Calendar app in iOS folder displays date wrong

Every time I check the date by looking at the calendar app, it will show the incorrect date (off by 1 sometimes 2 days) until the folder is opened. I know this is a persistent problem as I can recreate it everyday knowing the date will be off the same amount. Any tips?

Hi i had this happen to me too i fixed it doing this......Tap on settings, tap on general ,scroll down to date and time tap on it,tap on set automatically now manually change the date and time a day ahead now come out view the app on home screen it should have changed to the date you set ..... now go back and change to correct date , this should be fixed now . i have had no problems after doing this .Hope this helps.

  • Calendar app in iOS can't set complex recurring events or arbitrary alert time.

    Dear Administrator,
I find the Calendar app in iOS very limiting.  It should not be difficult for Apple to include features that allows arbitrary alert time (45min before the event) or complex recurring events (repeat every 4 months on the first Thursday of the month).  Do I miss something or Apple did not include these features in the system software.  It is really inconvenient.  Please help.
    Sincerely yours,
    Zigang Pan

The built-in calendar app does not support complex recurrances.  If you want to do that, you'll need to use a different calendar app, such as Fantistical 2 or Week Calendar.

  • Calendar app icon is stuck on date of upgrade

Since upgrading on Saturday to Yosemite, the calendar app icon is stuck on Saturdays date (8 NOV), but if I open the calendar the correct date is highlighted (Nov 11).   I have tried quitting and restarting calendar but that doesn't do anything   Oh and it is still asking for a password to my google account every time (really irritating).
    N.B. I am NOT technical!!!

Thanks for the suggestion DaVBMan, sadly it didn't work. The only thing that did work was to wait until midnight and it corrected itself. In the mind of the phone it lived a whole day twice and then skipped one completely in order to get back on track. Very odd and also I have since discovered it has happened to a few of my friends too.
It's not happened again so I have no idea what so ever what caused it. Fingers crossed it never recurs.

  • Create entry in calendar app when tapping on a date in the app

    Hello,
I've been researching the internet on this topic but haven't really found a solution for my problem: I'm using the Adobe DPS Single Edition for iPad app magazines and I'm creating the content in Indesign CC.
I have an event list page in the magazine and there's a date for every event (sometimes 1 day per event, sometimes several days for 1 event). When the user taps on the date (or a button), that date shall be entered into the calendar app that is pre-installed on every iPad. How is that possible? Can you please help me?
    Thanks in advance,
    Helene

  • Calendar app eating up my mobile data

Since upgrading to an iPhone 5S with iOS7 I've regularly used up my mobile data allowance of 750 MB by the mid of the month. Almost never ran into that problem with my iPhone 3GS and iOS6.
I've checked mobile data usage in the settings and apparently the Calendar app is the culprit. It has racked up 421 MB in ten days. I am using iCloud. How is that even possible? Is anyone else having these kinds of problems with the Calendar app?

Same problem for me too. (iPhone 5 not 5S)

  • In Calendar app for iOS 6, behavior of badges is inconsistent

My company has a good number of iPhones and iPads using Activesync to access our Exchange 2007 email environment. We have noticed that the behavior of "badges" in the Calendar seems inconsistent or inapporpriate.
Example: UserA has iPhone and iPad, both running iOS 6, and Outlook 2007 under Windows 7.. Both iOS devices share the same AppleID.
UserA receives a Calendar invitation. The invitation shows up on all three devices as an email. The "badge" count indicating the number of unresponded-to Calendar invitations count increments by 1 on iPad and iPhone. So far, so good.
UserA opens the invitation on the iPad and accepts or delines the invitation. The badge count decrements by one on both iPad and iPhone. Again, so far, so good.
But if UserA opens the invitation on the iPhone and accepts/declines, the badge count decrements on the iPhone, but NOT on the iPad. Doesn't make any difference how long he waits; refreshing mail on the iPad has no effect on badge count.
This (mis) behavior seems quite consistent. Do we have a setting wrong somewhere, or is this a known bug? I should say the badge counts on a number of my iPhone and iPad applications behave in, let's say, an unusual or uninformative manner. But this behavior in an enterprise environment is driving my CIO crazy.

Search the app store. There are several MS Office compatible apps. Quickoffice and Documents to Go are two to look into, but there are more. Numbers can certainly be used "offline" and personally I prefer it to many of the othes available (and you should be able to download a prior version: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5919). Depending on the specific needs, however, there may not be a substitute for Excel on a computer. No iOS spreadsheets apps handle pivot tables, for example, or include the ability to use macros.

  • Issues with the calendar app on ios 7

Since upgrading to ios 7 it has shown the month view of September, but when I try to view Oktober, it only shows the first week. When I go to the year, it crashes. How can I fix this? I need to be able to see the entire month/year.

Restart your iPhone by holding the home and power button down. If it doesn't work, then talk to the developer of that app.

  • Calendar app icon is displaying the wrong date

For some reason on my iPhone's homescreen the icon for the Calendar app has today started displaying the wrong date.
It should show today's date, Monday 6th but instead it reads Sunday 5th.
What confuses me is that the phone does know the date is Monday 6th as the lock screen shows it correctly and also when I actually load the Calendar app it starts on the right date. Also, when I load the multi task bar the Calendar app icon there is correct. See the attached photo, which shows the Calendar app on the home screen (faded, middle left) displaying yesterdays date Sunday 5th, while the app icon in the multi task bar is correct, Monday 6th.
Syncing the calendar with my iMac does not correct the error. Equally, turning the phone off and on again has not sorted it.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing the fault? And more importantly how to correct it?
    Thanks.

  • How to force refresh in iOS 7 Calendar app?

