Calculation of Total weight with formula

Dear experts,
Case:
All these fields are in repetitive area
UoM Qty Weight ExpectedOutput
K -
100--20--
2,000,000

300
k--40-5--
200,000
Condition:
-If UoM is NOT equal to K then
Qty x Weight
-If UoM is equal to K then
Qty x Weight x 1000
How can this be achieved in Crystal Reports using formula?
Please advise.

Try this formula. Replace the fields with your data fields.....
If {Command.UOM} = "K" Then {Command.Qty} * {Command.Weight} * 1000
Else{Command.Qty} * {Command.Weight}

safety stock is a quantity of stock which should be planned to be in inventory to protect against fluctuations in demand or supply. Therefore it is considered in planning.
The Product Planning Details screen is mainly a planning screen, giving an overview on the planning situation for a product in a planning area. The projected stock reflects the planning behavior, displaying the shortages relevant for the planning run.
As the safety stock has to be always in stock, the projected stock takes it into account as an immediate demand. That is why it reduces the projected stock, for example, if the stock on-hand is 0, then the initial planning situation for the product with a safety stock shows a negative projected stock.

BW 3.5 - Issue with formula variable with replacement path

Dear experts,
I'm facing an issue with formula variable with replacement path.
Just to clarify, I know replacement paths is raising a lot of questions but I've been using this functionnality extensively in the past, both in 7.0 and 3.5, so I'm not looking for basic information about how to use it.
I'm trying to setup a simple report that would show total values per plant of Purchase Order < 100
To do so I've setup a calculated key figure as follow:
VAR1 * ("PO value" < 100 ) * "PO value"
VAR1 is a formula variable with replacement path on 'purchase order' and value attribute 'constant =1'.
(The report has to show values summarized by plant but should not show the detail PO by PO, so I'm not looking at a solution based on condition)
The report as characteristic "plant" in rows and my CKF in columns.
Now let's take an example. I have 3 POs in Plant 1:
PO1 -> 150
PO2 -> 90
PO3 -> 80
Because of the variable with replacement path, the result in my query should be:
plant1 = 170 (even though characteristic "purchase order" is not in my rows, system should evaluate PO one by one and return values only for those two that are below 100).
But the result coming is 320, which is wrong.
I've done the same report on many other 3.5 systems and it worked perfectly, and I am not able to get proper support from SAP OSS who keep saying that this functionnality is not ready in 3.5 (although I've provided screenshot of this working on another 3.5 system!!! how frustrating...)
They have also pointed to problems of Before and After aggregation but that has absolutely no impact. Once again, the scenario is working perfectly on other 3.5 systems with the same query design, so i'm sure it has nothing to do with Query Designer options.
Would anyone have ever come to an equivalenet problem? I'm wondering whether the DB itself could not play a role in the variable with ref characteristic 'constant =1' ...

The text variable is replaced when the exact date is clear for this key figure column according to the restriction.
To achive this, please make sure that either the variable is directly restricted in the key figure selection, or that the date characteristic is in drilldown.

I do not think there is any, you might need to create a Z field that. Get the help of your developer and do it. You might need to wirte a logic for the calculation...

How do I duplicate row or column with formulas?

I've never been a big spreadsheet user but I recall being able to intuitively (the only time ever with a MS product) find a way to duplicate a row or column in Excel so that it would replicate the same formulas as the row/column immediately adjacent to it. Can this be done with Numbers?
Example: Say I've got a row that has values across with a Sum Total cell and an Average cell calculated with formulas. I'd like to add other rows below so they inherit the same formulas (referencing cells in the new rows). I'm already getting irritated just thinking about having to assign formulas over and over again with each new row.
I hope I'm just missing something obvious.

There is a duplicate command under the Edit Menu item. The short cut is the apple key and "D". However, I have the trial copy and it is grayed out. Meaning it is not working. I have my bought copy arriving next week. Hope this is not grayed out in the bought version. This is a deal breaker. I use this command all the time. They need to fix this right away.

Issue with formula collision

I am facing an issue with Formula collision, below is an expample
My requirement is to use Column formula for the value (????) in the below table.
                              Restriction (C1)     Restriction (C2)     Formula(C1-C2)

I have tried using the below settings
1) Formula(R1+R2) "Standard"
2) Formula(C1-C2) " Use result of this formula"
But still getting row formula being used, please advice.

Select the Formula which you created Formula(C1-C2)
In the properties tab Go to Calculations--> Select the Check Box Cumulated
In the Drop Down for Calculation Direction Select --> Calculate Along Columns
If you require you can also select the Check Box Also Apply to Results

Oaky, at least we got that far. Next step is to determine if all those "numbers" are really numbers. Changing the format to "number" doesn't necessarily change the string to a number. The string has to be in the form of a number. Some may appear to you and me as numbers but will not turn into "numbers" when you change the formatting from Text to Number. Unless you've manually formatted the cells to be right justified, one way to tell if it is text or a number is the justification. Text will be justified to the left, numbers will be justified to the right.
Here are some that will remain as strings:
+123
123 with a space after it.

Purchase Order total weight

Hi Gurus,
I am working on an enhancement to handle the total weight of the purchase order during creation.We need to validate with few custom fields in MARA table to handle small pack and large pack materials based on container group(ZCONGR) . Based on the materials quantity we need to calculate the total weight of the order and if it exceeds 50 tonnes then we need to trigger a warning message to the user who is trying to create.
Please suggest me how can we handle this are there any enhancement where we can handle this requirement. Thanks.

