Calendar app on my ipad no longer swipes sideways?

Following the latest ios update, I can no longer swipe sideways on my Calendar app, nor click on date in month view to bring up that day?

Swiping right to left only works in day and week view, swiping up and down works in month and year view.
Tapping on a day in year view will let you go directly to that day. In month view, you have to tap and hold down on the day in order to create an event on that day.
As far as I can remember, it worked this way in iOS 7.0.6 as well.

Calendar app crashes on iPad after adding Google account

I just loaded my Gmail account on my iPad 2. The native mail app works fine but when I try to access the native calendar app, it flashes on for a second and turns off leaving back at the home screen. I deleted the account and went back to the app and it works fine (no sync with my Gmail calendar obviously). When I re-enter my Gmail credentials the app continues to crash. Thoughts?

First of all: Now it works! Yeah :-)
What I did:
1. Kill my iCloud account just on the iPhone. Not on the iMac, just on the iPhone. And I told the iPhone to kill all contacts etc. JUST on the iPhone.
2. Activate iCloud on the iPhone with my Apple-ID.
3. After about 3 Minutes all was back again! :-) Including all my calendars now! Yippieh...

Why will the apps on my iPad no longer work?

On most of my apps, when I try to use them, the iPad closes the app and goes back to the "desktop" screen. This even happens when I try to go into my settings to look at my setups.

Tried this. No apple logo appeared. It just went back to the screens showing all my apps and folders.

The iPad is designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer for contacts and calendar events. The contact Groups I've created with the Address Book on my Mac and the different calendars I have with iCal on my Mac are available and kept synchronized with the my iPhone's Contacts and Calendar applications, and the same applies to the iPad.
Long story short, this is done with the supported application on your computer used for syncing contacts and calendar events.

The calendar app locked itself out when I tried to view March 2013 on iPad

The calendar app on my iPad 2 will not let me view march 2013 in the month view. It switches itself off whenever I attempt it. Any idea how I can resolve this problem, please? It is quite ok if I go for the day, list or even year viewing option.

IPad Calendar App cannot add google calendar

I have just purchased an iPad Mini 3. Have added google account but for some reason the google calendar does not show in the calendar app. It works fine on my iphone. In fact, in the "settings" page of my iPad there is no "default calendar" line, although there is one on my iphone. Anyone have any ideas how to add my google calendar to the native calendar app on the ipad?

Problem solved!!
As I mentioned I tried everything I could think of to fix it, but nothing worked. But in a desperate attempt I did a factory reset of the device, and skipped everything I could and jumped right to setting up my Google account. And suddenly it showed up!

Try force closing the app. Double tap the home button. Scroll sideways if needed to bring the icon and preview of the calendar app on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. THen single tap on the home button or the home page preview to exit the mode and try your app again.

Provided the App is compatible with the iPhone, first sync your iPad with iTunes then when you next sync your phone using iTunes, click your iPhone in the left hand column, then click the Apps Tab in the line of Tabs running near the top of the screen, now search for the App you want to include on your phone. iCloud will not sync calendars from an external account such as Google. If you have a Google calendar and want to sync it with your iPad, add your Gmail account to your iPad by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>Google and turn Calendars on. Multiple google calendars synced to my ipad with exchange but the entries don't appear

I've done this many times before with various iphones, but my new ipad2 vexes me. I want all my google calendars to appear in the calendar app on my ipad. I've:
set up the google account as an exchange account
signed in to m/google.com/sync
selected the correct device
enabled the calendars
you can see the complete list of calendars in the the cal app, but the actual events don't appear.
if i create a new event on one of these invisable calendars, it appears.

Auto propagation in Calendar app

Any way to automatically propagate a standing meeting on the same day (like 2nd Sunday) each month in the Calendar app?

The ipad calendar app does not support this directly, You can set them either in calendar for Mac OSX or through a desktop browser connected to icloud.com.

Calendar not syncing on iPad

Hi folks!
I rcently updated all my iOS devices toIOS 5 and all my Macs to the latest Lion release. All iCloud functions are working GREAT with the exception of the calendar on my original iPad...
None of my iCloud calendars are syncing to the iPad. I am also unable to add a new event within the calendar app on the iPad. Mail, Contacts, Photo Stream, etc. all working fine. Not so good with the calendar.
Thanks in advance for any assistance in resolving this perplexing issue.

Finally resolved this issue by deleting my iCloud account on my original iPad (choose to remove all account content) and then recreated it. All content (mail, contactes, calendars, etc.) pushed right through. iCall working as expected - can edit, add, etc. events.
...and all is well with the world once again.

No need to shout.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

I updated my iPad to 7.0.6 but I find the new look very irritating. In mail I can no longer swipe left on a message to erase it. The font in calendar is so small I can't read my appointments. I happen to like the yellow paper that was in notes.

You have to swipe from right to left to delete mail.
In the settings, accessibility you can make fonts bolder, that helps a bit.
THe yellow paper...sorry, no tweak for that unless you find a different notes app to use.
