Calculating months instead of days

Dammit! My client wasn't happy with me calculating 90 days from a given date field.
He wants 3 months.
So I thought I'd solved my problem, but I haven't. Can anyone help me to calculate 3 months instead of 90 days.
eg. If the 'from' date is 23/05/11, he wants the 'to' date to result in 23/08/11. Which of course will not necessarily be 90 days.

Show data of last day of previous month against any day of current month

I have fact table which contains data at date level (we have data for oct-2009 to april-2010). Our requirement is to show data of last day of previous month against any day of current month in obiee 11g. I am facing problem in Feb 2010 its picking data of 28-Jan-2010 instead of 31-jan-2010 and for April its picking data of 30-mar-2010 instead of 31-mar -2010.
Any suggestion ???

You're asking to filter your data set to only include rows between:
1) last day of the previous month
2) any day of the current month
This can be achieved with prompting in OBIEE Answers.
last day of previous month = TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , -(1), TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , DAYOFMONTH( CURRENT_DATE) * -(1) + 1, CURRENT_DATE)) . The problem is you need to make query work within Oracle's Answer syntax.
In the prompt, select the operator type for your date dimension as 'between' and default to 'SQL Results'.
For the 'last day of previous month' , use the query:
SELECT
case when 1=0 then Time."Fiscal Date" else TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , -(1), TIMESTAMPADD( SQL_TSI_DAY , DAYOFMONTH( CURRENT_DATE) * -(1) + 1, CURRENT_DATE))

For the current date, use the query:

Another option is to create a last_date_pervious_month variable in the RPD and have that as the default value in your prompt.

Dunning month end + 30 days

hi gurus,
is it possible to configure dunning procedure based on month end + 30 days? for example if invoice is issued on 2 february / 20 february, dunning will be calculated to 28 february + 30 days to issue 1st reminder. do i have to do any configuration to achieve these? any response is appreciated. tq

Wrong month displayed in day and week views

I recently noticed that whereas the current month is displayed correctly in Month view, in Day and Week view the date is displayed as in January. This has been the case in both February and now March.
I sync my iCal with my mobileme account and my iphone and these don't have the same problem.
I have removed my com.apple.iCal.plist file and rebooted, to no avail.
Any suggestions what else I can do?

I kick myself. Though too my mind it is not logical to look inside Language & Text for a problem with month names. I forgot that last month I changed the date format to yyyymmdd in order to make it more logical sorting things. I have now reverted to day of week, day of month, month, year, and everything seems fine.

IOS 7 Calendar on iPad I cannot go from month view to day view. When I tap on the day of the month nothing happens.

I use to be able to look at my month in the month view and when I wanted to make an appointment for a specific day I just tapped that day and it would open up the day and I could add my appointment to the time slot I wanted. Now when I am in month view and I tap on the day I want to make an appointment it does nothing. If I hold my finger on the day it creates an All Day event which is not what I want to do and even if I add a start time to the event, I don't know what times I have available on that day because the Day view hasn't opened. This is extremely frustrating. On my iphone it works properly...I can go from month view to day view by tapping on the day I want to view. Why can't I do this on my iPad?? If I could go back to ios 6 I would, calendar is not impressive at all!!
Please help with any suggestions or PLEASE APPLE.....FIX THIS!!!

I just tested, and this unfortunately still seems to be a bug in the latest iOS 7.1 release of the Calendar on the iPad, which is too bad since the release notes suggest that this iOS update included both bug fixes and enhancements to the Calendar.
To my knowledge the bug has never been an issue on the iPhone version of the Calendar which behaves exactly as you would expect it should.
It seems inconcievable given the obvious broken-ness of the current behavior coupled with what I would expect is a massive number of people who use the Calendar on the iPad, but is it possible that this bug isn't on Apple's radar?
I'm happy to submit a bug report; does anyone know offhand the process for how the public can report bugs?
This has been persistent in the product for nearly six months; it's well overdue that this bug be squashed.

Calendar from month view to day view

Hi,
why isn't it possible (like on my iPhone) if I'm in the month view to tip on a specific day and see this day in the day view?
I adressed this already at the Apple Feedback page but it seems to be thaat even in iOS 7.1 it has not made into the finals - or am I doing it just wrong?

I share your frustration Joerg - when I switch from MONTH view to DAY view, I seem to end up on a random day rather than the day I'm trying to choose.
My 'workaround' is to double-click on the chosen day to create a New Event, then click across to Day view, then hit erase o get rid of the unwanted new event. Surely there must be a better way?

The requirement is to display the Aging - 7 Buckets Report display by calendar month not by days. So is it suggestible to customize it or write a new custom report?

Wrongly created depreciation for .3 months instead of 3 years

Assets purchased in Aug10 were wrongly created to depreciate over 3 months instead of 3 years. How do we rectify the errors as depreciation was grossly overstated for assets.
Depreciation is already posting for one month and period is now closed for posting.

First change depreaction keys to 0000 and try to run in repeat...
And try reverse the wongly posted document numbers using AB08.. otherwise Try to make a depreciation repeat run after you corrected the acquisition value, system will correct the depreciation automatically

How to Enable Week Level Planning instead of Day Level with ATPM

Hello Experts,
We've a requirement wherein, we would like to do Week Level Planning instead of Day Level.
But as soon as, we remove CALDAY from the DSO/aggregation level, the planning layout doesn't get rendered.
Hence we need to always add CALDAY in Planning DSO and Aggregation level.
How can we get rid of this?
We are on BW SP7.4 SP6.
It would be great, if you can share your expert opinion on this.

Calculation Based on Previous Day's Figure

This is a solution I implemented several years ago, which is now causing problems and must be rectified. The intention was to compare a single field across two days and calculate the difference. The only way I could figure out how to do that
back then was to go back and loop through the whole table, calculating the difference each day until the present day. This obviously isn't very efficient and now something has gone wrong.
Here's the code:

This is run on the _Compute event of another property in the table. It seemed to work for a long time, but now is occasionally giving wildly inaccurate numbers.
What's a better way to solve this problem? Failing that, can anyone explain exactly how the above works and why it might be going wrong?

Start by looking at your data. Any unusual spikes or negative values?
A better way to handle it is to let the database do the calculations via a stored procedure.

I'm a Spotify premium user in Australia. A friend of mine recently signed up to Spotify premium and is only paying the offered price of $11.99/month. I signed up a few months ago and have noticed that I'm still being charged for $14.99/month.
