Calendar and Contact won't start

Running Mavericks Server.
Calendar and Contacts won't start. Logs give me this:
05/03/2015 08:24:05.009 com.apple.launchd[1]: (org.calendarserver.calendarserver) Throttling respawn: Will start in 59 seconds
05/03/2015 08:25:05.443 com.apple.launchd[1]: (org.calendarserver.calendarserver[7670]) Exited with code: 1

05/03/2015 09:11:04.337 com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.apple.DeviceManagement.postgres[8493]) Exited with code: 1
This is also causing in problem in not letting me move the Service Data to a new volume. I get an error saying that it can't find the original folders for calendars.
I'm thinking some plists or db files have got corrupted somewhere. I've tried trashing the /Library/Server/Contacts and Calendars folder, to no avail.

Hello frenchguru and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
Thanks for your question on synchronizing your Contacts and Calendar.
Currently the BlackBerry® Desktop Software does not support data synchronization with the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet.
If you have this data in a supported email account, you can use Wireless sync to add this data. See KB30038 for the supported email accounts types.
Hope this answers your question.

  • Mac calendar and contacts won't sync with iPhone 5 since upgrading to Mavericks.

    Please,please, help,
My mac calendar and contacts (and who know what else) won't sync with my iPhone 5 since updating to Mavericks. I have lost new medical appointments on my mac which never synced to my iPhone. I am completely frazzled as I am a very busy mum (who isn't!) and the call centre is closed! A am a bit of a technophobe but have discovered the "info" tab that appears when I connect my iphone to my mac to sync has disappeared with Mavericks. I hope someone out there can help me.

Yes, you can reinstall your system from the backup you made before installing Mavericks. See this link

  • Google mail, calendar and contacts won't load but salesforce, facebook will - Help

When I hit mail, calendar or contacts words begin flashing so fast you can hardly read them...loading, google, mail etc. in the space to type in a web address. On the screen itself, the word loading flashes on and off, On the tab there is the same very rapid cycling of words, loading, google etc.
Other on line applications seem fine like salesforce, facebook etc.

  • Calendar and Contacts won't sync between my iPad (ios6) and iMac (mountain lion). I've trolled forums looking for fixes but nothing is working so far. Any ideas?

Not really sure where this question should go, since it crosses 3 topic areas. Neither my contacts nor my calendar will sync from iMac (mountain lion) to iPad 3 (ios6). I've tried a byzantine series of fixes - mostly involving backing up each, turning off cloud syncing, turning it back on, with lots of little steps in between (I'd be more detailed, but I gave up for several weeks and don't really remember them). Is this a real issue, or am I missing something simple? It's extremely frustrating to have what is advertised as basic functionality not work even a little bit. Especially when 3rd party apps sync just fine. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Calendars and contacts won't sync: "Inconsistencies"

I've seen several other topics with similar, but not exactly the same problem as me. Can't figure it out.
I've had an iphone 3g since July, with a MacBook Pro on OS X 10.5.6. No previous problems with syncing at all. A month or so ago, I turned off automatic sync for the phone in itunes preferences, and because I havn't needed to sync anything since then, no syncs have been attempted. Recently I added some new Calendar events on the laptop (without the phone plugged in), and immediately after each event, the "inconsistencies in your sync information for ical were detected and repaired" notice popped up, and I pressed OK.
Next time I plugged in my iPhone, I turned auto-sync back on, then ran a sync, and the inconsistency notice popped up for contancts, ical, and bookmarks, none of which synced at all. Also, in the "info" tab of the iPhone page in iTunes, no calendars, contact groups, or email accounts are listed. It seems to me iTunes or the iPhone thinks there's nothing to sync to. This happens every single time I sync.
Note that I DO NOT USE MOBILEME OR .MAC, and never have. I've reset my sync history in iSync, which didn't seem to help.

I'm assuming you mean the "replace information on iphone" options. I tried this, but it didn't work. iTunes isn't even registering any contacts or calendars; in the info pane it doesn't list any of them. So it has nothing to replace the iPhone info with. I think I basically need a way for the iPhone or iTunes to "remember" what's on the computer.

  • HT1296 I have changed from an iPhone 3 to an iPhone 4S and the calendars and contacts won't sync to my computer.

The iPhone 3 automatically transferred data from my phone to the computer and vice versa and would ask me to choose if there were any conflicts. The iPhone 4S doesn't. What can I do?

  • Mavericks Server Calendar and Contacts  services won't start.

