Calendar events keep changing back after I change them

On my iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1600 MHz, Yosemite loaded, calendar 8.0 events will not change. I can add events but not change them. I've tried refresh. I've followed all the troubleshooting re: to iCloud.

Apple's Mail application can use either IMAP or POP. In fact Gmail can be set either way.

• Calendar events an hour early after time change. Help!

I have a Motorola phone.
When the time changed my phone said "Convert events to current time zone?" And I pushed "yes." Now EVERYTHING in my calendar is set an hour earlier! For example, my son has a class at 10:00 this morning, but in my phone it's been changed to 9:00. It's this way with every event. How can I undo this? I don't want to have to go into every event and change the time back! The clock on my phone is correct. I don't know why the calendar events got converted to an hour earlier.
Kat

I already went in and changed everything manually.

Kathrine, a phone calendar can be so important to keep track of daily events, so I want to make sure we get this working for you. First, I'll need to know what phone you have so I check to see if there are settings to change the Calendar settings. • Podcasts keep coming back after I delete them!

Greetings,
I have an iPhone 3Gs (running OS 3.0, of course). I have checked "Manually manage music and videos" in iTunes 8.2 (23). The problem is that podcast episodes I have already listened to and deleted on the iPhone itself keep reappearing there every time I manually drag ANY episode -- even if it's an entirely different podcast -- to the iPhone in iTunes.
I've tried unchecking the no-longer-needed episodes in iTunes (not that that should matter, since I'm manually managing everything), and even DELETING them from iTunes altogether. Doesn't matter. They still magically reappear on my iPhone!
When I drag a podcast episode to the iPhone in iTunes, the status message first says "copying 1 of 1: [name-of-podcast]." Then, briefly it says "Syncing iPhone..." I'm guessing that maybe it's in this last part where some cached copy (?) is getting re-sent. Or maybe it didn't really get deleted from the iPhone when I swiped it and clicked Delete?? I dunno...
This is very annoying as it's difficult to remember which ones I've already listened to and which ones I haven't, when none of them will go away.
Anyone else experiencing this? Known bug?? Fixes???
Thanks!
DM
EDIT: I just realized something else: the episodes that reappear on the iPhone appear to be phantoms. If I actually tap one, the list screen slides to the left to reveal the play screen, but for only a moment; then it slides right back. So the episode isn't really there. Seems to be a problem with the iPhone's management of its podcast lists.

A new observation:
After deleting the podcasts on the phone itself (by swiping the title and then tapping the Delete button that appears), I connect the phone to my computer and launch iTunes. Under "Devices:iPhone" I click "Podcasts" and it shows the list of podcasts that iTunes thinks are still on the phone. The ones I deleted still show up in that list. This would explain why they reappear on the phone's list after I drag new podcasts into it from iTunes. But again, they're not really there. They're just in the list.
So, it seems that the only way to completely rid the phone's podcast list of the ones I delete from the phone is to also manually delete those entries +*from iTunes*+ the next time I connect.
Anyone have any idea if Apple is aware of this??

• Deleted iCloud calendar events keep reappearing

The other day I was trying to subscribe to a shared calendar (schedule for a baseball team). Instead of subscribing I ended up importing the ICS file into my main iCloud calendar. (This happened on the iPad) Unfortunately this means 160+ events, basically one a day from May-September.
I determined that deleting was quickest using iCal on my Mac. But after deleting the events in iCal, the changes did not propogate to my iPad or iPhone calendars.
So I tried on the iPad. I even did a test by deleting one event, and watching it automatically delete on the iPhone. I should point out here that up to now I have not had any problems with iCloud calendar syncing. So then I proceeded to delete all the events on iPad. But still the events persisted on my iPhone!
Just now I deleted one month of the events from my iPhone. I went to the next month, deleted a few more, and when I went back to look at the first month (July), the events had re-appeared.
OKAY HAHA GUYS VERY FUNNY THE JOKE IS ON ME?
I've logged into icloud.com and I see the events are still present there. If I double-click the event, it gives me the message "coudln't load event details". This only happens for these events, not all my events. And the delete buttons is greyed out! Not sure how to get these events out of my iCloud calendar now.
It makes me wonder if iCloud has some logic built in to roll back changes, if too many calendar modifications happen in a short period of time, as a way to prevent unintentional mass-deletion?

