

When I search for a document on the top level, the results in my case are relevant but they do not display the document name, meaning I have to go into the document to check if it is the one I'm looking for. For some reason the name of the file is displayed
in results as the first line of the document. I use a document template for letters meaning that the search results gives as list of documents that all have the same name displayed. This renders the search function almost useless as all the results are showing
the same name. Is there a way to change the results page to display the name of the document??

    Hi,
Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to show search results by document name instead of the Title.
Here are two links about how to show document name in search results, you can use as a reference:

  • Local Currency vs Document currency

    Hi,
    I have a question,
what is the difference b/w Local Currency and Document Currency.
    Thanks,
    Pria

    HI Pria...
Local currencey is Company specific...for different companies there will be different local currency...
Document currency is related to FI...Currency in which a document is posted........
And as per SD.....Currency in which the total values in a sales and distribution document are calculated.
    As per BI....
In SAP systems, every amount key figure is stored with respect to a currency key field. There are several
types of currency keys on OLTP data. The two most important currency types are the document (or
transaction) currency (BI InfoObject 0DOC_CURRCY) and the local (or company code) currency (BI
InfoObject 0LOC_CURRCY. The document currency is entered for each posting transaction of an OLTP
document-type record (for example financial documents), whereas the local currency is uniquely assigned to a company code when the OLTP system is customized.
So, the local currency can be used as a common currency for cross-application BI reporting (that is a
common reporting currency). Besides the document currency, every record within the final InfoProviders of the BI system should contain the local currency and the corresponding amounts with respect to the local currency.

  • ICR - Currency of document group in assigned documents

I have read all threads on ICR and thanks to you have been successful in configuration for Process 003. However, the currency of document group = EUR. Both co codes local currency = USD, as well as transaction and group currency. From whence is the EUR?

  • F380. When printing the first time, the preview image shows the same old document

I have a HP Deskjet F380 All In One. The OS of my laptop is Windows Vista, provided with the latest updates. When after starting the laptop, a first print order should be executed, after pressing the PRINT button, the preview window shows not the concerned document, but a very old one. The printing order will be corrected finished, however the old document preview remains somewhere. I am looking for a way how to remove that old document from the preview.

Some of the troubles with printing could be addressed in the system update:
    •Mac OS X 10.6.8 Combo Update v1.1
    http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1399
{Usually if there were printer drivers (often are) for all of the main brands
of printers, these Combo updates included them; plus later or more
    recent versions of these, are available from the maker's support site.}
I'm a bit curious if you'd tried a second-user account to see if (once set up
from scratch) that would give you some other information on how to go in
and re-set your main user account's print settings.
Some basic system issues can be resolved by simple things, such as in
the use of Disk Utility's 'repair disk permissions' that can affect almost all
things a user can do in the system.

[About old MacBooks, I can see by the OS X version that it could be
almost any MB prior to 2010 that could run Snow Leopard. My old
MacBook1.1 (coreduo, first edition MB 2006) can run it, but isn't.]
Been several years since I used an HP all-in-one, it worked OK until one
    day it would not print. It pretended to print, the heads went back & forth;
but no ink came out. New cartridges, almost new HP device; checked
drivers (got newest) and as the unit was new-old-stock, the warranty was
gone in short order. A relative bought it ahead of need; clock was ticking.
So my current AIO is an Epson, bought it new at 55% off. Even has a
real phone modem for the fax. And it does OK prints. Not as good as
my older Epson photo printer, whose inks are harder to find now.
Anyway, hopefully you could fine the helpful paper usually included with
the HP printers, a quick reference set-up guide; they have Mac info, too.

  • Amount in Local Currency of documents of material  (mov 251)

    Hello Gurus,
We have a problem in the Amount in Local Currency of documents of material  (mov 251), resulting from the idoc WPUUMS01. When is the posting date before the current period.
    example:
    Material X
    August  Moving Price  150u20AC >>Total Stock 10 Total Value1500u20AC
September Moving Price  181.82u20AC >> Total Stock 11 Total Value 2000u20AC
If we integrate an August sale, the system registers the document with the cost of September (Amount Local Currency 181.82u20AC).
After registration of the document is the stock with the following values
    August Total Stock 9 >>Total Value 1318,19u20AC
September Total Stock 9 >> Total Value 1636,36u20AC
If we manually register the movement 251 by MIGO or MB11  with a date of August, the system records the cost value of 150u20AC (MAP August).
    Any suggestion?
    Regards,
    Vera Monteiro

  • Difference between transaction currency and document currency.

    Hi All,
Would like to know the difference between transaction currency and document currency. If we want to draw both the figures from the GL account, which table can i use?
    Thanks,
    Mercy

    Hey,
Having transaction currency and document curreny in one document would be strange.
Document currency is something you would see in a FI document, whereas transaction currency is part of a CO document.
In finance documents you would talk about document currenty and local currency for instance.
In CO documents, the currency field you can find are transaction currency, object currency en controlling area currency.
In most cases the document currency in FI would be considered the transaction currency in CO.  The local currency in FI would be the object currency in CO.
    Hope this helps,
    Koen
