Calendar entries off by 1 hour

I just got an iPod Nano yesterday and told iTunes to sync my calendars and contacts (all of them) and it synced over, but there are 2 problems with the calendar. 1) All my entries are 1 hour before they should be. I checked the events and they're set to US/Pacific time; my Mac is set to Pacific Standard Time and so is the iPod. Looks to me like a daylight savings time bug. Has anyone else seen this. 2) All day events show up at 12 am which it kind of odd.
Thanks in advance for any advice to fix these problems.

Hm. I'm still having this problem even after setting all the time zones correctly. I even Restored my iPod nano and still the calendar events are off by an hour. They are correct on my SE T616, however.
I have hundreds of events, many with alarms, set up in iCal and I simply am not going to recreate them all. The only way I can get my nanoPod to display the calendar events correctly is to set the time zone to US Pacific (DST) then adjust the time back one hour. I find this "hack" a bit annoying.
Are there any other solutions to this besides recreating events in iCal?

  • Exchange / Google calendar entries off by one hour after DST

I noticed that all of my repeating entries from my Google calendar on my iPhone (synced with the Exchange "Google sync" method) were off by one hour, appearing one hour delayed, starting November 7th, 2010 and ending in March 2011 when DST starts again. After turning Time Zone Support off in the iPhone settings, everything fixed. However, this is unfortunate if it means I don't have the ability to shift my calendar when I travel. Anyone else experience this problem, or know of an actual fix (as opposed to this work-around)?

Woraround: Turn on time zone support in the mail calendar settings and choose your location. Downside is you have to change it if you are traveling. I thin apple should address this as a bug.

  • Calendar times off by 1 hour

Updated to new version of iTouch software today.  After process was complete all of my calendar entry times for my corporate email account are off by 1 hour.

Some things you can check to troubleshoot this include:
Go to icloud.com, sign into your iCloud account, click your name at the top and choose Account Settings, click Time Zone and be sure it shows the correct time zone and that you have selected a city near you.  Then open your calendar on icloud.com, click the gear-shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, click the Advanced tab and make sure you have not checked time zone support at the top.
On your iOS devices, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Time Zone Support (in the Calendars section) and make sure this is set to Off.  If you have a Mac, open the Calendar app and to to Mail>Preferences>Advances and uncheck “Turn on time zone support”.

  • IPhone 3G Email and Calendar times off by one hour (slow one hour)

My times which I send/receive emails or put appointments on the calendar are 1 hour slow as compared to my computers. I have Mobile Me and Mobile Me (on the computer) and my Outlook emails and calendars match and my current time is correct on all. On the IPhone 3G the current time is correct but the time a email is sent or received and all appointments on the calendar are both off by one hour (one hour slow on the IPhone 3G).
I have set time automatically in "settings" to on, and under "email contacts and calendar" I have time zones disabled. I have tried each possible combination of these settings but cannot get the email/calendar times to match between my computers and the IPhone 3G regardless of how these are set.
I have numerous computers and all times are correct on all. On the IPhone 3G the current time (the clock) is correct, but times in emails and calendar appointments are all off (slow) by exactly one hour no matter what I do.
Anybody else have this issue, and/or know what the solution might be?
    Thanks
    The Omega

I have tried that and it did not work. I am now trying it with everything set to enable DST, and see if that works. Everything, so far, seems to be in sync. The phone would be right for a second when you went into the calendar and then change to be an hour off. Strange. I think the settings I have now (all, Windows, MobileMe, and the IPhone 3G set to DSL on, the same) may be working. Only time will tell.
    Thank you.

  • Text Messages & Calendar Time off by 1 Hour

Hi. Does anyone else have this problem?  I can't seem to find it in the forum discussions when I search.  Please direct me if I missed it.
My time zone is correct.  Here's the situation.  When I open the text message app all the messages are listed and the time in that location is correct.  When I open any one of the contacts to view the text message it is ahead by one hour.  To clarify..if you send me a text right now at 10:22.  In the list it will show 10:22 but when I open up our discussion your message says it arrived at 11:22 even tho it isn't even 11:22 yet.  All messages do this.
    Calendar
The calendar acts similar.  If I enter an appointment in SCHEDULE mode (the little arrow at the top changes the view) then all appointments will be ahead an hour but when you go into the appointment to view it..it says the correct time but views wrong.  So viewing your day at a glance in this mode shows all appointments out by an hour.   Because of this I have had to use my calendar in AGENDA mode or view so the times show up correctly and don't drive me crazy.
    Anyone??
    Thanks
    Solved!

Thank you for pointing me to the post.  Unfortunately the workaround doesn't  work.
The only work around for this problem is to keep your calendar in Agenda mode for anyone else having same problem.  And we have to live with the text messages being an hour off until an update comes which might be never in this province...yes a slam to Sasktel..thanks

  • ICal and iPhone calendars are off by 1 hour from each other

My iCal on desktop G5 and my iCal on my iPhone are syncing but they are an hour off of each other--in other words if I have a lunch scheduled for 11:00 on my desktop G5, it shows at 12:00 on my iPhone. I checked the clocks and they are both correctly on eastern standard time. Any suggestions?

It could be the hidden time zone settings.
The problem is that iPhone has TWO time zone settings -- one for time display and one for the calendar.
Under Settings->General->Date & Time, there is a time zone setting if "Set Automatically" is turned off.
Under Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars, there is a setting, too, but it's not obvious. You must scroll to the bottom of this window and select Time Zone Support, then turn it off. It's on by default.
What confuses the user is that the two settings can be different. The latter affects only the calendar.

