Calculator and clock on desktop
I want to add world clock and calculator which is their in dashboard to my desktop how to do?
I wasn't at the computer with Tiger when I posted before so did not post the exact path. Specifically, you can change common key assignments by going to System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse and select the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab. The instruction are on that pane.
Even after changing the settings, remember--to get F12 to eject the optical drive, sometimes you need to press and hold F12. Varies with keyboard, OS. and computer model. On my G4 tower, a "normal" keystroke is not enough. Takes a good half-second or more to respond, but respond it does!
How are you liking the Matias keyboard in general? I've heard good things about some of their models.

Charger Not Working, Desktop and Clock Reset, Malfunctioning
I have mid-2009 15 MacBook Pro. It's worked well up until now.
The green light on the magnetic charger has ceased to illuminate and the laptop is not charging. Additionally, the malfunctioning charger started at the same time as when the computer rebooted itself and upon starting up, my custom-made desktop was gone and the clock was reset to Jan 1, 1980 it said and when I looked, it said Jan 1, 2001.
Main Problem: I have data on the laptop which is invaluable. There's about 20 minutes of charge left and the charger isn't working.
Secondary Problem: The three problems described above (charger doesn't work, date and desktop automatically resetting on its own).
Never heard of that type of malfunctioning before. I need a solution to this malfunctioning charger problem.
NOTE: Knowing that because of hte reboot, the desktop and clock change it had to be more than just a malfunctioning charger, I used some remaining battery energy to boot off system software and it's still not charging.

I've zapped Parameter Ram and booted off System Software disks. Battery is now depleted. Bollocks. This *****, apple.

I have an iMac, and after installing Yosemite (OS 10.10), all my browsers (like Safari) no longer share the screen with other applications, like Word or even Calculator. How can I shrink Safari (or any browser) and share my desktop with other applications?
When I'm using any browser (at the moment, it's Safari), I am unable to resize the window. The browser BECOMES my entire desktop. And if I open another application, suddenly the browser vanishes to the right, so I can only see the other app. AND my dock disappears into a solid black space below the screen, which I can penetrate with my curser (after dragging the curser back and forth above and below the black space until the dock eventually reappears. But if I select any app in the browser to open, then Safari vanishes instantly to the right of the screen. I've tried to resize Safari (and Firefox and Chrome) by moving the curser to the bottom right of the browser, but that old standby doesn't seem to work anymore. The browser takes up all of the screen, except for a small portion of the top, where my curser can reveal Safari's old menus, and the bottom of the screen, which is entirely black until I can locate my dock by dunking the curser up and down in the black ooze.
I really want the old convenience of my Mac, where several programs can open side by side, but Yosemite seems to have precluded that possibility. What can I do? -

Yes, mission control threw everything across the screen (which is way beyond anything I could figure out), but the real answer I needed came from Apple Tech Support, which I finally called, and I learned about the two arrows in the top righthand corner, when I held the cursor there, which turned blue and resized and released the browser from total domination of the screen. Those two, opposite-pointing arrows allowed me to shrink the browser and let other applications be seen on the desktop. But thank you for extending a helpful tip, which I can use another time.

I upgraded from XP to Windows 7, and had to reinstall the Blackberry Desktop software. I'm looking for help to get it working. I've installed version 6.0. i'm on Curve 8330 (Verizon). Below describes mt efforts:
When I run the desktop software, I click "organizer', and then I connect the BB and wait unti the bottom right of the BB desktop software says "connecting...' then "sync". i then click the "configure settings..." and get a pop-up window titled "blackberry data synchronization" with message "operation in progress. please wait". The pop-up window self-disappears. It reappears every time I click the "configure settings..." button. However, this has run for hours. The software appears to be stuck in some sort of infinite loop.
So, I tried to repair the software as follows: Start - Control panel - programs and features - blackberry desktop software 6.0 - Next - Next (Repair is checked) - Install. I get a window titled "blackverry desktop software 6.0" that reads "The feature you are trying to use is on a netword resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate parth to a folder containint the installation package 'blackverry desktop software.msi' in teh box below. Use source: C:\Users\Jim\AppData\Local\Temp\WZSE0.TMP\
. I clock ok and try agin and get the message "the path 'c:\users\myname\appdata\local\temp\wzse0.tmp\blackberry desktop software.msi' cannot be found. verify that you have access to this location and try agin, or try to find the installation package 'blackberry desktop software.msi' in a folder from which you can install the product blackberry desktop software 6.0' I am unable to find this file on my computer, but "windows search" has been less than 100% successful for me in Windows 7. So, I clicked "cancel", and get the following message: "error 1706. No valid source could be found for product blackberry desktop software 6.0. the windows installer cannot continue. So. I click "finish".
So, I try to uninstall the software altogether as followstart - Control panel - programs and features - blackberry desktop software 6.0 - Next - Next (REMOVE is checked) - Next ("Remove all user settings for Blackberry desktop software" is checked.) - Remove. I then get the following message: "error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file c:\windows\installer\blackberry desktop software.msi". When I click "ok" to this window - I see "rolling back action" status bar. I then click "finish".
So,my efforts to use the software, repair the software, and uninstall the software have failed. Any advice?
I see no "blackberry desktop software.msi" in the c:\windows\installer\ folder. I am able to view hidden files in Windows Explorer (Tools Folder options... - View tab - "show hidden files, folders, and driver" is selected".
I'll restart my windows search index tonight.

