i have designed a form z_pm_common..which i have copied from standard.pm_common. i have made some changes to the layout.
now at the header i have a field :
DURATION OF JOB :&AFVGD-ARBEI& &AFVGD-ARBEH&
AFVGD-ARBEI IS WORK DURATION.I.E 6.3
AFVGD-ARBEH IS UNIT. IN HOURS.
THE WORK ENTERED IN IW33 ARE 1.0 , 2.0 , 6.3 AND UNIT IS H(hours)
WHEN IAM USING &AFVGD-ARBEI& &AFVGD-ARBEH&
IAM GETTING ONLY THE LAST WORK I.E ( 6.3 H ).
WHT I WANT TO DO IS CALCULATE 1.0 + 2.0 + 6.3 = 9.3. AND I WANT THE UNIT TO BE IN MINUTES. I.E THE O/P SHOULD BE LIKE 09:03 M(MINUTES).
NOW HOW DO I MAKE THIS POSSIBLE ALSO HOW DO I PERFORM SUBROUTINE IN THIS CASE..PLZ TELL ME THE COMPLETE STEPS WITH CODING.

Functions in Calculation and Summary Fields

Hi,
I'll give a bit of background to my situation before describing the advice I'm looking for here.
I am experienced Mac user and I have used AW a fair bit in the past, but since I've been working in a job which has Windows machines and uses a complex custom-written relational database for its main tool, I use it less often than I did, so I am a little rusty. It is the shortcomings of the complex relational database (which I do not have admin rights to) that has led me back to AW and its database module.
Essentially, I am a complaints investigator, and the relational database provided by my employer is used to keep track of correspondence and various metadata associated with the investigation of the complaint. However, although it is called a Complaints Management System (CMS), it does not help me manage my caseload very well. I've previously tried to create an Excel spreadsheet that would help me manage my work, but it is not a database (or I am not sufficiently skilled with Excel) and I cannot get it to provide me with what I want.
So, my problems.
I have complaints (cases) assigned to me to investigate. These cases have differing priorities, which means differing time limits for completion of the investigation. The priorities and time limits are set out below:
J (jurisdictional issues) - time limit = 1 month
D (discretion not to investigate) - time limit = 3 months
1 - time limit = 4 months
2 - time limit = 6 months
3 - time limit = 12 months
The priority field in my AW DB is currently a 'pop-up menu' field, but I could change this to another type if this would be advisable.
I have a date-type field in which I enter the date the complaint was received. I have an calculation-type field in which I calculate the age of the complaint using the function:
=(NOW()-'DateReceived')
This returns an age in days, which I input into a separate calculation field that divides the result of 'age in days' by 30, to give a rough approximation of the number of months old the complaint is (If AW has an equivalent to Excel's 'workdays' variable, I'd love to hear about it). This latter field is the one that I display in the main data entry view of the database.
Given the priority assigned to the complaint, and the age of it, I am either 'On Target' or 'Over Target' for completing the investigation.
Each month I have a meeting with my manager to review progress, and since the reports that can be extracted from the CMS are not very useful for this purpose, I want my AW database to help me generate reports that can form the basis of discussion in these meetings.
Part A of My Query
At present, I have a manually operated field, in the form of a pop-up menu, to indicate for each record (complaint) whether I am over or on target for completion of the investigation. I would like to make this a calculated field, so that the database keeps track of this for me automatically. Unfortunately, I'm either too dense, or not good enough with the syntax of AW functions, to be able to write a function which essentially does the following:
IF 'Priority'=1 AND 'Age in Months'<4 THEN 'On Target' ELSE 'Over Target'
- and then repeats that for the other priority possibilities. It seems likely that the 'IF' function is what I'm after, but I haven't been able to get the syntax right to combine 'Priority' and 'Age in Months' in the format spelt out in the AW help, which is:
=IF(logical,true value,false value)
Getting the syntax of one part of this function right would be a good start. However, I suspect that I have a larger problem, in that I have 5 priorities to measure against and I need the overall calculation (that produces the 'On Target' or 'Over Target' results) to report in one result field. This means nesting the functions that look at the 5 priorities and 5 age limits. I've tried and failed to get the syntax of such nesting right, so advice on this is doubly welcome.
Unfortunately, I have a sneaking suspicion that unless the answer is much more concise than I imagine it to be, there will be an additional problem: AW appears to have a character limit for the length of a function string in a calculation field which may be too short for my needs. If you think this is an issue but that it can be solved through the use of intermediate fields (which don't need to be displayed in the main 'data entry' layout), I'm happy to give that a shot.
Part B of my Query
Even if the problem above cannot be solved, and I have to manually enter whether a complaint is 'On Target' or 'Over Target', I have a separate but related question for the reports I have to present to my manager.
On these reports, I would like to have a summary at the top of the first page (in a grand-summary part, I assume) which gives a count of how many complaints are 'On Target' or 'Over Target' for each priority. Below that is a sub-summary part, ordered by the type of action that must next be taken in the investigation. (Getting that right may be a subject of a separate post at a later date.) The report must, of course, only report on those complaints that are still being investigated ('open complaints') and not those which have been completed ('closed complaints'). So, I need a function in a summary field which will present an accurate count of the number of open complaints that are 'on target' for priority J (with separate summary fields that do the same thing for priorities D, 1, 2, and 3), and a separate set of summary fields that will present a count of open complaints that are 'over target' for each type of priority.
It might look a bit like this table below, with figures from the summary fields populating the cells in the third row:

