Calendar Built in Syncml support or Free Connector

Hello,
Since we are facing a lot of bugs with the Sun Java Com Sync Connector i'am looking for a (better) synchronization tool (too many duplicates events after sync, compatibility problems, etc.)
It seems only synchronica is providing a JES connector for SyncML synchronization.
Do you know if there is a Syn4J(funambol) connector or any other "gateway" or connector that works well with JES Calendar ?

  • Why no SyncML-support for Harmattan??

    I've used SyncML on my N95 with memotoo.com for years. Worked very well. I took it for granted that SyncML would be supported on the N9. But alas, it isn't. I find that really incomprehensible. Worse yet, CalDAV syncing with memotoo doesn't work - I don't know who's to blame for this, but on the desktop it works flawelessly so I do have a suspicion. Even worse: there is no way to sync contacts using CardDAV.
    MeeGo (the true MeeGo) has SyncML-support out-of-the-box. And the N9/N950 does have SyncML-support for bluetooth.
    Yes, contacts syncing is supported for Ovi. And Google. And Facebook. But I do NOT want to use those services, because of grave privacy risks and because they use yet again some proprietary protocols.
    I wonder, what where they thinking at Nokia for NOT supporting some well-known open standards??
    (While I'm ranting: why is there ^%@$ Facebook and GTalk-support over XMPP, but no self-defined XMPP account?? Yes, you can add such accounts from the terminal, using mc-tool, but really that's just a kick in the teeth. And where's UPnP/DLNA-support?)

    Hey Guys, Did you figure out any way to do PIM sync via SyncML on N9?
    I am struggling to get things moving as I come from N8.
    N9 just doesnt have any way to sync calendar, tasks with Ovi. Same with Notes.

    What you see is what is available.
    Turning the iPhone into landscape mode with Month, Day, or List view selected provides the closest thing to seeing an entire week.

  • N86 support for free Navigation

    Hi
    I am thinking of ditching my Iphone and coming back to Nokia (because of the free navigation!). I really like the look of the N86 as it has all the features which are important to me.
    Can anyone tell me if it will support the free navigation software in the near future? I am not too impatient so don't mind waiting, but don't want to buy the phone and find it is not compatable.
    Thanks

  • Operations supported by CMIS connector

    I was wondering what all operations defined by CMIS, are supported by CMIS connector that comes with Drive 2.1 esp. from Windows Explorer. When I right click in Windows Explorer, the Drive context menu gives only these options - Check out, Check in, Cancel check out, Show versions and Connect to. But the tech note for CMIS connector says that we can even rename a folder, create a new folder (and a few more operations) by selecting options in context menu. I believe those are not certainly the options provided by Windows but should be somewhere in Drive menu.
    Some clarification would help greatly.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    You want to use Adobe Drive + CMIS Connector to test your CMIS server, right? Because the operations in Adobe Drive, for example, rename operation in the context menu can uses serveral CMIS services, like getObject, moveObject, updateProperties, etc, you have to know exactly the CMIS services used by Adobe Drive for each operation.
    Thanks,

  • Does OC4J's built-in JMS support transactions?

    I am using Oracle App Server 10.1.3.4 and OC4J 10.1.3.4, with the built-in OC4J JMS implementation. I have created a simple MDB that receives messages in the onMessage() method, and rolls back the transaction by throwing a runtime exception. (I have also tried rolling back the transaction by calling messageDrivenContext.setRollbackOnly().) In either case, the result is the same. The message is basically lost and never redelivered. If the transaction is rolled back, shouldn't the message be added back to the queue for redelivery? I have waited several minutes, and no redelivery ever occurs.
    My code looks something like this:
    @MessageDriven(activationConfig = {
              @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "ConnectionFactoryJndiName",
                        propertyValue = "jms/QueueConnectionFactory"),
              @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "DestinationName", propertyValue = "jms/MyQueue"),
              @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "DestinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue"),
              @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "ReceiverThreads", propertyValue = "5")
    @TransactionManagement(TransactionManagementType.CONTAINER)
    @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRED)
    public class BidOptimizeMDB implements MessageListener {
         public final void onMessage(final Message msg) {
              throw new EJBException();
    In jms.xml:
    <queue-connection-factory name="jms/QueueConnectionFactory" location="jms/QueueConnectionFactory" />
    <queue name="MyQueue" location="jms/SEMBidQueue" persistence-file="MyQueue">

