Calendar Appointments out by 1 hour

This seems to be a common problem but there does not seem to be a fix for it.
The problem lies in recurring events. For example if we create a recurring event in outlook for the next 2 years and then synchronise it with the iphone it will appear in the calendar as normal however if you roll forward to November 2012 (GMT) all appointments are out by 1 hour. If you then roll forward to April 2013 Brittish Summer Time (BST) all appointments are back to their original time.
However if you hit edit on an appointment showing the wrong time then the actual editable date and time are correct. It is the displaying of the time that is the issue.
I have tried changing the time zone support etc but that does not fix the problem. I assume if I chose another timezone that is the same as GMT but does not have the Brittish Summer Time change this would be a workaround.
Is there a fix for this?
Thanks
David

Worked 1st time!
Thanks.
Now where can i get some software for the phone? What format are the presentations viewed in?

  • ICloud calendar times out by one hour

My iCal is fine, this is where I usually enter my info.
iCloud is one hour behind, I have entered the correct time zone. It doesn't matter where I access my iCloud from it is still out by one hour.
I did take some screenshotsof both calendars to demonstrate but the content was not 'allowed' to be uploaded, whatever that means. Any ideas

this is the solution fromanother post
Well, I finally figured it out myself.  It is not very intuitive.  By double-clicking on the account name in the upper right of the main iCloud window (in one's browser), one can change the time zone.  However, by itself that will not cause anything to appear differently.  Nor will telling iCloud to refresh the calendar.  It is necessary to logout of iCloud and then log back in.  That sets all events in the right time zone.

  • Text Messages & Calendar Time off by 1 Hour

Hi. Does anyone else have this problem?  I can't seem to find it in the forum discussions when I search.  Please direct me if I missed it.
My time zone is correct.  Here's the situation.  When I open the text message app all the messages are listed and the time in that location is correct.  When I open any one of the contacts to view the text message it is ahead by one hour.  To clarify..if you send me a text right now at 10:22.  In the list it will show 10:22 but when I open up our discussion your message says it arrived at 11:22 even tho it isn't even 11:22 yet.  All messages do this.
    Calendar
The calendar acts similar.  If I enter an appointment in SCHEDULE mode (the little arrow at the top changes the view) then all appointments will be ahead an hour but when you go into the appointment to view it..it says the correct time but views wrong.  So viewing your day at a glance in this mode shows all appointments out by an hour.   Because of this I have had to use my calendar in AGENDA mode or view so the times show up correctly and don't drive me crazy.
    Anyone??
    Thanks
    Solved!

Thank you for pointing me to the post.  Unfortunately the workaround doesn't  work.
The only work around for this problem is to keep your calendar in Agenda mode for anyone else having same problem.  And we have to live with the text messages being an hour off until an update comes which might be never in this province...yes a slam to Sasktel..thanks

  • All Calendar appointments shifted 1 hour later after DST went into effect.

After this year's (2011) DST went into effect my wife's and my pre's appointments all shifted one hour later.  This was for appointments both before and after March 15 and also for appointments input into both a palm profile and also google appointments.  In looking at the forums this appears to have been a problem last year but I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this issue this year.  Both of our phones have been running 1.4.5 since it was made available.
I online chatted with customer service and also called.  They had me try toggling airplane mode, turning airplane mode off then turning network time and network time zone off manually selecting the mountain time zone and then turning everything back on.  They also had me do a data reset on the phone.  None of these worked.  Lastly they had me manually set the time zone to Chihuahua, Mexico which is on mountain standard time.  This shifted the appointments back to their original time but the clock now was off by a hour earlier.

Same problem here. How could they not have this fixed by now? Anyone have the golden answer?

