Calendar entry bug

The latest E72 firmware brought another bug. Creating a calendar entry by just starting to type in the month view is no longetr possible for entries starting with a "u" or a "j" (* or #).... Can someone verify please?

Not sure what you mean... You have to press the "n" first to add a new meeting... After that, works fine for me... Try to restart the phone...

With No Apps running, click on Calendar icon, click on Add button, set focus to subject field and enter text, then tap on "Starts (date and time...)"
As soon as I click on the "Starts..." input field, it kicks me out of the calendar.
Work around - only enter the subject field and then save it and come back and edit it later on.

It's definitely a bug in that version of the OS. Contact Telus, have them escalate you to BlackBerry support with BlackBerry. The more reporting of the issue the faster you'll get the update.
We're still not really sure how the update process works on BB10...whether carriers control it as in the past or whether BlackBerry controls it, similar to Apple.

Bug: Outlook Calendar entry formatting is destroye...

Ovi Suite version: 2.2.1.23
Outlook version: 2003
Phone: E71
Steps to reproduce
- create a calendar entry (in my case a series) in outlook
- open one item of the series in outlook and format the text (colors, numbering etc.)
- sync with mobile via Ovi
result
- the formatting is garbage - everything is back to a default formatting scheme (headlines), numberings, idents etc. are all lost!
=> therefore Ovi Suite is a no go for me and all other users in my company.
btw: i switches to Ovi Suite because of the incredible instability of Mail for Exchange (permanently locked up due to some reason). I'm clueless how I can sync my mail & contacts with my E71 now.

Bug? Beware setting a calendar entry to 12 pm !!

So, it's early morning. I decide to enter a new calendar entry for March 4 for a noon meeting. By default, it opens up with a near time, 9 am to 10 am, for the meeting. I tap on the Starts/Ends button. The dial shows me March 4 9:00 AM. I scroll the 9 to 12, the AM nicely, and correctly, becomes PM.
But guess what? Don't hit Save! The Starts time remains as 12 AM, meaning midnight!! So, set that event for noon, and you're liable to be awakened at mid-night by a clamorous iPhone/iPod Touch!
Note: usually when you rest the Starts time, the Ends time, also advances an hour ahead... in this case, it stays at 1 AM, exactly what you don't want!
The workaround is that you have to start by changing the AM to PM exactly what you shouldn't have to do, and don't need to do in any other case!

Duplicate calendar entries... only in list view

I have just observed a new phenomenon on my iphone which seems distinct from the duplicate entry problem often described. I seem to have numerous (but not all) entries in my calendar duplicated only on iphone and ONLY in LIST view. Single entries only are seen in DAY view on the iphone, iCal, mobileMe and a google calendar I sync to by busysync. I have been running smoothly for months and I assume the problem has come about because I turned off Push in the settings when abroad recently. If I edit just one of the duplicate entries in list view - by just clicking to the time edit pane, but not necessarily changing anything, the duplicate disappears! If I edit such an entry on iCal or Mobile me, when the sync goes through to the iphone, the duplicate also disappears. I think I can clear this one by forcing the iphone to restore from a backup or something similar, but I am intrigued about this behaviour which suggests a software bug.

I have not understood why this problem was occurring, but I have found a solution which is to force the calendar entries to be reset from Mobile Me. I did this:
1 Did a backup in iTunes in case it went horribly wrong.
2 Went into iphone>settings>Mail Contacts Calendars > (Mobile Me Account) > Switched off calendars - told it to delete entries on iphone.
3 Turned off iphone
4 Waited a bit
5 Turned iphone on
6 Repeated 2 and switched on calendars.
7 Waited a bit for Mobile Me to sync
All calendars restored nicely..
Why this problem occurred in the first place is a mystery. Unlike other punters, I didn't have itunes syncing my calendars to iphone, only Mobile Me........... It has the strong smell of a bug as this problem emerged after many months of trouble free syncing only when I updated to iphone 3.