I'm having a similar issue trying to delete entire calendars. They keep re-appearing after I delete them! Happens in Calendars on Mountain Lion and in iCloud website (normal and beta)

• My calendar events keep disappearing when I add them to my iphone 5 calendar.

My calendar events keep disappearing from my iphone5 a few days after I put them in. I tried all the fixes listed in other questions, but it's not a matter of syncing or not, the appointments disappear and they're not anywhere else either. I need the appointments to stay on my phone, I don't add appointments any other way or on any other device, and when they're gone, I have no idea what I'm missing. It's screwing up my work schedule because I don't know what has disappeared.

App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data [1] in the file sessionstore.js [2] in the Firefox profile folder [3].
Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.

• Calendar events only go back one year in list view

Although visible in day & month views, calendar events only go back only about one year. And this also seems to preclude them from searches.
This seems to have been reported since 2008, and still exists in iOS 5. Any insight? Or do I need to switch back to Win Mobile?

In my calendar viewing in a list, I can see days back and forth.
View a list of events. In month view, tap to see a day’s events. In day view, tap .
Sorry, the icons are missing above, see this help link:

• I recently removed an outlook account and now all of my calendar events are missing. The majority of them were added from my iphone 4s. How do I retrieve the events? Backing up with iCloud did not help, as I assumed it would.

Outlook is a mail client for PC's (and Macs). It is not a type of account. Do you mean an "Exchange Account"?
If so, then re-add it. The calendar events live on the Exchange Server. The only way to get them back is to re-add the account to the phone. The contents of Exchange and IMAP accounts are not part of the 'backup' as they already exist elsewhere.

• Why won't my line spacing change even after I change the # in the leading panel

why won't my line spacing change even after I change the # in the leading pane

Is this for text you've already typed? Did you select it first? If that's not it, for PSE 11 and 12 go to the far right of the tool options, click the four-lined square and choose Reset Tool. For PSE 10 and earlier go to the far left options bar, click the tiny triangle (or the tool icon for really old versions) and choose Reset Tool.

• How to delete a junk mail that keeps coming back after deleting it from the junk box?

I have a junk mail from February that I really want to delete but it keeps coming back after deleting it several times. It comes back in the junk mail as 'read'.
How should I remove it?
Thanks for your help in advance!

If the email provider is Google, try going to the gmail web portal, (log on from a computer or your iPad using safari), and manually delete the contents of your junk and trash.
I did this today, and the reappearing junk has not (as of yet) reappeared. Knocking on wood.

• Decision Table values changes back after deploy.

Hi All,
I created Decision Table and filled it by some values.
Then I built my Rules Composer project and deployed it.
After that I changed some values in my Decision Table from RulesManager and uploaded their.
Then I deployed my Rules Composer again.
After that I looked in Decision Table from RulesManager again and saw that all values were changed back to their original values.
Does anybody knows is this feature or bug?