My guess is that it is easier to have the summary field simply count all the complaints that are on or over target for a given priority, regardless of whether they are open or closed, since the report could be based on a saved search (match) which strips out all closed complaints. But if I'm off-beam with that idea, I'm happy to have another way of cracking this nut.

I've done some restating of the question, and distributed the calculations among several fields, not all of which need to be included on the visible layout. Other than formatting the Date fields and moving the 'Completed Date' field and its label, I've left this in the default "Layout 1" produced by AppleWorks.
Field List:
Priority: Popup menu with six items: 00, J, D, 1, 2, 3 Defaults to 00
TL (time limit in months): Calculation: CHOOSE('Priority',0,1,3,4,6,12)
Received: Date. Option: Automatically insert today's date (ie. Date Record created) (may be edited)
Target Date: Calculation:
DATE(YEAR('Received')+INT(MONTH('Received')+'TL')/12,MOD(MONTH('Received')+'TL', 12),DAY('Received'))
Remaining (Days): Calculation: INT('Target Date'+1-NOW()) (see revision below)
Completed: Checkbox. Set default value to Unchecked.
Completed Date: Date: Entered manually
OnTarget: Calculation: IF('Completed',IF('Completed Date'<'Target Date',"On Target","Over"),IF(INT(NOW())>'Target Date',"Over","On Target"))
The On Target field shows the current status of the case while still open, and the state on the closing date when it was closed.
Having done that, I was unhappy with the Remaining field continuing to calculate an ever larger negative number after the case had been closed. Hence this revision below:
Remaining: Calculation: IF('Completed','Target Date'-'Completed Date',INT('Target Date'+1-NOW()))
Shows the number of days remaining while the case is open, the days remaining at completion if the case has been marked Completed and the completion date entered.
Rsults (and some further formatting of the Layout) below.
Part B:
You will need Subsummary parts when sorted on Completed and on On Target. Fields can appear on a Layout only once, so each subsummary part will need a separate Summary type field for each field to be summarized.

Invoice Template problem - Putting a Header field in repeating Lines rows

Dear experts,
I would be grateful for a problem I am having with an Invoice statement I am developing (Oracle Applications 11.5.10 with BI Publisher version 10.1.3.4). This is very similar to the one in Tim Dexter's Blog (Anatomy of a Template):

My requirement is to add a single line into the lines table, as seen in the Blog, which is a COMMENTS field from the header part of the XML and the problem is that it can be 1 line to maybe 5 lines. This is only on the first page. This causes problems as I don't know how to find out how far down the lines table I may be after adding this COMMENTS header field in here, to then know how many lines to loop over to ensure that the lines do not carry on printing over the bottom of the page e.g. if the COMMENTS is 3 lines - how do I know this to then only print 3 minus the maximum lines per page ($lpp) only on the first page?
Any pointers would be of great help.