Recently the calendar and contacts services stopped working.  Client computers started getting errors like this:
"The server responded with an error https://[some UID and a lot of other info]... is not a location that supports this request."
It was suggested by Apple tech support to do a free install/rebuild, but that's not really an option simply because of the wiki.  I've previously spent months trying to migrate wikis from Mountain Lion Server to Mavericks server; never coming across a working solution and ending up having to copy/paste every page from the old server to the new server.  Apple had no working solution for migration wikis and instead suggested a reference to a Krypted site URL (which also didn't work).
Other services are working just fine, but here are the symptoms we're experiencing:
Calendar service has reported a code 0 at one point, but did not continue the error
Calendar service has reported a code -1 at one point, but did not continue the error
Calendar service in can be toggled on, but the service never starts and stays offline even though the toggle switch is "on".
Calendar service full status in Terminal.app is stuck in starting
Calendar and Contacts services seem to take a while to load the status pane in Server.app
Client computers get repeated, non-stop, connection error dialogue boxes in Calendar.app
Occasionally when I try to see the Contacts service status by select it, I get "A networking error occurred while trying to communicate with the server" - this is using Server.app on the server itself, not from a client computer.
It seems the two primary problems are starting the services and therefore connecting to them.  Other services such as wiki and filesharing are working fine.
    Any ideas folks?
BTW - my Time Machine backup did nothing to help the situation.

  • Multiple Calendars and Contacts - and the real ones won't sync!

My iPhone (first generation, 4GB) has been working fine for the last 9 months but has developed a scary problem shortly after I upgraded it to 2.1 firmware.
The Calendar now shows as two separate "accounts", titled "On My iPhone" and "Untitled Account". The "On My iPhone" account has 4 different calendars (Home, Work, Untitled, and Untitled2). None of these calendars have any actual data in them, other than me putting in a couple of test appointments. The other account contains the three calendars that I've been using all along - those calendars have lots of appointments, birthdays, etc.
There's a similar situation with my Contacts. It suddenly shows two separate "Groups", called "Imports" and "Special Contacts". The "Imports" list is basically empty, and all my hundreds of contacts are listed in the "Special Contacts" group.
This is all a little puzzling, but the ugly problem is that my REAL Calendars and Contacts are not getting synced. All of my iCal and Contacts data has been wiped out on the MacBook that I use to sync my iPhone with. So, on my MacBook both my iCal and my Address Book are basically empty. (They used to have exactly the same data as my iPhone.)
Here's what I've already done to debug: My MacBook is running the latest Apple software (OS 10.5.5 and iTunes 8.0.1). I've done a "Reset All Settings" and also I've done an "Erase all Content and Settings" and then restored my iPhone from the backup on my MacBook. FORTUNATELY my Calendars and Contacts seem to have been backed up ok, even if they're not syncing. Also, just in case the problem was on my iBook, I also have tried to backup and sync to an XP laptop, also with iTunes 8.0 - no luck - backup/sync runs ok (no errors reported) but no Calendar or Contacts data is shown in Outlook.
Lastly, today, I talked to a Genius at the local Apple store - he looked at the iPhone for a few minutes, said he'd never seen anything like it, and didn't know what to do about it besides restoring the iPhone to factory condition and hand-typing in all the Contacts and Calendar data again. But really, I can't even do that - since the data won't sync, I can't even print it out!
    Any ideas????

I found a posting from a few weeks ago that sounds like a very similar problem to mine:
    http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=121467&st=0&p=859382&#entry8593 82
I still haven't found a solution. My calendar and contact items seem safe on my iPhone, but I need to be able to sync them to my MacBook.

  • Centro won't Hotsync Calendar and Contacts with desktop

Here's my problem.  I hotsync, but my Calendar and Contacts don't transfer to or from the handheld to the desktop.  I'm using a Palm Centro and trying to sync with Palm Desktop 4.2.1 on a MacBook running MacOS 10.4.11.
I already tried a complete restart of my Centro, erasing all user data.  I then hotsynced it and it restored from the backup on my MacBook, but this did not fix the problem.  It restored my contacts and all my apps to their prior status, but I lost all the Calendar data in my Centro.  I still have the data on the MacBook from whenever it was just before it stopped synching correctly.
The log proposes that I run the Contacts and Calendar applications and then run a hotsync.  I did that, but no results.  I still get the same stuff in the log.
    Please help.

This may be dumb, but I did not think to look for this until i called Palm for help...
After I had issues syncing, I re-installed the Palm software..when you do that, it sometimes turns off the ability to sync. To confirm that you have the ability to sync,  open Palm Desktop and go to Hotsync --> Setup, and check the HotSync Controls to see if it is "Enabled"
Also, if you have problems syncing with Entourage...try this...

  • All of a sudden, my iphone won't sync calendar and contacts...says unsupported.

All of a sudden my iphone 4 won't sync calendars and contacts. It says unsupported apps. Any ideas on the problem or troubleshooting?

    Sync from where?  iOS version?

