Calculation of Difference in XL-Reporter

Hi Experts,
I am trying to cutomize the standard format of the purchase Register..I want the field of Document Total - Tax amount in the column named Purchase value row.It works but it affects the other column i.e purchase value (document).pls let me know where i am lacking or stuck?what should be done in such condition.

Hi Mona,
To reduce the side effect when you change the ready made report, you should keep in mind that all columns are inter-connected. Therefore, you may only create new columns to refer to the existing ones instead of change them directly.

Currency differences - multy currency reporting

Hello,
I have simple issue.
CO area currency (e.g.)           USD
Company code currency (e.g.) MEX
Normal posting come (correctly) as   (e.g.) 10 USD = 100 MEX
In case of calculated currency differences SAP sometimes posts in FI (on cost center) (e.g)     0 USD and 5 MEX.
As far as I understand SAP adjusts the figures so that - in total 10 USD are now 95 MEX in the example.
This is correct from the FI side.
However, it looks like a disadvantage in CO as changes caused by currency differences are only shown
on one of the two currencies (the company code currency).
Has anyone of you faced similar discussions.
Any information would be great.

I guess I do not have a display issue.
From my side, SAP reacted correctly in
presenting 0 USD together with 5 MEX in the example.
My question is:
Are there scenarios in which you avoid that?
The thing is:
Imagine that in case of one CO-area (e.g. in USD) with company cods in many different countries
(with EUR, CHF, MEX etc.).
I would always face the "0 USD/ 5 MEX-case".
Or am I simple compelled to create reports with object currency (EUR, CHF, MEX etc.)
and contolling area currency "in the next column" thus presenting "total USD and
total company code currency"? (of course, I guess that this would match with FI).

Share calculation Not working in the report

Iam surprised not to ge the simple share calculation not working at my report.
I have a dimension and corresponding values ( measures) .I made a Total at the end of the report. and I want to calcualte share of Total to each corresponding value.
how to do this, any thougts,...
I have used calculated memebers for this, But I wan to make the percentage of the total ( which is calculated inside Tool itself)

Not totally sure what you are trying to achieve but there a couple of possible solutions:
1) Total = total of all dimension members. Assuming you only have three dimension members then you should have a fourth member called ALL_DIMS or something similar. In the Share calculation template you need to specify the Total level as the basis for your share calc. This will generate the following result:
                         Revenue % Share
- All Members     600         100%
     A                  100           17%
     B                  200           33%
     C                  300           50%2) The total you are referring to is in fact a sub total and is the result of adding together only the results for A + B + C, i.e. you have hundreds of dimension members but you specifically want to see a total for just these three members. To do this create a new custom aggregate call "My Total" and add together the dimension members A + B + C - Custom Aggs are a new feature to Discoverer OLAP (Checkout Mark Rittman's excellent blog article for more information on this feature: http://www.rittmanmead.com/2006/11/13/checking-out-the-new-discoverer-101220-features/)
Then in the Share calculation wizard set the basis for your index using the last option in the list "Specific Dimension Member" and select your new custom aggregate member.

Difference in Balance Report and FS10N table GLPCT

Dear Experts,
We are facing one issue in Report which had prepared through report painter. We were using GLPCT table to prepare this report. The balance is coming correctly upto operating margin. After operating margin balance is not coming correct. This is mostly Balance Sheet items like Debtors, Creditors, Inventory.
For example GL 134002 (Inventory) is showing amount in Rs. 258178 in this report (EVA) April period and in FS10N the same GL balance is appearing is Rs. 1632599.60.
We did the analysis is that it may be not picking correct opening balance. But unable to find out the correct reason.
What could be the reason for this difference in this report. Please advice.

Thanks for your support, Actual this issue happend due to PCA BCF has not happend but when i execute KE5T then it is not showing any difference FI & PCA. I have mentioned company code XYZ, Fiscal year 2011, from period 1 to 12 and account number in KE5T. But it is not showing difference.
Can you please suggest how can I run this KE5T in the system.

