Calendar App which Shows Day or Week on Startup Screen

Anyone know of an app that shows the current day or week on the startup screen? In other words, when I power on in the morning, I'd like to see the current day's or week's events pop up.

There is no app as that screen cannot be modified by any apps.

Stock calendar app not showing GCalendar entries

This is in regard to the stock calendar app' which comes with the Samsung Fascinate. I have all calendars selected as viewable too.
I do like I did on my old phone and also make entries into the phone local calendar "My calendar". These events show in the time-grid-listing-location for their time of day. I now also have combined those along with GCalendar entries.
Googles' do show as a dog-ear on the by Month (for their day), and, also on the Week, but never in the time-grid-listing. "My calendar" entries "DO" show in the time listings.
How do I get the Google calendar (which, by the way, is synch'ed ... I know this also because the GCalendar entries show as a mass-listing at the top of a Day listing, but, not on the time-grid-listing, and, notifications via a GCal' entry work fine too) to show also? Can they not, and/or, do I need to go to the market and get a better calendar app'?
Thanks in advance! Not adverse to abandoning the stock calendar in favor of a much better/robust market-app'. Curious which of a potential multitude is a/thee pick-of-the-litter.

I am almost positive the "MyCalendar" is local-only (only stored on the phone). I have not looked for where it is stored on the phone (either internal mem' or the SD card). I suspect you can find out there the naming convention of that file if you need to back it up. I fear that hard-reset.
I roll 3 GMAIL accts plus the 1 local calendar (for stupid little reminders only). In the new 2.2 Android OS, there appears much better view-ing ability between them, or all, and turning certain ones on and off manually (open the stock calendar app', hit the menu button, hit settings, and then hit calendars (bunch of checkboxes for all of your calendars, even those subscribed to via google)).
I don't know if you can pick a default calendar - mine always automatically chooses MyCalendar, and, once an event is created, you are stuck with that event in that calendar (little bogus).

Calendar app wrong date/days

i have a fully updated iphone 5. My calendar app is showing the date on the wrong day of the week from January 2015 onwards. In yearly view it is OK but is wrong in monthly view. Also in monthly view September 2014 is missing and I have 2 x October 2014. Can anybody help????

Calendar app never shows red badges

I like the default calendar app but would like it to show red badges when there are events that I haven't looked at to check. I have seen others get these so why dont I?
Are there any other calendar apps that show the red badge?

Howdy Mike,
It sounds like you want a red notification badge to appear on the Calendar app which is in the dock on your Mac. You can enable this feature from System Preferences, as described in the article linked below.

Let the app show the number of notifications on its Dock icon.

Why does calendar app icon show current date, but weather app icon does not?

i.e. At time of writing this post, the calendar app icon shows "Sunday 16" but the weather one always always always shows "23 degrees"

HA! I figured the find my iphone out!!!!! You can have more than one icloud account in "Mail, Contacts and Calendars". So my husband's & kids' phone icloud account under "settings, icloud "is their individual @me.com account. Set it to everything you want EXCEPT Find My Iphone. Then under "settings, mail/contacts/calendars" you set up both accounts (your @me.com which may already be there), then add another with the main appleID and enable ONLY Find My Iphone. Now when any of us log into Find My Iphone from any device with our main apple ID for the app store, all the devices show up!!!! YIPPEE. I made my own day!
I think the message I got previously was because I hadn't disabled the find my iphone on the @me.com account first.

Calendar.app not showing First Day of Week selected in iCal

I have selected Monday as the first day of the week in iCal. After syncing, Calendar.app on my iPhone 4 does not show Monday as first day of week. My original iPhone 2G (3.1.3, jailbroken) does show the correct start day, Monday.)
I do not need assistance with my iPhone 2G. I need a solution for my iPhone 4.
How do I get my iPhone 4 to be in sync with my other calendars?

That's a real pain. I'm in Australia and the regional settings have Monday as the first week, which throws me out because all my calendars and even settings in iCal have Sunday as the first day of the week (which is what it's supposed to be). To get what I want, I have to set my country as New Zealand, and this messes up my phone number formats (closest to Australia than any of the others that start the week correctly though). It should be an option in the settings!