Is there any way to manually initiate a refresh in the Calendar app in iOS 7? (I'm using iCloud to sync my personal and shared calendars with two Macs and two other users.)
In the iOS Calendar app, at least between the introduction of iCloud and iOS 6, you could show the list of calendars and then tap the refresh icon (two arrows in a circle) at the bottom of the list. In many other apps you can do so by pulling the main list view down and releasing. But I have not found any way to force iOS 7 to do this. If there is no such mechanism, consider this a feature request.
"Wait until the app refreshes by itself" is not really a valid answer to this question. Sometimes it just doesn't, and a manual refresh might help break a log jam. And sometimes you're about to get on a plane and need to be sure your calendar is up to date before you go into Airplane Mode.

I just did this successfully after the described methods above failed. (I could not push, fetch, or manually refresh)
Note; this is not a refresh, but a quick delete / re-install
    1) settings; icloud; mail off, calendars off. (temporary, and not sure it's neccessary)
    2) back to settings; mail contacts calendars; gmail account; delete.
    3) add acount; reinstall your google account! (only took a few seconds to load everything back from google servers)
    4) turn your icloud back ups on again if you wish and back up new data. I dont need to back up my gmail neccessarily, neither my calendar, now that I know how to reload direct from Google.
    Why I wanted to figure this out;
I got an I phone replacement, (Thank you Apple!) but my i-cloud backup had filled up over a month ago, ( I chose to ignore)  so I lost only the new data up to today's replacement ( calendar entries,  texts, a  new contact or two, and a month's worth of the only game I play.. real racing 3.. errr..so i just deleted the game:-)

  • Ios 7.1 Calendar APP STILL broken

I have an iPhone 5S - updated to 7.1 yesterday. Nice to see the old view with the calendar and summary at the bottom but when I went to hit the Magnifying glass for the "List View" the thing is a SEARCH now? WHAT!? Apple broke the calendar APP in ios 7.0 but at least the List View was there. Come on apple - put the list view back for busy people that need to see more than 2 things at the bottom of the screen.
Oh - and my awesomely awesome battery life that I had prior to the update is now reduced to 1/2 of what it was. Trying a few things I found on communities to fix this one. Hopefully I can get that back.

There should be a button on the left side of the magnifying glass. On the current day it will give you a summary of the actual day, when I click on another day that button changes its icon and will allow me to look at the list view with all upcoming events.
If you you do not see any button you could try to reset your iPhone.

  • Does calendar app need to be open for iCloud sync?

    Hi @all,
I was just wondering the following about the sync function with iCloud: When I add a new calendar entry on my MacBook will it be pushed automatically to my iPhone from the cloud without having the actual calendar app open on the iPhone? I am asking because I am not frequently connected to a data network so what happens with this new entry in my calendar? Let's say I connect to a data network but don't open the calendar app. I leave the data network connection open for a while and then close it. After closing the data network connection I open the calendar app but the new entry does not appear. Will the new entry be synced to my iPhone only when I open the calendar app and only when I am connected to a data network at the same time?
    Thanks
    Martin

Define background.  Do you mean the app open but minimized or app is actually not open.  I have photos in my dock for quick access.  It is closed and does not have the dot underneath showing it is open but minimized.  If the app is completely closed is iCloud working in the background upload/downloading photos?

  • Calendar app wrong date/days

i have a fully updated iphone 5. My calendar app is showing the date on the wrong day of the week from January 2015 onwards. In yearly view it is OK but is wrong in monthly view. Also in monthly view September 2014 is missing and I have 2 x October 2014. Can anybody help????

    Hey Naomi1111,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing a weird issue with the calendar application on your iPhone 5. To troubleshoot, let’s first try restarting the Calendar application:
iOS: Force an app to close

Next, let’s check your Date & Time settings to make sure they are configured correctly:

  • How to set up iOS calendar app with shared Google Calendar data

At work (in our small office) I've been given access to the shared Google Calendar that has our work schedule. It was set up using this page (click on Share an existing calendar):
    https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37082
The question I have is how to set it up to work with iOS calendar app on my iPhone?

"currently there is no shared group calendar support."
Well, not really. You hinted at it with: "set up a group wiki."
Go into Workgroup Manager and set up an Open Directory group. Add people to it.
Each client must then go into iCal --> Preferences --> Accounts and add an account. The name and password entered must be the same as that added to the group, Kerberos must be unchecked, and the account URL will be like (fill in the blanks properly):
    http://<your domain name here>:8008/principals/groups/<your group name here>/
Now each properly logged in user of that group can make changes to the shared group calendar, without any "hacks" like making dummy users and delegation.
However, I am getting a notifier: "Request Error: Accesss to <event name> in <your group name here> in account <your group name here> is not permitted." But that seems to be a lie, since multiple members of the group can make changes and others can see the changes.
Oh yea, make sure you have a functioning DNS with valid reverse lookup.

  • Calendar app not working iphone 4 IOS 7

I just upgraded to IOS 7 on iphone 4 ... i cannot add events in the new calendar app .... i hit the + to add type everything in hit done and when it goes back to calendar view nothing is there ... when i synced some appointments got mixed up and put on wrong days now when i hit that appt it just comes up as event details and i cannot edit or delete .... ive search the internet and it seems no one is writing about how to use the new calendar app i need some direction
    thank you in advance

I am having the same issue. Every time I add an event, it disappears. The only events that are displayed are the ones prior to the ios7 update and I am unable to delete those events. If I try, they just reappear right after. I restored my phone. Also, rebooted/reset. I tried turning calendars on and off in icloud... I refreshed the calendars in the calendar app. Nothing works. I hope apple gets a solution soon are maybe I just need to download a different calendar app...
