Cal reminders coming from different email account?

When I create an event in calendar, the reminder comes from a different email account, my work email account. First, I never linked Cal to my work account which is strange. Secondly, I have no idea why it sends reminders to my personal email. This started happening after I updated to Yosemite.

I have my email account with different email servers like Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Ymail etc.... If any one of my friend send me email then he mark copy of his email to all of my email addresses. Like this I get more than 5 emails from his side In my Unified folder.
Is there any possibility that in case if I receive same emails to my different email addresses then it shows only one email of my default email account or I compact all emails together.

  • Sorting mail into different mailboxes from different email accounts

I have my work email account and my private account. I don't want my emails to be mixed into the same inbox. How do I have Mail know that when the email is sent to my work email it sorts it to a different "work" inbox and the same for personal things? What do I need to do so that I can keep those email accounts seperate?

    Hi Ryan
Actually, you do have separate Inboxes, although Mail is very good at convincing you that you don't. In the main Mail window, click the triangle to the left of the Inbox. It should expand into your various account inboxes, which you can click on individually to show the inbox for that account only.

  • Store notes from different email accounts?

I have my .Mac/iCloud account and two others thru other ISPs and both are IMAP and I see I can select to have notes show in the Inbox -- I would like to store the Notes in the iCloud box but not have them show up in my email inboxes...I want to be sure of how I'm setting up the Account preferences == How do I make sure [1] all my notes sync across all devices and accounts [I would think it'd be done by making sure all notes are saved to iCloud account but I'm not sure how to do that] and [2] try not to have duplicate notes = I do sync my various iOS devices etc. but don't think I have it set up to duplicate notes.  I want to be sure.  Thanks.

  • How can i set up different rings/tones for incoming emails for different email accounts?

HI, I would like to be able to hear different rings/tones for emails coming from different email accounts. Eg, One sound for incoming email from gmail and another sound for incoming e-mail from Yahoo.
    Thanks!

" Is there a possibility to set up different ringtones for each of the emails separately? "
No.  Maybe with ios 6 this fall.
"Also would there also be an option for high priority emails to have a different ringtone as well?"
No.  Maybe with ios 6 this fall.

  • Multiple addresses on 1 computer - putting email in folder of different email account?

I am transitioning to a new MBP next week. I am getting a SSD, smaller than my HDD now, which means I need to work on freeing up some space.  There is plenty of junk (apps I never use, etc) on my computer to be freed up. (I'm also planning to use an external harddrive more often for more files.) The big thing that I want to do is organize my email box.
I currently have 3 emails going into my Mail application. a .mac and 2 gmail accounts.  I did a bad job managing my emails as they came in, I currently have about 7500 in my inbox so there are a lot that can be deleted and more that need to be organized.
I use my email addresses for different purposes, but, for example, my family switches between them depending on what their computer comes up with first when sending me emails.
My question is this...    If I want to put all of their emails together in a folder, for example on icloud... can I do this even though they are from different email accounts?
I know it is possible, but, for example, if I put a gmail email into my icloud account, does it dissapear from my gmail and become a .mac email?
When I transfer to my new computer and have to redownload my email accounts, will all my hard work of organizing into folders be lost because a gmail is going to move back to gmail and out of my icloud folder?
(Secondary question... Mail keeps reasking me for my gmail password, but won't accept it when I put it in. I know it is correct. What I've looked up online is that I need to delete the account and recreate in mail. I assume that and foldering that I make will not stick if I am moving stuff when I am not linked to the gmail server!? I suppose I should do the deleting and relinking before I go to organizational crazy.)

despite suggestions from the well meaning but ignorant, Thunderbird can have large folders. My inbox has some 17,700 messages in it. The folder that holds mail from this forum had over 30,000 messages.
What Thunderbird can not tolerate, nor should it have to, is having anti virus programs scanning it's files while it is trying to use them. Usually resulting in a corrupt index (what your seeing most likely.) In the case of Norton, Symantec are unrepentant and rather proud of the fact that their anti virus will quarantine everything in your inbox if they find a virus or anti sort, even in a deleted mail. Their product is also just plain intrusive and aggressive, not bad when it does not really scan incoming mail.
Create an exception in Nortons for your Thunderbird profile folders.
There is a link [https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Antivirus_Related_Performance_Issues#Norton_Security here ]to both the mail scanning and Nortons instructions for creating Sonar exemptions

  • My iPhone is sending text messages from my email account

I just did the new iOs 6 update on my iphone and now when i send text messages they show up as coming from my email account rather than from my phone.  Is there a way to change this?