SharePoint 2013 Workflow Calendar Entry Create Time AM PM Conflict

Windows 2012, SharePoint 2013 Enterprise.
I have a change control form that basically creates a calendar entry once it's been approved. Works well, but discovered a bug with the calendar create portion when there are events that have the same time in AM\PM.
Use case:
1. Create a change control item in the list with a planned start time of 2PM, I'll approve it, which then fires off a workflow and it will create an event in the change control calendar for 2PM, all good.
2. Create another change control item in the list with a planned start time of 2AM this time, I'll approve it, which then fires off a workflow and it will create an event in the change control calendar for 2PM and not 2AM. ???
Yes the original event entry created in the list shows planned start time of 2AM, but its being created in the calendar entry as 2PM. This only happens when the time is exact. For example if I had created the second entry at 3PM, it will create the calendar
entry at 3PM. It only happens if there is an existing entry for the same time, then all subsequent entries for the same time will have the same AM\PM depending on the first entry.
I can manually create an entry in the calendar and specify 2PM and it will take, so its something with the workflow that is causing it. The workflow is very simple all its doing is checking the item to see if the field says approved for the change request
form if so, create calendar event and carry over the fields, planned start time, planned end time, title description, that's it.

In my test per your description, I cannot reproduce the issue, however, I attached the screenshot of my test for your reference, let me know if there is misunderstanding.
Please capture the screenshot of your workflow process design so I can try to reproduce or find out if there is action that may cause the issue.
In addition, could you please try to locate workflow error message? If there is obvious error information, please refer to the Activate Workflow Manager Logs part in the article below:

Symbian Series 40 better for calendar entries than...

I hope I write in the right forum
As former user of a Nokia 6500 slide (S40 powered) I switched to a 5800 XM (S60 powered). I don't have Microsoft Office (so no Outlook). The only options to create calendar-entries for my phone are Nokia PC Suite (latest version) www.ovi.com and the phone itself.
Neither of this solutions let me create WEEKLY events which re-occur every 2 weeks. The PC-Suite only has the options daylie, weekly, monthly, yearly... available - the odd thing is that with my S40 6500 slide there where much more options available which let me create this type of events. Perhaps the PC-Suite doesn't support the 5800 XM 100%?
The Nokia OVI-Service (www.ovi.com) has a small bug (or feature - if so tell me the trick ), where you can choose a number on daylie, monthly and yearly base but NOT on weekly - if I choose "weekly" I only get options like Monday, Tuesday, etc. (why choosing a day when I did that before I created the event ).
The phone-device itself does have very limited adjustment-options to create events in its calendar - you can create events on 14 day base but that's luck, because the event must be a "Besprechung" (no clue whats the phrase in englih - perhaps "meeting"?) and the only option which has sub-options like (2 x, 3 x..) is "weekly". So reoccuring events on 2 months base aren't possible for example.
I know that the 5800 isn't meant to be a organizer but in it's current state the calendar is more or less useless (other than that of the 6500 slide).
If someone knows how to workaround those things or thinks that I have a made a mistake somewhere please tell

Yep, the build-in Calendar suffers from lack of some features. Anyway, you can use some third party apps to create Weekly reminders. For example, Handy Calendar will use the default calendar Database and allow weekly events.

Calendar entries in Active Standby mode

A double question, but both are closely related.
In Active Standby mode it shows upcoming calendar entries for today and future ones.
Q1) Can someone clarfify does it only show 1 entry for future events, since I have placed 2 entries for tomorrow and 1 for the day after. But only 1 (the first) appears in Active Standby.
Q2) I THINK IS A BUG!! It does not show Anniversary as future events in Active Standby. It only appears when it is on the day (bit late if you need to buy a present!).

I think this is by design. Not quite sure what the basis is of what is included and what is not. Items from the current day seem to show up in greater numbers than in future days.

I live in Canada. Each time I travel to the US, I lose all calendar entries. I have to erase all data, then restore from an iCloud backup. Tedious. iPhone 4, iOS 7.1, sync set to all events. Any suggestions?

