Expanding table: Calculating difference to value from previous row
Hi there,
I am a complete newbie to LiveCycle Designer (ES2) and have created below document with an expanding table.
Shared Files - Acrobat.com
My aim is to make the form user friendly by adding a calculation in the field "Twist" which calculates the difference from the current row to the previous row.
I have no idea about Java Script, I am afraid, and also don't know if this is possible at all so it's probably a bad idea after all.
The reason for setting it up as an expanding table is so that the form can be used for all 32 instances the form would be used for (they would all require different amount of rows altogether).
The calculation would start in row 2 (Checklist.Table1), take the twist value entered in row 2 and calculate the difference to the twist value entered in row 1.
Then in row 3, it would calculate the difference between twist value in row 3 to row 2 etc.
So subtract value of field in rown with value in rown-1 or something in this direction.
Is there anyone at all who could help me with this at all?
I'd be very grateful for any advice you could give me.
Thanks a lot!
MathildaNot sure what happened with the formatting there, try this;
if (Row1.index > 0 && !Row1.resolveNode("NumericField4[0]").isNull)
var prevTwist = Table1.resolveNode("Row1[" + (Row1.index - 1) + "].NumericField4[0]").rawValue
var result = Math.abs(3000 / (Row1.resolveNode("NumericField4[0]").rawValue - prevTwist));
this.rawValue = result;
else
this.rawValue = ""; -
CAPP - standard value calculation origin 9 function module CE22.
Dear,
I've a project where i need to calculate standard value time based on multiple and various criteria. (standard price of a all components assigned to one operation)
I've seen that it should be possible to calculate a characterisitic value based on a function module in a method. (characterisitic value origin 9 - function module).
When i try to use the method with a function module I get a dump. ( CALL_FUNCTION_PARM_MISSING).
I don't find any documentation on the usage of a function module. as origin for CAPP.
Could you please help me ?
Br,
Daniel.There are so many threads and documentation available on the same..Please search the same.
Moreover if you share the error then it would be easy to know the exact problem

How to get attribute value from standard page ?
Hi,
How to get attribute value from standard page ?
String str = (String)vo.getCurrentRow().getAttrbute("RunId");
But this value is returning a null value ....
Can anyone help me to get this attribute value which is actually having a actual value .getCurrentRow() would always return null if no setCurrentRow() is used.
Please check the page design and understand how many rows of VO are there. You can also use the following to get the row:
vo.reset();
vo.next();

Calculating values from row to row with pure sql?
Hello,
I'm searching for a way to calculate values from row to row with pure sql. I need to create an amortisation table. How should it work:
Known values at start: (they can be derived with an ordinary sql-statement)
- redemption amount RA
- number of payment terms NT
- annuity P (is constant in every month)
- interest rate IR
What has to be calculated:
First row:
RA1 = RA - P
Z1 = (RA1 * (IR/100/12))
T1 = P - Z1
2nd row
RA2 = RA1 - T1
Z2 = (RA2 * (IR/100/12))
T2 = P - Z2
and so on until NT has reached.
It should look like
NT
P
Tn
Zn

I would like to know how i can create a bell graph with out using sub VIs, the data that i created consists in 500 readings with values of 0 to 100, i calculated the mean value and standard diviation. I hope some one can help me
Here's a quick example I threw together that generates a sort-of-bell-curve shaped data distribution, then performs the binning and plotting.

How to paste calculated values from Numbers?
When I copy calculated values from Numbers and paste into a table in Pages, I get an image like the one below. Non calculated values paste fine.
To get around this issue, I paste the calculated values into TextWrangler, then copy from there and paste into Pages. Is there a way to go directly from Numbers to Pages with calculated values?Hi 4th Space,
I you are pasting into a table in Pages, follow Jeffs instructions.
I you are not pasting into a table, this works. Copy the cells in Numbers. Go to your Pages document and under the Edit Menu > Paste and Match Style. It works like Paste Values.

