Calendar events in iPhone randomly erased when syncing

So I've had some issues with syncing my iPhone's calendar to iCal. Sometimes after syncing, events that I had edited or added to my iPhone are erased. This seems to happen randomly, however so far it has only been happening with events that I have set to repeat on a weekly basis.
For example, today I put my work schedule for the week into my iPhone. So I edited the repeating events that correspond to my work schedule already in my iPhone to reflect the new times for the week. I edited my start and end times for Monday through Friday. So then I got home and synced to iCal and my work schedule for Friday was erased. Why just Friday while the other days synced up fine? I don't know...
Any ideas as to why this happens? Why wouldn't the event just update on iCal instead of just deleting itself??

I have this exact same problem, but haven't figured out how to fix it. However, some of my events that are getting mysteriously deleted are not repeating events (some are repeating).
So, any help would be appreciated!

Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Calendars>Sync>All Events.
Note: If you're using a work Exchange account, the administrator my have restricted your options for this setting.

As a rule syncing is one way, from the library to the device. There should have been a warning that media content on the device would be removed and replaced with that in the local library. If the content were still on the device it could be recovered with the steps in Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. You can redownload your qualifying past purchases from the iTunes Store, Amazon store, etc. Do you have the previous computer your device synced with, or a backup, from which the library could be recovered?

I haven't seen it mentioned but the secret is to
Sync only selected calendars
Select "Remove Calendars" from the popup window
(This is ambigous: from where are the calendars removed? From the device being synced to)
Click apply.
Oops! My memory is already gone stale. I think I left no calendars selected, then clicked apply. Then I selected the calendars that I wanted, then clicked apply.
In any case, I had a blank calendar on my iPad and then I had all the updated events that I wanted on my iPad.

Cannot edit calendar events on iphone with most of the calendars, one personal calendar has the Edit button available but only on a few events--not all. We hosting the calendars through an ical server, running OSX 10.5.8.
The software is up to date on the computer and on the iphone. Any ideas how to get the edit feature to appear?

The edit feature was working correctly with the calendars and stopped. Performed a sync through iTunes removing syncing preferences first. Did not resolve the issue. I am considering restoring the iphone.

Have read the printer manual, it will contain instructions for connecting it to a network, and then to your Mac. You don't identify this printer so it's difficult to be more specific.
You can also go to the printer manufacturers website and seek assistance there.

You don't sync the MM calendar anymore, you subscribe to it in iCal,
iCal>Preferences>Accounts, enter the details here.
MM should be the default calendar on all clients.

Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SYNC GOOGLE MAPS INTO MY CALENDAR EVENTS on IPhone

I often find myself with spurts of time where I can look up the location of my events, but when I am on the move I don't have a lot time. It would be very helpful to be able to attach locations into my events so that when it's time to go to that event I'm not scrambling trying to find out where it is. I think this would also be helpful for people, like myself, who maintain an executive's calendar and can streamline their day as well. If there is already a way to do this please help...otherwise someone with the means to do this (ie apple/mac) should include this into the next update.

This works for me...
1. From the Maps app, drop a pin and position it where your event is
2. share that pin location via an email or MMS to yourself
3. copy that location from the email/MMS
4. paste it into the Notes section of your calendar event
5. you'll then have a link to Google maps in your event for your event location
...all from your iPhone.

Calendar events on iPhone not syncing to ical or Mobile Me -- Tiger OS

I had to replace my iPhone 3G with another iPhone 3G due to phone problems. Now, events that I had once put in to iCal are still showing up on my iPhone but are not on my iCal or Mobile Me calendar. As per advice on other threads, I did a complete reset through Sync. Now, I have duplicate calendars (different color coding) but still no events. Can someone please help? I'm not using Outlook, I'm using the Tiger OS.

In Settings>iCloud, my account is set up and appears under heading "iCloud."
In Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars, same account listed under heading "iCloud."
In Calendar list in iPhone Calendar app, new calendar is listing along with all others that are part of iCloud account.
All other calendars in that account sync, just not this new one with ics data imported to iPhone.

When I record calendar events on my iphone or ipad I use a 24 clock, which is the basis on which my business runs. I cannot do the same on my Macbook, which is very frustrating and counter-intuitive (i.e. using am/pm). I asked my Apple support here in South Africa. The rep' said he could not answer immediately but would get back to me. I'm still waiting. Surely this is not a 'big' or 'unusual' problem?