  • ISO4 won't sync Calendar and Contacts to MobileMe

    Dear Guys,
After upgrading to iOS4 these couple days, I couldn't have my calendar and contacts sync'ed with my Mac via MobileMe.
I even "Restored" the original settings and re-installed everything back to the iPhone. And, no, it does not work.
    Any idea? Appreciate your help.

I have always synched directly via the USB cable. I am now using Windows 7 with Outlook 2010 and iSO4 and can't synch the calendar and the contacts. Although I did have some problems synching contacts with the previous iOS version, I had no problem synching my calendar. Since upgrading to iSO4, I haven't been able to synch anything. It is maddening! I even tried MobileMe a few days ago hoping that I could synch my calendar through it, but it didn't work either. Apple support last month was absolutely of no help. I may go back to a BlackBerry if the problem isn't solved soon.

  • I was successfully synching my old PC (Vista and Oulook 2003?) but cannot synch on my new PC (Windows 7 and Outlook 2010).  The settings in the control panel are correct, but changes to the calendar and contacts in Outlook 2010 just won't show up in the i

I was successfully synching the iCloud with my old PC (Vista and Outlook 2003?) but cannot get changes to my calendar and contact changes in Outlook to update in the iCloud.  THoughts?

I'm having the identical events...Outlook calendar entries grayed out on my PC installed iCloud and absent on my iPhone. iPhone entries do show up in Outlook.

  • BIS calendar and contact sync unreliable

For years I've been using a SyncML client to sync my BB with my Google calendar and contacts and this has been 100% reliable. However, the annual licence fee is due soon so I thought I'd try the BB built in sync.
I set up my Gmail email account to sync the calendar, contacts and deletions. The initial sync went well and looked promising. However, my joy soon turned to despair as several sync issues have arisen.
Timing for any changes to take effect for a start! If the entry is made on the handset Google Calendar or Contacts update almost immediately. However, entries made online are hit & miss! It never syncs immediately and sometimes it's a few minutes but other times it's several hours. As I need to keep my phone and PC in constant sync I can't be sure if the sync has actually happened. Contacts changed on the computer take even longer to sync to the handset and can be from a couple of hours to more than a day..
There are also issues with the sync of certain calendar entries. In particular, recurring entries, for example: I set up a new entry on the PC (in Google Calendar) to repeat weekly for 10 weeks. I subsequently deleted 1 of the weeks on the handset but after the sync Google Calendar had also deleted an extra week at the end of the run. There are other examples but clearly recurring entries cause a problem. I can possibly live with the delayed sync but not the errors.
I've found that deleting the Gmail account and re-installing it resolves most issues for a while but that's not a practical solution. There's no point in Blackberry providing a sync feature if it can't be relied on but I'm not sure if this is actually a Blackberry problem or the network (Vodafone UK in my case). However, unless I can rely on the service it looks as though I'll need to renew my SyncMl license!
Any one else having these problems or can offer any help?

The lack of a reply from RIM on this topic and several others that are similar is disappointing.
I replied to another entry that had a similar issue. Rogers was also singularly unhelpful (they recommended I downgrade from 6.0 B2647). In my case, the BB has wireless sync turned on but it doesn't actually sync. the DM won't let me backup the calendar or restore it because wireless sync is on (even when I've turned it off).
Fingers crossed that RIM will fix the issue or at least answer with a workaround. Current workaround is manually syncing BB and online calendar each morning. Not good!

  • Can't hotsync my calendar and contacts now

I got my Centro (Verizon) two days ago and it worked great.  I received both my comcast email and my EAS email from work.  I did one hotsync at home two days ago without any errors, but once I went into work and the centro started a wireless sync to our email network everything changed. My personal contacts and calendar are now on my Microsoft Outlook 2003 at work and the centro won't hotsync them to my outlook 2002 on my personal computer.  I have done just about eveything I could think of.  I did a hard reset, set up both my email accounts again and got a few things to hotsync to Outlook 2002 at home, but the contacts and calendars just won't.  There is no error.  They just aren't listed in the hotsync log on the device.  I checked the conduits in the hotsync manager.  Every thing is checked. I have changed settings, such as set as default, but it just wont sync them. I am at a loss, hoping that my company's IT people can help. Any suggestions? Thanks, Linda
PS. My IT person is telling me that my Centro won't hot sync via the cable now that I have used my company's EAS. So, how do I undo this?

Because this type of account in VersaMail performs all of its synchronization over the air, HotSync conduits for Calendar and Contacts are disabled, to avoid duplicates when you sync through your USB cable.
After you set up the EAS account, and HotSync your device twice, the calendar and Contacts conduits will be disabled; they will only update on your Smartphone through an over-the-air sync.
Zane(Thu Aug 14 14:31:35 PDT 2008)>If you’d like to switch back to synchronizing your Calendar and Contacts through the USB HotSync cable, you will not be able to use over-the-air Exchange ActiveSync.