I did find another point worth mentioning.
I use my iPhone 4 with a corporate Exchange email account. I had deleted the account from my phone just before I did this backup/restore process...and I thought my battery drain was much, much better (if not outright fixed).
Later in the day, after seeing my battery life improve to near-new behavior, I re-added my Exchange mail account. Considering I have 1 yahoo account and 3 gmail accounts, the Exchange account adds a 5th email account.
What happened? Battery drain back to "worst case". Removing or re-adding the Exchange account is like toggling between decent and terrible drain conditions.
Bottom line is that I re-added a couple dozen applications and battery life didn't change. By far, the Exchange account drains the battery worse than any other app and setting. This account must be polling very frequently and since people tend to send very large file attachments to that account, perhaps those effect the battery drain even though I have the account set to not download attachments.
Anyone running Microsoft Exchange might be able to confirm what I see? If so I can open an enterprise ticket with Microsoft and bug them on this issue.

Multiday calendar entry not displayed on subsequent days

I have a calendar entry that is over 3 days but it only shows up on the 1st day in the Iphone calendar. Is this a bug? Is my only work around to enter the event 3 times, one for each day?

I was going to post this question myself, I have the same problem. Very annoying!

Outlook Calendar entries not complete on E72

I am syncing all of my work Outlook with my E72 OK. Contacts, Mail, and Calendar are used a lot. But I cannot read all of the text that is pasted in to the detail box in an Outlook Calendar entry on my PC once it has come across to the E72. The first few lines are fine but the text ends with a series of .... indicating that there is more to read but it is not available to see. Is there something that I can do?

Doesn't anyone know the answer to this issue? It seems a quite strange and stupid bug in the software so i cannot believe this cannot be solved in an Apple.

Downloaded (free) CalenMob app to sync to google calendar, and it only shows my calendar entries but not the entries of my coworkers I share the calendar with. How do I sync to google calendar so I can see the entries of people I share my calendar with?

I downloaded the free CalenMob app to sync phone with shared google calednar at work, but I can only see the calendar entries of some of my coworkers but not all - even though all of our calendars are shared. Is CalenMob the best app to use for syncing to google calendar? Do I need to enter the coworkers' gmail account info onto my phone in order for their calendar entries to show up on my phone calendar?

Only when i go to a different browser (like IE) after i clear it , then all that shows up is the pages i visited in IE , that is what bugs me , why is IE browsing history sowing up in Firefox ??
Basically , i can clear the history in Firefox , and then for a example , go to Craigslist , using IE7 (launching it from a complete different Icon , in other words at that time i never open Firefox) , then after closing out , or even leaving open as it does not seem to matter , i go into Firefox , and hit History , and there is every place i visited in IE7 , on my History in Firefox

Calendar entries not complete

apologies if this has already been discussed, but i have been looking for it in the forum and i have been unable to find anything.
Not sure if any of you have a similar problem, but my calendar entries are quite extensive, specially for conference call details, with a phone # per country, and that creates a big calendar entry.
The problem i have with my iPhone is that it only syncs the first couple of country dialins when, unfortunately, Spain is at the bottom (Australia is the last line i see).
Is there anyway in the calendar setup to have the complete entry in the calendar? Anything i have wrong in my setup??

Can't add new calendar entries after losing all calendar entries

I have asked about retrieving lost calendar entries that I had nothing to do with deleting.
Went to ICloud and there are no entries there, either, even though the calendar is turned on in Settings on my IPhone 5s.
I tried adding new entries to the calendar and it will not accept them.
What is up here?????

I discovered the same yesterday when I tried to create a calendar item. Also got a weird bug on my iPad where in week / landscape mode I can't swipe right unless I swipe left a little and then get some momentum to swipe right.

Calendar entries changing to new timezone

So I just travelled to Europe with my iPhone. Once I got here it sync'd to the new time, and all of my calendar entries changed to the local time. So instead of notifing me of a meeting when it is happeniong, it notifies me 9 hours ahead of time. Though I enjoy being ahead of schedule, it is totally worthless. How can I configure my meetings back into place, yet keep local time?

This is a "feature" not a "bug"...because you can set it either way.
Go into Settings/General/Date & Time and turn Time Zone Support ON