Im new to Sharepoint.
I need to know , how to fetch the x1 , x2 values from one form to another form x1, x2 fields, this wants to happen when 2 forms ID fields(Drop down field) are same.
ex:
first module I have 3 fields like, "Marketing ID" , "Company name" , "Vendor name".
second module I have the same related fields like "Marketing ID" , "Company name" , "Vendor name" and some more fields.
now i need to fetch the information from 1st module to 2nd module ( "Company name" , "Vendor name" ) when I select the Marketing Id(Drop down - field)
it should be want to show in Calculated columns.
Can someone make a suggestion on how I can do this.
Thank you so much for any help you may be able to provide.
Sincerely
Ahalya BabuCalculated Columns can only generate a value from fields of the current item. And only some types of fields (for example, it can't use a lookup column).
Consider using a workflow to accomplish your goal.

Mapping values from the payload in the standard error message in PI 7.31
Hi,
I am working on files that are very large and when such a file fails with some error ,it becomes very difficult to track exactly for which record it is failing.
For example if the file has 6000 records and the problem is at 641st record,it takes a lot of time to identify which is the 641st record even with Notepad++.
One of the ways this can be taken care is if we can add any unique value from the record say "employee id" and add it in the error that we receive in the alert message.
Please let me know if any one has handled a similar situation or implemented any other solution to reduce delays in error analysis.Hi Indrajit,
Thanks for your response.
We have a dual stack installation but we have developed the Interface using only java stack.
In this case if we use SALERT_CREATE and define container variables in ALRTCATDEF,will it work?
Also the source xsd for all the Interfaces is same ,so we were thinking when a message fails at say Record[50],then we can take the 50th employee id and display it in the alert.
Do you have an idea if this is possible?

I have a subform that repeatable, how to i calculate a value from a fields from the repeated values?
Hi,
Try using the following FormCalc code on the "total" field which is outside of your repeating row/subform:
total.rawValue = sum(form1.Page1.Row1[*].Amount[*]);
Row1 - Repeating Row
Amount - Column dedicated to Amount
Hope this helps

Calculating a value from a item after pressing a button
Hi all
I would like to calculate the value of an item (highest available value in db +1) using a pl/sql-function after pressing a button. The result depends on an other item on the same page. The value of this item is not known while rendering the page. The result should be inserted in the item before saving/validate all other items from this page.
Part of SQL-Script for one possibility :
if :P601_OP = 1 then
select max(substr(sar_id, 5))+1 into :P601_SAR_ID from sar where substr(sar_id,0,3) = 'ORA;
end if;
Thanks for your help
MichaelHi Joe,
when creating a column link in your report you can pass value from your report columns in this link using the # substitution syntax, e.g. #MYCOLUMN#

Calculating Standard Error from Linest
I graphed some data as a bar chart and included positive & negative standard error bars. When I try to have the calculation of standard error in the associated data table, I find that the only function available is the standard deviation, which is related but not the same. My understanding is that the Linest function will produce an array of numbers, one of which is standard error, but I cannot figure out how that function works. How is the array produced? I tried inserting the Linest function in a cell of a table separate of my data table but it only put the number which is in the A-1 cell of the array shown in the Linest explanation and I don't understand how the rest of the array is filled out. The standard error for Y, which is what I am trying to obtain, is in cell B-4 of the array as I recall.
S,
If you open the Function Browser and select LINEST, under Usage Notes you will find a link titled "Additional Statistics". The linked content includes a map of the LINEST array. Use the INDEX function to access the element of the array that you are interested in. You may need to read the INDEX function description to know how to use it.

NullPointerException - Cannot get the value from variable f_cashGiven
In SubCheckout.java (a POS), what I want is when Payment button (f_cashPayment) is pressed, the action "Cash" is performed, get the value from Cash Given (f_cashGiven), do the subtraction and post the value as Cash Return (f_cashReturn). The code is filled in actionPerformed. But I cannot get the value by using f_cashGiven.getValue() from VNumber class. It returns NULL. This should be quite straight forward, but I do not know what is wrong. Please help!