  • ICal and iPhone's calendar are off by 1 hour

Anyone else have this problem? The calendar on my computer is fine, but the one on my iphone is 1 hour off...

Just a thought - have you got both machines set for the same Time Zone?
iPhone - Settings : Date and Time : Time Zone
also, check the Calendar setting lower down.
Then check your MacBook's time zone setting too

  • Outlook Calendar Time Off By 1 hour

When I create appointments on my phone and sync with outlook, the timesare off on hour, and vs/vs. The time on tyhe phone is setr to auto. Cant find any settings in ITunes to effect this, nor in Outlook. Thinking its a DST issue but cantsee where to change / set.

    Maybe this will help:
    Page 76 iphone manual:
"Set iPhone to adjust event times for a selected time zone:
1 In Settings, choose General > Date & Time.
2 Turn Time Zone Support on.
3 Tap Time Zone and search for a major city in the time zone you want.
When Time Zone Support is on, Calendar displays event dates and times in the time
zone of the city you selected. When Time Zone Support is off, Calendar displays events
in the time zone of your current location as determined by the network time. "

Other wise, you may need to do something in Outlook.

  • Calendar entry off by one day

    Hi
I have a weird problem, I have one calendar in which the entries are off by one day only on my iphone, they are correct on my ical where I enter them and also on icloud website calendar but NOT on the iphone. They show as all day events on the iphone exactly one day prior to when they should be displayed. Any thoughts?

    (1) If your iPhone is syncing contacts with iCloud, turn it off. In Settings on your iPhone, Mail,Contacts,Calendars, Accounts, iCloud, turn off Contacts.
    (2) sync your iPhone to iTunes.
    (3) now select the ‘Info’ tab in iTunes for your iPhone. Ensure that ‘Sync Address Book Contacts’ is ticked. (You can revert to syncing with iCloud later, after this process is complete.)
    (4) scroll to the very bottom section of the Info tab. Where it says ‘Replace information on this iPhone’, select ‘Contacts’.
    (5) Sync again.
Now check Calendars on iPhone, this process ‘fixes’ the information of birth dates and they should now appear correctly.

  • Calendar item off by one hour after daylight savin...

    Hi,
When I accept an outlook meeting invitation from my phone (Lumia 520) it gets into the phone´s calendar one hour earlier than sceduled in the invitation.
I have checked settings, the outlook invite as well as my phone has the same timezone settings (western europe), though phone settings is "Auto".
It seems like phone does not handle calendar invite items correctly after the switchover to standard(winter) time. For information; when the Outlook meeting item is sent to other calendar systems (e.g. other outlook server or google calendar) the meeting is registerred correctly.
Does anyone have any clue how to solve this issue?
    Thanks,
    //Christian

    Hi ceggertsen,
Are you using your Microsoft account? How often do you experience this? Can you try to create a test invitation using another exchange account and then see if it's the same? Also, try to set your manually set your time, date, and time zone and see if it will make any difference.
    Let us know the outcome.

  • Time bar on calendar is off by one hour

So I notised this problem this morning. The time is correct, all the events are at the correct times. The only problem is that the "progress bar" itself is showing up in the wrong hour block. I have turned on time-zone support and I have turned the iPhone on and off again twice now. Is anyone else having this problem, or know a way to fix it?

This is  a known bug. After midnight it will correct itself. Apple is aware of it.

  • Web Calendar Events off by 1 hour after March 11, 2007

We're running JES Calendar 2005Q4 with patches.
Has anyone else noticed this issue yet? Look in the web interface first...on recurring appointments, everything is correct until March 11th. Then all appointments are pushed out an hour later. On April 1st all the recurring appointments return to normal.
Take a look at the exact same calendar in Outlook using the Connector, and everything is correct through the entire time period.
We change back to Daylight Savings on March 11th, so apparently the calendar server is handling the change over incorrectly (but Outlook is figuring it out)...but only until April 1st when it gets back to the right time again. Stupid.......
Does anyone else see this on their systems?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi,
I checked on this ,yes I see this happening too.Seems to be a bug with calendar Server.

  • Calendar events off by 1 hour on iPhone and iPad

Since Sydney went into daylight savings time this week, events entered on my Mac appear 1 hour later on my iPhone, and events entered on my iPhone appear 1 hour earlier on my Mac.
Clock on Mac and iPhone both agree on the time.
Time zone on Mac (System Preferences>Date & Time) set to automatic timezone which is correctly displayed as Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
Time zone on iPhone (Settings>general>Date & Time) set to auto and currently displays "Sydney".
Time zone support on iPhone (Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars) set to 'on' and time zone displayed as "Sydney"
Interestingly, the same problem also affects my iPad, and affects both my iCloud calendar events and my Google Calendar events.
Any ideas about what I should do?
    Thanks,
    - alan

A screen dump showing iCloud in Safari and iCal on my Mac, with both iCloud and iCal set to Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEDT) but the event out by an hour on iCloud (and hence iPhone I guess).

  • Calendar time off by 1 hour, only on iCloud

My calendar on iCloud on my Mac is showing all the appointments 1 hour later than it should.  On my iPhone and in the calendar app on my Mac, they're correct.  It's only in the iCloud web page that they're wrong.
Anyone know how to fix this?

randers4: That was it! It was set for Atlantic time instead of Eastern.  As soon as I changed it (and signed out and back in), all the appointments shifted back one hour.
Thanks! I would have never thought to look there.

I updated my iPad to iOS 7.0.2 and the time is 3 hours off.  There is now no longer a date and time section under General settings.  How do I change the time on my iPad?

In iOS 7 there still is a Settings > General > Date and Time. Use it to correct your time or set it to Set Automatically.
