Calendar entries on Curve 8900 get random reminder times after moving in ical

I just upgraded to a Curve 8900 from a Curve 8310 and using the new Desktop Manager for Mac to sync. I'm having 2 issues.
1) After syncing with ical, the entries on my Curve 8900 do not alert (vibrate or give off tone) when the ical alarm is set to "message with sound", however it does seems to work when you only select "message" from the alarm setting.
2) When dragging an event on ical from one date to another (or changing the date using the edit event command or get info command), during the sync it assigns a random reminder time only on my Curve, but not in ical. So I'm getting random alerts on my Curve for events in the future, and random times of 12 hours, 24 hours, 1215 minutes, etc.
My default entry on both my Curve and ical has the alarm reminder set to "0" min, so that I am alerted on the time I have assigned to the event.
It's so frustrating as both pocketmac and missing sync were erasing contacts. I was hoping the new Desktop Manager would have solved any sync problems.

If you are having errors in your Calendar or Address Book on your BlackBerry, and you wish to delete the entire Calendar (or Address Book) database on your BlackBerry, follow the directions below. Make certain you have a good copy of your Calendar or Contacts elsewhere, as this procedure will complete delete ALL Calendar entries and/or Address Book entries on your BlackBerry.
1. Open Desktop Manager on your PC.
2. Open up Backup/Restore > Advanced.
3. From Advanced you'll see a split pane screen. The left pain is what is going to be backed up from your device and the right is a list of the currently existing databases.
3. Highlight on the right side your Address Book database (or your Calendar database) and click the arrow in the middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information over and prepare it for back-up.
4. Once the back-up has completed, hit the Clear button at the bottom to erase and clean out the entire address book database (or Calendar database).
5. After it's finished, it will ask you if you want to save the back-up you've created, say yes and check the device to make sure the address book (or calendar) has been properly cleared out. Now, resync the necessary contact information and you should be set to go.

Please Help Me! I've deleted almost all of my Outlook 2003 calendar entries and can't get them back!

Hi,
I synced my Curve to my Outlook 2003 calendar two days ago, and it worked great. Then I added a few items to the calendar on my blackberry and tried to sync so those new entries would appear on my outlook calendar. I stupidly just clicked through and didn't read the pop up screens because I thought it would just work fine.
Somehow, this move deleted nearly all of my calendar entries on my Outlook, but all of the entries are still on my Blackberry calendar (over 1,000 entries). Now, I can't get them back on my Outlook calendar. I tried just syncing one way from device to Outlook and it looks like it's doing it, but then nothing shows up on Outlook.
What do I do?

In the Desktop Manager > Sync > Configuration, make sure the calendar options are set to override Outlook.
Set it also to notify you of the changes, so you will have to approve any changes.

HT4968 Changed my iCloud password and have lost all calendar entries, how do I get them back?

I changed my iCloud password while working on my PC desktop and now I have lost all my calendar entries on my iPad and iPhone apart from repeat appointment entered prior to the change to iCloud.
How do I get entries back?

If you backup your iPad, the entries may be in your backup but only the entries as of the date of the last backup will be in there. You can try restoring from a backup which will also restore everything in the backup onto the iPad. You can't just select the calandra entries to be restored.

Calendar entries not showing in Oulook 2010 any more, after crash when moving entry

I've been using the calendar synch option in Outlook 2010 for quite a while.
One day, I tried to drag a calendar entry to another date (something I've done multiple times before).
Instead of moving the calendar entry, suddenly no entries are shown. It didn't crash as such (at least not with a visible error message).
I can still see the entries on my other iOS devices, though, so they are not gone, just not displaying in Outlook.
What's even more strange, is that when I remove the tick in the calendar list, and set it again, some entries are shown for a split second, before they're all gone again.
I can even add entries from Outlook, which are then shown in my other devices, but never shown in Outlook.
I've of course tried to remove the synch in iCloud, but that doesn't help. And I've rebooted several times in the meantime.
Re-installing Outlook is not really an option, as it's my job pc, and it's a cumbersome process to do so.

Deleting my gmail account and re-adding it does not clear up the problem, it hides the symptoms. What if it didn't work, do I reinstall the OS? I've had two occurences of this--none of last Friday's calender entries were in my calendar and yesterday afternoon's entries were missing. There is a root cause and it needs to be found and sorted.
I missed a meeting yesterday because my phone did not sync up with my Google calendar. This is a fundamental feature of of the Palm WebOS smartphones. Calendar syncing is a fundamental feature of all smartphones and a smartphone that doesn't do this is no longer smart.
Are there other people who have seen this symptom? Is there something I can do to _help_ gather data for the Synergy team to find the root cause?