The COMMENTS field I've found out can be of any varible size and include carriage returns. For example, could be:

This causes such problems as being able to know how many lines this field will be, so that I know where to start the first Lines row in the invoice and also how many lines I can put on this first page (starting point - $lpp).
One method I thought would be to count how many characters there are in this field, when it reaches the line size on the invoice, increment a count varible that would be used to indicate the starting point for the first lines record. I would need to compare each character and if it is a carriage return, then increment the count also. This seems quite a heavy wieght way to solve this and would welcome any over ideas.

How to view "From" header field in OUTgoing messages in Mail? Frustrating.

In Mail v.4.3 (in OSX 10.6.4), I need to view the "From" field in my outgoing messages as I am composing them. However, there seems to be no setting in Mail which allow this.
I find this very frustrating because in Eudora (which I used to use), the "From" field in outgoing messages is visible by default. But in Mail, not only is it not visible by default, there seems to be no way to make it visible.
In the "Customize..." button to the left of the Subject field in outgoing messages, one has the option to add as default outgoing message fields "cc," "bcc," "Reply-To," and "Subject," but none of those are what I want. It allows one to also view the address of the mail server, but that also is not what I'm looking for. What I want is to see my outgoing +email address+. And nowhere is there an option in the Preferences to turn this on. (At least as far as I could tell.)
In fact, the only way to see the identity in the outgoing "From" field is to go to Preferences, then click on Accounts, and look there; or send oneself a test email. Both of which are a hassle and should be unnecessary.
In case you're curious as to why I want to see my outgoing "From" header field:
I have several different "personas" online, each of which uses a different email address: My work address (with a work-related domain); my family/personal address (with a different email address than my work address); an online avatar I use in various gaming sites (also with its own address, since I don't want to use my personal name/address in the gaming community); and so on. However, I have all incoming emails to all accounts auto-forwarded to the same central email account. Most of the time I'm just replying to business emails, so my outgoing "Full Name" and "Email Address" (in Preferences>Accounts) are generally set to my business name and address; but on occasion when I want to reply to a non-business email and not have the recipient see my business email address, I go in to Preferences>Accounts and change "Full Name" and "Email Address" (i.e. what is displayed to the user) to something different. And when I'm done with that, I change it back to my business address.
However, sometimes I forget if I've changed it back or not, or forget what I've changed it to. In Eudora, All one needed to one was create a new outgoing email and it would display the "From" field so I could instantly see my outgoing identity. But in Mail, there is no "From" field in outgoing emails, so I'm constantly nervous and wondering which outgoing identity I may have changed to and accidentally forgotten to change back from.
(Yes, yes, I know that if a recipient wanted to be snoopy, they could look at the "full headers" of any incoming email and see the name of my email server, which may different from my displayed email address; but we're not talking about spy-stuff here, I'm just trying to not confuse people and keep business separate from personal.)
So: is there any way for me to see the outgoing "From" field in the emails I send? Or am I condemned to constantly (and mostly unnecessarily) checking "Preferences>Accounts" to see what I have enetered there?

What is the "compose window" to which you are both referring? I could find no reference to such a thing in the Mail menus or Help.
Do you mean the "Composing" pane in the Preferences? I don't see what either one of you is referring to there, but I did notice there something that could function as an awkward workaround: If I click on the "Automatically CC myself" box in Preferences>Composing, then when I start a new email, my email address is displayed in the "CC" field -- and luckily, Mail allows me to then delete my email address out of the CC field, so I don't have to spam myself with duplicate copies of all my emails. This way, I can at least briefly see what email address I'm using, before I delete it from the CC field. Pretty awkward and unnecessarily laborious, however -- still not a perfect solution.
Or, by "composing window," are you referring to an outgoing email? As I said in my original comment, I do see what Ernie called "a small box with lines and an arrow at the bottom left of the header box." This is what I had to say about it:

I find it completely mystifying that both of you seem to be able to see a "From" field available to be added to the header of outgoing emails, yet no such option is available to me in Mail. What possibly could be causing this? 10.6.4 is freshly installed on my machine, and Mail seems brand new and uncorrupted. And I'm using Mail 4.3, the latest version.
Are you saying that everyone else can see an option to have a "From" field in their outgoing messages, but I uniquely don't? Very very very strange.

Upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 yesterday. No, after logging on to firefox, which takes me to my comcast page and when I try to get
my e-mail I get this message "your browser sent a request this server could not understand. Size of request header field exceeds server limit" Then it says something about "cookies" I also tried to connect to other sites and get similar messages. Just to let you know I am not a guru, and 80 years old, but I did not have this problem with the previous version. Question, why are the headers repeated? Could that be the problem???