Windows 7Thank you Viciousferret,
I re-downloaded the the 600_b047_multilanguage.exe to my PC using thelink you provided. I then ran it. I then did the following:
selected "NExt",
then "REMOVE" (the options were "repair" and "remove", not "modify" or "uninstall"), then NEXT,
then checked "remove all user settings for blackberry desktop software". then NEXT
then the REMOVE button
then FINISH
So, it appears the uninstall was successful.
The next step of your suggestion was to: "Then proceed with the clean uninstall by performing all the steps: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02206" This link provides 5 tasks.
1) The first task includes instructions to ": Uninstall BlackBerry Desktop Software". Should I skip this step because I already did it above? If not, would you please provide the instructions for Windows 7? Only instructions for other operating systems are shown here.
2) The second task is to "remove computer registry entries". The fifth step gives instructions for XP, Vista and 7 64-bit. i use Windows 7 (32-bit). Are you able to provide the instructions for Windows 7? Also, the instructions to back up the registry are: "select My Computer (or Computer in Windows Vista) at the top of the folder structure, click File, and choose Export to export the file to your preferred location.'. When i select start then Computer and then click File (after verifying the "Computer" is highlighted in theWindows Explorer window, I am not presetned with an opportunity to click "Export'. My options are 'add a network location", 'create shortcut (greyed out), "delete", "rename", "properties" and "close". Are you able to provide additional guidance as to how i am failing see "export" when i seemingly follow these instructions?
3) Step 3 gives instructions for deletig folders from teh computer. It also lacks instructions for Windows 7. Are you able to provide them?
4) Step 4 provides a link to follow. that link also lacks instructions for Windows 7 (32-bit). Would you be able to provide instructions for Windows 7 (32-bit) users? -