Can't get mail from ipad after moving to icloud

I just moved my ipad (imac and iphone) to the cloud last night and now don't have any emails on my ipad. My iphone doesn't recognize the move either.
Should I just go in to the store and get this fixed or is a quick fix?

I can't get iTunes to Start after moving my Music Folder anyone know what to do ? yes I have tried reinstalling iTunes..

I Moved the iTunes folder in My Music to my D:\ Drive to get some extra room on my computer, then when I tried to open iTunes it wouldnt open so I moved the folder back and nothing happened again after I tried to open iTunes... so I deleted all the iTunes files on the D:\ Drive and then reinstalled iTunes... Still the same problem.. can anyone help ?

Moving the /My Music/ folder will not prevent iTunes from opening. That only contains the iTunes library, not the application files. Moving that folder would only get you an empty library when you open iTunes.
I suggest you reinstall iTunes.

Where does EM get it's time after logging in?

Went through a clean install on Win 2003, added patches, and when I login to the EM homepage for the single database the clock is behind by one hour. TZ update was applied on host and is correct. The em.properties file shows a valid entry for the TZ. Even added the zun TZ patch for kicks, then rebooted. No change.

Siri was serving up my company just a month ago. Any question like, "give me driving directions to Metalcloak", served it up fine (as I was showing off to friends).
But, just a couple days ago she started NOT finding my company. In fact Siri answers by saying she doesn't have an address for Metalcloak and it references my contact entry. I deleted the contact entry and she now can't find us at all.
How can this be? Did Apple change the parameters for search?

Can't Edit Calendar Entries

Hi, just wondering if I've done something stupid.
I've just purchased iPAD and upgraded to current OS after connecting to iTunes. All mail accounts and calendars have been sync'd to the IPAD but I can't seem to edit any calendar entries, such as changing a date or time of an appointment.
I either have to make the changes on my iPhone or desktop machine. I recently upgraded all my calendars so they are now at [email protected] but the iPhone has coped with this seamlessly. But I cannot make changes to calendar entries on the iPAD.
As always, I'd be grateful for any thoughts or help.

Try a different tab in the menu. I'm using "Day" and able to get to the Edit window. Try Week, Month, or List... see if that makes a difference.
I recently upgraded all my calendars so they are now at [email protected] but the iPhone has coped with this seamlessly.
So your MobileMe account is syncing.

N96 - Calendar entries in Standby?

The calendar entries that appear on the front screen, ie standby - is there anyway to have more than one or two?
The calendar entries I have are very random, for instance, I had 3 calendar items yesterday, 2 calendar items today and 3 tomorrow. Yesterday I only had 1 entry displayed in standby, today I have the 2 for today. I would really prefer to see the whole week if possible.

Hi, I am having exactly the same problem following the upgrade. I emailed Nokia support - firstly they told me to take the battery out for 15 mins and when I emailed back to tell them that didnt work they have now responded to say I should restore factory settings.
I am not convinced this is going to work. In fact, reading their response again I am not convinced that the person responding actually knows what my query is about - I find this so frustrating.
Can anyone help please? I would really appreciate it as I relied on being able to see ahead so as not to forget stuff and it is driving me mad.

Calender entries made on iPhone get updated into Outlook.

None of the calender entries made on my iPhone get updated into Outlook.
All of the calendar entries made in Outlook get updated on my iPhone.
My Contacts are sync'd both directions. Just the Calendar entries only get synced TO the iphone and NOT FROM the iphone. This seemed to start this year, maybe after an update to the iPhone or iTunes.

Go to settings > mail contacts and calendars
under the calendars heading make sure the default account is outlook

IPad Calendar Entries Not Syncing to iCal

I'm having an issue with new, manual calendar entries I make to my iPad 2 not syncing over to iCal on my Mac Mini. Syncing in the reverse manner works fine, however. I'm using iTunes 10.7 on my Mini to sync as I do not use iCloud at all. I'm using iOS 5.1.1 on my iPad 2.

I am having a similar problem. I think that my phone actually deleted a couple appointments, as well. Today I entered a repeating event on my phone. It still has not shown up on my MacBook or my iPad, hours later. I believe it is because my iCloud Sync was turned off on my phone. I just checked - It said that my password was entered incorrectly. I think that must have happened when I upgraded to iOS6. I fixed it now and am waiting to see if my iCal sync happens.

Calendar - How can I add an untimed reminder (8900)?

I have just changed from a Palm Treo to Curve 8900 where I regularly put an untimed reminder at the top of specific dates in my calender. On the Palm I can do this by selecting "no time" when making the entry. Is there a way of doing this on the 8900 (v4.6.1.310)

I noticed the same problem after I upgrade to OS5.0. I think there is also the same problem with Contacts. I tried to add one of them and no plus sign was available. I was wondering if others were having the same issue. I am going to try the suggestion above as I have enabled iClould.
