Calendar event end time at 8.55, but icon shows to about 9.05

can anyone help with the above. the event was created in calendar on imac, and synced across. happens for quite a few meetings which are only 15 mins long or 20 minutes.
happened on mac too, unitl i selected to only show 16 hours a day instead of 24. cant find similar option in iphone
help much appreciated

It can't be that difficult to just ignore the mailing of calendar alerts, all alerts must be tagged, the IM just needs a simple bit of filtering. How can I see Calendar event END times at a glance?

How can I display my Calendar event titles exactly as I type them? I do not want Calendar to remove duration from the titles of my events. Otherwise I can't see event END times at a glance in month view; only start times. How can I "trick" Calendar to just show my titles as I type them - as I always could before I upgraded. I used to be able to enter "Seminar 9am-5:45" and it would appear that way regardless of how or what I chose to enter (or not enter) for duration.
I am running OSX 10.9.3.

It's a bit weird, but if you type in the time info TWICE into the event title then Calendar uses/deletes one of them to populate the event details and leaves the other.

I added a calendar event to repeat every two weeks, but it repeats every day.

I've added a calendar event to repeat every two weeks, but it repeats every day. The original event was set up for all Day on Wednesday, Nov 5. Setting up for a single day worked fine. Add the repeat option and select every two weeks...and it shows up every day until the end date. I've re-booted the phone and tried other start dates. Same result. This is in the base iPhone calendar. No other calendars have been installed. iPhone 6 iOS 8.0.2. Any suggestions?

Found a workaround:
Just change each attribute 1 item at a time.
Create the calendar entry for one day only with no other settings.
Go back in and edit it so that its every two weeks, then leave and confirm this worked.
Open calendar back up and add in the end date.
That's the only way I could get it to accept those settings, one attribute at a time.
Misc. bug I suppose. I miss the "It just works" days. Living in silicon valley, the QA engineering buds I have at apple go on rants about the undisclosed/undiscovered but known bugs in ios every time we're having drinks. From what I hear, internally IOS8/8.1 weren't ready for prime time push just yet.

In downloading my Events from iPhoto on my Mac to my iPad Air, the Events arrive in the proper order but not showing the Key Photo. At the same time, the Events arrive in iPhoto on the iPad in totally random order but showing the Key Photo.Why?

HHi, thank you for the reply. I have checked my iPad and iPhone and neither has iCloud Photo Library (Beta) enabled. Turned off in both. Photostream is turned on.
i tried to sort it out by dragging all the photos to Events on the Mac and then deleting them from iCloud - (left hand side of iPhoto under the section 'Shared'). the photos now show up in Events. I did force quit but the issue remains. The message reads ' photos are bing imported to the library. Please wait for import to complete.'
i can't empty iPhoto trash either. The message read "Delete error. Please wait for import to complete.'
WHen I was moving the photos to the Events I always had a message about duplicates - to the effect that the photos already existed, did I want to import them? I clicked on Yes, import all duplicates. But when it showed the images - duplicates side by side - one showed the photo and the other was blank.
I really don't know what to do! And I don't know how to handle my iOS devices. Is it to do with the large number of photos? Any help, advice appreciated.

Iphone 3Gs Calendar start/end time

I'm putting a lot of calender entries into my phone, but it's annoying that it only shows start times - is there anyway that this can be altered so that it shows start and end times ? It's annoying as if looking at a list, day or month, it doesn't show and could be really useful - is this something that has been suggested before or something that Iphone are looking into for a future update ?!

If a hard reset didn't work, you probably need to restore the iPhone.

How do you access iCloud? Since upgrading to ios5 my phone doesn't automatically sync to itunes any more. Also my calendar events are on my iphone twice, but aren't in outlook.

I'm not sure how iCloud works as far as syncing is concerned.
Events on my calendar are now showing twice on my iphone calendar, but not in the original outlook calendar on my laptop.

Means the iPod encountered and error and you have to connect the iPod to a computer with iTunes and an internet connection and restore via iTunes.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Also say you have iCloud but that requires iOS 5 or later except with your iOS verions (4.3.2) you can redownload iTunes purchases on the iPod.

Calendar Event Invites - Time Zone Issue

Hi all!
I just switched back to BlackBerry from iPhone, and love everything about it so far except one thing: time zone issues on calendar invites.
My work uses an OS X hosted CalDAV server, and I was able to sync my existing calendars to it without issue.
My time zone: Eastern
My coworkers timezone: Central
The Issue: I received an invite from a coworker, and on my Mac, it shows at 1PM Eastern, as it should. The invite was sent for 12PM Central. This same invite appears on my BlackBerry at 7AM Eastern.
Testing completed:
I added an invite on my BlackBerry for 6AM Eastern as a test, and it appeared on my Mac at the correct time without issue.
I added an event on another day from my Mac, and it synced to my BlackBerry without issue.
So it seems that my issue only exists when recieving event invites from others, possibly in different time zones.
My Mac and BlackBerry are both set to Eastern time.
My coworkers Mac and iPhone are set for Central time.
I looked all through the BB settings and cannot find anything that would account for this odd behavior.
I tried a battery pull - same results.
I am on the latest OS available for a Q10: 10.2.1.2976
Can anyone help with this? I would hate to have to go back to iOS for one issue like this, however, an accurate and reliable calendar is critical to my work.