Hello SMatveev,
The functionality is as follows:
1. You selected the active version to open the project - made changes to the rules, uploaded this. This version though is the latest, it has not been activated. The rules project which will be open will still be the active version, that means the changes recently made will not be displayed.
2. You selected the latest version to open the project - made changes to the rules, uploaded this. This version is the latest as well as the active version. The rules project which will be open will be the latest version, that means the changes recently made will be displayed.
3. After the changes were made, you uploaded (even activated) the changes. The rules are changed in NWDS and uploaded, now the version of the rules as were in NWDS at the time of deployment will be the latest/active version of rules in the server.
The behavior you saw is expected. (3rd point)
The way to prevent this loss of modifications made to rules using rules manager, is to - first download the runtime version of rules from server using the option available in NWDS; make the required changes to this active version and upload this DC to server.
Best Regards,
Arti

• Calendar Alerts Change back once I change them

This is something I've dealt with for many months, and it's beginning to really aggravate me. I thought maybe it was just a glitch when iOS7 came out, but it's still there. I use my Calendar app often. Have any of you had this issue?:
Here's how it goes. I set a Calendar Event, using the default Calendar app that comes with the iPhone (iPhone 5, specifically). I put in all the necessary information, then set a time, then typically I set some sort of an alert. I have my phone set to default to a 2-hour alert, however, there are some "Events" I don't want a 2-hour alert for.
For instance, I babysit for a family regularly on the weekends, however, not all weekends. This is something I would like to see in my calendar (the convenient little gray dot that appears when viewing month or week views in the app), but that I do not want an alert for. I just need to see that it's there when making other plans.
Recently, when I was entering that schedule for the next few months, as to which weekends I'd be babysitting, and which ones I am not, I would create the event, set the times, then set the alert to 'none'. Not even minutes later, I realized I'd forgotten to enter some other detail, so I went back to edit it, and it had defaulted back to 2-hour alert. So I switched it back to 'none', then hit 'done'. Went back into the event to check that it stayed, and AGAIN, it was a 2-hour alert.
This happens ALL THE TIME. I noticed it especially when setting two alerts for something. I'll set 'Alert' for 1-day ahead, then a 'Second Alert' for 2 hours ahead. Right in front of my eyes while i'm still in edit mode, it will switch them around, entering different alert times. Or sometimes it will add a second alert when I don't want one.
If there's a pattern, I can't tell what it is. The only thing consistent is that it happens all the time.
Any thoughts?

Oh, I'm so glad you posted this. I have spotted this a few times. The first times I noticed this was after I'd set the reminders and checked them days later. At first thinking "wow that was silly of me to set the first alert after the second alert". Recently I have actually spotted the first and second alerts swap before my eyes when I set them. I have noticed, if you set the alerts again they do stay put the second time.
Sorry, I don't have an answer for this annoying glitch, but I am going to watchtower his thread for updates.

• How do I get my missing calendar events back after MobileMe deleted them from my iphone after syncing?

I signed up for MobileMe about a month ago. I noticed today that all of my calendar events from the last 18 months are missing on my iphone. I checked on MobileMe online and they are there. 'Sync' to me means 'make the two entries identical on the PC and the iPhone' not 'Move it to the online MobileMe and delete it from the phone'.
Is there anyway to get them back on my phone? If I had know this was going to happen I never would have signed up for MobileMe.
Thanks,
Ken

• Screen resolution does not change back after using a projector

Hi!
My office uses several different models of macbooks, but there is a small problem with all the Airs. When I have been using them with a projector I have to change back the screen resolution manually (go to the system settings and change resolution). On the macbook pros, however, the desktop restores themselves as soon as the projector is disconnected. It seems to me that this should be the standard behaviour of all macs, does anyone know why it is not working on the Airs?
Best regards
Erik

Hi Erik,
I had this problem on a MacBook and resolved it by recreating some plist files.
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.windowserver.xxxxxxxxxxxx.plist
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.preference.displays.xxxxxxxxx.plist
The xxxx's are your machine's EthernetID (MAC Address). I wouldn't delete, rather just move them to your Desktop and restart the computer. See if that resolves it.

• Why do i have to keep pressing f5 after every change in CSS to see liveview?

I have to click/F5 on live view button after making changes in CSS every time i change anything. is there a way to make live view automatic?

Luis, I import the clip from a folder on my hard disk that does replicate the file on the camera card, and the clip does have a little camera icon in the bottom left corner of the screen (see the images below).