Go to settings/messages and make sure you have send as SMS turned on.  Then in send & receive make  sure your phone number appears there.  When sending messages while you are connected by wifi it will go view imessage

  • When I email myself a picture from my iphone 4s, the email is sent from an email account that I don't have set up as the default account. How can I set it up so that the emails are coming from the default account selected in Mail?

Under my mail tab, it shows that I have a specific email account set up as a default account. That is the account I would like for me emails to be sent from. But when I actually send out an email such as a picture, it is being sent from one of my different email accounts that is not set up as the default. How can I change this so that future messages will be sent from the default account? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

All photo attachments received or sent with the iPhone's Mail app appear inline or viewed in place within the body of the message when viewed with the iPhone's Mail app which is the same with the Mail.app on a Mac. A photo attachment that appears inline or viewed in place does not mean the photo was not sent as a true attachment to the message. A photo attached to a message with the iPhone's Mail app is sent as a true attachment to the message. How an inline or viewed in place attachment appears on the recipient's end depends on the recipient's email client. If the recipient's email client does not support viewing an attached photo inline or viewed in place within the body of the message, the attached file must be manually selected and opened to viewed.
I am getting the email with the Picture Inline ( not as attachment),The picture is shown distorted , no metter what i do and with what mail client i am using (Gmail\Hotmail\My Enterprise exchange mail), i still get the same behavior.
    With which email client?

  • ICal Alerts Coming From Wrong Email Address

I'm on OSX 10.8.2 on an iMac.
I have about 10 different email accounts in Mail.
I also have an Address Book card set to myself, designated properly as me, with two of these 10 emails listed in the card for me.
In iCal, one of my calendars is a Google calendar synch ... I get invites that are imported into Google Calendar, and these in turn get synched with iCal.
Problem I'm having is this... when a Google Calendar entry is set to alert me by email, the email GOES to the right place, but it shows as coming FROM one of my many other email addresses I have in Mail, and I don't understand why.
So again, I receive the email alert at the right place -- the problem is who the email alert is coming FROM.
As my Address Book entry is correct, I don't see how I can control this.  In Mail, when I compose new messages normally it's set to choose the email address automatically of the inbox I'm composing the message from.  So, I don't want to set the default here to any one specific email address.  Could this be causing the issue?

I was having trouble setting the default email account in the mail app. Even moving it to the top didn't seem to work. Finally got it working by doing this:
If an account mailbox is at the top, but the account is not the default, drag it down and then back up to the top. This will reset the order and establish the top one as the default.

I have two separate itune accounts under two different email accounts and would like to combine them under one account.  Is this possible and if so, how do I do it?

If you go to Settings > iTunes & AppStore , you can sign out from your account, and sign in with the one you've used to purchase apps. This will not remove any apps you already have on it.
Then you can go to AppStore and download apps you've purchased (either via "Purchased" button in "Updates", or simply search for them and download them.
That way you can have multiple accounts' apps on your iPad. When updating, you will be prompted for the credentials for account you've purchased given App with.

  • ?How do I Remove RSS Feeds from my Email account?

I set up some RSS feeds in my mac email account?
Please don't tell me to "right-click" my mouse because I am using a macbook and I have no mouse, just the track-pad and right-clicking it does nothing different than left-clicking it. Or for that matter, than standing on my head and singing Celine Dion. Other than annoying my girlfriend.
I have tried setting my preferences to manual update, even to making Safari the default RSS reader but I can't remove the feeds themselves from the email account.
I have a Macbook, use Safari, Leopard, OS X 10.5 if that helps.
    Thanks in advance,
    Keith

Dude, first the right-click thing... You can achieve the equivalent by holding down the control key and clicking -- you'll see a contextual menu pop up. Cool, huh?
Now, control-click on that unwanted RSS feed and choose delete feed. Happy day!
