Calendar/Date view in Aperture

Does anyone know if Aperture can group and display photos in the library based on the date pictures were captured. Lightroom and iViewMedia Pro have this feature. iView Media Pro (Microsoft Expression Media now) just reads the metadata from files and creates Year-Month-Day structure. One can select particular month and see all photos were taken during that month, or during the day. No special folder structure in Finder required. I use iView Media Pro for all my photos since 2001 and would love to switch to Aperture to enjoy Places, Faces and other advanced features, but lack of that "calendar" view is a real bummer for me.
K

Thanks, Dick for reply.
I tried the solution you suggested and I don't find it very efficient. Look at how he Date Finder looks in iView Media Pro. http://i49.tinypic.com/2mfk2q.png I can select any year, month or day or any combination of them. Too bad Aperture does not offer this flexible view.
Thanks,
Konstantin.

  • Calendar List view shows entries under the wrong date

I just upgraded to iOS4 and finding that my calendar entries are appearing under the wrong date in the calendar list view when I am viewing two calendars.
    - List view is ok when viewing 1 calendar
    - Day and Month views are ok at all times (ie: viewing single or multiple calendars)
    - I have 2 Exchange accounts
    - Calendar entries are appearing in the correct order, but under the incorrect date heading.
    - When I intially added the Exchange accounts the calendar list view was fine at first (I could see both calendars correctly in list view) but after a short time later it became screwed up.
    Anyone else experience this?

Same problem here since my upgrade to iOS4 - but I only noticed today.
I have 3 calendars set up:
    Gmail (Exchange)
    UK Holidays (iCal)
    Birthdays
The exchange calendar is always wrong but the other two are correct when my exchange calendar is switched off.
It has mucked up my scheduling a bit for the next month. I only became suspicious when I noticed the Scottish Bank Holiday Monday at the beginning of August was showing on FRIDAY, 30th of July!

  • IPhone Calendar List View Extends Back Only One Year

My iPhone calendar List view extends back approximately one year despite the fact that I have calendar entries extending back to 1999 and that older data is visible under the Day and Month views. This is a problem because the only search mechanism in iPhone calendar is through the List view. Therefore, any search I conduct extends back only to the data in the List view ... which means back only one year.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how I could change this such that the List view extends to include ALL of my calendar entries and is in conformity with the Day and Month views? (I wanted to ask if anyone knows how to "correct" this, but perhaps Apple has designed it this way to speed-up the searching in List view ... I'm not certain.)
I am currently running the most recent iOS update, am syncing my iPhone calendar via MobileMe, have upgraded to the new version of the MobileMe calendar, and have ALREADY reset my sync. history, deleted my iPhone calendar and re-synced it, etc. These don't resolve the problem.

I've noticed that the date to which the List View will "look back" will change depending on software updates or syncs.
For instance, a few weeks ago my List View went back to December 2009 ... now it goes back to Jan. 2010 (i.e. I lost a month of "look back"). I do not specifically recall what triggered this change, but I reset my sync. log during this period.
If you make no changes to the sync. log or update the software, the List View start date will stay constant I believe. For instance, if the List View goes back to Jan. 1, 2010 right now it should stay that way until you reset the sync. log or update the iPhone software. Theoretically then the List View can "look back" much longer than 12 months assuming you make no changes to the sync. log or update the software. Of course, this doesn't address our issue here, but I thought I would point out that there seems to be a consistent pattern here and not some random bug screwing things up.
I'm still thinking that this is the way Apple intended it to work. In other words, that Apple felt it necessary to limit the calendar search feature to approximately 12 months worth of calendars. I hope I'm wrong.

  • Modifying a Calendar List view

We have a InfoPath form library containing media items. Some of the items have start and end dates for which we have created calendar list views.
All of these calendar items display with 12:00 am - 12:00 am at the beginning of the display. I've seen posts about using the Event content type to hide start and end dates, but that does not seem to apply in this case. Does anyone know how I could hide
the useless times that are displayed in these calendar list views? i have attached a screenshot.
    Thanks!
I should add that we are using only the start date for both start and end so that you are seeing when the item is first published, and not its duration. The times are unnecessary.