Cannot make a calculation and put conditions
Hi,
I'm using Discoverer Desktop version 10.1.2.45 and I want to make a calculation and put a condition but I can't. When I select Tools --> Calculations from the menu it appears the calculation wizard. When I click to new button I should see a window to make the calculation but I see another window with the following message instead:
Operation incorrect. The operation couldn't be made. (Translation from Spanish).
This message also appears when I try to edit a calculation. I thought Discoverer was installed incorrectly so I decided to reinstall it. But the results are the same. I can't edit and make any calculation.
When I try to make a condition I select Tools --> Conditions and it appears the condition wizard. When I click new button I should see the window allows me to introduce a new condition but it doesn't appears me anything.
I have made the same operations (a calculation and a condition) using another computer with the same Discoverer Desktop version and it works correctly. But in this computer Discoverer is in English (we have all computers with Windows XP in spanish).
Why I can't make calculations and conditions?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks.I have the same problem, Discoverer works very well
two months ago, but now it does not work.
Have anyone solved this problem?
GreetingHas anything changed in the last 2 months? What is not working? Which version? Desktop, Plus, or Viewer? -
Calculator image stuck on desktop
Somehow I created an image of the calculator and it is stuck on my desktop. It won't go away. It does not actually do anything. Any page that is open has the calculator in front of the page. How do I remove it?
1 - Relaunch the Finder via the ➙ Force Quit menu option.
2 - Reboot. -
Calculator widget on my desktop??? after upgrading software
I downloaded the new update today for OSX 10.5 and Leopard. After restarting my calculator widget is not only on my dashboard, but desktop too? I don't know why or how to get rid of it. I don't want or need it there. There is no X to clear it and no other widget came up on the desktop. So I'm stumped. Anyone know how to get rid of it?
What update did you install?
Please update your profile - it shows 10.5 which does not mean anything unless you are really running 10.5.0.
Are you saying that a calculator is on your desktop? It may not be a widget. Check your startup item list. Also what happens when you right-click it? -
Problems installing Adobe Air and BBC iPlayer Desktop
Problems installing Adobe Air and BBC iPlayer Desktop
I'm running Windows 7 32 bit on an ASUS netbook with 2mb ram. I installed both Air 3.7 and BBC iPlayer Desktop using Google Chrome. I downloaded 3 BBC programmes. Two ran fine but the third wouldn't start and I kept getting a message to try again later. I deleted this programme and downloaded it again, with the same result.
So I uninstalled both Air and the BBC iPlayer Desktop, the Air exe file and the two folders at the following locations:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\AIR\ and
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\BBCiPlayerDesktop.xxx
Since doing this each time I try to install Air either on its own or with the BBC iPlayer software I get the message part way through installation:
"Sorry, an error has occurred.
An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I have run the Microsoft Fix it programme and still get the same result.
I have tried everything on your Trouble Shooting page apart from the bit about the elevated command prompt, but as I'm the sole user and administrator, that seems unnecessary.
I have closed Chrome and tried installation using Windows Explorer but with the same result.
I have tried all the above with Microsoft Security Essentials running and disabled. And I have tried the same with Astrill on and off.
I have had a response from the BBC with much the same advice as appears on your trouble shooting page.
Here is the Air installation log, followed by the MSI log.

Emails are only being delivered to the WebOutlook inbox and not my desktop outlook
1. Big Problem: How do I get emails sent to my primary email address (name @ wealthblush dot com hosted by Go Daddy) to go to both the
Outlook Web App inbox AND the inbox of my desktop Outlook 2013? They only go to
Outlook Web App and not my desktop Outlook 2013.
How is the email account configured in Outlook (POP3, IMAP or Exchange):
POP/SMTP is for the user @ wealthblush dot com - this is the one where the email ONLY goes to the Outlook Web App, but not into Desktop Outlook 2013.
IMAP/SMTP is for the user @ charter dot net email. Emails go to both clients, but if I delete on one client it is not deleted on the other.
Exchange/ActiveSync is the outlook.com email and it only goes to my desktop Outlook.
I'm not getting any error messages. Mail is being delivered to the user @ wealthblush dot com, but only to Outlook Web App and NOT my desktop Outlook.
2. How can I change the inbox an email account puts incoming emails into? I read somewhere the way to do this is to create a search folder? This question is actually in advance of fixing
question number 1 above.
3. I don't know how I should configure my emails with the new Outlook 2013 now being in the cloud:
- I have an @ outlook dot com email I setup when MS came out with the free outlook dot com (hotmail), but I never used it because the reminders didn't work the same as in desktop outlook (not being able to snooze for a few hours
or days or weeks if I remember right and the way we get the alerts too).
- I also have an email with my ISP (@ charter dot net) which is a mix of personal and business emails. I've had this account for over 10 years.
- Finally, I have a business website (www dot wealthblush dot com) hosted by GoDaddy with one real email @ wealthblush dot com. I've already setup the aliases for several other emails in my new office 365 account (support,
sales, webmaster at wealthblush dot com) which are configured to pass into specific folders using Outlook 2013 Rules in my desktop outlook. I'm not sure if those rules are replicated into the office 365 account.
I still want the aliases to go into those folders like before.
4. In the case of my outlook.com email, they do go to both inboxes (on the web and desktop), but when I delete an email from one place, shouldn't it get deleted in the other place as well? How do I get them to synch?
5. And then there's my existing .pst files. I have 4 of them with old emails I've saved over the years that takes up just over one GB. I save these .pst files to DVD everyday so I can go back to look at something if I need to (and for hard drive
crashes). Does MS want me to import all that stuff to their servers and get rid of my .pst files? Does MS want me to put everything into one .pst file? It seems like it? If I do then I assume things need to be synchronized all the time between my file and
your .pst file? The synchronization process is as close as you can get to real-time, right? Or does each individual change get sent as it happens?
6. I also have a skydrive account from a while ago too. Is this where I should put my documents so they're accessible when I'm not at my desk? Now, that would be a LOT of data (probably close to 80 GB). Or, is the intention for us users
to only put certain current docs in this area. I assume these files can be synced with my desktop too, right? But I don't know how to. Do you keep old versions of the files in skydrive so we can recover them? I want to know if I can use your service to hold
my files (they would ONLY exist on your system and you'll back them up and I can get old versions back when needed).
7. Is an option to keep everything on my desktop 2013 like I did in 2010 of Outlook, bypassing the cloud and MS mail servers all together?
Sorry about all the questions, but I'm just getting the feel for your approach and need to decide how this all should fit together, do it, then go back to my business. I'm by myself at my company right now, but I'm planning on hiring a few people
real soon too so I need to keep this in mind. I've worked with Outlook since it came out, and I've configured it, but mainly only for myself and my family.R1: Seems you didn't configure you email account in your Outlook client properly. please refer to the following KB article and try to create a new mail profile to configure your email account again:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2758902
R2: Do you want create subfolders under Inbox to category your emails? If so, we can just right click on Inbox > select New Folder... After that, we need to create rules to move or copy your emails to each subfoler. See:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/manage-email-messages-by-using-rules-HA010355682.aspx
Besides, in order to avoid confusion and keep track of troubleshooting steps, we usually troubleshoot one issue per thread in order to find a resolution efficiently. Concerning your other question, I suggest we create new posts for your other questions via:

Thanks for the understanding.

How do I fix my left shift key? Any open windows leave and make the desktop visible.
How do I fix my left shift key? Any open windows leave and make the desktop visible. I have tired to go into system preferences and reset all of the keyboard settings to default but the issue hasn't gone away.
You are not running as administrator, I think, which may be required and the only way to properly work and register. Also check for compatibility mode settings, UAC and DEP, all of which may require to be adjusted for a legacy app like PS CS2 to run properly. Also turn off Aero and switch to a conventional visual theme. The brush issue may be related to that or is a more generic problem with your graphics card and mouse config, but since you didn't provide any info on that, it will be hard for anyone to advise.

The attached file is work inprogress, with some dummy data sp that I can test it out without having to connect to equipment.
The second tab is the one that I am having the problem with. the output array from the replace element appears to be starting at the index position of 1 rather than 0 but that is ok it is still show that the new data is placed in incrementing element locations. However the main array that I am trying to build that is suppose to take each new calculation and place it in the next index(row) does not ap
pear to be working or at least I am not getting any indication on the inidcator.
Basically what I am attempting to do is is gather some pulses from adevice for a minute, place the results for a calculation, so that it displays then do the same again the next minute, but put these result in the next row and so on until the specifiied time has expired and the loop exits. I need to have all results displayed and keep building the array(display until, the end of the test)Eventually I will have to include a min max section that displays the min and max values calculated, but that should be easy with the min max function.Actually I thought this should have been easy but, I gues I can not see the forest through the trees. Can any one help to slear this up for me.

regulation_tester_7_loops.vi 244 KBI didn't really have time to dig in and understand your program in depth,
but I have a few tips for you that might things a bit easier:
- You use local variables excessively which really complicates things. Try
not to use them and it will make your life easier.
- If you flowchart the design (very similar to a dataflow diagram, keep in
mind!) you want to gather data, calculate a value from that data, store the
calculation in an array, and loop while the time is in a certain range. So
theres really not much need for a sequence as long as you get rid of the
local variables (sequences also complicate things)
- You loop again if timepassed+1 is still less than some constant. Rather
than messing with locals it seems so much easier to use a shiftregister (if
absolutely necessary) or in this case base it upon the number of iterations
of the loop. In this case it looks like "time passed" is the same thing as
the number of loop iterations, but I didn't check closely. There's an i
terminal in your whileloop to read for the number of iterations.
- After having simplified your design by eliminating unnecessary sequence
and local variables, you should be able to draw out the labview diagram.
Don't try to use the "insert into array" vis since theres no need. Each
iteration of your loop calculates a number which goes into the next position
of the array right? Pass your result outside the loop, and enable indexing
on the terminal so Labview automatically generates the array for you. If
your calculation is a function of previous data, then use a shift register
to keep previous values around.
I wish you luck. Post again if you have any questions. Without a more
detailed understanding of your task at hand it's kind of hard to post actual
code suggestions for you.

If it not possible thru config how much will be the Development Effort
Thanks