    You "care if it is a global transaction" because you use the corresponding annotation .
    @TransactionManagement(TransactionManagementType.CONTAINER)
    @TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRED)This makes OC4J start a global transaction. Your config uses a non-xa connection factory that does not obey the Transaction Manager and setRollbackOnly does not work for this reason.
    There is another problem with your setup.
    "For message-driven beans using the OEMS JMS (in-memory or file-based) message service provider, <Required> is supported only if you access this message service provider using the Oracle JMS Connector. For more information, see [Restrictions When Accessing a Message Service Provider Without a J2CA Resource Adapter|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32110_01/web.1013/b28221/undejdev010.htm#CCHFAAAH]" .
    You need to use an instance of JMS Connector (predefined or your own) for proper transaction enlistment of OC4J JMS.
    The built-in JMS connector mentioned by you publishes connection factories at the following locations:
    OracleASjms/MyXAQCF
    OracleASjms/MyQCF
    OracleASjms/MyXATCF
    OracleASjms/MyTCF
    OracleASjms/MyXACF
    OracleASjms/MyCF
    For your case you need OracleASjms/MyXACF or OracleASjms/MyXACF . Do not bypass the JMS Connector by using the OC4J JMS connection factories such as jms/XAConnectionFactory directly when you intend to use transactions.
    Hope this helps.

  • Oracle Calendar MacOSX and SyncML

    Hi!
    I am a bit lost after reading tons of threads and links...
    Here my questions:
    1. I sync my Pocket PC running WM5 and SyncML client from Synthesis.ch to sync with Space2go.com, which works fine. On the other side I would love to sync that server with Oracle Calendar. Unfortunately the server address given is not being accepted by Oracle Calendar.
    What could be the issue? The server address is http://sync.sync2go.com/sync/ml.dll
    Could it be that Ocal does not support SyncML?
    2. I have no clue why I cannot import any ics files from iCal into my agenda. I get the error message: There are no valid entries to import!
    Am I completely on the wrong track or could someone enlighten me?
    cheers Nicolas

    I had the same problem using Oracle's iCalendar Import option with some iCAL files, this is what I learned:
    Using: Oracle calendar client V10.1.2.0.0.710 for Mac OS X (I have not tested on Windows client).
    The iCAL (.ics) file was generated from IBM Lotus Notes 7.
    ie. "PRODID:-//Lotus Development Corporation//NONSGML Notes 7.0//EN"
    Issues:
    -- 1. Time zone string using by IBM was not supported by Oracle in format "Eastern".
    needed: America/New_York
    -- 2. If the event has "RECURRENCE-ID" line it will not import into Oracle
    -- 3. Events with RDATE line and "VALUE=PERIOD" in will not import into Oracle
    Details:
    I have found solutions four problems in the iCS file from IBM that stop the import:
    1. Time Zone not valid:
         DTSTART;TZID="Eastern":20070529T140000
         DTEND;TZID="Eastern":20070529T150000
    Change in to:
         DTSTART;TZID=America/New_York:20070529T140000
         DTEND;TZID=America/New_York:20070529T150000
    fixes the problem.
    2. Time zone not valid ie.:
         TZID:Eastern
    changed to:
         TZID:America/New_York
    fixes the problem.
    3. deleting the line:
    RECURRENCE-ID;RANGE=THISANDFUTURE:20070529T173000Z
    4. PROBLEM: "PERIOD" format not support converting to "DATE" works.

