1. Did you install Premiere Elements 12 Mac to the default location as per the installation?
2. Was this an installation from installation files or from installation disc?
I am thinking now in terms of uninstall, ccleaner run through to get rid of any leftovers from incomplete installs and/or reinstalls.

and then a reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
But, before you do that, try the deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file first.
We will be watching for your results and then we can decide what next based on your results.
Thank you.

If you are using Firefox 3.6.6 version, open Tools > Options >> Advanced - Network
The under Connections hit the Settings button - then select '''No proxy''' at the top of those settings. Restart Firefox and you should be all set.
''(3.6.6 added a new setting there - Use system proxy settings and sets that as the Default setting)''

  • Can I fix CAHeadless has encountered an error ?

I have recently started getting CAHeadless has encountered an error. Any suggestions?

  • Adobe Media Encoder (CS5) has encountered an error (WinFile.cpp-759)

I have a 714 MB Xvid file that I want to split into smaller pieces. I have gone successfully through a similar process earlier with a larger Xvid file using the same version of Adobe Media Encoder (CS5). It appears that no matter which output video format I choose, the process crashes with the following error message shown in a new pop-up dialog:
"Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an error. [..\..\Src\Win\WinFile.cpp-759].
(Even the source program file line number 759 in the above error message is always the same, regardless of my chosen output file format.)
The only option available from this point onwards is the "Continue" button. When I click Continue the program terminates with the Windows program crash message "Adobe Media Encoder CS5 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. <Debug> / <Close program>"
My search for other similar problem reports revealed that some user(s) has/have experienced a very similar problem in CS4, but the source line number was slightly different in CS4. Both problems are probably caused by the same error in Adobe's software. The small difference in source line numbers is probably due to some (minor) and probably unrelated changes to this C++ source module (WinFile.cpp).
It might of course be the case that this particular input video file has some rare encoding or other embedded problem. However, the fact that I can view the video without problems using Windows Media Player does not support this theory.
Apart from this message board I could not find any other avenue to report this bug to Adobe (without paying for support - which I am obviously not going to do as this is clearly a programming bug in the software). Hopefully some Adobe developer responsible for Media Encoder maintenance will read this forum from time to time and would subsequently inspect the source module for any obvious defects. I could supply the source video file with which this problem can be reproduced at will.

CS4 Adobe Media Encoder & FMLE are two different softwares - you can post your query here:http://forums.adobe.com/community/ame

OK, I've reported the bug in the linked location. However, I had to use "Creative Suite" as the application, because "Adobe Media Encoder" was not an available option.

  • Premiere elements has encountered an error (preferences.cpp-353)

Hi guys, trying to get Adobe premiere elements working on a windows domain, will only run for local administrator, logged onto machine locally, not even a full domain administrator.
    Any ideas?
Any help would be very very appreciated.

    Hi ATR,
I really appreciate you taking the time to reply, sorry for the lack of info in my previous message was pulling hairs out when i wrote that!! I really do appreciate any help you could give with this at all.
Here are the answers to those questions.
    1. What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
It is the latest version of Premiere Elements 13, we are trying to get it to install on Win 7 32bit.
    2. Are you running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges and have you applied Run As
Administrator to the program's desktop icon?
They are domain based machines, if you log on as local administrator on the machine the software will run, but if you log on as a domain user or even full domain admin it still doesn't load properly we get the error "Premiere Elements has encountered an error. [..\..\Src\Core\Preferences.cpp -353]
    3. Is this a "it worked before but not now" or "it never worked before" issue?
It is new software we have never ran on our network before.
    4. Have you deleted the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file or the whole Folder in which it exists?
I did a search of the entire C drive of the machines for the preferences file and couldn't find it to try deleting it.
    5. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
Yes i have tried installing the new version of quicktime on the machines, even though the version we already had installed met the recommendations.
    6. Does the problem exist with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Firewall is disabled across the domain, i've tried disabling the AV and it didn't make any difference.
    7. Are you using the program with a mouse or one of those pen and tablet devices?
Just a normal mouse and keyboard.

  • Premiere Elements has encountered an error (Preferences.cpp-347)

    Hi all
System: Windows 7 x64, Adobe Premier Elements 12.0
We are getting the following error when attempting to start a new project under one specific user.
Premiere Elements has encountered an error [..\..\Src\Core\Preferences.cpp-347]
I have read in other threads network installations can cause this.
This is a network installations and we do redirect my documents to a network drive.
I have tested this under Administrator and test accounts where my documents were not redirected and it started a new project fine.
Other threads have mentioned that there is a possible fix and to contact customer support. I have tried to do this by logging in to this Adobe account but the only option was to Ask the Community.
Has anybody been provided with the solution to this?
I have tried the following but to no avail:
    -deleting the preferences file
    -deleting the 12.0 folder
-adding access rights of the user to all adobe premiere related folders
-looking through the registry for elements related entries and looking for related paths
    Thanks in advance

I have searched the net for trying to find a solution but cant find any. Im sure Adobe must find a solution to this problem.

  • Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an error WinFile.cpp-785

    Hello,
I am trying to convert videos to mp4 (h264) for my ipad.
27 tv shows from a DVD rip, all the exact same codecs, frame size, sample rate, fps, just varying a little in duration (and of course then, size 358mb-360mb).
At the time there was no iOS, so used xvid for good file size.  Now I must update them all.
6 videos did convert, all 21 others failed with the error message in title.
There is no pattern in the 6 that worked and the 21 that failed, order they ran, file size, file name size, anything.
The encoding fails at different times as well, 1 minute, 4 minutes, but usually quickly
    Source videos all have:
    XViD MPEG-4 Codec 512x384 25fps
    MPEG audio mpga 128kb/s 48khz
    Destination files are:
    H.264
    NTSC, 512x384 24fps Progressive
    AAC, 192kbps 48kHz, Stereo
    VBR, 1 Pass, Target 1.58, Max 5.11Mbps
I do see that the audio is encoding higher than source, but why wouldn't all videos fail?
Will try to lower the audio and see if that helps any.
I did try the lower audio setting, and still failed with 785.
Second, on a failure, is there anyway to have AME continue on an error instead of wait for me to press continue?

Video Edit Components for Adobe Premiere Pro CC(Windows版) にてAVCHD書き出しを行うと以下のエラーExporter_Accessors.cpp-211 cpp-211して
    書き出しができません

    mityhekinanさん、こんにちは。
Video Edit Components for Adobe Premiere Pro CC、SONY