  • Sync with MS-Outlook-Calendar, some entries accurate, some entries out by 2 hours

I've been using a Palm and Outlook since 2000.  While not perfect, they do syncronize nicely.
For a PDA, I need an accurate calendar with details/notes inside of them (contacts, email, mobile telephone are secondary for me)
I'll state again, having a small portable calendar is my #1 (I think my calendar has about 10,000 entries)
I purchased a Curve 9320 yesterday.  Installed BB Destop S/W (but I can't tell what version? - where do I look?) on my XP laptop
did a one way sync from MS-Outlook-2007 to BB (no way am I doing a 2 way Sync until I 100% trust BB)
looking at my calendar entries on my BB, some are correct, some are out by 2 hours (e.g. instead of 1 pm, they say 3 pm).  Huh???
My BB date/time, and my PC date/time are within a minute of each other
I need to have my BB calendar accurate.  Help please???

    Hi Shaloooom:
Thanks for your reply, hwever, both the iPhone and the computer clocks are set to Sydney, Australia. Also, the error is only occuring for a small amount of diary entries, not all of them which adds to my confusion.
    Thanks

  • Calendar time off by 1 hour, only on iCloud

My calendar on iCloud on my Mac is showing all the appointments 1 hour later than it should.  On my iPhone and in the calendar app on my Mac, they're correct.  It's only in the iCloud web page that they're wrong.
Anyone know how to fix this?

randers4: That was it! It was set for Atlantic time instead of Eastern.  As soon as I changed it (and signed out and back in), all the appointments shifted back one hour.
Thanks! I would have never thought to look there.

  • Calendar appointments blocking my alarm clock alerts

    Hey all,
Have imported my Outlook calendar appointments into iPhone so have tons of appointments (and their associated reminder alerts) in my iPhone calendar. It seems as though if an appointment reminder alert goes off when I'm asleep in the middle of the night, the reminder alert is actually preventing my iPhone alarm clock from going off the next morning.
After having missed a few morning appointments because of this, I noticted that upon unlocking my iPhone the next morning, the alarm would THEN go off, even if this was literally hours after it was supposed to ring.
Any ideas as to how to prevent this? Other than literally deleting every appointment out of my iPhone calendar going forward, can't seem to figure out how to prevent this from happening again. Thx in advance for any help.
    -Jose

Nice to know I'm not the only one! This just happened to me this morning and I thought it was wierd too. Make sure you submit a bug report to get Apple's attention on this, it needs to be fixed.

  • Calendar events off by 1 hour on iPhone and iPad

Since Sydney went into daylight savings time this week, events entered on my Mac appear 1 hour later on my iPhone, and events entered on my iPhone appear 1 hour earlier on my Mac.
Clock on Mac and iPhone both agree on the time.
Time zone on Mac (System Preferences>Date & Time) set to automatic timezone which is correctly displayed as Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
Time zone on iPhone (Settings>general>Date & Time) set to auto and currently displays "Sydney".
Time zone support on iPhone (Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars) set to 'on' and time zone displayed as "Sydney"
Interestingly, the same problem also affects my iPad, and affects both my iCloud calendar events and my Google Calendar events.
Any ideas about what I should do?
    Thanks,

change to exchange calendar. Is there any method to edit all appoints in my
calendar at once and change the calendar setting?

Not sure this will work but if you go into the Keyboard preferences, then click the Keyboad Shortcuts tab, and then the '+', you can add your own shortcuts for any application.  I am not sure what happens if you try to override an existing shortcut since I haven't tried using this.
    Edit/Update:
Probably against my better judgement I'll also throw this out there - there's an Unsanity haxie called Menumaster which might also allow you to do what you want.  Against my better judgement because personally I stay clear of haxies.  It's (all haxies) probably almost certain to break in Lion.  They always do with each major release.

