Calculating local currency using document date

Hi,
In some company codes we had local currency calculated automatically by document date exch rate.
After upgrading to ECC 6.0. this stopped working.
I have gone through the settings in non upgraded system (5.0) and in the upgraded one and I cannot find anything.
1) I do not want to set that in OB22. I want to have Translation date available and it should be prepopulated with document date instead of posting date. Can anyone help where to set this?
2) Can anyone help how to make translation date field (e.g. in FB60) changeable? Now I have it greyed out in some company codes.
Many thanks,
Honza

  • Calculating local currency based on document date in goods receipt

We have a requirement in Poland that the local currency PLN should be calculated based on the document date when doing goods receipt, and not standard SAP posting date. I can only find note 619330 according to this requirement, but this note requires use of material ledger which we are not using. We have implemented note 574583 for the same requirement in transaction MIRO.
Since there are no notes from SAP according to the requirement in transaction MIGO, are there any enhancements available for using the document date instead for posting date when calculating local currency?

  • Local Currency vs Document currency

    Hi,
    I have a question,
what is the difference b/w Local Currency and Document Currency.
    Thanks,
    Pria

    HI Pria...
Local currencey is Company specific...for different companies there will be different local currency...
Document currency is related to FI...Currency in which a document is posted........
And as per SD.....Currency in which the total values in a sales and distribution document are calculated.
    As per BI....
In SAP systems, every amount key figure is stored with respect to a currency key field. There are several
types of currency keys on OLTP data. The two most important currency types are the document (or
transaction) currency (BI InfoObject 0DOC_CURRCY) and the local (or company code) currency (BI
InfoObject 0LOC_CURRCY. The document currency is entered for each posting transaction of an OLTP
document-type record (for example financial documents), whereas the local currency is uniquely assigned to a company code when the OLTP system is customized.
So, the local currency can be used as a common currency for cross-application BI reporting (that is a
common reporting currency). Besides the document currency, every record within the final InfoProviders of the BI system should contain the local currency and the corresponding amounts with respect to the local currency.

  • Amount in Local Currency of documents of material  (mov 251)

    Hello Gurus,
We have a problem in the Amount in Local Currency of documents of material  (mov 251), resulting from the idoc WPUUMS01. When is the posting date before the current period.
    example:
    Material X
    August  Moving Price  150u20AC >>Total Stock 10 Total Value1500u20AC
September Moving Price  181.82u20AC >> Total Stock 11 Total Value 2000u20AC
If we integrate an August sale, the system registers the document with the cost of September (Amount Local Currency 181.82u20AC).
After registration of the document is the stock with the following values
    August Total Stock 9 >>Total Value 1318,19u20AC
September Total Stock 9 >> Total Value 1636,36u20AC
If we manually register the movement 251 by MIGO or MB11  with a date of August, the system records the cost value of 150u20AC (MAP August).
    Any suggestion?

    Vera Monteiro

  • Create FI documents using both amount in local currency and document

    Hi All,
I need to create FI documents using both amount in local currency and amount in document using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST. Please tell me how to do that.
    Chinmay

    Hi,
Firstly get the exchange rate, do the calculation using the document currency amount and populate the local currency amount field.
Whenever you use BAPI, use BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to commit the changes.
    Thanks & regards.

    Hi Prasad,
In Logistics Invoice Verification, when you enter an invoice in foreign
currency, the system automatically translates the foreign currency
amounts to local currency. The system calculates the exchange rate using
    the following rule:
1.If the buyer entered a fixed exchange rate in the purchase order, the
system uses this rate to translate the amounts to local currency.
2.If an exchange rate was entered in Invoice Verification, the system
uses this rate to translate the amounts to local currency.
3.If an exchange rate was entered neither in the purchase order nor in
Invoice Verification, the system uses the exchange rate pre-defined in
Customizing for Financial Accounting valid for the posting date.
    Exchange Rate Differences
If a purchase order is entered in foreign currency, the amounts are
translated from foreign currency into local currency at goods receipt.
If you enter the invoice for the purchase order in the foreign currency,
this can lead to currency translation differences between the goods
    receipt and the invoice receipt.
How these differences are posted depends on how your system is
configured in Customizing for Invoice Verification
    Exchange Rate Rounding Differences
When an invoice is posted in a foreign currency, the amounts are translated into local currency.Since the system rounds off the amounts in each posting line, this can lead to rounding differences due to the currency translation.
These differences are posted to an expense or income account.
Addition in transaction OB22 for the second local currency, it should be defined 'Translation taking transaction currency as a basis' is defined.
Pls. also  refer to note:335608  Trnsln of 2nd and 3rd lcl crcy fm 1st lcl/trns crcy.
I hope the above information helps you out......

  • How to use Documents & Data in the iCloud on my mac?