Hi Leon, you can do this one of two ways- adding a content editor to the page with code or use SP Designer to remove it. See the following links for details:

  • (IOS 7) Any way to show calendar list view in notification center instead of day view?

I updated to IOS 7 and I hoped to be able to check my schedule for the next day from the lock screen. Unfortunately at 1 AM the next few hours in the Calendar Day View in Notification Center was empty. The Today Summary just tells me when the first appointment is the next morning but not much else. Is there any way to change the calendar day view to the list view of appointments? Representing the relative times of the appointments with empty space seems like a waste. Especially when the Calendar Day View is 100% empty space and my appointments are just out of view in the wee hours of the morning.
    Thanks,
    Jerrill

My biggest regret in updating to IOS 7 is the calendar. I often to tap from date to date and wish to see in LIST view my events... not in a today view as mentioned by the various posts above. As someone else noted, events are hiding below the screen view and one must scroll around to see if there are other events scheduled. I'm so afraid I'm going to miss something and make a committment in error. A list view is much more desired and efficient.
Change for the sake of change...why Apple why?
I have sent mass texts and Face Book messages to friends telling them not to upgrade to IOS 7 because of the calendar disaster and variouse other changes. Such as why is the font everywhere so small and light? One needs a magnifying glass to see everything that could be seen so clearly before. I've given friends a "tour" of IOS 7 on my iPhone and after seeing it many have thanked me and opted not to upgrade. I only wish I could have been saved.

  • Calendar list view 7.1.2

What happened to Calendar List view in 7.1.2.   I used to be able to get List View for ALL dates.   Now I can only get it for ONE DAY!
I believe list view worked correctly (i.e. list all days on FULL SCREEN) in 7.1.1.  Only since last update (to 7.1.2) did it get stuck in
one day only list mode and even that only on the bottom third of the screen on my 5S iPhone.
I have seen "instructions" on several forums that "fix" this, but based on the icons they show these were for prior to 7.1.2.
Please HELP, and if necessary fix this MASSIVE FLAW in 7.1.2.  I have seen quite a few comments on the other forums I searched tonight of other users that ONLY use Full List Mode.   When searching the list provided is great, would be acceptable fix if Search would let you press search when Search field was empty and therefore "match" on anything.

Open calendar and push the area in the oval to show the list view.

  • How to show next instance of Recuring Event in Calendar List View

We have a calendar that we are using to display upcoming events.  However we are unable to get a clean output of next instance date for recurring events such as paydays or monthly meetings.  As opposed to showing next instance it shows the date
the event was originally put in the calendar.
I am guessing it will take a custom script, but I don't even know where to begin with that.

    Hi Swen,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display the recurring events as separated events in the calendar list view.
I recommend to create a Standard View, with Expanded Recurring Events for the calendar list,
and each instance of a recurring event will be showing in this view.

  • Calendar 'list' view broken?

While the Day and Month views look fine, everything looks out of sync in the List view. A meeting I have scheduled for 7am Tues shows up on Sunday, while a meeting happening 2hrs later is showing up on Monday. Meanwhile, a 6.30pm Tues meeting is correctly showing up on Tuesday. ***...?

    Hi,
I have the same issue since one week ago (iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.0.2).
Only 2 calendars on my Exchange mailbox are synced. Items show correctly on the day and month view, but in list view (which I use most), some of them appear under a wrong date. Annoying !
After restart and/or remove/add of calendars, list view takes a long time to 'load'. switching to day view and the back to list makes it appear (but unfortunately with the same problem).

  • Calendar: Month view Needs Daily Items on Side

This is a "problem" on N8 and E7 and X6 (as far as I have noticed)
or probably all Symbian^3 phones....The Calendar month view simply shows a table of each month with dates sorted in columns of dayOfWeek.
This view takes up the full screen space.
I would like to request this view be similar to E72
    1. When user select a date in the month -> another part of the screen would display the agenda of that date.