Calendar app missing Fathers Day

The calendar app that came with my iPad does not identify Father's Day although it does identify Mother's Day. Is this an oversight?

If I have to continually be bombarded with startup screens featuring the offensive offerings of the week (Kick-a$$ the movie, Enema [yes, that's how I spell his name], et al), I am going to go back to iTunes 8.2. At least there I didn't have to be forced to watch over and over and over in an endless loop the worst movies and music of the year.
Dear iTunes: Not all your buyers are 13-15 years old. In fact, some of us are a little bit older and most of our music collection has been downloaded legally (from your store, of all places!). Can't say that much for this target audience you seem to be wanting to attract.

The Calendar app is showing a calendar from an iPhone that is no longer associated with my Apple ID or iCloud ID, why is it doing that and why can't I remove it?

I just bought a MacBook Pro and am having some problems with the calendar and contacts list, and my problem could be causing other issues that I am not aware of. So, this is what's happening:
I had two iPhone5s associated with my Apple ID for a while. When I got this MacBook, and learned of Family Sharing, I decided that it would be better for each user to have their own unique ID. So, I have deleted and set up a new Apple ID and iCloud ID on the phone I want separated from MY Apple ID and iCloud. I want the computer to be associated with MY IDs, not the other phone. However, the computer still thinks the two phones are one in the same, despite the other phone being removed from both accounts and being registered with different IDs. Things I have noticed: The calendar on the computer still has the old phones calendar and still has all of the old phones contacts. When I went to use FaceTime and iMessage, the old phone number still shows up as an option. The old phone is still connected to something, somewhere, but I can't figure it out. My data, contacts, and calendars also show up, both phones show up all over the computer and I only want ONE phone, MY phone to show up.
Things I have tried:
Deleting the accounts from iCloud & iTunes
Updating the OS
Rebooting, phones and computer
Logging out and logging back in
Creating a new user account on the computer
Probably several other things I'm just not remembering because it's 4 am and I've been doing this since 11:30 pm and am completely exhausted.
I've literally been Googling and browsing this forum for hours and trying everything I see, but nothing is working. The computer still thinks it's connected to the old phone. It's making me crazy because the user has literally 39 alarms every single day reminding her to do different things. It makes me absolutely crazy because the notifications are popping up on the computer. PLEASE, HELP ME!

How can I print from Calendar and only show days with events?

There were several threads under iCal asking this question but never an answer. Basically, how can I print a list of selected events without getting all days with NO EVENT?
In my case, what I want is in one Calendar - so I just want to print that one.

I see how to do this for a given month. Sorry I thought incorrectly the solution above would work.
Open the month you would like to priint. Do "Edit > Select All" from Calendar's menu (or command-A, which does the same thing).
Do File > Print > <Change view to Selected Events>.

Why does apple have a good calendar app that shows U.S. Holidays?

The calendar that comes standard on macbook or iphone does not show u.s. holidays? Why not? I cant find a good easy to use app either?

Comment column in Calendar app OOB shows 10:00 8:00 in chrome while giving inputs as 8:00

I have sharepoint calendar and in comments column when i am typing "8:00" it gets converted to "
10:00 8:00"
in google chrome. In IE it works fine. To reproduce follow the below steps.
1. Create a calendar library
2. Add an event.
3. Edit the column "comments".
4. By default you dont find any options to select the type of column.
5. Now to add a one more column say "comments 2" with multiple line of text.
6. By default it type will be
"Enhanced rich text (Rich text with pictures, tables, and hyperlinks)".
7. Add an event and type "8:00" in new ly created column.
8. Edit the new column and change the type to "Plain Text"
9. It will display the above html tag as well "10:00 8:00"
10. If you change the column type again to rich text it will behave normal.
Now the issue is with default column "comments" which is still giving the above html tag in google chrome when we write similar to 8:00

You will have to use program that allows that kind of appointment/meeting set up - outlook/calendars. And then sync to your phone.

It sounds like your calendar app is showing incorrect information. I recommend first closing all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