Difference in asset report & g.l account balance

Hi All,
we have 3 assets in assets report (AW01 & S_ALR_87011994) whose balance is not matching from gl account used for asset posting in AO90.
Could you please suggest how there can be difference in asset report & gl account balance.

Actually you need to analyze this scenario deeply as there are so many reasons why the assets are not matching with the GL account.
1. Legacy assets
     if this is a legacy asset make sure that the GL account balance is equal to the asset balances as of the transfer year
     to do this you can compare AHS (AR02) and GL balance (FAGLB03) as of the year of transfer
     if there is a discrepancies between the GL and asset, then there is a problem during migration
2. Manual Adjustment
     Make sure that there is no manual adjustment posted on the GL accounts as manual adjustments or postings will only reflect to GL and not in asset
     to check this go to GL line item report and analyze all transactions and make sure that there is no adjustment posted on asset GL accounts.
3. Human Error
     It is possible that you are comparing values in asset history sheet to your gl accounts not correctly.
     to make sure check again the mapping of your asset classes to account determination and then to the GL accounts.

Difference in reconciliation reports MCBA & MCBR

Hi Gurus,
I am finding difference in reconcililation reports of valuted stocks. When I run report MCBA (Plant analysis) & MCBR (Batch Analysis), in some case I find huge difference & some cases very marginal.

Take such a material with a huge difference and analyse the movements in MB51.
Check if all have a batch number, see if there is certain movement that makes the difference, see if you moved to/from special stocks

Cost difference between PM report MCI8 and IW38 orders cost

I have an issue of cost difference between Plant Maintenance total actual cost of orders and Cost analysis report.

Applied SAP notes 180047 and 112841 for the following error:
Cost is not displaying in MCI8 for every 3 months intervals.
Now this problem has been resolved but got an another error like cost
difference between MCI8 report and IW38 order costs.
Note applied method:-
1). Configured FYV as Z1 with Period update for info structures S61 to
S65, S70, S114 to S116.
2). Regenerate order cost in Tcode OLI5.
3). PMIS: Statistical setup of info structures T.Code u2013 OLPM
For Info Structures which is changed in the configuration SO61-SO65,
SO70, S114-S116.
4). Copy info structures Version &( to Active version 000 T.Code u2013 OLIX,
Select Copy version
For all info Structure SO61-SO65, SO70, S114-S116.
*Steps for Reconstruction*
New another error like cost difference between MCI8 report and IW38
order costs.
Step 1. Transaction- MCI8, Order type - CORR, Period -01.2009 to
12.2009 and execute
Step 2. Drilldown the corrective maintenance order costs into period
wise.
Step 3. Transaction- IW38, Order type Corr, Period -01.2009 to 12.2009,
Currency - EUR and execute
Cost differences: E.g. Example A)
                               MCI8                                 IW38
Total costs             8.041,69                           5.544,99
of WOs               18                                     18
So far my view is that, regardless of the selection criteria or the
output layout, predominantly the costs are different.
I would expect that they are equal. And what the right result are,..u2026Iu2019m
not sure.

Hello,
Sometimes this difference comes because of the selection period which we are choosing.
Try to run IW38 once with the help of Basic start and basic finish dates of the order.
And after that with the help of the period with the same dates range.
You will get the difference also.
the reason is that whenever any Posting is done in the previous month PM order the system changes the basic start date and when you select the current period and execute IW38 it shows the whole cost incurred on the order including all previous cost.
But in MCI8 it does not happen because MCI8 is run through LIS structures. And in this report only the current month cost will be shown by the system.