I have the same think as I have upgraded my N97 to E7 couple weeks ago
the month view in S^3 Calendar is not forthright as that in S60 5th

    Hi,
I just figured out the issue here...
I had created a DB "SiebelDB" with default sort order... Ideally Siebel 8.1.1 recommends Latin1_General_BIN as RDBMS collation and while runing database server configuration utility, it is recommended to select Binary sort order.
    Cheers,
    Nikhil.

  • Calendar List View Sort Order

If I have two appointments set to the same time and length on the calendar, the sort order on the "month" view is sorted based on the title (this is great and what I am looking for). If I go to the "day" view or the "list" view the sort order appears to be random. I have tried to figure out what the sort order is for the list view and the day view but no luck.
I am using a second calendar in Outlook for tasks and setting all items to the same time and length. I can then create a task list that syncs to the iphone. Just can't get the sorting figured out.

  • Calendar date prompts

I am on 11.1.1.5. I am creating two calendar date prompts begin date and end date for an analysis. I want to be able to generate some kind error message or warning if the user tries to enter a date smaller than begin date in end date prompt. How can I do this?

@Amith, no the link would not accurately satisfy the OP's need. What if the user chooses a valid date (i.e., in the allowable date range), but the report produces no records? The customized "No Results" message, would say, "Please choose a valid date value" and would be incorrect.

How can I do this?@user12301184, what you need to do is this:
    1) Create a small report that returns rows if the dates selected in the dashboard prompts are in the valid range, and does not return rows if the dates chosen are outside the range.
    2) In the dashboard, move a Section to the workspace and put your main report there. Click on Section>Properties>Guided Navigation and have OBIEE point to the small report created in step 1 with the radio button "Display when report returns rows" checked off.
    3) Move another Section to the workspace and put a Text object in the Section. Click Section>Properties>Guided Navigation and point to the same report, but this time choose "Dispay if the report returns no rows."
    4) Now in the Text object, put your customized message, "Please choose a valid date range."
    5) Finally, in the report itself, you can customize your "No Results" view to say, "There are no records to display for the date range selected."
To summarize, according to the OP's criteria, there are two reasons why the report wouldn't show rows: one, specifically because of the invalid date range; and two -- not explicitly stated, but true nonetheless -- when the report itself produces no rows even though the date range is valid.
My solution takes into account both scenarios. It doesn't give a potential wrong error message like so many applications do when the scenarios are not thought out completely.

  • IPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)

    Hi all,
I'm trying to fix a problem, which maybe there for some time already, in the iPhone Calendar. I'm using MobileMe to sync contacts and appointments. All my devices are up-to-date to the latest levels of firmware and software.
I have a normal calendar in iCal and some subscribed calendars. Ther's no difference in both type of calendars.
    This is what's happening.....
    - Individual calendars are all looking perfect in List, Week and Month view.
    - All Calendar option is looking good in Week and Month view.
    - All Calendar option is bad in List view mode.
When selecting the last option the Today date is changed a couple of days (Today = Wednesday 10-3), but also appointments are on different days. For example the soccer games on Saturday (6-3) and Sunday (7-3) are now changed to Tuesday (9-3) and Wednesday (10-3).
I have the same calendar on my other iPhone and nothing weird going on over there?!?
    Does somebody have a clue?
PS. The calendars for this (MobileMe) user are all correct on the other Apple devices.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Arjon G. Stelinga

    Hi All,
Got a message from cini007, but I get an error message when I want to reply to that message. I have copied the "solution" below.
I have tried this, but it's not working. The only thing happening is it has changed the dates randomly.
Although I have been looking for the auto shut-off option. I can't find that option only in the alarm clock options?
cini007 posted "Re: iPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)" in "iPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)" on Mar 9, 2010 8:20:57 AM.
I had Genius Bar visit with same issue—no go (was advised to reset to factory settings).
BUT here is the SOLUTION as it happened again:
    1. set auto shut-off to never
    2. turn OFF MobileMe syncing for calendars on the iPhone (from Settings menu)
    3. wait for calendar entries to be removed—takes minutes if you have several calendars
    4. hard reset iPhone (press Home and On/Off at the same time for >5 seconds), and wait 2 minutes (about the time to reboot)
    5. restart iPhone
    6. turn ON MobileMe syncing for calendars on the iPhone (again, from Settings menu)

