Calculate Date IN APEX

Question

Hi Friends,
I have 2 Items one is date item(Date Picker) and another one is textfield item. If i pick the date from Date picker then the output will automatically come to the 2 textfield item.
My Requirement output is:
For Example:
If i select 07.07.2008 from date picker
the output will come 13.07.2008 in the 2nd textfield.(add 6 days from selected date).
Is it possible in APEX.Please help me.

You can write a javascript something like this:
function calculateDates() {
var itm = document.getElementById('P7_TSHEET_DATE').value;
var temp = itm.substring(0,2);
if(temp.substring(0,1) == "0")
temp = temp.substring(1,2);
var day = parseInt(temp);
var mon = parseInt(itm.substring(3,5));
var yr = parseInt(itm.substring(6,10));
var myDate=new Date();
myDate.setFullYear(yr,mon-1,day+6);
document.getElementById('New_Field').value = myDate.getDate()+"/"+(myDate.getMonth()+1)+"/"+myDate.getYear();