  • Does built-in cjc supported by daqmx 7.4?

    Hello!
    I am using pci6251 and 6221 with bnc2120 accessory with built-in cold junction compensation enabled in MAX device properties.
    Some time ago we have used DAQmx 7.3 and everything was fine. After upgrade to DAQmx 7.4 in MAX it is possible to select built-in cjc source, but trying test the task results in error like: "property value unsupported", supported only "channel" and "constant".
    Is that intended behaviour? If so, why the built-in is in the list of the possible values in MAX?
    I understand that it is easy to setup a new channel for CJC only (with voltage*100 degrees C linear scale), but is it possble to use just builtin value of the CJC source with this driver release?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    Roughly speaking, CJC channel should contain the temperature of the place where thermocouple wires are connected to copper. Various way exist to do it. NI uses the semiconductor temperature sensor which voltage output is 10 mV/oC (it is practically standard among such sensors). (It is very easy and cheap to by yourself such thing if you don't have).
    So, you need two channels - one for measuring the thermocouple voltage and second for the sensor output. Then you need to convert both to degrees C and sum them (i.e. sum the thermocouple temperature referenced to cold junction temperature and cold junction temperature itself).
    Create one channel on which you will measure temperature of cold junction, add scale to it (offset=0, scale=100) to have results in oC.
    Create second channel on which the thermocouple will be connected (sure that it is another channel than CJC :-). Specify the first channel name in the "CJC Channel". It should work.
    If your are using the BNC2120 with builtin junction compensation sensor and thermocouple connector, be sure to set the corresponding switches to measure temperature and CJC on the block instead of the BNC.
    Hope this will help.
    If not, try to search through NI website. There are some appnotes or knowledge base articles describing CJC and thermocouples in details.

  • Is there a way to have the description field in a calendar list item to support enhanced rich text?

    We have a user who has a few hundred calendar items created in outlook. If you open the calendar item, the description includes tables with borders, shading, etc. It seems that the description field in Sharepoint calendars only support basic rich text,
    so if I copy the items from the user's calendar to the sharepoint calendar, the formatting is lost. Is there any way to create a custom calendar with enhanced rich text for the description field?

    This is a workaround that is working for us.  I created a new column "Event Description", selected "Plain Text" and then created a basic workflow that updated Description from Event Description.  #160 is no longer showing.
    Please be aware that the trick to this is that you must write everything in a string.  In other words, don't use the Enter key.
    In my case it was worth it as we couldn't rebuild and the user needed a valid and quick fix.

  • Google Calendar is now fully supported by Safari 2.0.3 under Mac OS X 10.4

    This change has been posted to the Google Help Center:
    Which browsers does Google Calendar support?
    Currently, Google Calendar fully supports the following browsers:
    - Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) version 6.0 (for Windows)
    - Mozilla Firefox version 1.0.7 or later (for Windows, Mac and Linux)
    - Apple Safari 2.0.3 for Mac OS X 10.4

    Hi skoziak, I guess your new Mac is intel core? If then, I've got the same problem as you before, the solution is, force Safari to run with Rosetta, then the images will shown. I have reported this issue to Apple before, hope the next version would solve this problem natively.

  • Oracle's Calendar built-in

    Hello fellow developers,
    We are developing our first system in Oracle and we wanted to use
    the built-in Calendar to make dates easier for the user. We
    incorporated a dynamic drop down list into the
    same program, and now there is a conflict when we try to populate
    the date field with the calendar. The error - 'Cannot populate
    list from record group' keeps displaying. When we eliminate the
    calendar and enter the date fields manually the error does not
    appear. Has anyone had this problem using the calendar with a
    dynamic list? If so, how did you fix it?

    Hi Paul,
    When i came across the same situation, I had created an
    activeX control ( Monthview or DatetimePicker) to get the date,
    These two activeX controls can give the calender as a drop down
    window.
    The .ocx files should be present in c:\winnt\system32 directory