Hi,read the following :
In ABAP, there are a total of 7 types of reports. They are:
Classical Reports
Interactive Reports
Logical Database Reports
ABAP query
ALV Reports (ALV stands for ABAP List Viewer)
Report Writer/Report Painter
Views (There are different types of views also)
Classical Reports
These are the most simple reports. It is just an output of data using the Write statement inside a loop.
Classical reports are normal reports. These reports are not having any sub reports. IT IS HAVING ONLY ONE SCREEN/LIST FOR OUTPUT
Interactive Reports
As the name suggests, the user can Interact with the report. We can have a drill down into the report data. For example, Column one of the report displays the material numbers, and the user feels that he needs some more specific data about the vendor for that material, he can HIDE that data under those material numbers.
And when the user clicks the material number, another report (actually sub report/secondary list) which displays the vendor details will be displayed.
We can have a basic list (number starts from 0) and 20 secondary lists (1 to 21).
Logical Database Reports
Logical database is another tool for ABAP reports. Using LDB we can provide extra features for ABAP reports.
While using LDB there is no need for us to declare Parameters.
Selection-screen as they will be generated automatically.
We have to use the statement NODES in ABAP report.
ABAP Query Reports
ABAP query is another tool for ABAP. It provides efficency for ABAP reports. These reports are very accurate.

Report Writer / Report painter
Super users and end users can use Report Painter/Report Writer tools to write their own reports.
Giving them the ability to report on additional fields at their discretion shifts the report maintenance burden to them, saving SAP support groups time and effort normally spent creating and maintaining the reports.
ALV reports
Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
The report output can contain up to 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.
There is no difference between drill down and interactive report, they are the same.
With drilldown reporting, SAP provides you with an interactive information system to let you evaluate the data collected in your application. This information system is capable of analyzing all the data according to any of the characteristics that describe the data. You can also use any key figures you wish to categorize your data. You can display a number of objects for a given key figure, or a number of key figures for a given object. In addition, the system lets you carry out any number of variance analyses (such as plan/actual comparisons, fiscal year comparisons, comparisons of different objects, and so on).

Classical Reports
These are the most simple reports. Programmers learn this one first. It is just an output of data using the Write statement inside a loop.
Classical reports are normal reports. These reports are not having any sub reports. IT IS HAVING ONLY ONE SCREEN/LIST FOR OUTPUT.
Events In Classical Reports.
INTIALIZATION: This event triggers before selection screen display.
AT-SELECTION-SCREEN: This event triggers after proccesing user input still selection screen is in active mode.
START OF SELECTION: Start of selection screen triggers after proceesing selection screen.
END-OF-SELECTION : It is for Logical Database Reporting.
Interactive Reports
As the name suggests, the user can Interact with the report. We can have a drill down into the report data. For example, Column one of the report displays the material numbers, and the user feels that he needs some more specific data about the vendor for that material, he can HIDE that data under those material numbers.
And when the user clicks the material number, another report (actually sub report/secondary list) which displays the vendor details will be displayed.
We can have a basic list (number starts from 0) and 20 secondary lists (1 to 21).
Events associated with Interactive Reports are:
1. AT LINE-SELECTION
2. AT USER-COMMAND
3. AT PF<key>
4. TOP-OF-PAGE DURING LINE-SELECTION.
HIDE statement holds the data to be displayed in the secondary list.
sy-lisel : contains data of the selected line.
sy-lsind : contains the level of report (from 0 to 21)
Interactive Report Events:
AT LINE-SELECTION : This Event triggers when we double click a line on the list, when the event is triggered a new sublist is going to be generated. Under this event what ever the statements that are been return will be displayed on newly generated sublist.
AT PFn: For predefined function keys...
AT USER-COMMAND : It provides user functions keys.
TOP-OF-PAGE DURING LINE-SELECTION :top of page event for secondary list.

Difference between Interactive report and ALV Interactive report.

What is the difference between Interactive report and ALV Interactive report.
i think there is no much difference the same Interactive report Events and functionality we will implement with ALV.
Experts guide me.

Hi,
ALV interactive report gives many advantages than interactive report like sorting, summing and getting graphics.
An interactive report generally basic list displayed. User double clicks on any valid line or user selects a line and presses as button on the tool bar. Then the corresponding event is triggered
