  • IPad Calendar crash when trying to open March 2013

Everything I try to open March 2013 in iPad calendar it crashes. It is okay if I sneak through each week or go day by day but will not allow me to open the month of March! Any solutions?

Try removing any all-day events from the calendar for the 1st April 2013 e.g. if you are syncing the calendar from somewhere else (e.g. Outlook on a PC or iCal/Calendar on a Mac) then change it to a timed event instead of all-day (if you don't sync your calendar from anywhere then try going into list view, go to 1st April and change any 'all day' events to times e.g. change Easter Monday to start at something like 4am) - it seems that there is a problem with all day events on that date which is when the clocks change due to daylight saving.

  • After update to IOS 6 on my Ipad2 it not possible to go to month view of March 2013 in the calendar app?

after update to IOS 6 on my Ipad2 it not possible to go to month view of March 2013 in the calendar app?
on my Ipone with IOS there is no problem
is Apple aware of this problem?
    When will it be solved?

Probably the app developers fault but then Apple needs to warn people about compatiblity of apps... I will add a review note to TOP 3 to warn people
If it is an app compatibility issue - it IS the app developers responsibility to make sure that they update their apps in order to work with the new iOS. Apple owes no users a warning whatsoever. Common sense tells me that a very old app that has not been updated for the last two iOS updates just might not make the grade in the third iOS release since the app came out.
I can't even find an App called Top 3 Solitaire in the U.S. App Store. Perhaps the app was so old and it hasn't been updated in so long so it was pulled from the App Store.

  • Calendar crashes in month view mode

iPad 2 - iOS 5. Using Calendar app, viewing in month mode. Paging from month to month. When I page from february 2013 to march 2013, the app crashes. Consistently. Is it just me?

Temporary workaround identified at least, at your link above.
    Workaround:
Please edit all-day events on 1 April 2013. Either remove the event or change the all-day event into an appointment event, starting for example 12.00.
    It worked for me.

  • IPad calendar crashing when try to open March

When I scroll through calendar months from February to March or back from April to March the calendar app crashes.
I can open March in weeks or days but not by month
    Any ideas?
Only had iPad a week so relatively new to it - it's iPad 4 32GB wifi only

I've got an iPad 1 so there isn't an update available to the Crashing Calendar problem.  Here's what I did.
If you can't delete an appointment because the Calendar keeps on crashing, go to Settings, then Mail ,Contacts, Calendars.  Turn off sync'ing with Calendars.  Click OK to remove the calendar (I am assuming you keep your calendar online somewhere!) .
Then open up your online calendar in a browser, or perhaps on your work Exchange account.  Remove or change any all day appointment on 1st April (mine was easter Monday which for some reason had gone in for more than one day).
The on your iPad, go into your Calanedar settings again and turn on syncing with the Calendar again.
Your Calendar should now open fine.
    Hope this helps

  • HT204266 The built-in calendar app of Apple is creating problems. It crashes whenever I try to switch to March 2013 in the monthly view. Apple: please fix this!

There seems to be a problem with the Apple Calendar. It crashes whenever I change to March 2013 in the monthly view. Have tried everyting, including shutting off everything. Am running the latest OS and have gone through all the updates. Anyone else experiencing the same?

'Solution' found even though it's not a proper solution ...

  • Calendar app crashes when going to march 2013

Does anyone else experience the same problem? I can recreate it on at least two iPads (the original iPad1 [iOS 5.1.1] and the latest Retina iPad [iOS 6.0.1])
While browsing the calendar in month view and going from febraury 2013 or april 2013 to march 2013, crashes the calendar app.
I can browse march 2013 fine while in day view, week view or list view, but not in month view.
No problems on the iPhone, just on the iPad.

An obsertation:  I have what appears to be an all-day event on April 1, that is a note that it is April Fools Day.  However, this note is part of a holidays calendar that I subscribe to on my iPad.  The holiday entries are an actual subscription, not individual entries on the calendar.
I have not had any Calendar crashes with this April 1 entry at all.  As Skydiver said, it might be a DST problem, but it seemed strange that some folks are having crash problems with all day entries on 4/1 and some are not.  Maybe this subscription entry doesn't count as an all day entry??  Dunno.

  • Calendar closes immediately - March 2013 month view

There is something wrong with calendar on my iPad.
I changed it to month view for March 2013.  Now when I open it, it opens but then closes right away.
I have tried to press the day button as it opens but it closes too quickly.
I have turned the iPad off and on again and closed calendar from the bottom line after sweeping up to make line appear.
All no good. Any ideas how to fix it?
    Thanks.

I guess my response made no sense if you cant open the calendar. Sorry about that.
You would have to make the change on a computer and then sync the change to the iPad. Or if you are using iCloud, you could make the change on your computer and that would sync the change over the the air with iCloud.
If that's not the reason why the calendar is crashing you can try resetting all settings. Or you can try rebooting byholding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
If you do have an all day event on April 1st and you can make the change from Outlook on your computer - or whatever you use - and then sync again - that would be the best way to go about this.

  • HT201412 I cannot open the month of March 2013 in my iPad3 calendar. I can however see it in the year view for 2013 and I can view the daily and weekly calendars for March 2013. Any ideas what has gone wrong ? Thanks

I have a new iPad3 and have found I cannot open the month of March 2013 when I tap on it. All other months open OK ! I can see March 2013 in the yearly view and I can open the individual days, and weeks, of March 2013 but I cannot see the whole month in the monthly view. When I try to open the monthly view for March 2013 it returns me to the start screen which shows all the apps etc and closes the Calendar app. Any guidance of what is going wrong and how it can be corrected. Thanks !

Don't worry we have to start somewhere. Feel free to post your questions here, we learn from each other.

  • TS1702 Calendar: when on month view, tap 2013, March, calendar reverts to home screen.    Tried all other months, all ok just happens on March 2013.  i

  • Calendar crashes on specific month

My iPad 2 (fully updated) calendar is crashing when viewing March 2013 in month view.
I can view March 2013 in day and week view, but when switching to month view, it crashes.
If I disable birthdays from contact persons, it does not crash.
I I delete all contacts that has birthday in March (and enable birthdays), it crashes again.
This is very annoying as I several times had to completely delete all contacts and calendars as it got stuck on month view for March 2013 and therefor kept crashing the second it was opened.
    Suggestions anyone?

this is a know bug and has been covered in many threads here.
If you remove all day events (such as birthdays) it fixes the problem - but you already worked it out yourself.
Some users had to remove 1st April 2013 Easter Monday whole day event.
work around is to change the birthday from all day event to a shorter period of time on that day.

  • Calendar crash

My calendar crashes every time i push March. I have tried to reboot my iPad 2 but it doesn´t help.
If I push one week in March it works, but when i push the month button it crashes.

That's rather obvious but this is a user to user forum. If you want to tell that to Apple use http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • What does Calendar crash when I try to select March 2013 in 'month' view?

When I tried to select March 2013 in month view of Calendar, it crashes. If I select a date in March 2013 by some other means, I can add an appointment during that month, but every time I return to the Month view, the application crashes (closes).