  • Lost Calendar data after update and hotsync

Okay, I hope someone can help with this. I updated my Treo 650 at the Palm site tonight. And I'm gonna try to recall the exact order in which I did everything so that this is clear. (Also know that I Hotsync every night, without fail.) You should know that I work on a PC using Windows XP. After I downloaded the update and opened it, it instructed me to Hotsync. I did. The stuff in the update took a while, but it finally worked. There were a couple problems with this Hotsync though. First I got an error message that all of my original applications could not be re-uploaded because some of them were not Palm compatible. (Or some such.) Fine. I'd just go to wherever the file was and see if I could live without whatever was not uploaded. (I still haven't found the file, and I don't know HOW to find it.) Then I got a Hotsync error message that stuff had to be deleted so that the Hotsync of the updated software could be successful. No problem. I deleted some photos and Voila, it worked. New software installed. I first went to my Apps page on the Palm to see if the important Apps were still there. And they seemed to be. Then I noticed the calendar, which was showing TODAY'S date, and that looked fine too. Now this is where I get confused. SOMETHING moved me to Hotsync AGAIN. Not sure why I felt I had to, but I did. When THAT Hotsync was finished, my calendar was wiped clean. Now this is where I may have shot myself in the foot. (I read another post that seemed similar to mine and the person was told that it was fortunate that she did NOT Hotsync AFTER data disappeared. Then he went on to show the person how to reclaim her data, and his explanation went WAY "over my head".) So I Hotsynced again to see if any magic would get my calendar, and the 7-8 years of dates and info from my M103 days, back onto my Treo. It did not. My Treo has no calendar dates whatsoever. What's strange is that the address book is totally intact. Can someone talk me through a way, if there is one, to get my calendar dates and data back? And a way to back up all of this precious information should I ever get it back. And if you offer me directions, give them to me as if you were directing a really SLOW child.

Try doing a global search of your system.
Right click Local disk (C) then select search and type in datebook.bak under "All or part of the file name" entry and hit on search. If their are some items found just look for the biggest file size of the datebook.bak and copy it then paste it to the desktop then do the import process again but it's gonna be on the desktop location that you are importing the file from.
1st Open Palm Desktop Software then open your emptied calendar.
    2nd Click File then Import.
3rd Locate the datebook.bak that you pasted on the desktop - once you're on the desktop you just type in the asterisk symbol * then press enter on your keyboard to show those hidden files then you shoudl be seeing a datebook.bak and some other icons and files on your desktop. I recon to just double click on the datebook.bak folder then that should import all your calendar data if it contains anything and if not then i gues this will be the last resort.
You don't need to worry about the message that says something like "Not all imported datebook will be viewed on the current view because the default view is unfiled and if you do have some categorized data on the calendar.
This will be the last resort.

  • Current Month Capacity Availability in Capacity Data View

Capacity Data View Does Not Roll Forward - current month still shows full monthly capacity being available (744 hours for January 2008) even though we are on 01/11/2008 (504 hours left in January 2008).  Where in the configuration this value is calculated?  What change I need to make to the configuration to make the monthly capacity view rolling forward.
    Appriciates all of your help.
    Thanks.  Tom

I am not sure if you can debug the code. Anyway when you go into Macroworkbench, you can right click and pickup the option to look into the ABAP code generated behind the macros. It may be definitely more than 1000 line code and so am not sure if you want to go there. You may want to eliminate the macros in the capacity view one by one to exactly isolate the code that does the capacity calculation.
Alternatively as I suggested, you can use a user exit macro to do the calculation. The UE macro can look into tables such as /sapapo/editquan to exactly calculate the resource per day and finally interrogate location calendars to calculate available capacity which can be published in a user defined key figure.(even a planning book KF should do unless you want to generate DB alerts).