Try this, for a test.
Set your Q10 to GMT Timezone.
Open the calendar, your invtes should be ~5 hours ahead.
Set your TZ back to Eastern.
Check your specific event mentioned above which was at 7am Eastern.
Is it correct now?

Updated Latest End Time in workflow builder but change not taking place

Hello everyone,
In our existing leave application workflow (working fine for many years), we have set a deadline monitoring of Work Item Creation (WIS) + 10 days to send an email back to the applicant if his or her leave application wasn't acted upon by his/her supervisor.
Recently we have made some changes to the leave program and are required to test this deadline monitoring. In development environment instead of waiting for 10 days, we updated the Time field in the Latest End tab to 3 mins and then we generate and activate the workflow (through the Activation submenu in the Workflow menu).
Problem 1: But when the leave program generate the work item, inside the work item the Latest End date and time still show as WIS + 10 days, instead of WIS + 3 mins. We have already run SWU_OBUF and also refresh the organizational environment through SWUS but still to no avail.
Problem 2: When we change the Latest End date of the workitem to trigger the deadline monitoring, nothing happens even though the deadline monitoring batch job (SWWCOND & SWWDHEX) is already running successfully every 3 mins. In the executed action it just show 'Deadline reached' and the work item is in READY status.
In our work flow we have the process control to set the work item to obsolete. Really appreciate for any advice. Thanks.

Sorry, wrong choice of word. What i'm trying to say is as we don't have a workflow expert on our site, me and my colleague were a bit hesitant to manually change the work item deadline. But i see the benefit in doing that. At least now we know that changing the work item deadline would not affect the triggering of the deadline monitoring.

We haven't tied the changed workflow template to any transport request yet as we wanted to test it out in development environment first.

We didn't do any import. Since we're testing the changes in dev, we're directly changing the workflow template and activating it without tagging it to any transport request. But thanks for letting us know about table HRS1205, will give it a look tomorrow afternoon.
And also we're generating new work item for our testing. That's why we were surprise the new work item is still not picking up the WIS+3 mins latest end date.

Time charged in timesheet but not showing up in project

Resource charged time in timesheet , approved by PM and functional manager the time shows in timesheet but not in project for those days?
I have recalled the timesheet,resubmitted and publish project again still don't show up
Anyone knows why

Just to confirm, double check whether the project is published
Open PWA --> Approvals --> History --> Status updates
-Ensure the Approval date, action and published status, publish the plan if it is unpublished.
If that doesn't help,
-->Recall the timesheet, Remove that problematic task which was submitted earlier (note down the hours)
--> Add the assignment again -->Submit the hours, approve and check it again.
Note : there are two possible reasons, either the project plan is not published after the approval or the assignment id not mapped with the appropriate project plan.

Lost music but icons show....

Aaaargh...I'm ready to toss the ipod and the laptop out the window....my husband and I share the same laptop ( not good . Each time he uses the itunes I lose my music. I've been able to find the music and somehow get it to show as an icon. How do I get the music back into itunes ? Why do I keep losing music ? My purchased music keeps on disappearing but by husband's music stays somehow. Help !

Help! No sound from speakers but icon shows its working

I have a Win7 HP G71 that the sound just quit. Everything looks as if it is fine but no sound. Almost like the speakers were disconnected. Any thoughts on why it did this and how to fix it?

From windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Can you post back with the all the devices listed here and if any have warning triangles against them. Can you also post the full Model No. or Part No. of your notebook.

Lost music but icon shows

Aaaargh...I keep losing my music. My husband and I share a computer and it seems his music replaces mine somehow. My music gets lost. I was able to get the folders to the desktop. How do I get the music back into itunes ? How do I stop my music from disappearing from itunes ?

Guessing here....you made a new XP account and that
user doesn't show any songs in iTunes?

Ical event details time different that display time

For some odd reason the event details of any event on any of my ical calendars comes in one hour earlier than the time listed as the start time "today", "list", "day" or "month" listing of events. Only when I go to the event details of any given particular event do I see it listed as having a start and end time exactly one hour before the time the time given in any other part of the ical software. huh? I've gone through all the drama of time zone shifts and timei zone support, so I don't think that is the issue. This is a just the difference between it saying my meeting starts at 3 (which it does) everyone except on the detail for that particular meeting which shows it starting at 2. uhg. Can someone help?

Welcome to the forums, Leslie. Do you mean in Month view? I haven't found a way to show end time in Month view, but it shows automatically in Day and Week views.

How to print a monthly calendar with start and end times

I'm trying to print my monthly calendar and the times of the appointments do not show up.
Am i missing something?

It looks like we're not alone in looking for this feature. I found 28 other posts to this forum alone asking for this functionality (dating back to August 2005).
I know Apple likes to be different and elegant with their apps, but until iCal adds this trivial feature, it's not an adequate replacement for even paper calendars.
Do the engineers in Cupertino not care how long their appointments last? Why not at least let users show the end time on appointments as an option in month view?
