Calendar application deleted, can it be reinstalled without a disk?
Using OS X Mountain Lion downloaded fro App Store.

Completely deleted using AppCleaner.
I was trying uninstall the small application also called Calendar by Qbix, llc., thinking there was a conflict, and deleted the wrong one.

My Outlook/iCloud calendar invites to others appear to work on my end and sync with my PC and mobile, but when other people "accept" the invite, it will not populate/add in to their calendar. How can I fix this without turning off iCloud?
I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks!

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...
one more bug in a complicated system I guess

  • How to reinstall without a disk

    How DO I
    reinstall without a disk

You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available. If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number. Here's a list of links to all of those - http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/intlstoreroutingpage.html  Another resource:  International Support Phone #s.

  • If I delete a 'paid' app from my iPad, can it be reinstalled without having to pay for it again?

Hope someone can help me.  I own an iPad (first generation) - 32MB and am running ios 4.2 on it.  I downloaded a language program and paid $15 for it.  When I try to launch it, it comes on for 1 second and then crashes and brings me back to my apps screen.  After reading several posts here, I'm getting the sense that I may have to delete the app and attempt to download it again.  However, I'm hoping that I'm NOT charged an additional $15 to download it again.  Since it automatically debits my credit card, how will I know that it hasn't charged me for the same app AGAIN -- without having to go view my bank card statement?
Appreciate any help on this matter!
    Thanks.  Othello727

There is one caveat. The app still has to be in the app store. As LNG as its in the app store and you paid for it once you can download it again. Also before you download it check to see I fit has been updated. Many apps require a later iOS to run that the version you reported.

  • Looking to buy T420 with no OS, can it be reinstalled without buying disc

New to this site and I hope to get help with a possible purchase of a T420 that recently came off lease and has
the factory installed windows 7 professional operating system cleaned from the computer.  Is there an online or inexpensive way of reinstalling the OS without having to spend the $100+ for a new disc.  The computer comes with the key code.

Download the iso for the version of Windows that came with the PC.  The Cert under the battery will ID the version and have the product code.
Burn the iso to disk and install.  It will activate on that CoA.

  • Hard drive deleted-can I reload Tiger without the startup disks?

Earlier this week we had some powere outages in my own which I believe contributed to some computer issues. I have been a Mac user over 10 years and have nevre had a software issue, hardware only (and by hardware I mean someone dropped my laptop down some steps, it broke, end of story.)
Through reasons unknown, I had some safari issues which graduated into kernel errors which ended up with a corrupted hard drive which I was advised by anothe mac user to erase.
Unfortunately, I do not have the Tiger software package, I bought my mac as a floor model with the software installed. I do have the 10.3 disks which I loaded but is there a way to get my 10.4 back?
I am a student so I had backed up any work/school files but not anything else-itunes, photos etc.
Is there any way to find the OS on the computer anywhere?

A warm welcome to the forums!
How did you erase it? With the Panther Install disk?
You cannot upgrade from Panther to Tiger without a Retail version of Tiger, or the even rarer "Upgrade" disk for that Mac... if there even was one indeed.
Be very careful shopping for a Tiger Install disk, there fetching insane prices right now, and most are Machine Specific.
The only possible recovery of files on that hd would require somethink like Data Rescue II...
    http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_rescue.php
AND would require another HD with plenty of space to recover to.

  • My browsers(firefox and IE) seem to direct me to incorrect websites, if i uninstall them both, how can I then reinstall without internet access?

The machine (an old dell inspiron laptop) use superantispyware free version, which seems to have stopped being able to update its definitions.
When googling 'superantispyware', my browser seems to redirect me to incorrect, dodgy-looking websites.
This happened off both Firefox and IE, so I thought I'd try uninstalling my browsers in case they were somehow compromised, corrupted.
So my question would be, can i download an install file for Firefox for XP on my other machine (which runs Vista) and copy and load it via a usb stick?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

  • HT1544 Can I install leopard without install disks?