Pricing on PO - Condition type with formula

I've one condition type with calculation type (KRECH) set as Formula.
For the calcutation of this condition I need to set this formula: Value = (Gross Price + Freight) * 0,0035

I have never tried this calculation type - G formula,
But in the pricing procedure config, there is a field Caclulation type whcih is used as Alternate calculation type.
You can createa new routine ( nothing but a logic based formula) for caclutaion and assign that to the new condition type.
This will ensure that if your gross price condition and freight are present then this condition type gets automatically calculated and get populated in the PO conditions.
For routine creation you need to take help of Abaper.
Routines are craeted in transaction VOFM

Calculations on Total column' fields(bps layout: dynamic calmonth)

hi friends,
in bps, output layout, based on dynamic calmonth i showing number of months. I want to system to calulate total(all calmonths) sum for a particular field.
Lead column    data columns
Expenses      apr2009 may 2009 june 2009.....mar2010   Total

Usually for caculating total in layout builder 2nd screen, we chose tickmark(total) and then write c(1): c(1)   like that or simply c(1) which calculates all calmonth values.
My situation is like this, user only enter number of year(s), in terms of range. I populate calmonth field using user-exit based on year range. Next using calmonth field in layout builder as dynamic field. Now user wants TOTAL of individual years along with calmonths. How can i put this condition in layout builder?
eg:
                   apr2009 may 2009......mar2010 Total(09-10) apr2010 may 2010 ...mar2011 Total(10-11).apr2011 ..Total(11-12).
Expenses   10           20   30..............
Next question, Can i do arthemetic calculation on total fields?
eg:
Lead column     apr09 may09 ....mar10 total
A                         10      20                           100
B                          20     30                             200
c                           10    5                              ????(this value i want to calulate by above totals eg:   (200/100)* 85.
Can it possible to get that?

It is not possible to hide or change the column width during design time if the layout is ALV.
However if the layout is used in WIB (web interface builder), I believe the column widths can be modified at run time. This would need additional coding.

The business requirement is as follows u2013 If the Total weight LIKP-BTGEW u2013 in the delivery, at header level - is greater than X kg. Then the user cannot save the delivery (i.e. create a delivery). The user shall get a popup saying u201CDelivery can not be created / saved because the Total weight is greater than X kgu201D
Which program and userexit can I use?

Related with USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_LIKP. It's true that this subroutine was designed to provide our own additional fields. If we modify standard field (not advisable), note says:
If standard fields of the structure LIKP are changed, you may have
to carry out determinations and checks that have already been
performed again to avoid data inconsistencies. Therefore, analyze
the dependencies before you change standard fields in the table
LIKP in this exit.
It goes on:
Data from preceding documents should be prioritized and transferred
using the copy control.
so, the solution to solve it in copy rules in my opinion is the proper solution. I'm not sure if LIKP-BTGEW is populated in this moment
So, create your own subroutine (999 for instance) with a coding as this:

Other suggestion is set a warning message in copy rules, and set the error message when you save it (think that it could be modify in a future). So use the USEREXIT_SAVE_DOC_BEFORE_PREP

Need Help with Formula

I am fairly new to Crystal Reports and could use some assistance. I have built two subreports with formulas to pull information into the main report. Now I would like to create a total per line based on the two values pulled from subreports, plus another column in the main report (the information is already pulled in). How can this be done?

The formula is placed in the subreport.
About the formula being placed in the main report. I am a little confused.
You said place it after the sub report section. The sub report section on the report includes two columns in the main report (each column coming from a different subreport). I am trying to make a column to the right of these columns with a line total of the three columns to the left. So on the design of the main page, I have a formula from the main page in one column, and then the other two columns come from the subreports.
I guess I don't understand what you mean by placing it after the sub report section, when I am trying to create a line total of the items in the columns. Can you please elaborate?
I apologize, I am still new to this! What I am trying to do:
Column A (Main Report) / Column B (From Subreport1) / Column C (From Subreport 2) / Total: ABC
Assume each column has hundreds of rows.

Cell formatting problem with formula

I have a table in my spreadsheet document, which contains working time details of my job. Column B is time of beginning, column D is time of stop. Both B and C columns are formatted as "date and time". In column E, there is a formula "=C2-B2", and so on for other rows, formatted automatically as "duration".
After a several rows (closing a month), in column F (at F14), there is a SUM formula of column E "=SUM(E2:E14)".
I tried to calculate the total sum for my monthly invoice at G14, with formula "=F14*6000", and i formatted this cell (G14) as Currency, but i see this cell as duration, after formatting the cell as currency too.

Charts with formulas

I'm using Crystal Reports XI and I can't seem to use the chart functionality with formulas. I see detail formulas available in the chart wizard (data tab), but I don't see my sum formulas in the wizard. The sum formulas are based variables that total numbers in the group footer.
Anyway I can create charts with these formulas that sum up values in the group footer?

A big short coming with CR is that it doesn't let you chart WhilePrintingRecords formulas. I tore my hair out for a while with this one.
Eventually I found a document with a work around on the Business Objects website. Its a SERIOUS pain in the *** but it does work.
The Doc is for CR9 but I'm using XI and it works. The document is called cr9_charting_print_time.pdf. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact location but you should be able to search for it.
If anyone knows an easier way don't hesitate to TELL SOMEONE. The thing with these forums is that questions like this don't seem to get answered to often.