    Dear Sir,
When you activate Documents & Data from System Preferences/iCloud it means that it can be stored and synced with my MAC.
You can see this when you disable Documents & Data from System Preferences/iCloud, it says that (All Docments & Data Stored in my MAC will be deleted)
So, there should be a folded that can store and sync my Documents & Data with iCloud.
    So, How?
Or anyhow, how does it work?
    Thanks,
    Boudy,

So, iCloud is just for upload and download.
I even could not use the documents on the web. how come?
is it just a place to upload and download only? It should be used as a device on the Web also. and it should be synced with my Mac or PC. In this way, It could be useful. But to upload a document to the web, then modify it by any IOS5, in this case I will have 2 versions, one in the could, and another in my mac, and i have to keep update with the new one. if i modify the one in my mac, i have to re-upload again before using the one in the cloud or i'll be using another old version. and if i modify the version in the cloud, i should re-download it to my mac before using the version which is already in my mac. it is really going terrible.
I'm really disappointed from the iCould.
It is just for mail, syncing contacts and iCal, Find my iPhone.
iDisk and Photo Gallery was something unbelievable.
Hope apple to keep iDisk & Photo Galley and to update the iCloud

  • Doc. currency vs local currency diff in parked document

    Hi Team,
i was parked a document with document currency USD, but the local currency is CAD.
when i opened the parked document, document in USD currency showing debit and credits are matching woth zero balance, but when i clicked on local currency the document is showing 0.03 difference.
    any suggestions(i used 4.5 version)
    thanks,
    Ravi

    Hi, Ravi:
In F-63, there is a checkbox "Only transfer amnts in document curr. invoice", it is used as followings:
If we sets this indicator it translates the doc. currency into local currency at the time of parked document.
If we not set this indicator it translates the doc. currency into local currency when posting of document.
Eg: We are parking a document with doc. currency in USD @40
the next day we are posted that document then it is @42-
the system takes the exchange rate from the header which was specified in the parked document @40- only.
If we not set this indicator it will take at the time of posting of document @42-
    Hope it will help.
    Best Regards, Lawrence

  • Interest calculation based on Net Due Date

Hi guys: I want the interest calculation based on net due date and not document date or posting date.
I tried to check the box "ALWAYS CALCULATE INT FROM NET DUE DATE in prepare item interest calculation step, but system gives me message
"Do not select "Calc.intrst from net due date" for this int.calc.type
    Message no. F7128"
    Here are my questions:
1- how can i make the system to calculate interest only after the item is due for payment - right now its calculating anyday after the document date
2- Is this the correct place in configuration to do this?  (ALWAYS CALCULATE INT FROM NET DUE DATE )
3- Also in T code FINT, how can i run interest posting for only one item rather than all that show up in test run? I tried selecting/highlighting only one but it posts all.
    thanks much
    brian

    HI,
The system always calculates the interest from the document date of the invoice,
as of my knowledge there is no setting for the interest calculation from the net due date, so
what u need to do is when u are running the open item interest run u specify the period of only the date
from the net due date to required date as of u.
if u  want to calculate the interest to paticular invoice and  having two invoices
then u can run  as per the document date and other thing is u can block the invoice for dunnig.
    Regards,
    Padma

  • "Documents & Data" no longer working as expected

I've been using the "Documents & Data" feature in iCloud to great satisfaction - until now. After upgrading to OS X 10.10 and IO8.1, I'm not so happy anymore. It looks like a bug to me, but would  like others to comment on it.
First of all iCloud Drive is not enabled and is not an option for the time being due to lack of support in iPhoto 9.6.
As stated I use "Documents & Data" to share documents between by Mac and 2 iPads. And it's been working fine until the upgrade.
If I create a new spreadsheet on one iPad it's available on the other, but not on the Mac.
When I enter System Preferences/iCloud and select "Manage..." and then "Numbers" the spreadsheet created on the iPad is listed, but is not available when I do a File/Open in Numbers on the Mac.
    Comments please.
PS If I create a new spreadsheet on the Mac and save it in iCloud, it's only available for the Mac, not the iPads.

By browsing through several Apple "forums" I found that: If you've decided NOT to upgrade to iCloud Drive you can still share documents between IOS8 devices but NOT with MACs running OS X Yosemite. So I guess it's "working as designed", but if I may add: "Bad designed".

  • Mapping Document date to PO date during MASS Transaction

    Hi ABAP Experts,
I have a quick question. I want to change existing Sales order header data. I think we can do it using MASS transaction.
Right now we don't have any data in the PO date field. Now I want to fill this field using document date.
I went to MASS transaction and there is feature to set a rule to get this value. Someone please give me the code to get document date and put it in the X value.
Here is the existing form routine the system gave.
    * X is the value you must return
    form GET_NEW_MASSSDHEAD_S_BSTDK
    using segment structure MASSSDHEAD_S
    changing X.
    endform

  • Report Painter : Local currency is having decimal points for chile

    Hi Friends,
I have a report painter in which the amount for the the countries which are not having the decimal places
like chile and Japan are displying with the decimal places, when i changed the base key figure as the transaction currency instead of the local currency then no data is coming.
If someone have some good ideas which can resolve this issue please suggest me.
    Thanks & Regards
    Digvijay

    Hi Yogesh,
    Thank you for ur reply.
in the report, i have 10 keyfigures. 4 are being picked up from the report and they have currency translation variable. The rest 6 are formulas. On these formulae, i restricted the decimal display to "nothing defined". it works fine for all the 6 formulae. for WON it does NOT show decimals and for the rest of the currencies, it shows decimals.
but how this can be achieved on the 4 direct keyfigures??
    Rgds.,