I need to re-install Leopard on a friends mac. He has leopard installed atm but he doesnt have the installation disks. Is there someway to create a bootable usb maybe using the current installation? What other options I got?

How did you intend to do this without a clone or install disks? You can get reasonably clean OSs via a clone and updaters but if you now wish to explore newer OSs my general advice is below.
Many people are happy with OS X 10.5.8 but if you want to update here is my general advice:
To get information about your Mac click the apple (screen top left) and select About this Mac. This will give you your OS number. Then click More Info to see which Processor you have. If it says PowerPC you cannot upgrade to Snow Leopard and above as these OSs are for Intel only. You can discover more about various Macs at: http://www.apple-history.com/
The OS numbers and names are:
    OS X 10.4.x - Tiger
    OS X 10.5.x - Leopard
    OS X 10.6.x - Snow Leopard
    OS X 10.7.x - Lion
    OS X 10.8.x - Mountain Lion
If you have an Intel Mac it is well worth upgrading to Snow Leopard now and then considering other options after that.
You can buy Snow Leopard here:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A
For details about upgrading this to Lion or Mountain Lion see:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD256Z/A
In each case check that your Mac complies with the requirements.
If you are not in the US you should use the Change Country link at the bottom of the page.

  • How can I install CS4 without the disk?

I've tried moving the actual files to an external hard drive to move to my new computer, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the programs to work on my new computer.  I have the old computer with the working CS4 right here next to me, and I've deactivated CS4 on the old computer, but when I try to open the applications on the new computer it gives me an error saying the licensing has expired.

You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

  • How can I install CS6 without a disk drive?

    Hi there!
I recently purchased the Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium addition.
The sales person at the store assured me that despite not having a CD drive in my Macbook Pro there would be a way to install/download the suite with the product information in the box.
So far, all I have been able to acheive is recovering my serial code. I am compeltely at a loss of how to even begin to start the install process without the a disc drive.
Is this possible or did the sales person send me down the wrong road?
    Thanks in advanced!

  • Reinstall without OS disk

I bought my iMac G5 off ebay, and all was going well until one day it wouldn't boot. It wouldn't get past the apple logo, fans were attempting orbit (On full) etc. etc. I have tried all the hints off the web for solving the Turbo Fan problem, but none have been fruitful. The issue is that as I bought my G5 off ebay, the seller shipped it with the original Tiger disks (As he should, as he installed Leopard after purchase). I now want to try reinstalling Leopard (It's on the HD, just possibly corrupt), but my conundrum is, no disks for Leopard. And weirdly enough, the Leopard disks off ebay are more expensive than Snow Leopard! I might have to go back to Tiger, and I was wanting some info on the features of Tiger compared with Leopard (What I would miss out on), and whether it would be worth 'downgrading', or if there was any unlikley chance of reinstalling from the HD image.
    Many Thanks,
    Tecwhizz

Next time after the 2 above choices, you should always have a bootable backup of your Mac's hard drive. Since you have an iMac, the backup HD must be external & connected via Firewire. If you had a backup HD, you could boot the backup & run Disk Utility on the internal HD.
Meanwhile, Will it boot in Safe Mode? See What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? (Mac OS X)
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107392
Takes a while to run, but it usually "fixes" some problems.
Another thing to try. Will it boot using the Tiger installer DVD? This would indicate that booting is OK. Also on the disc that you got, should be a copy of the Apple Hardware Test. You could run the AHT to see if there might be a hardware problem.
     Cheers, Tom

  • New Calendar Application or add ons!

    Hello every one!
I would like to know if there is another calendar application that can be used instead iCal. I find iCal too simplistic and lacked of basic functions such as advancing to a previous or future year, month without having to go thru the pain of browsing the whole calendar to reach your target day. Perhaps any add ons that makes iCalendar a better calendar will do.

Thank you John M I appreciate the tip, that was very helpful . Nevertheless my question remains unanswered, therefore I will keep it unanswered for the time been. I would like to find a better calendar program. Then the next problem will be the comparability with the iPhone Ahhhhgrr!
    Hank!
