I want to be able to use my BT email calendar so that it syncs with outlook and appears on my Android phone. Can someone please advise how I should set this up? Emails sync two way on both outlook and phone but not calendar.

It's not quite straightforward to sync the BT Calendar actively, i.e. a continuous synchronisation, but some say it's possible.
Which version of Outlook are you using?
Is it Outlook.com, or MS Office Outlook?
For android, there's a Play store application - outlook.com, and they state very clearly that the calendar sync can be done.
You have to setup an account, as you would with Office 365, and then you can sync between PC (outlook.com, not necessarily the BT Calendar) and Android. (I have Word and Excel on an iPad, using this account, but it's not trouble free!, so don't expect miracles from the calendar.)
It may be possible to sync calendars between MS Office Outlook and Android, but I'm not sure.

Entourage, gmail, calander and syncing with a blackberry

HI all, i have a few questions here, that maybe someone could answer most of them, the blackberry one maybe not.
I use entourage on my imac to get my email from my pop server. i have recently migrated from a regular pop server to gmail, which has imap capabilities. I have managed to get entourage to sync up with my gmail account, and finally gotten my blackberry to also get gmail emails.
question 1) i have a list of folders in my inbox from my pop server previously, but with the new gmail account, my rules and subfolders are obsolete. How can i upload the emails and folders to the gmail server so that they are the same online now?
question 2) I use entourage quite extensively now for my calander and contacts information, and i have the blackberry desktop manager to sync things up. the problem is that it seems like although it says that the blackberry can sync with entourage, it syncs through the 'address book' and the 'calander' of the mac itself. reason being, i can input data onto the calander on entourage and on ical, and it will sync to the blackberry, but i can't go from blackberry to ical to entourage. is there a way to cut out the middle man and have the blackberry and entourage sync 'directly' rather than indirectly?

Why can't you update?
There should be nothing preventing the update from 6.1.3 or 6.1.2 or even from 5 directly to 7.
What happens when you try to update?
Have you tried to Update through a computer running the most up top date version of iTunes?

Make sure you are entering the contacts and calendar events on your iCloud account. On your iPad, check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar. Here make sure you have selected an iCloud calendar as your default, and not something else like On My iPad, Google Calendar, and exchange account calendar, etc.
Then go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the contacts section) and make sure you have selected iCloud as your default. (If you don't see this settings, this isn't the problem).
If your settings for your calendar is correct on your iPad and it still won't sync new calendar events to your phone, go to icloud.com from your computer and enter any missing calendar events on your iPad that are not on your calendar on icloud.com. Once your iCloud calendar is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted, then after a minute or so turn Calendars back to On to sync your iCloud calendars back to your phone. Then enter a new event on your iPad and confirm that it syncs to icloud.com now.
If your settings for your contacts are correct on your iPad and it still won't sync new contacts to your phone, do the same thing for Contacts (add any missing contacts to icloud.com, turn iCloud syncing off, choose Delete from My iPhone, after a minute turn contact syncing back on, try adding a new contacts to confirm that it syncs).

I want to stop syncing my calander and contacts with active sync and want to sync with my mac via the cloud. When I turn off the active sync on my ipad is says it will wipe everything off my ipad. I want to get everything off my ipad onto my mac b4 that happens. Any suggestions please??

Sync Touch with Outlook 2000 calander and contacts

I cannot get my new Touch to sync neither my calendar nor my contacts from my Outlook program. The iTunes program says it is syncing contacts but just stays there and never ends. I let it run overnight, same result. I have tried doing them one at a time, just calendar or just contacts - same result.
My Touch is 29.6 Gb version 2.2.1 model PB533LL. I have 725 songs, 1 video and 34 pictures loaded with no problem.
I have also tried syncing with my Yahoo mail contacts, same result - nothing.
Any Suggestions?

OK I got my contacts to sync. A tedious process but here it is.
I export my Outlook contacts to a .cvs file. I then build a dummy Yahoo email account. I then import the records from the .cvs file to Dummy Yahoo and sync to that dummy account. FINALLY I made sure my cable was plugged into a 2.0 USB port on my computer NOT my USB hub. I had it in the hub ( which is 2.0 also ) and it did not work - moved it to one of the ports on the motherboard and it worked!
Still dont't have my calendar yet but will keep trying.

Photos should be copied to the computer and synced back via iTunes. They are unrelated to the Apple ID unless you are using PhotoStream.
Depending on how the contacts are synced the the device, chaging the Apple ID may wipe them.
Why do you want to change the Apple ID? If it's an email address change, simply change the email associated with the Apple ID. Do NOT create a new Apple ID.

Got it fixed, and it works very well, You have to buy the program to clean your iCal and Sync, but well worth it, much faster, and no issues. Spanning tools for Mac.

I download the new software for my iPhone and sync'd. My phone automatically loaded an older backup and the newest backup did not show up on the list of backups. Lost a lot of pictures, calander appointments and contacts. Can anyone help?

Itunes will not open and sync my Ipad after Imac update. Why?

I had a computer udate on my IMac yesterday and now I cannot get into my Itunes at all. I have no access to my music or videos, but my pictures pop up when I plug in my Ipad to the IMac. There is a message that comes up on my screen when I try to click into Itunes and it says; "The file "iTunes Library" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." I'm not sure what to do to be able to get back into my Itunes and sync my Ipad to it. Any suggestions?

If you've reached five authorizations for your iTunes Store account, there will be a button in your Store account information that will allow you to deauthorize all systems associated with that account. Log into your Store account and you should see it. You can then reauthorize the computers you're using now.

I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...

Are you using the original cable that came with Nano and not your iPhone's cable? Have you worked through the troubleshooting in this Apple support document?

If you can see the iCloud contacts in Outlook, you can copy them back to your PC by selecting all the contacts (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop the selected contacts to Contacts under My Contacts on the left sidebar of Outlook.
If you want to copy your calendar back to Outlook, select your iCloud calendar on the left sidebar of Outlook, switch to the list view (select View from the ribbon, then click Change View>List), select your events (click on a single event, then press Control-A), then control drag and drop them to Calendar under My Calendars on the left sidebar.
Then you can sign out of iCloud on the iCloud control panel and your local copies will still be there. If you want to add your iCloud email account back to iCloud, you can do this with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