  • IPhone 3G Email and Calendar times off by one hour (slow one hour)

My times which I send/receive emails or put appointments on the calendar are 1 hour slow as compared to my computers. I have Mobile Me and Mobile Me (on the computer) and my Outlook emails and calendars match and my current time is correct on all. On the IPhone 3G the current time is correct but the time a email is sent or received and all appointments on the calendar are both off by one hour (one hour slow on the IPhone 3G).
I have set time automatically in "settings" to on, and under "email contacts and calendar" I have time zones disabled. I have tried each possible combination of these settings but cannot get the email/calendar times to match between my computers and the IPhone 3G regardless of how these are set.
I have numerous computers and all times are correct on all. On the IPhone 3G the current time (the clock) is correct, but times in emails and calendar appointments are all off (slow) by exactly one hour no matter what I do.
Anybody else have this issue, and/or know what the solution might be?
    Thanks
    The Omega

I have tried that and it did not work. I am now trying it with everything set to enable DST, and see if that works. Everything, so far, seems to be in sync. The phone would be right for a second when you went into the calendar and then change to be an hour off. Strange. I think the settings I have now (all, Windows, MobileMe, and the IPhone 3G set to DSL on, the same) may be working. Only time will tell.
    Thank you.

  • Google calendar times show plus 1 hour later on ipad and iphone between april and october

  • Private calendar appointments?, private calendar appointments?

I really like the ios5 update on my iphone 4, but there is still one integration issue with outlook calendars that I either cannot fiture out or is not present. That is, how can one create an appointment on an iphone that shows up as private when synched to my workplaces outlook calendar?

If you Google "can't mark an appointment private on iPhone/iPad/iOS" you will find that there are thousands and thousands of people that are asking for this feature since 2008, and Apple seems resolved to ignore the outcry.
The point of the feature, and the reason calendar collaboration actually *works* as a practical matter, is to allow people who you share your calendar with to see that you're busy at a certain time of day.  In plenty of cases, the details are private (a doctor's appointment, travel reservation details, a romantic getaway with your spouse, your mom's birthday, your anniversary, etc.)
Why won't Apple add this incredibly important and useful feature to the calendar? Is there some strategic decision at work here?  If so, it's above my pay grade; iOS is beloved and adopted by millions of people.
Millions of people use MS Exchange at work.  iOS, in fact, integrates beautifully with Exchange in almost every other way.  Apple does not have a corporate groupware product that competes with Exchange.  So why not remove one of the last barriers holding people back from ditching BlackBerries, or for that matter, using their iPads at work n a more meaningful way?  It's really puzzling.
There are dozens of other forums with this exact same sentiment. We know that Apple loves the user and values the quality of their experience.
Please, we, the users, implore you, Finish this last mile for us. Add the "Private" checkbox to calendar appointments for Exchange calendars. Or at least do us the courtest of responding with an answer as to why you won't.

  • Calendar appointments cut off notes - syncing error?

My calendar appointments cut off the notes to just under 500 characters on random appointments - how can I make sure the full notes sync? I am syncing my Microsoft Exchange Calendar between an iPhone (iOS 8.2), iPad and Outlook on a desktop (Office 2013 v15.0.4701.1002).  Several coworkers have the same issue with varying frequency of occurance.

Well, I feel like an idiot, but sometimes the biggest problems have the simplest solutions. I actually did not have my PC set to adjust for daylight savings time. So I turned it on, then had to manually set the clock back an hour. Now the appointments in Outlook are at the correct time and when I sync my iPhone it no longer moves ahead one hour after.
Thank you very much for your help.

  • Session time out up to # hours for Interaction center

    Hi Experts,
I want increase the web ui session time out up to # hours. I tried using SMICM and Technical Profile. But using these options i could not achieve such long session. I tried using RZ 11 icm keep alive parameter, but the effect will apply for all the applications in the CRM WEB UI.
I want do this for only Interaction center application not for all other application in CRM WEB UI .
Please help me how I can do this.
    Thanks
    Dinesh

    Hi Dinesh,
This cannot be achieved without development enhancements to some standard SAP framework component, to introduce a "keep-alive" concept. If you are using a CMS for CTI or email integration, you need to ensure it supports keeping the communications session alive also.