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites (e.g. comcast) that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Making a header field as non editable while creating PO using ME21n

goto se80 t-code and give 'ME' package, and now see the enhancements available.
You l get a relavent one, if you go through all those.

PPCO0007 User Exit for Changing Header Fields During Order (CO40)

lost, and finally the system set the standard order.

You can use the enchancement PPCO0007 (exit when the production order is saved).
Use the function module EXIT_SAPLCOZV_001 (User Exit for Checking or Changing Header Fields During Order Save) to update the field priority starting the information in the material-customer info record.

BADI-User exit required for updating Purchase order header field -IHREZ

We have requirement in our business to update the purchase order header field "our reference" EKKO-IHREZ with some text field. We need a BADI/user exit that can be used for updating this field . We have checked the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST and unfortunately we are not able to use this BADI as it getting triggered in enjoy SAP transactions ME21N , ME22N etc. We are not creating the purchase order manually and we are using ME59N for creating Purchase order . Hence we are looking for some user exit/BADI that can be used in ME59N for updating the purchase order header field IHREZ.

HTTP Header fields in SOAP adapter - Part 2

With regards to my previous thread HTTP Header fields in SOAP adapter
my header issue is solved and hence I have closed the thread but still I am not able to make the connection successful. The new problem is below
My vendor requirement is to specify the header as "Ent-sender" but when we give the same in XI in communication channel it automatically convets into uppercase "ENT-SENDER". Due to case-sensitive in vendor server the connection is not gettingestablished.
Please help me out how to solve the problem.

Thank you, I jave seen the note and find the below solution will be some what realated to my prblem.
The nosoap mode lets the adapter send the XI payload directly without wrapping it in the SOAP envelope. Although the main use of this mode is to send some plain text content directly to some web server, one can use this mode to send their own SOAP message (e.g., with arbitrary headers) to an external web service (See related questions). In this case, the XI payload must be formatted in the SOAP envelope.
To use the nosoap mode, the channel must be configured to use no SOAP envelope.
If yes, can you please let me know how to use nosoap mode otherise let me the other possibilities. I am already using tcpg2.zip to trace the SOAP adapter in which it was confirmed that XI is changing the header automatically into CAPS whatever case we give,

Header Fields not picked in Http Adapter

This note did help us pick up the header fields but on picking up it returns the header fields in lower case instead of the case Sensitive format I sent it in ..I looked at the trace log too and its in case sensitive format but when my 3rd party receives it, it is in lower case format...funny even the <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes" ?>
is also in lowercase..I am running XI 3.0 SP4..Is it an XI issue or something to do with my integration server which processes my HTTP adapter??? Or any other notes also needs to be applied??

For each occurrence of DEPT_GROUP, a new section is created.
These sections can have different header/footer.
In case, you want different values to be displayed in header/footer section(as your requirement) or you want the page numbers to be reset for each group, you can use this command.

HTTP adapter header fields

Hai All,
   Is there any option to add header fields dynamically in the HTTp adapter header fields?
I am doing a file to HTTp scenario.In this i have to pick a file using file adapter and add some header values(header values are both static and dynamic)and using HTTP adapter place it at a target URL.Is it possible to avoid mapping since there is only picking up of file and adding some headers to it.I can see header fields in the HTTP reseiver adapter.Can i use these to add the static and dynamiuc header fields.specifically i have two questions.
1)I want to include the source file name which is DYNAMIC as a field in the header fields in the target payload.How can this be achieved?Should i go for mapping and write a UDF for the same or is there any option to add dynamic values in the HTTP receiver adapter header fields?
2)what are these header fields for?
Can somebody explain it to me.I have gone through the Blogs like http receiver adapter configuration etc..would be of great help if anybody could explain it to me in detail.

Tomcat5.5/Java1_5_05: Invaild Header field when starting webapp...

We just moved some java JSP's/code to a new Apache2(2.0.55)/Tomcat5.5.12 running Java 1_05_05 server.
Java -version:

I get a similar error that deals with invalid headers.
This code(.jar/jsp's) have been running on a tomcat 4 server with Java 1_4:
