CalDav seems to only properly sync first one configured

Hi,
I've just configured a couple of CalDav calendars on my iPhone (syncing with Google) so that I can free up the Exchange connection for work.
I all looked fine, but it seems that only the first configured (or enabled) service is the only one that is properly syncing, i.e. if you change a calendar on google, then exit and restart calendar on the iphone the update is properly reflected. For all additional configured calendars it will only properly update when you change something on the phone end!
I've tried this with several different accounts and calendars and it's consistent ... so basically only one calendar will have proper 2-way syncing at a time. You can control which one by disabling all the others (so it's the only one enabled), then enable the others.
Not ideal ... must be a bug, surely?
Lee.

Open application iSync, go to "preference" on the top menu, then click "reset" syncing history. After done first reset, click reset again, this problem should be cleared.
For windows users, go to itunes preference to reset.

I am trying to transfer my purchases from my iPhone 5 to my new Mac computer.  I get the message stating that it can only be synced with one computer at a time.  I have tried the 2 other ways and I get no options to transfer my purchases.  Help?

If you see Devices in the big list on the left-hand side of iTunes, it should show the name of your iPhone right below it. You can right-click (or hold ctrl and left click) on the name of the iPhone there, and choose "transfer purchases from iPhone".
If you're on iTunes 11, you won't see the big list of the left until you go to the View menu at the very top (where you see iTunes/File/Edit/View/etc) and choose Show Sidebar. Then do the same thing: right-click or ctrl and left-click on the iPhone's name below Devices and "transfer purchases from iPhone".
It'll ask you to authorize the computer for your Apple ID if you haven't yet; to do that, you just type your Apple ID and password in when it asks. If it says you are not authorized but doesn't automatically give you an option to do so, then you can go to the Store menu at the very top and choose "authorize this computer".

  • My laptop hard drive crashed - when I go to sync my iPhone it says that my phone is already synced with another computer and can only be synced with one computer at a time.

My Dell laptop hard drive crashed - when I go to sync my iPhone it says that my phone is already synced with another computer and can only be synced with one computer at a time. When I hit sync is says it will erase my phone and sync with the new computer which is blank. How do I get my phone to sync my contacts, pics, apps etc. over to my new hard drive without losing anything.

Yes, so what's confusing... Did you not restore the backup of your data, contacts, pics, apps, music, etc. to the new hard drive after you replaced it or reformatted it or whatever you did? If so, then you can just sync your data back.
If not, please try searching the forum. This has been addressed hundreds of times here.

  • I have 3 consecutive movie clips that I am trying to drop into the drop zone but it only recognizes the first one and only produces the firts one in a DVD. How can I drop all three  movie clips into one drop zone

On IDVD, I have 3 consecutive movie clips that I am trying to drop into the drop zone to create a DVD but it only recognizes the first one I dropped and only produced the first one in a DVD. How can I drop all three  movie clips into one drop zone.

I have had some luck doing the following: Export each clip from imovie as a quicktime clip. Open iDVD and create a new project. Import a few stills into iDVD and then click on the button that gets created to get into the screen where the individual slides appear. Drag each quicktime into that screen and arrange in the order you want. You can then delete the stills. The button that appeared when you dropped in the stills will launch a complete show.

  • Is it true that iphone 3gs can only be sync to one computer?

    hi,iam trying to

It is true that all iPhones can only sync to one computer. Syncing to more than one computer can be accomodated somewhat, as in one for calendar and contacts and one for music, but it can cause problems.

  • Printing Raise_application_error only for the first one..

Hi, for each procedure i have a raise_application_error.. But after the first one, each one of the calling procedures print their applicaion error as well. How can I set this up so that only the raise_application_error from the function that's the exception is being raised from?

Well actually, i'm printing the stack using DBMS_UTILITY.format_error_backtrace appended to my message using raise_application_error,Wrong.
Therefore I don't need the other calling functions to print theirs, sometimes the stack is so deep that, error message gets cut off where you can't see the most important one.. I just want to make it so that only the first raise_application_error gets printed, which has enough information to debug..Wrong.
You are mistaken in thinking that turning the error stack into an error text string is valid. A text string is unstructured data. An error stack is structured.
And despite the fact that you can turn the error stack into a text error message, does not mean that the error stack no longer exists and no longer will be processed (and possibly displayed/printed) by the client that made the call.
There's also a reason for having an error stack and having a separate error message. The former is for code, debuggers and developers to make sense of - this explains the exact status of the call stack at the time of the error. The latter is the nice-human-readable-message that is for end-users and managers and the like. This explains (or should) the business/logical reason of the error.
It makes no sense to whack the error stack as text into the error message. What for? How does this make the exception any better to process or understand?

  • I bought a new computer, and i have transfered everything using home share, file transfers, etc.. yet still when i go to sync, itunes tells me ipod can only be synced with one computer... is there a way to retire the relationship with the old computer?

i bought a new computer.  the itunes app allows for home shareing, file transfers, etc.. but i want to discontinue the syncing with the old computer and sync my ipod touch now only on my new system... but i cant seem to disconnect that old relationship at all.. when i try to syncit says that my ipod is already synced with another computer, do i want to discontinue that and only use the new informationon this computer?  i dont want to do that yet because it doesnt seem like everything has come over, and i am afraid of losing songs that i downloaded from cds, etc..

if you don't want to sync it because you don't think that everything has been transferred then i would check first if you can, before you commit to used only the data from your new computer.
though, im not sure if this is true, but i think that when you sync your ipod to a new computer it will take the items from your ipod and put it on itunes, like when you purchase something on your ipod and it gets automatically transfered, but don't take my word for it.

  • I had to get a new computer and i cant move my new music to my ipod because it says can only be synced to one library. what can i do?

I had to get a new computer and I can not move my new music to my ipod because it says I can only have one itunes library. I would have to erase my ipod to use this new itunes library. Any ideas?

Copy or move the entire iTunes media folder from the old computer or the backp of the old computer to the new computer.

  • My I pod wont sync because it says you can only sync with one library I have recently reloaded windows

    help

Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time.  If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library.  If all the content that is on your iPod is in iTunes, there shouldn't be a problem. Just go ahead and sync your iPod
Otherwise, you are probably wanting to copy everything from your iPod back to your PC first. If that is the case, you should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabilng the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else,  authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account.  In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.

Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc.  For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases.  For all other nonpurchased iTunes content, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering different software availbable to assist you with this task.

Once the backup has been made and all other synced content such as music, videos, and photos are back in your iTunes library, restore your iPod from that backup you made earlier.  Here is more on backing up and restoring your iPod.

  • Mobile Phones can only Sync with one Library?

Sup all. My current mobile phone is Rokr E1 (the first phone with iTunes), hence I'm exposed to iTunes. The problem lies here. I had this library full of songs. However, recently I changed my com and accidentally lose everything(songs, pictures, videos,etc.). After getting my new com, I downloaded back iTunes and continued adding songs into my phone, but to no avail.
They tell me that a Mobile Phone can only be Sync-ed with one Library at a time, and that all my songs in my phone will be replaced by the songs in my new library (which there is none) if i adhered to it. In other words, I cant add new songs into my Phone without my old Library, but I lost my old Library. Any Ideas how to continue adding songs into my Phone? Thanks. Great Helps Appreciated. =)

  • MBA with CITRIX - shift key only CAP the first charactor?

My MBA connects to work PC (windows xp) via CITRIX(Citrix Online plug-in for Mac -web) in Snow Leopard, it seems like shift key + any charactor, only cap the first hit, it caused lots of trouble for my typing habit, as even I am holding my shift key and then press any keys, it will only cap the first one. I had tested in Snow Leopard, there is not problems with holding shift key to get CAP characters, only happen in CITRIX session.
Does anyone have the same problems and anyone know how to fix it?

Have you tried the version of citrix listed in the Apple App store? It can open most of the data files the plugin will open, and it seems to have a little bit better performance.

  • How come no matter what Stylistic Alternative I double click (salt, salt2, salt3 etc...), it only inserts the first alternative (salt)?

Using Illustrator CS5 on Windows 7.
Using an OTF with over 100 alternatives.
My problem for instance: I can see at least 5 different alternatives for the lowercase "t".  Each one labeled as salt, salt2, salt3, etc...but no matter which one I double click, Illustrator will only insert the first one labeled "salt."  This is becoming super frustrating.
    Thanks in advance!

I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever.
But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud.
iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.
Also see this , -> Download past purchases
and techncially, you don't "own" the movie, You simply have a license to use it.
Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library.
Actually, no it does not tell you that.
FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.

Paul--you are a life-saver!! Worked great. I did have to look around to make sure I was getting 4.9 instead of 4.7 (even when the file was named 4.9 at techspot.com), but I finally got the right file, did the install as you suggested, and everything is now fine. One note, though, that I haven't seen mentioned in any of this thread: when I first tried to open up iTunes after getting back to 4.9, the following message appeared: "The file iTunes Library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." I merely went to the old .itl file that was created when I did the update to iTunes 5, renamed it, moved it over to my now new 4.9, and iTunes opened fine. My library was a few days out of date, because of the few days' lag from the time I did the iTunes update, but that was easily taken care of, and everything's now working fine. Thanks again!!!
